Lovely clean rooms stayed with our grandson even with the sofa bed made up room was still big and car park right next door ideal place to stay.

The Holiday Inn Express in Bristol Temple Mead's is lovely all of the employees are very sweet. Fasheem on breakfast, is an absolute pleasure. I'm very impressed! Thank you for making our stay so wonderful.

Second stay in this hotel with great location downtown near the bus station. Level down the breakfast and unforgivable to have 3 dead lifts on 4 for 3 days in a hotel of this size. Clean rooms and staff always courteous.

Great location in the middle of the city. Large room, with television 40 inches. Taken next to the bed, there are already cables to charge any device. Beautiful bathroom with shower and very comfortable. Soft bed with double pillow. The breakfast was perfect, they have both typical English and croissant and cappuccino. They also have a desk where they make crepes, omelets and pancakes on time. I recommend it to anyone who wants to visit Bristol.

Always excellent service. Great coffee. Beautiful rooms. Always made to feel like a welcome guest. Good value. I would prefer fresh coffee in the bedrooms, and more herbal teas.

Just had a meal and for the money it was wonderful. Had the mushroom pot with potatoes and vegetable. Lovely atmosphere, attentive staff. Lovely guy near the car park entrance desk. Really helped me out.

Very friendly, helpful staff. No problems with little extras like more milk for the tea soaks and making up the sofa bed for Junior (fastest duvet cover fit in the southwest. Dedicated but not exclusive parking area on second floor of NCP with stair or lift access to ground floor concierge and security desk, they validate cheaper rate parking which also allows multiple entry/exit, apparently. Restaurant/bar was good both for dinner and buffet breakfast (with omelette/pancake station), service generally acceptable but better at dinner. Room well equipped and almost completely working (bar shaving mirror light) with good a/c, lighting and Freeview TV with DVD. Location is great. Right across from big shopping centre with plenty of restaurants around (several in Cabot Gate mall) ) and easy walk to water front (food outlets galore), bars, ferry to SS Great Britain, etc. Worth a try.

Decent lunch, sandwiches, chips and wraps so standard fare but of a good enough quality, desserts were good as well. Rooms for the meeting were also fine, good size with teleconference facilities and a projector for slides. Seemed like a good location as well, I got a taxi from temple meads for about 5 or 6 pounds, though it could've been walked easily as well.

Not the best, the reservation was hard.

Average stay. Really disappointed that I was not warned that there was no free parking (£17.50/night). Double room plus sofa bed was enough for couple plus two kids. I think it just needs proper diligent management to make it a better hotel.

A clean and comfortable hotel in a good location. A nice choice of hot and cold food for breakfast. The heating in the room wasn't working well so it was quite cold with sub zero temperatures outside.

Very clean, staff was accommodating and the location was amazing. Close to major shopping and transit, and a short walk away from seeing Banksy murals and the hop-on hop-off. An incredible place to stay when visiting Bristol and the rooms are so spacious compared to other hotels. The beds are comfortable, the bathroom clean and has all the amenities you could need!

Lovely hotel in a brilliant position for the shops. Room was clean and spacious. Staff were polite helpful and extremely friendly. Food was excellent. Only negative was the cost of the car park.

Nice room. Clean and everything you'd hope for without unnecessary frills. Great walk-in shower. Easy free Wi-Fi. The car park was expensive (£15) and had very tight spaces.

Standard double room on the third floor. Clean, warm and very comfortable. Excellent Wi-Fi throughout. Good facilities. Very helpful staff and concierge. Discounted parking next door.

I can only say good things about this hotel, the spotless room, the hotel staff very friendly. The hotel is very well located.

The rooms are spacious and the bed is comfortable. The breakfast is always good as well. Mini gym is a little exposed for my liking but well stocked for what it is. Car park is decent as well with cost being £15 overnight with no real time frame that I can discern. I tend to arrive around 6pm and leave after 9am. Worth it especially if you are an IHG member.

Visited in 2013 — Pleasantly surprised and room was spacious and comfortable. Only stayed one night as part of a Tour of England. Location is quite good close to shopping and restaurants. Shower was decent with good pressure, though I scolded myself before I figured out how to get a decent temperature for my shower. Wifi worked well in all areas.

Very clean and comfortable rooms.

I was at the Academy attending a professional event. The seminar room was comfortable and well noise insulated. Plentiful good quality hot drinks and snacks were provided for attendees. Hot food at lunchtime was tasty with a meat, fish and veggie option. All members of staff I interacted with were helpful and professional, especially in the restaurant. Highly recommended.

It's worst. I booked in the evening and what I hear at night we don't have any room for you…

Crashed at the Holiday Inn for an overnight stay. Great location and with a car park right next to it. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. My double room clean and very comfortable, really nice compared to a few other hotels I've stayed at. Bar was too expensive but breakfast in the morning was really good quality. Would stay here again ☺️

Did an exam there. Food and drinks before where very nice. It was poor that there was another function down the corridor from our exam room, causing a lot of noise when attendees were walking past!

The overall stay was good. Clean rooms and great staff which really tries to make the stay as good as possible but also nothing special in general.

Absolutely the finest hotel in Bristol. I've given it five stars for the excellent service, gorgeous rooms with spotless amenities and the convenience of both location and facilities. A big thank you to Craig and staff. Holiday Inn, you out did yourself this time!

Best holiday inn I have stayed at. Very clean and presentable and the staff are extremely professional and courteous. Only negatives are there was no drawers in my room for unpacking clothes into and it is a wee bit noisy being located next to the Bear Pit roundabout.

Clean ample sized rooms. Nice updated bathrooms. Nice view from the window. Helpful staff. The only bad part was the shower temperature control. It was obviously broken because the settings would easily allow scolding hot water to come out, even when turned to the cold side. Obviously it didn't have an anything scolding device either. There wasn't really much of rhyme or reason to it either. Took 20 to figure out that you need to turn the dial from the hot side, through the cold setting, and back into the hot side to get the temperature to a tolerable level. I normally wouldn't take two stars of for something like this, but it extremely easy to seriously burn your self. My boss in a different room had the same hot water issue too. I would love to rate higher.

Went for a seminar. Venue was good. Free tea and coffee. Pastries provided in the morning, sandwiches for lunch were average. Pens and pads provided. Stylish inside. Car park ticket was validated by reception, which is very good as the cost of parking is extortionate!

Staff very friendly and helpful, room (stayed in the suite) was lovely and clean, as was hotel, massive choice for breakfast, loved it so much we wished we could stay another night so definitely going to stay again so relaxing it made my daughters birthday would be amazing if it had a spa.

Great service. Good central location with NCP car park right next to hotel. Excellent food, especially the dark chocolate mint cheesecake. Will be staying there again.

Nice hotel, quite upmarket which isn't the image I have of Holiday Inn. Rooms are a good size, bed is very comfy and shower is a monsoon one which is always nice. I have stayed here lots of times and also eaten in the restaurant. The most recent time wasn't a great experience with food though. I had the Ribs and Chicken. I was expecting meat to fall off the bone ribs, but they were tough. A real effort to eat. I complained to the waitress and she mentioned it to the chef and also took 50% off of my food bill which was great. The food here is normally amazing though and it won't put me off staying here again. Breakfast is also good here. A range of stuff on offer. I have a full English usually and they have everything you could want for it. They also have cereals, fruit, omelettes made to measure and pancakes if you wish. I'd recommend the hotel to anyone staying in Bristol.

NB a another company paid for our stay. Stayed for one night. Big room, nice view, nice bathroom, clean and quiet. Not 5 stars as the windows were sealed, and air conditioning loud, so I either had to cook at night or not sleep due to the air con noise.

A decent hotel in a great location. The room was great and more than what I expected for the price. The only thing stopping me from giving 5 stars is that we were greeted by very miserable staff. I'm fussy when it comes to customer service, but on the other hand I think everything about the experience should be great if it's to warrant 5 stars. Luckily, there was one guy in particular who was very friendly and helpful, and was very accommodating when we opted to get takeout delivered to the hotel. If you're looking for a good stay in central Bristol, definitely consider the Holiday Inn.

Paid for the celebration package for my wifes birthday which on the website says 'on your arrival you will be welcomed with champagne chocolates and a specially prepared fruit bowl in your room' when I arrived we got up to the room to find nothing there. After speaking to reception who were very helpful, sorted it out. The chocolates were two small stale kit kats! the specially prepared fruit bowl was 2 bannana's 2 apples an orange and some strawberries! nothing really special there. The bath has sand paper strips on the bottom, I expect for none slip but not very comfortable.

New hotel, very clean and beautiful. The staff are friendly, helpful and punctual to all requests. Service at the highest level. Cool restaurant chef, could surprise. Also the location of the hotel, in the heart of the city.

Nicely refurbished hotel. Great value.
