We enjoyed our stay here. The room was nicely furnished, warm, had a big comfy bed and a great shower, and the breakfast was pretty good (despite a rogue chip lurking in the beans). There was, disappointingly, a lot of on-site business related noise very early in the morning, which disturbed our sleep both nights of our stay. Also, the sliding door on our room didn't lock. Otherwise very enjoyable!

Great place in the heart of Chester located just right on the riverside. Food is reasonably priced and served by very friendly and helpful staff, with all the usual pub favorites like fish and chips to the cheese and onion pie (A personal favorite). Parking and access can be a little challenging, best to park in the centre of Chester and walk down by the river to the restaurant…

Not very good IMO, lacking in all ways other than location. We stayed 3 nights, eat there the first night and wasn't impressed so found elsewhere the others. Did have breakfast which was incl in the room rate, good but a long wait, don't be in a hurry. Bedding wasn't changed though our stay, maybe im being picky but I'd of thought it would of been after two nights.

Amazing hotel, super friendly staff and amazing food. Coming back later in the year when we visit chester again!

Nice room, cracking full english breakfast, staff very helpful, great area as only 10 min walk from centre and nice to be next to river as well. Only fault was a noisy tap.

Lovely place to stay. BIG breakfasts in the morning, clean and very smart rooms. Staff r very helpful. Beautiful setting literally in the river. Highly recommended A.

Four stars because of location and service. I went with my parents and son (11 months) and it was relatively family friendly. Food came promptly and staff were helpful. Lovely views onto the river and reasonably priced drinks. Food portions are large and whilst well presented the food we had could have been better drained of oil as the fish and onion rings were very oily (see photos). All in all I would go back.

The rooms are lovely. Unfortunately, they open directly into the car park. After a bad experience of someone trying to get into my room for at least half an hour, the management didn't respond and move him on as they say it would have been dangerous for the staff to tackle him. This happened at 5:30 in the morning so I didn't sleep again after that. Safety is a big issue and I was disappointed that they had no understanding how frightening the experience was for a woman alone.

Lovely small 21 room hotel, great location right on the river. Own carpark at £10, good bar and good food. Nice place.

Lovely place, right on the river (goes without saying really), really nice rooms, great service. Food and drink prices are good. Only thing that wasn't great was that in the corridor to the rooms, and (less so) in the room, there was a smell of damp.

Nice pub in a great location, as far as craft beer goes a few nice offerings however one point I'd make is that where you have quality craft bottles of Belgian beer have the proper accompanying glass not offer a hot random glass fresh from the wash.

Pretty competent food and a nice enough pub. Cool beer garden.

Room and location are excellent for the price. Food was not great but then we only had a couple of the starters and therefore cannot pass full judgement. Staff are really nice and helpful which is always a plus. Overall a great place to stay and would recommend this place.

I had my first date here with my husband 17 years ago, my goodness it's changed since then! The outside deck over the river is stunning, only had a drink on this occasion but will be popping in again very soon for lunch.

Lovely rooms by the river. But too noisy as it over looks the car park. Food service was fast, but staff were not very helpful and the food was a little bland.

Loved my over night stay here I got it as a gift for my fiancé for Christmas and weren't disappointed at all. Great price great location and lovely breakfast in the morning. Staff (manager) was very friendly and couldn't help more. Will definitely be coming back again for a stay and will be eating at there pub on site. I never had tea/dinner here as the reviews put me off but couldn't fault the breakfast and the atmosphere of the night was always busy wish I tried it now.
