Beautiful Sandy beach, great views, cafe, toilets and friendly staff. Love to sit and watch the waves. My puppy loves it all too. Always come down the slope rather than all the steps 😁. Being local I’m here a great deal it’s just stunning all along the shoreline here.

We usually spend our time on holiday at Porth Beach but ventured to Tolcarne for surf lessons. It is a really lovely beach and great to be able to buy food and drinks and use toilets. We will definitely visit again when we are back in Cornwall!

Loved this stay, staff were so helpful, beach cabin was amazing and restaurant was fab. Already planning our next trip xx.

Amazing accommodation on the beach, very family friendly, great rock pools, great for surfing and then come off the beach to a hot shower. Tracey and the staff couldn’t do enough for us, one of my favourite holidays!

Steep steps down or a longer sloped road down but well worth it. Clean beach, cafe and icecream shop on the beach. No lifeguards at this time of year but the waters still pretty cold anyway. Not as busy as Fistral so nice to relax on.

Great beach… dogs allowed at this time of year too.

We had the most wonderful 2 night break for my 40th birthday really can not recommend this place enough everything from the views to the cocktails was amazing, apartment was clean spacious and well equipped, food was fabulous and staff were amazing they went above and beyond and was all very much appreciated thank you, we will be back in the future.

I want to thank all the staff for making my wifes 40th memrobale you were fantastic so helpful. We would come back in a heartbeat.

What a fantastic place, first stay here and we loved it. Stayed in colonial room 5. View from room just amazing, position could not be better. Restaurant had small menu-but breakfast and dinner was delicious and the sunsets wow. Staff are very friendly and welcoming we will definitely return.

We have just had the most amazing long weekend at Tolcarne Beach Village. We stayed in one of the Beach Houses which gave ample space for me, my husband and our toddler. Could not believe that we were literally on the beach! The views were stunning, the decor in the Beach House is superb and the staff were fantastic. Seriously, every member of staff we encountered was polite, helpful and very friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. The restaurant was also excellent. The setting is amazing, we felt like we were a million miles away from "real life". We didn't want to leave and I'm sure we'll be back at some point in the future xx

This place keeps improving. We first visited six years ago. It’s our 4th visit this year and we were impressed with the new restaurant and bar development. The complex is a fantastic holiday location especially if you enjoy surfing. The staff are great and all have a “No problem” attitude. A shame the Venus cafe didn’t open every day as I was craving an ice cream and couldn’t get one on two of the days! We’ll definitely be back.

I really dont want to write a decent review because I want the place to myself. However this place is amazing. Stayed for a couple of nights whilst working at the Cornwall show. 10/10 guys for making our stay so welcome. Those views are amazing. Looking straight out to sea first thing in the morning with a brew.

Our stay was perfect…
We were greeted upon arrival by the staff… one of the men carried our bags to our cabin with no fuss, The cabin was also deccorated with Birthday Banners and Balloons… and we even got given cream teas mmm my fav!
Our doorstep was literally on the Beach! Which gave us fantastic views during our stay…
Me and my partner got the chance to eat dinner and breakfast at the Colonial the food and staff were superb! Food portions were very generous, and the waiters were friendly and nothing was too much trouble! I would highly recommend the accomidation, food and staff!

Beautiful place, right on Tolcarne Beach and below the road meaning all you can hear in the evening is the relaxing noise of the waves. The room was lovely, clean with a high class feel to it. The bar/restaurant was the same, food was amazing and cocktails fantastic. Staff were lovely and we will definitely be returning. If you book a stay here you will not be disappointed. 5 stars all day long from us.

Stunning new pub and restaurant lovely beach.

Very clean and tidy beach, also has a lifeguard on duty. Toilets, surf hire and cafe are also available. You cannot drive down to the beach unless you are staying in the accomodation there. If you are driving down you need to mount the footpath between the posts of a pedestrian crossing, then follow a very narrow and Winding Road down towards the beach where there is very limited parking below the cliffs. Restaurant has very good seafood.

Lovely beach that never gets crowded. Basic in facilities but still lifeguarded and with decent surf a lot of the time. Some caves to explore and its a short walk on to Great Western beach. There is a hotel bar and cafe on the beach to feed and water you.

Very nice beach with great views of the breaking waves and rugged coastline. Not a spot of litter anywhere to be seen either. I definitely want to come back here!

AMAZING! Beautiful place, staff are wonderful, so friendly and welcoming. Stayed in the beach hut for our honeymoon … wow! The staff made our stay so special! Will definitely come back again and would definitely recommend it.

Absolutely beautiful and the most fantastic fun. Nice high, crashing waves that have you screaming for more. The sand is soft and clean. Can't wait to go back.

Stayed in the beach hotel. Great spacious room almost on the beach. Relatively quiet location. Good restaurant. Narrow access road. Parking half way down.

Really nice beach. Facilities ok. Children enjoyed surfing lesson. Road down a bit steep for wheelchair users. Steps down are fine for able bodied people. Parking restricted to local private car parks. £7-8 for day parking.

Had a short break here in June 2018 with wife and kids. Loved it! Such wonderful views from the lovely accommodation we rented. Friendly staff too.

Thank you all at Tolcarne for a most wonderful week. We have stayed before and were so looking forward to a family week with my daughter and grandchildren in two apartments, we were so thrilled from start to finish. All staff are welcoming, friendly and informative, the apartments are comfortable, light and so relaxing. The new restaurant was very good and the views were as stunning as ever. The only problem we had was convincing the grandchildren that we couldn’t live there! Once again thank you and see you again soon.

Thank you to all the team at Tolcarne who were fabulous from start to finish. We stayed in Beach Cabin 10 which had a very comfortable double bed with en suite shower room. The room was decorated with a just married banner and a bottle of bubbles and cream tea had been left for us in the little fridge. We visited 5 years ago as a new couple and this time stayed as part of our honeymoon! The beach has undergone a bit of a transformation, with the introduction of the Colonial Restaurant which was excellent. We ate 3 times in the restaurant and we preferred it to our visit to Mr Steins restaurant in Padstow! The view from the sundeck watching the sunsets were magical! The beach is accessed by steep steps and there is a narrow road leading down to the beach which by prior arrangement can be used to drop off luggage. We hired a canoe and paddled to various bays from Tolcarne but mostly we enjoyed the peace and quiet of the evenings exploring the rock pools and caves when the tide went out and having cocktails at the Colonial. Thank you to Tracy and the whole team, nothing was too much trouble and we can't wait to come back. Polly & Simon.

Love to come back here. So relaxing having a vacations here with my friends. So nice overlooking sea. The accommodation is good the rooms are good also the staffs are friendly and responsive.

Absolutely one of the finest places to eat and drink in Newquay. Setting, view food and cocktails are out of this world. Cannot recommend it more.

Went there for some food during out holiday. We had never been before impressed by the place food very nice and lovely view directly on the beach! Also had a look online at the accommodation and it looks amazing!

Nice area, but most of the hotels are pretty run down.

Been here with the family over the last three years. Great accommodation, beach and body boarding. The Breaks restaurant is really good too (especially compared with local beach restaurants like Lusty Glaze) good selection of food, lovely setting. Venus fast food is also great for those "staying in the water" all day meals.

Stayed in the beach cabins which were incredible. Actually right on the beach! My girlfriend and I had a 2 night break, staff were great from booking to making sure we were happy during the stay. Walked into town across the beaches and everything we needed was at Tolcarne.

I have never wrote a review before but I just had to write one for tolcarne. I have just got back from a long weekend at the tolcarne beach apartments, I went along with family and we had such a brilliant time. The location was fantastic, the apartment was beautiful, the view was stunning, everything about it was superb. We cant wait to go again, the only fault that I could say is that to get to the top of the cliff where the nightlife, restaurants, tescos, arcades, aldi, taxis, bus stops, train station and town centre are you have to go up 137 steps. I was thinking to bring my gran the next time I visit but I know for sure that she would definetly not beable to do it so I think ill give thet a miss. You might want to try stavros's greek taverna which is ver near, that was very nice. Make sure to take pleny of warm clothes as it gets very chilly being near the sea. If you are thinking of going please dont hesitate, you wont regret it.
