Love Ambleside but to have somewhere like this as your base made all the difference. Hosts were friendly and went out of their way to make you feel very welcome. Accommodation was first class and the tasty breakfast was just the thing to start you up for the day. Really enjoyed our visit and hope to return when we are next in the area. Huge thankyou Janet, Stuart and family.
Janet and her Guest house are perfect. We've been touring England for two weeks and this is the best place. Beautiful and would suggest you all should stay here. So lovely.

Superb hospitality and a winning breakfast — lean tasty bacon and the best poached eggs I've ever had anywhere. Lovely thick duvet on the bed for these cold nights. Linen and towels have a lovely fresh, clean smell. Janet was very informative and gave us some great tips for dining out and discounts on ferries etc. Homemade cakes for you to help yourself, and there was even my favourite lemon drizzle, and wine if you want it. Faultless. Will definitely return and will pass my secret onto my friends and colleagues. Thank you for a very enjoyable stay. Xx.
