Love this place and I'm one of the local DJs there.

Came down to pick my Dad up for his last night as a resident of bodmin to be greeted with a warm welcome and an amazing atmosphere had a great night and are room was lovely. Dad will miss you all as much as you miss him we will look forward to bringing him back in the future xx.

Top gaff, good laughs had by all.

Only stayed the one night, which was a blessing. Loud music playing till after midnight, then when customers kicked out they gathered noisily outside. Place is really run down and needs a major clean and update. Staff were polite!

So warm and friendly. A must visit even if you ars not staying at the Inn. Very impressed by the people, their warmth and hospitality, as well as the area. Many amenities are within a short walking distance.

Absolutely fab place to go to. Great staff and great atmosphere. You are made to feel welcome. Cant wait to go back to bodmin for the weekend to go back to this place x.

Disgusting place to stay dirty noisy, typical Bodmin pub the utter pits.

Myself and my family had our mums wake here in September also a few family members stayed here so welcoming and very supportive to all the family. Beautiful wake and amazing service!

Good land lord good food and most of truly good fun and the beer is good a good night out and a good week end out see it for yourself have fun.

Really needs updating and was told there's a new owner so I hope he does sort it out and a new Womens dart team too.

Not a nice place. Filthy carpet, VERY LOUD! I do not recommend it!

Stopped in the large room which sleeps 7… Place was disgusting. Mould on walls, floor was filthy and would of been cleaner to sleep outside! something sharp on the floor and cut my foot! just outside door to room was bins packed with rubbish and even christmas trees! … had my 3 children with me and didn't feel safe. Loud and chavvy customers and very grotty pub… certainly wouldn't go back! I would ask for my money back but looks like you need it to hire a decent cleaner! judging by the amount of poor reviews you have had mainly about cleanliness surely you would of pulled your finger out your a&%e and cleaned the place up! you should be ashamed.!

Can only think the good reviews on here are fake — quite simply put its the worst place I have ever stayed. Do yourself a favour and do not stay here!

Good cost however don't pay for the breakfast. You wake up for it and the chef's not in nor is a manager. So maybe not advised.

Upon arrival warm & friendly welcome aranged time for breakfast that was only 10 min late but happy with that for do like few coffees & cigerate before I start my day & breakfast was such a joy to eat well cooked well presented room myself & my son were in clean & tidy heating were bit to high for us lol but in all we enjoyed are stay so well done Anton no you only been there short time but sure you put it bk to it's glory the pub & b&b it was in it day.

Rooms are clean comfortable and pretty basic. Pub can be bit noisy downstairs if you fancy an early night. Breakfasts usually are served from 8am so I dont usually bother having one. Prices are really good and guess you get what you pay for. Tea making facilities are in the room and bedroom is nice and warm in the winter.

More photos and write up to follow. Basic place. Worn n dirty bedroom but its a very old building under "new" management? Certain things can still be addressed tho. Needs met… a bed and private toilet. If refurbished, I would return. Staff brill as is location x.

Shocking place! everthing was dirty, and due to the noisey party saturday night which went on past 12 the staff didnt get up to sort 8am breakfast so had to leave without it. Wardrobe full of crap. Strange unit in bedroom which served no purpose. Tea and coffee basket not refilled, cups were dirty and cracked when we arrived. Nowhere to hang towels in the bathroom. No bedside lamps. No net curtains. Carpet hadnt been hoovered and was old and full of holes, crumbs on the bed along with a fag burn in the sheet. Hotel my arse! doss hole more like. Avoid like the plague.

Fortunately for the new management they have one very good member of staff called Sophie. The rooms are very shabby and in desperate need of refurbishment. Although I ate the breakfast it was probably the worst meal I have had in a hotel. On looking at it my friend cancelled hers. Burnt or over cooked. Good luck to the new management I hope you can turn the place around. I am sure Sophie will be a great asset to you.

Room was pretty small, loud music until midnight. Staff were friendly enough.

Lovely staff, new management, updates needed, some renovations needed, overall exeprience was okay, cheap easy place to stay.

Friendly pub. Budget price. My room was a small single but value for money and adequate for my needs. Comfortable bed. No complaints for the price. Did not stay for breakfast.

Very good welcome and room was clean but the whole place needs some work and updating loud music but turned off at 11pm.

New management and have several rooms upstairs at reasonable prices around £25. Nice bar staff always willing to help in any way. Entertainment live groups and darts pool.

Very nice public house, extremely polite and friendly staff, n there's nothing nicer than a drop of Old Rosie on tap too!

Fialure from arrival. Staff unaware of how to fully read bookings. For a two night stay, we paid extra for breakfasts. Only to hear "no room only". Alarm bell instantly go off to that, had to ring Booking. Com to get them to call & confirm (not amused). Shown to room & handed keys to …. Had a freshen up and decided to, take a spell out. Going down the metal steps outside, get to the bottom one to find it is so thin & has two great rust holes in it, it is also that weak & flimsy it could give at any time (health & safety risk there). After a short time out, we returned to the room where, then it sank in. The smell was like a fausty charity shop smell, damp & musty. Then when in the room, I think of taking a lie down to relax a minute. Where we then find the Stains on both the duvet cover & sheet (really not impressed by that) Then taking a look around find a few more faults (see photos attached). My overall view of this place is that we will certainly never return, it's the kind of place you could associate with backpacker style holidays.

The room… radiator hanging off wall and not on a lot so room is cold. Shower doors hanging off and will not close. Towel rail bar missing and broken, sheets dirty, duvet cover dirty, floor not hoovered, windows will not lock, no wardrobe just an alcove in the wall with hangers in. Bed thin & uncomfortable BREAKFAST… asked for no tomato on breakfast but got tomato on plate, The staff does not look like chefs but in normal pub going clothes coats they cook breakfast, yuk. Unfortuneately the rooms look like its a place for either back packers or if your drunk and cannot get home then you can doss there the night. The good point (only one really) the dining room was set out ok & the cereal tea table was ok. The only thing I could tell others is BOOK ELSEWHERE. Cleaner and fresher.

Not my local, but was made to feel very welcome by both staff and locals alike. We enjoyed an evening listening to Sophie Da Mey. A great singer that gets everybody up dancing singing a wide variety of music from Adel to Tina Turner. From modern music back to the 70s & 80s.
We will be going again on fireworks night on the
5th November to see Sophie da Mey si geulis again.

The staff were very friendly and cooked a great breakfast. However the beds and linen were desperately in need of replacement. Car parking places are very limited. The steps in and out of the inn to access the rooms are not suitable for those with any mobility difficulties.
