Myself & my husband spent the afternoon at the pool, we both had full body massages booked.
The pool was so serene and quiet with a fantastic sauna & steam room. The view is simply stunning. We were met by Joanne who booked our treatments who has such a lovely warm demeanour.
Jade was our masseuse who was friendly and attentive, with a very professional manner.
The massage was just what the dr ordered and myself and my husband felt refreshed.
The treatment room is lovely & the view is just amazing over the sea.
I thoroughly recommend a trip to the spa for a massage by the lovely Joanne or Jade if you book a stay at the hotel.

Beautiful views. Friendly staff nothing is too much trouble for them. Well stocked mini bar, tea, coffee, biscuits etc. Indoor pool lovely temperature. Heavenly spa treatments — full body massage and Indian head massage. We stayed a week and it was definitely the relaxing break we needed. The only down side to Newquay it was a nightmare trying to find a restaurant to eat in the evenings.

Everything is great about this hotel. Staff was brilliant 5 stars for staff. Tidy & spacious room, beautiful outside view, good room service.

My daughter and I had afternoon tea at Silks Restaurant this afternoon. We were very impressed with the service and the food. We will definitely be back soon.

Went for Christmas Lunch, the food, service and most important the politeness of the staff 10/10 couldn’t have been better will most definitely go again.

Great location with every room having a sea view. A short walk will bring you dramatic sunsets. Truly recommended.

Hands down one of the best hotels in Cornwall.
So much to mention such as the beautiful decor, spacious rooms, friendly staff, fantastic bar/restaurant etc but the best part of the hotel by miles is the old fashioned snooker room. Its literally like stepping back in time into a 1950’s Vegas film… An absolute must visit room. I cant actually fault the place which is very unlike me.

Only a one-night stay, but the staff could not be more helpful. The friendly nature of the staff in the Champagne Bar was very pleasant.
The pool, spa, sauna and steam rooms were all enjoyable.
Our room had a sea view overlooking the bay and was large, extremely clean and well stocked with all the amenities we needed.

We went here for a meal, it was fantastic and the staff were amazing, highly recommend.

Breakfast choice the best I have seen in similar hotels, with freshly made eggs. Stuff for kids and gluten free options.

We had afternoon high tea and the service was excellent and very friendly.

We walked in today to ask if we could come in with our dogs to have a drink on the balcony. We were told yes that’s no problem. Lovely balcony area excellent service by Matt. He was very friendly to us and our dogs. Very helpful with the cocktail menu. He also brought a bowl of water for our dogs. We enjoyed cocktails and a cream tea. Nothing was too much trouble for Matt he was a brilliant member of staff can’t praise him enough. Would definitely go back.

Wouldn’t go back, management unhelpful bordering on rude, general staff ok, rooms nothing special for a top hotel, second time we have eaten there and food was appalling again. We’re going to start putting our work guests in this hotel but won’t now. Sorry.

All the staff throughout the hotel offer excellent customer service. My room was comfortable and clean and the hotel has it's own historical charm. Easy walk to several eateries.

I came to this hotel in hopes of having a terrific time. Unfortunately my holiday was ruined. My OCD was exploited when the front entrance was inconsistent and infuriating. I could no longer enjoy my stay from this point. I'm disappointed no, horrified that this malpractice could continue. Not only this, there is no air conditioning. NONE! This mistake has boiled me and my family in the scorching hot sun. That is when it isn't raining. I know they cant control the weather but it detracts from the experience.

Not the Headland but nice views from the bedrooms. Good if you want quick access to Newquay but further from Fistral beach. Staff are polite and accommodating but our room on the third floor was incredibly hot for some reason and even a fan in the room didn't help. Parking tight for larger cars.

I booked for 2 nights stay got moved to 2 different rooms. First room at 1st night was great, nice view, nice balcony, nice facilities, totally worth it for the price. The next day I got told to move to different room cause the first room was in fact a complimentary upgrade to a Superior room with Balcony WHICH decided upon themselves to put me there without let me know. Then give them the right to move me next day to an awful room, no sea view, no balcony, broken toilet, broken fridge, very hot, alarm went off from nowhere 7:30am in early morning. When I complained about it they said that s what I booked for and if I want to change have to charge extra for upgrade. AWFUL… AWFUL… experience ever with a 4 star hotel. Bad service. Bad facilities. Bad customer service.

Be aware there is no air conditioning. The rooms get quite warm and you can’t open the windows if you don’t want be eaten alive by mosquitoes! The walls are so thin you can practically hear people whisper in neighbouring rooms and if you have a baby next door, good luck sleeping! Also we booked a double room with an ocean view and were given one facing the city instead, with two single beds pushed together which is clearly false advertising and I will be following it up appropriately. The staff are incredibly nice and friendly and the restaurant’s food is quite decent hence the 3 stars :) They have a great location and also great staff and if they fix some of the problems and also stop double selling sold out rooms it will be a lovely place.

Lovely hotel with warm friendly staff. A bit pricey this time of year but proximity and beautiful view of the ocean to compensate. The restaurant serves up an excellent treat. I’ll surely recommend the lamb shoulder and possibly the deconstructed citrus cheesecake for dessert!

I don’t know where to start, We have loved this beautiful hotel for a while now and we knew that this would be the place we would want to get married. From the initial booking to the actual wedding day they have been incredible and I cannot thank you enough for what you have done for us. Sophie, Cath and all of the amazing staff were so lovely and did such a brilliant job. You made our day so perfect and it was truly the best day of our lives. From the beautiful ceremony to the amazing food and all of the beautiful touches throughout it was just perfect and you have made our dreams come true. Sophie you are amazing and I can’t thank you enough for what you did you made sure I was ok the day before and on the day you attended to every tiny detail. You are a credit and our day went absolutely perfectly. You made all of our dreams come true. We highly recommend the Atlantic Hotel absolutely brilliant thank you so so much xxxx.

Looking a little run down on the outside but nice inside. We stayed in a pool view room which was across the car park and in its own little block. Hot water took an age to arrive and Wi-Fi was impossible to pick up. Not a £200+ room so felt disappointed really. Food and drink on the pricey side which is to be expected with this type of place.

A very nice place to stay and relax, have been there twice this year and going again before the end of the year. Friendly Staff and can not do enough for you to enjoy your stay and great with children. Spending Valentine's Day down here. The bed had with roses all over and a free bottle of champagne with the excellent deal the hotel put together. Came back for our 10th wedding anniversary.

Lovely spot, great staff and some nice facilities. A shame that some of the finishing touches in the room were not taken care of, glass not cleaned from one day to the next, no shower gel, etc.

Visited for Mothers day lunch and had a great time. Food was delicious and good sized portions too. The staff were very professional and attentive. The atmosphere was great. Used the pool and facilities with the family and it was clean, comfortable and enjoyable. Would certainly recommend.

Lovely afternoon tea at the Atlantic Hotel, In beautiful surroundings. We rang ahead to ask if dogs were aloud, and was told that yes but only in certain areas. Which at such short notice was fine. Even providing a bowl of water for him, Chester.

What a fantastic hotel. We spent 3 nights over Christmas period here, and was extremely impressed with almost everything! The hotel is beautiful, with stunning decor throughout, exceptionally clean & well maintained everywhere.
The seaview room although very warm, (we left windows open), was spacious with very comfortable bed, though the waterproof mattress protector did make it very hot indeed. Every member of staff we met was friendly, polite and smiley, nothing was too much trouble, and there were lots of staff on duty over the whole period and they all appeared to be happy in their jobs, a brilliant team, definitely a credit to this establishment.
Food on the whole was wonderful, starting each day with a constantly topped up buffet style full English breakfast, including crispy fried bread, large flat full flavoured mushrooms plus the usual bacon, sausage, tomatoes, beans & choice of eggs; or continental with good choice of meats, cheese, pastries & rolls, as well as fresh fruit, yoghurt, cereals & toast & preserves.
We ordered sandwiches & snack type foods on room service from silks restaurant on what was possibly one of the busiest nights for them, and although was quite a long wait, the food was acceptable after an 8 hour journey!
Christmas Eve 5 course dinner was exceptional, seafood starter tasted devine, & roast lamb was melt in the mouth with vegetables that looked bright & tasted like they should.

We had the most enjoyable Christmas Break away, and this is the second time that we have stayed in this Fabulous Hotel. The staff cannot do enough for you. The meals were awesome and the decor the same.

While travelling on business I stayed at the Atlantic Hotel Newquay, I was a frequent guest previously. My partner and I ate a meal in Silks restaurant after which I became seriously ill with suspected shellfish food poisoning. I suffered with nausea and severe vomiting later in the evening. I consumed the prawn and scallops (special) starter and lamb shank main course. My partner consumed the crab cake starter and lamb shank main course. My partner was not ill. I did not expect to become so ill in a AA Rosette Award Winning restaurant. I paid my bill in full the following morning; I paid under protest as a manager was apparently not available. I informed the receptionist of exactly what had occurred upon my departure, and requested a manager to call me to discuss the issue. I politely requested a refund of the cost of my starter and main course from the total bill as a minimum good will gesture, for the inconvenience, embarrassment and loss of enjoyment of the evening. The manager never bothered to call. I emailed the hotel. The duty manager responded late the following day, informing me it was hotel policy that I consult a doctor to establish if my illness was caused by the food I consumed in Silks restaurant. I was hours from home travelling on business! I was offered a bottle of house wine or Prosecco as a gesture but only if I booked to visit the hotel again! I emailed the hotel manager again informing them of my displeasure.

Friendly staff, good deals and a commanding position overlooking Newquay. As we are staying just prior to Christmas the hotel is decorated beautifully. The rooms we were given have sea views and are well appointed with modern fixtures and fittings combined with high ceilings and bay windows. The bathrooms are warm, spacious and clean.

We chose the double superior room which was very generous in size and very comfortable. Fantastic views also from the top floor. Breakfast was very nice with a vast choice of items on offer. We utilised the pool and Jacuzzi and both were great facilities. All in all we thought it was good value and we'd certainly stop again.

The room itself was fine but that was as good as it got really the pictures are well over rated and we were very disappointed at breakfast getting there and there was no food on the servers except for caked to the tin scrambled eggs and uncooked tomatoes. Then when the food arrived half the grease went over my wife’s arm because the chef was flustered and threw the sausages into the tin with the fat going over her arm then when we asked for a refund because we didn’t eat anything the beverage manageress said that once we signed the slip whether you eat are not you pay the full £30 but thankfully the person at reception had some good hospitality skills and understood our frustration. I think it needs to move with the times a bit it is all a bit pompous and trying to be something it is definately not a bit of modernisation and some better trained staff it could be an amazing place.

Fresh, modern yet traditional. My daughter got married here in 2017 and everything was perfect. The staff could not have been more accommodating. The food was the best wedding meal I have ever had. A fantastic business run by a family of perfectionists.

I have recently booked a cream tea with added use of the swimming pool facilities for a recent family celebration. I cannot express how grateful I am to both Manchan (apologies for the spelling mistake! ) and Debbie for making it such a memorable occasion! I would highly recommend it. Many, many thanks! The stay at the Atlantic Hotel was great. Very clean and very comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I was very pleased with the service provided. The Guinness was very nice to. Newquay is great. Absolutely loved it. The local cafe and restaurants on fiskel beach deliver great food and hospitality. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Just wish it was nearby to Bournemouth. Where I'm from. Loved going swimming and body boarding at six o'clock in the morning. Sorted out a heavy night. Can't wait to go back. Shame that my wife and myself only had a weekend there. Thanks again for a great weekend away. Next time, longer than just a couple of days. Take care. Lee Weir.

Stayed st the Atlantic Hotel for a special occasion, the hotel itself is very stylishly decorated with a feel of elegance, with beautiful staircase as well as breakfast room which over-looks the sea.
We stayed in room 213, which has a sea view and balcony, which was very well decorated, my only negative point was the bath, as my husband and I are quite tall, we did find it difficult to stretch out in the bath, the bathroom did have a very good shower, but I do like a bath.
Overall my husband and I was very impressed with the hotel.
There is a in-door and out-door swimming pool, which I made use of the in-door pool and jacuzzi, which was very relaxing, as I had the pool to myself (perfect), the jacuzzi was lovely and warm.
All staff work hard to make your holiday run smoothly, and nothing is too much trouble, I have to give a special mention to Jane, whom we spoke to on several occasions, she is very bubbly and such a pleasure to talk to, and once again nothing was too much trouble.
We dined in Silks, and had a very nice meal.
If your looking for a very stylish hotel, for a special occasion, then I would recommend the Atlantic Hotel.

Fantastic hotel with sea views and marvelous service not just to us but my little pooch Milo. All his needs were met even to cooking his dinner I am so impressed. I can't wait to come back again. Thank you.

We went to the cafe as the pub wasn't open yet, only a small menu really but all done very well, and a wide range for the more important cream teas which were great.

Excellent 4star hotel Close to a 5star… Just misses out… they need a parking marshall… unless you are lots Lucian you will be driving your own car so when you arrive you expect a space reserved… not park in the pay n display in your 60k plus motor. The staff are 5star but having to run to the car park for 9am I world expect the staff to move my car from the pay and display… small gripe but I get valet parking from airport and most 4star hotel for business class customers. If you are using the other car not much of a worry.

The less than exciting exterior of hotel doesn't give any clues as to the lovely art deco interior. A very nice place to stay. All the rooms have sea views and the room we stayed in was roomy and tastefully furnished and clean. The bar is good and the restaurant was very nice, good food and service. All the staff we met were very friendly and helpful. The spa here is very good and it was quiet on our visit which was even better.

We stayed in a family sea view with balcony room. We have two young children who both have autism and we have to say the staff were very accommodating to their needs when arranging tables for breakfast and dinner. The staff were all very polite and well mannered. The hotel itself is exceptionally beautiful and luxurious. The beds are like jumping into clouds and rooms and all other areas are very clean. They have created a wonderful ambience throughout with lightly played classical music. We also went for an evening swim in their indoor pool which had sensory/mood changing lighting and the temperature of the pool area and pool itself were very warm. The pool isn't too deep also which is perfect for children and not so strong swimmers. We really enjoyed our stay here and wished we could have stayed longer. Thank you to all who made our stay a very happy one.

We went to Silks at The Atlantic for Easter Sunday lunch. Everything about the visit was excellent… The service, the staff, the food, the setting. We really couldn't fault the experience.

Hugely Disappointing. Went here as part of our honeymoon based on the AA 4 star rating and supposedly being the best in Newquay. It's a very grand building in a commanding position above the town with very friendly and efficient staff. It's clearly undergone some renovations in recent years which is a step in the right direction. Upon being shown our room, it was apparent that someone had been smoking in the bathroom. The staff immediately showed us a few other rooms (all of which were a bit musty) and we ended up in one of the suites on the top floor with a lovely view over the town and seascape. We opted to have dinner in the hotel as time was getting on. Unfortunately, the food was very obviously frozen stock and was at best average. When we returned to the room, we were hit by the musty smell so we had a look about and found mould and mildew around the windows along with peeling paint and damp patches on the walls and ceiling. The same problem was apparent in the newly refurbished bathroom. The following morning we were looking forward to the good-looking shower. My wife turned it on and waited for the hot to come through… About 5 minutes later, the pathetic dribble was warm. 20 minutes later she had only just finished washing her hair. I measured the flow rate of the shower and found it to be less than 2 litres/minute which is about 20% the rate of a reasonable domestic shower. I reported this to reception who sent a maintenance person up while we were out.

I went to the Restaurant and the manager lady didn't want to sit us down and she made up an excuse that people were waiting for the tables at the bar. I went back 15 min later only to discover that the tables were still empty. We were paying customers this is unacceptable behaviour so my rate is 0.

It is a beautiful hotel. We got married here 17 years ago and the place is everything you need.

This hotel has some of the best scenery in the UK to offer. The decor is second to none and the food and service were all of the standard you would hope to receive at a place like this. I have had the best weekend stay at a hotel I think I can ever remember and would like to thank all the staff for making this so.

Everything was exceptional, except for the indoor pool being too cold.

Myself and my husband stayed at this hotel for 2 nights last month and it was spectacular, the receptionist was very friendly, we opted for a sea view suite and we were given room B7 which was spacious and airy and had views of the sea through all windows, the bed was to die for and was the most comfortable bed I had slept In, the bathroom was very contemporary and we couldn't fault the room, the mini bar was very expensive though, Newquay town was a short stroll away, beware coming back up the big hill though! We went out in the day touring and came back in the evening to dine at Silks, we had Champagne and some of the best food we had ever eaten, the staff were friendly and the atmosphere good, the only downside to the hotel was that the wind whistled through the bedroom window which made it quite draughty and there was a hotel party and the music could be heard quite plainly which kept us awake until the early hours, the other night that we were there though was quiet and restful, can't wait to go back again.
