Lake House is the perfect getaway destination, if you need to 'recharge' your batteries.
Rooms are spacious and well equipped, breakfast is fantastic and certainly sets you up for the day.

We are just nearing the end of our stay at the lake house. Have to say it’s been lovely! The room was very clean and spacious and the free bottle of prosecco in the room was much appreciated! Staff have all been very kind and helpful and the breakfast we just had was great. Definitely will be returning in the future and will recommend to everyone. Thanks for a lovely stay guys.

Had a night away from the pressures of real life, this hotel is a real hidden gem, the views are stunning, rooms beautiful, comfy and perfect. The staff were extremely helpful and polite and the breakfast was delicious and very filling. We will definitely be returning again soon x x.

Just returned home from a 3 night stay at The Lake House, well what can I say, it was just perfect. Stayed in one of the hideaway rooms and what a room, lovely comfortable room, wonderful views! Breakfast was just fantastic and the staff where so friendly and helpful!
We will definitely be back for another stay soon.

Great rooms, great view, elegant and stylish, warm and welcoming. Friendly staff nothing was too much trouble. Very pleased with the place and will return. Also the meal at 'Table 22' was amazing will certainly stay here again in the future.

Great stay at the lake house! The staff were very welcoming and it was nice, clean and tidy inside and out. The rooms are nice and spacious. We were in room 6 and the only problem we had was we found it too warm, quick adjustment on the radiator and opened the window and it was a perfect temperature. The bathroom was lovely, everything you could need was there, the water is red hot so be careful! Breakfast was very nice just the right amount! 100% stay there again.

Great location and picturesque, lovely friendly staff and great food. The rooms are lovely and really quirky and spotlessly clean.

We had such a great stay at Lake House last December. The room and bathroom was large, comfortable, and had all the amenities we needed. The view was spectacular. The staff was so friendly. The breakfast was wonderful. Unfortunately we only stayed one evening, but it was one of the highlights of our Christmas trip to the UK. I look forward to visiting the Lake District again and staying here!

Stayed in this hotel for 3 nights last month. A beautiful hotel in a beautiful location. Its situated centrally and is opposite the lake and provides easy access to local transport, boat and bus trips. However what made the hotel extra special were the staff. Very welcoming, friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was great too. Plentiful and with a lot of variety. Sets you up for the day. This was my first visit to the Lake district, but it definitely won't be my last.

We had a wonderful 2 day stay at the Lake House in one of their Hideaway apartments outside the main hotel. Very clean and comfortable accommodation. The staff are very helpful and friendly. We are looking forward to returning there again soon.

Lovely location at the head of the lake, very clean and well appointed, intimate Hotel, great food and service with comfortable rooms.

Excellent stay at the Lake House. Incredibly friendly staff, highly recommended. Decent breakfasts too. Asked for a bacon sandwich, not on the menu, no issue at all. Great service, always very friendly, asking how our day has been etc. Great place. Clean, tidy, lovely. ☺️

Stayed here last night, room no 17, Excellent hotel, lovely view over the lake, breakfast was very nice, lovely attentive staff, would highly recommend and would definitely stay again.

Very nice welcome with fresh flavoured Water on arrival. Very friendly staff Excellent decor very very clean throughout. Comfy double bed with spacious room. Very nice location not far from ambelside, windermere. Breakfast has a nice selection and a high standard except the sausages could be a better quality. We really enjoying our stay and would stay again.

We stayed in one of the rooms separate from the main house and were very pleased with our stay. We found the room to be spacious and bright with a lovely view of the fells and lake, and with a clean modern bathroom. Breakfast was great with plenty of options, and the location was perfect — just a short walk across the road to the lake and ferry stops, or a longer 10 minute walk in to Ambleside where pubs and restaurants await. Recommended.

Lovely setting with nice views of Windermere and the hills beyond. Room was modern and quiet and breakfast set us up nicely for the day ahead.

Spent my honeymoon here. Loved every minute of it! Cosy and clean rooms, brilliant breakfasts and beautiful views. The only downside is that I didn't like the fact that once you've left the front garden, there's no pavement until you've crossed the road. However, I can't blame that on them!

Lovely hotel very clean and nice breakfast only thing was didn't have a full length mirror in the room and the breakfast in bed only came with 1 tray for 2 people so was a bit awkward to eat needed a tray each. Stayed in room 7 view of car park and back of houses but still had a nice stay bit of a walk into town about 20 mins not 10 as stated!

I have stayed here on a few occasions & have enjoyed it every time. Breakfast has improved, used to be self service which was a bit hit & miss. Now they take your orders which is a great improvement.

A lovely guest house with friendly staff and great rooms. Would certainly stay again without a doubt.

Our stay was lovely. The hotel staff was wonderful and very helpful. The Wi-Fi in the hideaway rooms was really good and it was very quiet. The breakfast was delicious with a variety of choice catered for. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend this place to others as you are literally a couple of minutes walk to the boat pier trips that takes you to all the main places on the lake.

Great location, footsteps from the lake and short walk to the city (about 10 to 15 minutes). The check-in and check-out are quick and simple. The staff are very friendly, welcoming and accommodating. The rooms are very nice (each one has its own style) and breakfast is good. I recommend the hotel for groups and solo travelers.

The Lake House has an excellent view if you get the right rooms! There is more than enough parking space if you're driving and it was very centrally located in ambleside. The staff was really helpful as well. Breakfast was pretty good as well — the croissants were freshly baked. However, what falls short of a 5 star for me was the room (12). It's was pretty stuffy with just one small window and the weather was pretty hot. The view from my room was also not that spectacular. Tip: Ask for rooms 4-6, 9, 10. They seem to have the better view. Still, I would probably come back and request for a better room when I'm in Lake District in the future!

Absolutely gorgeous B&B. They were even kind enough to give us a free upgrade to one of there "Hideaway" rooms (room 17) and the view was amazing! Service, staff and cleanliness was perfect. Couldn't have asked for a better place to stay whilst visiting the Lake District. Cannot wait to book again next year!
