We went to a 90th birthday…beautiful meal, wonderful staff making it a lovely evening.

My husband and myself stayed in your hotel this weekend and we had amazing stay. Bedroom was massive really comfy bed u just sunk into lovely. The whole hotel was spotlessly clean and smelt amazing. Food was a high standard and nothing was any trouble very polite and helpful. Would definitely recommend this hotel and we would never return in the further.

We have had a brilliant holiday thanks to the friendly staff and the warm welcome.

Lovely hotel with friendly staff. Covid has changed a few things but overall I can't complain and the staff really try to make customers comfortable. I really needed a pharmacy (not the one near the hotel as they were useless) and the staff helped me to locate one and directed me so I could get what I needed (boots) and nothing has been too much trouble) we stayed in 147 (my mum and I) for my nan and Grandads memorial and it has been a fab experience! thank you ❤

Lovely stay nice and clean, staff members were brilliant and helpful, we stayed with our dog, and he loved the treats and blanket's that were left for him in our room, we will be returning hopefully soon,

We visited the Hotel Bristol not long after re-opening post Covid. The hotel has thoughtfully opened with guest and staff safety in mind. Although the hotel restaurant is not open due to social distancing regulations, the bar offers a fantastic menu with plenty of vegetarian and vegan options. Breakfast “in the room” was great with a full choice of freshly produced goods — the sausage bap a particular favourite (all without getting out of my pyjamas! )
Thanks to the hard work of the hotel we had a great stay with no concerns about safety, thoroughly recommended,

Parents attended the murder mystery evening last night, had a great night, thoroughly enjoyed it, thank you. They said cast were great, staff really looked after them, food amazing… definitely be booking your next event, thank you for looking after them xxx.

Was here for a family meal on Thursday night. Can I just say the food was immaculate and the mussel starter was probably one of the best I have ever had. Hats off to the chef, looking forward to returning. The waiting and bar staff are all great and love the revamped bar area.

We stayed here last year and enjoyed it dough. We stayed again this year and great good staff were amazing!

The staff here have been great!
The rooms are modern with good bathrooms and showers.
Breakfast is good too.

Lovely place and good breakfast, nothing much special but great place for short break.

We were lucky enough to have a sea view room at the front of the hotel which made our stay. Breakfast was great and plenty of choice. Kids loved the swimming pool! You can tell the hotel is a little old as was dated in places but we were really happy with our stay and got a last minute bargain! Great location and would be happy to stay again.

Great food, excellent staff and OPEN to Non Residents! Must try it when you visiting Cornwall.

We spent couple days for anniversary had lovely time staff were all great Ade in the bar was fantastic made great cocktail we will defo be back again.

Went here with my boyfriend on Christmas Day for dinner and left with my “fiancé” after a very special dinner.

This hotel is on a splendid location, but a bit outdated. Rooms are alright but not the best and they tend to give the worst room to the guide of groups when they should know that people working all day like us and drivers need quiet and secluded room but not the worst. Restaurant and food are ok but service is too slow and food a bit under the average to be in Cornwall.

Right on the sea front, great for business use and entertaining customers. Good value restaurant and terrific staff. I have been to the Bristol a few times and have never been disappointed.

Very disappointed wasn't cheap. We went with another couple and paid the same money for very different rooms. They had a lovely room ours was very out dated the shower was like a drizzle, the bed was small and rock hard awful night sleep. They gave us free breakfast and said they would look into this and email me. Received an email which wasn't helpful. Think we should have had some compensation for the such poor room conditions yet our friends paid the same and had a lovely room. Shame as wouldn't recommend. But the breakfast was 10/10

We absolutely loved our stay here. The family room with sea view was perfect! All the staff are so helpful and always friendly. Makes your stay so much more. Loved reading about the history of the place in their info book in the room. Breakfast the next day was lovely. Even had a table for us with highchair waiting for us. Normally I need to ask for one but not here. They'd got it all sorted before we went down.

I live locally and attended an event held here. The staff were very helpful and the food and service was excellent. It is a combination of the past and efficient present as it has been here for many years.

We had our wedding here yesterday, I can't recommend this hotel enough, the day was perfect. Food was lovely, the rooms were laid out beautifully and Emma has been so helpful and kept in touch for the last few months to ensure we had a perfect day. Nothing was too much trouble, everything we asked for was done. The room we stayed in was spacious with a beautiful sea view. We are very happy we decided to get married here. Highly recommended. Thankyou so much to all the friendly staff.

Located right on the sea front, the hotel is beautifully situated for enjoying Newquay. There is free parking available just behind the hotel — remember to ask at reception for a permit. The rooms are well equipped, of a good size and light and airy. The hotel is quiet, the staff are friendly and very helpful. We only had breakfast in the hotel so can't comment on the evening meals but breakfast was tasty, well presented and quick to arrive. Overall, we've had a great weekend break and the hotel has been an excellent centre for a touring holiday in Cornwall.

Great hotel in a good location. The building is a bit tired but very clean and the staff are lovely.

We stayed for two nights in one of the refurbished suites which was lovely. Nothing was too difficult for the staff who did they everything they could to make our stay enjoyable. Food was nice and wine list was good Will certainly stay here again when in the area… bedroom at the front of the hotel so the view was spectacular.

Booked a cheap deal for a couple of nights and was pleasantly surprised when we arrived. Opened our door to find we had a room with a sea view and a lovely bay window with a very comfortable seat and table. The room was spotlessly clean and had quality biscuits and tea/coffee facilities. All the staff we encountered were extremely friendly. The hotel itself, though old, does not show its age. There is a large restaurant which we didn't use, and a bar where bar meals are served at very reasonable prices. There really is no need to go into town to eat. We will definitely stay here again when visiting Newquay as we really can't think how you could want better at this price.

Nice room & comfy bed. Small shower cubicle if for a big person. Nice breakfast. Good location. Pleasant staff.

Great location for Tolcarne Beach visitors. Has all hotel comforts including an indoor pool. Has been in the same family for 3 generations yet part of the Best Western chain which gives it all the contemporary bells and whistles. Good value single rooms.

We had three wonderful days at the hotel, we couldn't fault anything the staff are always willing to help, the food is first class, even the butter is at the correct temperature, with more than a a hint of Silver Service, although food is now plated with only vegetables in side dishes, the room was quite nice we were on the third floor room 348 comfortable bed but the on suite was dated but even that is being addressed by a refurbishment currently underway on the first floor (but you'd be hard pushed to notice the work being done, but it definitely is being done. ) the pool is a warm & inviting but not updated yet. We will be returning at a future date, looking to repeat the most relaxing experience we've had for some time.

Excellent just doesn't seem like a proper word for this hotel it's really better than that I can't explain but I know we loved our stay there thank you too all the staff.

Entertaining evening attending a murder mystery based on cluedo characters. The service was excellent, plenty of waiting staff and there was no pressure to select meal prior to attendance. Good wine waiter and selection of wines. Conversation with guests that were staying over revealed how pleased they were with their accommodation, the size of the room and it's view over the sea.

I have attended the Lowender Peran festival for the best part of 30 years, this year it was held at the Hotel Bristol for the first time. The hotel & staff totally embraced the festival & made it an amazing weekend for all who attended! The number of staff on duty at all times was amazing & every single one of them extremely helpful & attentive. Food — not A la carte, but good value for money. Menu written especially for the festival and was served extremely quickly. Breakfas…t was plentiful & anything you asked for you got. Afternoon cakes were delicious & to top it all Cornish parties at the end of the night! A tradition of the festival that could not be missed. Accommodation — there is a rolling programme of refurbishment at the hotel I believe, I don’t think it had reached our room, however the room was clean, beds comfortable, lovely hot powerful shower & rooms serviced well. Pool — a little tired, but water was very warm & my 7 year old loved a little splash about, so box ticked. Ladies toilets ground floor — refurbished, always clean, never out of toilet paper, just one little pointer, it was quite frustrating having to try each door every time to see if it was vacant. Some ladies stood there for ages waiting, only to find there wasn’t actually anyone in there. Vacant/engaged (or similar) sign would be good Staff — now for the best bit, the staff were truly amazing ALL of the time across the board.

Quaint and lovely, if a little dated. I like it I'm here for a festival: Lowender Peran Celtic Festival, so the place is buzzing with activity, music and dance. And it's November The hotel is a lovely place to enjoy the festivities. I'm coming again. …

Budget hotel but very pleasant for the price. Rooms a bit warm but they sent up a fan and the staff are really attentive and friendly. Quite central with an easy 5 minute walk to the centre of town so perfect location.

So far so good. Clean, good location and staff are helpful. Havnt eaten here so can't comment.

Great location with included parking, and as in walking distance to the town centre, this effectively saves money. Breakfast was great — a 'full Cornish'. Yum. Rooms are great for the money.

This place was very nice. I had other plans fall through and they were friendly and able to accommodate me. My room was clean and the amenities were acceptable. I would stay here again. The Wi-Fi worked well here.

If I'm stopping in Cornwall and near to Newquay I try to stay here. Being honest you will find more stylish hotels however the service here is what counts. Rooms are OK but clean and above all comfortable. It's very close to the centre of the town so plenty of selection of different restaurants and pubs to choose from. There is a small pool, not used on this visit, but it's normally quite and on a previous visit my kids enjoyed making it their own. Breakfast here is very good.

Lovely hotel, wonderful sea view, comfy bed and spotless! I stayed for a function and staff coped really well, service was excellent and the meal delicious. Only slight gripe I was brought a bottle of wine to the table and is was already open. I know waiters no longer have to pull corks but I still believe bottles should be opened at the table, not in the kitchen. Full Cornish breakfast all freshly cooked and our (slightly grumpy) breakfast waitress brought us loads of extra toast and four pots of tea. Highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel is very well located, just opposite Tolcarne beach with easy access to the beach and the town. The hotel is a little dated but appears to be currently under renovation. I cannot in any way find fault with the service this hotel gives. I will rebook accommodation here in the future.

I have stayed at Bristol so many times. Yes the hotel is old, but has class. Staff are always friendly and kind. Will go again.
