I worked at a Wedding here on New Year's Eve and I can honestly say that the team were amazing, very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Hope to be back there again soon x.

I was there to provide a corporate circus workshop but it was a lovely space and the hotel staff were really friendly and helpful, plus the lady who was looking after our clients was fabulous! Nice work double tree! 🙏🧡

I had a booking at this hotel and when I arrived I was told that they had overbooked the rooms and I would have to go elsewhere. This was late at night and had I wanted to stay elsewhere then I would have booked another hotel. Not only was this highly inconvenient in a part of the country I didn't know very well but I have also still been charged for the room that I didn't stay in even though the hotel staff at the time told me it was only a pre authorisation. I would like a refund at the earliest opportunity. Very disappointed. I would have appreciated a phone call to say that there was no free rooms left or some assistance in booking another hotel. If you're going to oversell rooms, there should be a policy in place to find accommodation for your guests elsewhere, especially late at night.

My husband and I celebrated our 12th wedding anniversary and it was perfect from start to finish. Amazing massage and spa experience. Food was lovely and the bed was clean and comfy. Highly recommended.

The food at the Garden Room restaurant is excellent — I can only speak to the calamari and the fish and chips but both were spot on. Full marks to the chef! 👍

Not long checked in and the room is huge unfortunately no kettle in the room. The spa facilities are exceptional. My wife and I are feeling really refreshed.

The hotel room was spotless, really lovely room. We went to the bar and The bar guy paid for our round of drinks as it was my birthday! Absolute legend! Breakfast was great, would have been perfect if they catered for vegetarians (veggie sausages etc). Overall awesome place would highly recommend.

My wonderful Mum had her birthday in October and after years of discussing spa breaks, I booked a spa break here. We think you are all wonderful. There was nothing too much trouble for any of the staff, everything was provided at incredible speed. Our food was wonderful. The staff were incredibly attentive. Our room was available before previously stated. The spa and staff exceeded expectations. To the point of leaving when we requested a taxi, and a taxi was provided asap with no problems. May many people have as wonderful as an experience as we did!

Such a beautiful hotel as well as venue for events. I had my wedding here nearly two years ago and the staff, food and organisation was perfect. I cannot wait to be able to stay here again.

Considering what's going on to try to keep pandemic at bay this is a first class hotel with fantastic staff doing everything possible to keep guests having the best service they can, as safely as possible.

The bar staff were great. Poor lad was having a mare of a time with the barrels after about 20 mins he sorted it and kindly made our standard sambuccas I to doubles. Winner winner. Xx.

A friend booked afternoon tea for 8 of us as a pre Wedding surprise for the 'more mature' Bride to be. We are all past the 'wild night out' experience. It was perfect. They gave us a cosy private area with a beautiful view over the fountain garden. Staff were very friendly, helpful and attentive too. I would recommend this to anyone seeking a similar small Celebration.

We arrived in Chester expecting a watered down Hilton. To say that we were pleasantly surprised would be an understatement. Very modern, but beautifully spacious, the double tree Hilton is set in wonderful parkland style grounds. Receptionist was very helpful and knowledgeable. She was able to answer all our queries fully. Use off the gym comes as part of the hotel package but you pay for the use of the water area. Unless you get it as part of your package. I can recommend the spa if you wish to swim, steam, sauna and relax. There are two restaurants. Marco Pierre White and the hotels own. We only used the hotels own as booking is recommend for Marco Pierre White. I will definitely return next visit to Chester.

Really a 3.5 out of 5. There was a few issues: Broken phone No tissues Room not ready at check in Someone walked in our room. But! The pool n spa is divine, and the major saving grace is the staff: they are lovely. Special shout out to Meg in the spa, Steve in the garden restaurant, and (I think) Nina or Emily who was in training on reception. Lovely people; friendly and professional. The food at the Garden restaurant was very yummy too.

An amazing experience, I came up to the Hilton and found it full of luxury, amazing staff that was very helpful, made my stay a personal experience… Breakfast was good full of choices and lovely coffee. I stayed 3 days and found it to be a fantastic welcoming place, a slice of heaven.

Just returned from a 1 night stay here. We had a deluxe room which was fab, greeted with warm cookies… Yum! I don't know the barman 's name (tall and blonde) but he was fab and made me an espresso martini even though it wasn't on the menu and made a special trip to get me a beautiful glass for it too. The food was DELICIOUS! Our waitress was wearing an "in training" badge and she was fab… Katherine thank you for looking after us. The bed was so so comfortable and we slept soundly without any disturbance. Breakfast was incredibly tasty. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel, hope we'll be back soon.

I thought I would review before leaving. We have stayed for 2 nights and definitely will not be returning. Our meal at MPW last night was terrible but I have already left a review. Tonight we returned from a day out and just decided to pop into the restaurant for a drink and a starter from the menu. We hadn’t booked as we weren’t going to be back until much later but the weather forced us to return early. We queued in the restaurant. The couple in the queue before us hadn’t booked either but the Maitre D took them to a table. He then came to us and I said we just wanted a drink and a starter from the menu and he told us he couldn’t accommodate us as there isn’t enough food! Have you ever heard anything like it. Anyway we said we would use room service assuming there was enough food for that and judging by the amount of dirty trays outside rooms this morning there obviously is enough food! We returned to the room checked the room service menu and what we wanted was not on the menu. I called down to reception, explained what had happened and the lady on reception told me this was correct. If we hadn’t booked they wouldn’t be able to accommodate us in the restaurant. I told her that wasn’t the case because the couple in front of us hadn’t booked either and I told her I thought it was a case of the Maitre D picking and choosing who he wanted in his restaurant. The receptionist didn’t agree and told me there was a large party of 40 coming in at 8. We went at 7.

Wow! Where to start. The Double Tree was always somewhere we loved to go for a spa break or food, but we never thought about getting married! We came across a special offer on Facebook and decided to enquire. From then we were blown away by the efficiency and enthusiasm of staff. Everybody was so helpful and professional. We did have some trouble with guests booking rooms but other than that it was all super amazing.
We had Nicola as our wedding coordinator and Tom and his team as our Toast Master. Nicola was brilliant and always answered emails efficiently with answers. Nicola even went to the trouble of seeing us on our special day too.
Tom! Wow! This guy literally blew us away! He was so calm, professional, funny, helpful and juts an all-round superstar! The whole team were just incredible and made our day so super special. We can’t thank the team enough and would highly recommend them.
The food was juts out of this world and our chef (Adam) was super friendly and took on all our comments and boy did he deliver on the day. Everyone is still talking about the food that day 3 months later!
If you are thinking about getting married here, then my advice would be think no more! Do it! The team really will go above and beyond to help you and make sure your day is one to remember!

What a lovely friendly place from start to finish. My wife and I stayed over on Saturday after having full access to all the spa and treatments. Such a friendly greeting at check in and the spa, and throughout our stay the staff were great and more than helpful. We were also greeted by a personal message written on a plate in chocolate and complimentary assorted cakes and treats for my wife's birthday. After a facial, and back shoulder neck massage, plus a foot massage for the wife, we had a lovely 3 course meal in the Marco Pier White restaurant. The fillet steak was amazing. Such a nice room to stay in and very comfortable. Finished off our stay with the continental breakfast buffet, absolutely packed with full English, cereals, and fresh baked pastries. We both loved every bit of our stay and would like to thank the staff again, we can't wait to come back.

Lovely day and had a really lovely meal staff were experienced and well mannered. Was here for a parent/carer event as it was just what I needed and was lovely to catch up with some old friends too. Would love another day out here. X.

As a family we celebrated ours sons birthday. He has always admired Marco Pierre White and wanted to eat in one of his restaurants. We weren’t disappointed one bit, service faultless and staff very attentive, food was excellent, and again faultless. And to top the night our son is also a chef and asked if it were possiable to have the menus as a keep sake, and he was give all three so it made his night. So it was a wonderful birthday to remember.

Nice hotel, shame there's no staff! on arrival there were 2 weddings at venue, all staff seemed to be working there. Only 2 staff at bar, no glasses to serve with as they were all out in the garden uncollected for over 4 hours! Waited 2 hours for our meal which is totally unacceptable and the food was bland and tasteless. Lots of people complained. You expect more for your money. Day2 was the wedding we attended, can't fault that and food was spectacular. However again bit enough bar staff, queue to reception, a considerable distance. The morning after we had to go to the conservatory for breakfast. It was disgusting. Everything was stone cold. I selected bacon, sausage, fried egg. Well the egg was nice and runny but it was as cold as if it had just come out the fridge! Made me feel so sick! I will never stay at a hilton again. My advice, go to premier Inn, you get a mich better service and good hot food always.

Don’t be fooled by the nice pictures and decent reviews. Many of those reviews discuss only the restaurant or tea. Easily the worst Hilton property this HHonors member has stayed at globally. Some of the most inept customer service I’ve ever experienced anywhere in the world. I’ve been here 2 days and complained 5 times that my room will not heat. Each time they claim to send someone to fix it or adjust something centrally. Nothing has worked and I get no feedback from them. They did switch my room the first time, but I’m into my work week now and it’s a big PIA to pack and move again. I also have to walk down to the front desk because for 2 days no one answers when I call the “care” center, dial 0, or even call room service. I was warned by a local about the customer service here and I should have listened to her, but I’m stuck here with a business group. I’ll gladly trade all the spas and pools for a warm room.

Had afternoon tea here with a friend on Sunday. It was ok, but not the best I've ever had. I had called in advance and asked for no butter, no mayo and no eggs on my sandwiches and as I was shown to the table the waiter repeated this back to me, however when the sandwiches arrived they had butter eggs and mayo, they happily changed this for me it was just a little awkward to have to ask for it. The cakes were lovely and the staff were friendly enough but it felt a little impersonal there. It was nice enough and by no means would I ever say to not visit here, the grounds are beautiful and I have stayed the night before and found it lovely, it was just this one occasion was slightly less than perfect but still good!

When you book a hotel and spa you expect to be able to use the had tel and spa. I stay in Double Tree hotels and have never had to pay extra to use the pool or gym. Room noting special not was breakfast. I have stayed in better rooms with better good in Double trees which are half the price or less. : — (

The rooms were pretty nice. Comfy and clean. The hotel is about 10 mins from the centre so about £5 in a non black cab and £10 or so in a black cab. The spa look decent but didn't use. Staff were friendly.

We stayed here for one night on Friday 16th March. I reviewed our experience in the Green Room restaurant for that evening and felt it only fair to let you have our review for breakfast on Saturday. What a complete contrast to the evening before! We were seated quickly, our finished plates were taken away within 30 seconds! There were plenty of staff members, they all knew what they needed to do and were very friendly and efficient — a much better experience and what has become expected from a Hilton hotel. We were in Room 74 — thank you. Beverley Clark.

Overnight stay with Spa treatment, dinner at Marco Pierre White and breakfast. Check in easy and friendly, lovely room, spa was amazing, dinner delicious and breakfast plentiful. Very clean and despite being very busy everything ran smoothly. Would have given 5 stars but room was so hot I couldn't sleep even after adjusting air con, and newspaper ordered at check in didnt arrive. Would recommend this package, the spa and restaurant. Will be back for spa treatments and dinner.

The hotel is very nice as you would expect a Hilton to be. However the rooms are only average. That is unless you stay in the newer side. We didn't eat at the restaurant and only ate breakfast there which was just above average for a hotel breakfast. So overall not bad but could be better.

We got married here on Saturday and the staff were faultless from start to finish. We’d been liaising with Jemma since we booked the venue and she was friendly, professional and helpful from day one. I met Georgina and Thomas on the day and they couldn’t do enough to help the day go without a glitch and the team in the Abbey Suite for the breakfast and evening were brilliant as well. Connor the concierge was equally brilliant and helpful. Shan made sure we were well fed and watered throughout the weekend and looked after the whole party as well. The guys who had to clear up the evening do to prep the room for the following days event did so with a smile and deserved an extra day off for working tirelessly throughout the day. Basically everyone of the staff members we met were brilliant — thank you all. We will definitely be coming back to celebrate our anniversary at our special place — and as many times in between as we possibly can.

Overall I had a very pleasant stay. The spa facilities were excellent and the room was clean and comfortable. My only complaint was that the brioche bun on the burger I was served from the Marco Pierre White restaurant was overcooked and tasted burnt. Apart from that, the food was lovely and me and the other guest I stayed with had a wonderful time.

We stayed for a Spa break in January 2017 and had a lovely time. We are trying to go the same again this year but it is impossible to contact the hotel directly. We have a room reservation but also have a voucher for the Spa. To contact anyone to book this is proving very difficult. Been trying for 3 weeks now on and off. The phone either tings out or I am told by reception that the spa will email me. This never happens. Now I can't even get an answer from the reception desk.

I purchased the couples overnight stay offer for me and my husband. We arrived a little earlier and our room was ready so we went straight up. Bit disappointed that we had no fridge in the room but it was still lovely. The spa is so nice and relaxing. We booked a massage each too which was really nice, just wish we booked another one as the one included with the offer wasn’t long enough for me. The MP restaurant was probably one of the nicest places we have dined the the cocktails are just amazing
There is so many choices for the breakfast so you can’t go wrong.
All in all we had a perfect stay together and will definitely be returning in the future.

I attended the DoubleTree for a spa evening with three other friends. I have been on a number of occasions previously for both the spa & overnight stays. I thoroughly enjoyed my evening as I have done in the past and will not hesitate to book again. The only comment I will make is that one of the girls from my group was slightly unhappy with her treatment (back, shoulder & kneck massage). It was a new experience for her with her only being 16 but she felt really uncomfortable as it was a male providing the treatment and it only lasted 10-15 minutes rather than the 25 minutes stated when we booked. Based on this I think it would be a good idea to provide details of the therapist to customers before treatments?

Location close to town, about 10 min car drive, beautiful hotel, the superior room got anything I need. Really enjoy the spa and the breakfast. Staff was friendly and helpful. I had few issues with the room service, called 5 times with no replies, they also can't provide me the digital key due to an internal error of the computer. Overall was a good experience.

I had my first anniversary here and it was honestly the best time of my life. The receptionist and my husband worked together to surprise me. I had no idea I was going to spend the night and the lady came over to me and husband and gave me the most delicious cookie Ive ever tasted, and handed me over a room key which totally surprised me! I was so excited and as I went up to our room, I had found a gorgeous little cake saying happy anniversary. I also found presents my husband had bought me on the table. Then he also surprised me with some a spa and massage session which I can say is the best spa ever. This year; I spent my 2nd year anniversary with my little baby as an addition; and this time not only was it amazing but they had made sure that it was adapted to our baby also; they made sure there was a crib for him and for our spa session, they booked us in for kid's session and my baby loved it so much. Thank you so much hilton for always making our anniversary special and I will always recommend you guys to every body.

The grounds and restaurant were lovely, really nice location, however the afternoon was quite possibly the worst I have ever had. Sandwiches were ok, nothing to report either way. The scone was nice and warm (hence the 2 stars) but the rest of the cakes you needed a magnifying glass to see and you only got one of each. There certainly wasn't enough to share them. The quality of the cakes was substandard as well as tiny, all in all very disappointing especially as the Hilton on Park Lane and the Double Tree Hilton in Manchester do such lovely afternoon teas! We won't be back : (

My favourite spa! Been here on quite a few occasions… Staff are friendly and always welcoming, I always leave feeling refreshed and happy. Rooms are lovely! They also do an amazing breakfast! One of the best I've had. Modern, great facilities and very clean, most definitely will visit again.

I really enjoy staying at this Hilton. It`s minutes away from Chester Zoo. My daughter 9 loves visiting the spa and using the outside Jacuzzi. The pool is fun. The food in the restaurant is excellent. My room had an Ethernet connection and the parking is also more than adequate. Join Hilton honors if you are a regular as the benefits are also good.

Friendly staff, price/performance okay, spa area quite small and quickly felt "crowded" on weekends. We had expected more luxury according to the hotel description.

It's a nice venue and the food provided was lovely, but there were some light issues due to a lack of blinds in the conference room. The staff were very helpful though and did their best to fix it (sadly to no avail) and were generally very accommodating.

We went to Hilton Chester for our anniversary and enjoyed every minute. Fantastic spa and pool, and very nice restaurant. The rooms had great amenities too.

The doubletree by hilton is a fantastic place the hotel rooms are spacious and luxurious. The staff are very friendly and the spa incredible. Mpw restaurant is not to be missed, fantastic food at a reasonable price!

We didn't actually stay in the hotel, we only used the spa facilities for the day. The spa was extremely clean and very nice looking. I have to say it does look bigger than it actually is but there is still plenty to do. We also had treatments done which were amazing. My only main criticisms are when I arrived in the changing rooms, it wasn't obvious there were a few separate changing cubicles. I would have preferred to use them, however didn't notice they were there until I left. We were also told we would receive a glass of champagne when we arrived as part of our package however we never received this. Having said that though it was a lovely place and wouldn't hesitate to go back.

Nice and clean rooms, nice staff. Only issue is corridor noise is very loud and can be heard in the room (mainly doors closing and footsteps)

This was a family weekend get together. The hotel was really good. Didn't use the spa facilities as we were with elderly parents. But used restaurant for breakfast and evening meal. Food and drinks selections were good if not a little pricey. Location for visiting Chester was good with a bus stop outside the entrance with a regular service into Chester. Be prepared however for crossing a busy dual carriageway for the return journey. Also don't get caught out with the ticketing policy as two bus operators work the route and tickets aren't interchangeable.

Good hotel with lots of modern facilities. Complimentary bottle of wine and cookie upon arrival. Room spacious with comfy bed. Hotel restaurant serves up a nice meal too.

Good location not to far from Chester city centre. Our king room was lovely and clean. Plenty of space. Nice polite staff. The spa is amazing and defiantly worth the money! The mud rasul treatment is one of a kind! Will be visiting again soon!

Had a one night stay on dinner, bed and breakfast package in a guestroom plus. We also used the spa and had a treatment each. The spa and pool were amazing with friendly staff and wonderful pools. Food in the restaurant was very nice. The rooms was recently refurbished and very comfortable. We paid for a late check out and stayed for afternoon tea. We had no problems or complaints at all and will definitely be returning.

Okay. A bit pricey for what it has to offer. The area of Hoole Village is just a modern development, not a stand alone village.

Well my friend and I have actually not been yet. But it has taken three days to actually make a booking so not a good start. We are now trying unsuccessfully to book some treatments in the spa. If this is an example of their customer service I am feeling a bit apprehensive about my stay.

My girlfriend and I descended upon the Doubletree by Hilton for valentines day which was a great place to stay and will definitely be returning. The spa and pool amenities and room facilities are ideal for somewhere to kickback. Also a relatively short drive to both Cheshire Oaks Outlet and Chester City Centre which are great for those looking for things to do nearby.

An absolute clean, tidy, polite run hotel, staff very good well mannered.

The hotel is lovely. My husband and I really enjoyed our small holiday here. We weren't able to check in early, but the staff was still very polite and helpful. Our stay was quite expensive, but it was worth it. We received efficient service and the rooms were comfortable and clean.

Chester is a moderately expensive little town, given the surrounding area, but this hotel delivers. We booked a suite because of our children, and got a very spacious room with a bed at each end and a TV in a unique swivel mounting in the middle. Very good bed fabrics and room comfort. Breakfast was great, lots of choice. We were a little apprehensive about dinner in the hotel with a 1 year old but it worked out fine, the staff were helpful and the kids menu went down well. You're a way out of Chester town centre (near the M53) but it's only a short hop to the aquarium and outlet mall around Ellesmere Port. Didn't try the Marco Pierre White steakhouse. Kids loved the cookies that we got at check-in. Nice grounds.

The staff throughout the hotel seem to really care that their clients have the best possible experience. The rooms are clean and very comfortable. In the restaurant coffee comes with the most delicious lemon turkish delight, served with a friendly smile.
