I am disgusted that not only do they not answer the phone, do not allow messages to be left and have a web site that appears to be down at all times! Would I stay there? I don't know. If anyone knows the secret pass words to get a response from this place, then please let me know. Disgusted.
Staff friendly and good very tasty and good value. Rooms and hotel look a little tired and could use some renovation. Rooms very warm and fairly basic for the price. Good location for visiting Hadrian's Wall and surrounding areas.

A drizzly afternoon, last minute, looking for a simple room, we were welcomed and put up like royalty. The room was top drawer, the restaurant served hearty and fresh food, and the staff was small town friendly, rural quiet, but open and accommodating. I always speak glowingly about our night in Corbridge at the Wheatsheaf. The roman museum at the edge of town was an added treat. Who knew?
