Fantastic bar visited a few times this year on my last visit (lads night out) we called in for a few gins which some are made in house and taste amazing paul the owner even took the time to explain to us how he makes his gin really nice guy.
Will look forward to visiting again next year.

Lovely Gins that are distilled in the bar, my favourite being the Pink Peppercorn with Aromatic Tonic! So much so I bought a bottle!

Love this chilled out bar. Great choice of amazing gins and offers a wide variety. Cosy friendly place. Especially enjoyed vinyal night! Owner is so nice, helps choose some great choices in gins for us to try and nice warm welcome with his beautiful dogs too.

Really lovely place, away from all the noise. Perfect for a couples or people who just want to chill out.

Lovely rooms clean and designed to a t the kind of thing I look for in a room Paul the owner is so very laid back cool and friendly makes u so welcome the bar below has got a very laid back ambient atmosphere with so many gins and ales the people coming are friendly and cool not forgetting dog friendly will defo come a again highly recommended Dee and Eddie.

If you like craft and local beers, this is a must! Fantastic range of drinks amd extremely knowledgable staff make this a haven for beer lovers. I recommend the Rye. P. A. Amd the alcoholic ginger ales as a starting point. Clare will help you with the rest, ask her abouy room temp beers!

Lovely atmosphere, and décor was brilliant. The environment wasn't loud either which was brilliant as you can a conversation. The staff behind the bar was quite and bearly heard what he said.

Popped in here as we had some time spare before eating out, and I'd heard great things about this new bar. Not disappointed at all I'm pleased to say. Cosy and friendly atmosphere, with a very friendly, chatty owner. Decor very trendy. Superb range of gin's including a few Cornish ones, also great range of beers, altho not too many on draught. I did however have a great pint of IPA from Falmouth. Couldn't recommend enough, and will certainly be back.

We popped in for drinks after seeing the sign on the highstreet. The bar was nicely decorated and there was a good atmosphere. Drinks were great.

Lovely place, great owner, wonderful dogs. But it is very expensive, £5 pint, if it was £4 I would be going here a lot more.

My husband and I decided to have a short break in Newquay for the first time and we stayed here at 55 yards. We have the best stay and were warmly welcomed by Kate and Paul. The hotel was lovely, rooms had their own character and were super cosy. All the staff including the bar staff were just so great and gave us lots of advice on places to go and things to do. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone and hope to return in the future for another great break! Thanks Kate and Paul!

We decided we wanted to go away for the bank holiday weekend — it was a very last minute decision, fortunately we found 55 Yards. We loved our 3 night stay, we stayed in room 1. It was spacious and decorated to a high standard. We loved the little quirky touches that was made. Me and my husband love the idea of help our selves to breakfast, there was plenty of choice (fresh fruit daily, bread, bagels, smoked salmon, salami selection, fresh milk and juice). We could help our selves whenever we wanted with no time restrictions! Which is handy when you feel like a lazy morning!
The bar itself has a relaxing feel and again filled with quirky stuff. Kate and Paul (the owners) were very welcoming and friendly. They went through the best restaurants around Newquay and was very happy to book a table for us.
Thankyou for a great stay, we will be returning in the near future and will recommend you to others.

The price of the wine is far to high — 7.50 a glass for something we had never heard of — and I am a wine drinker — wasn't exceptional. The bottle was 29!. Beer was limited. Not impressed at just over 10 for glass of wine and half of lager. Surroundings are just ok — bar staff didn't have a smile between them and menu was very limited. As locals we feel its not worth a re visit for us sadly x.
