We visited the Devon and Cornwall Inn this weekend for a birthday celebration and had a fantastic time. The staff were all friendly and welcoming, accomodating to all our dietary needs. The waiting time for the meals was minimal and cooked to an exceptional standard with no complaints. Highly recommend and will certainly be returning in the future.

Spent 3 nights there. Brill staff n really nice rooms. N excellent food. The chef phillip is an amazing chef. We be back very soon.

Lovely friendly local pub. The staff were all very cheery and friendly — as were the locals. We were all felt to be welcomed from the moment we walked in. The dogs were comfortable and were offered fresh water bowls. Lovely local pub.

Friendly pub with good food and beverages. A feature was the bar stool aerial set up on the rear wall for world cup games in rear garden.

Always a friendly and welcoming with great service. The choice of drink on tap should keep most people happy and the food is just proper good pub food, always worth skipping dinner and having a pint and a bite to eat. If you're lucky to be available on certain days, there is live music on occasion, such as Michael Collins and when there isn't that there is a meat raffle and quiz nights to keep you occupied. But hands down, Liz is the best Landlady and it wouldn't be the same atmosphere without her, so if you have 5 minutes or 5 hours, pop in and have a bite… you might end up staying longer.

At first thought it didn't look too bad but looks can be deceiving. Thought for the price rooms would be a little better. Shower was dreadful with poor water flow and temperature. The bed although comfy had some rubbish pillows. As one of the only places to eat in the village we decided to eat in. We ordered our meals 2 of us having steaks then the others having a lasagne and a burger. Food took a little while to arrive but once on the table looked good but once again looks can be deceiving. To start offthe lasagne was cold then my partner said her steak tasted funny as soon as she'd said that I had another bit of mine which was clearly off as it tasted sour. Subsequently we refused to pay for the food and retired to our rooms. We both had a shocking night as the room was very noisy and I was very ill. At breakfast the following morning neither my partner or myself had breakfast as we felt awful. My mother found a lovely long blond hair in her breakfast and that was it time to get out of there. Will definitely not be returning under no circumstances.

Brilliant staff, Great selection of beers and a great atmosphere!

Lovely friendly hosts, room was lovely spacious, just the right temperature. Breakfast was lovely, highly recommneded.

It's ok but an older persons pub and a bit cold.

I have really enjoyed my stay. The room is great the foods good and the staff are really friendly.

Very friendly staff and atmosphere. Free Wi-Fi and food is very nice also. Would recommend the muscles and burger.

Food was really good and the atmosphere was too. All in all we had a very enjoyable evening here.

Friendly service, good selection on tap and the food is well priced and tastes delicious. Thoroughly recommend you pop in especially on a sunny day for the beer garden and maybe a cheeky BBQ.

Great place to go for a meal.

We Stayed at the D&C at the beginning of September 2016 when we visited for my Aunties funeral, from the minute we arrived we were made to feel so very welcome by the staff and the local Patrons, the Room was lovely and clean, the staff were amazing, the food absolutely Fantastic, we would deffinatley recommend if your in Cornwall you Visit the D&C even if its only for a Meal and the amazing Hospitality of all the Staff, who always aim to please. We ended up extending our stay and really did not want to come home. Now looking forward to our stay for New Year which we booked a couple of months ago, Can't wait to see you all again xxx.

Lovely homely atmosphere, owner and staff can't do enough for you. Superb food, good home cooked selection. A little remote to get to, but we'll worth the narrow country lanes. Highly recommended.
