Not the usual standard I am afraid. Great breakfast, friendly staff but as we stayed in a room overlooking the reception area and there was a function on there was late drinking and talking till @ 4.30 am and our window wouldn't close properly I had a rough night. The seal on the shower screen was missing so after my shower I spent the next 10 mins drying the floor. Air con was a plus. Sorry.

This is such a great hotel with so much to offer guests. The staff are so friendly and the food is delicious. Even the General manager goes out of his way to take interest in you and your family. They offered recommendations for things to do and nothing was any trouble what's so ever. I will definitely stay here again and they are a credit to the IHG group.

Having attended several functions at Holiday Inn, I can say they've always been decent affairs, with good food and good service. This was my first function in a smaller room (around 50 guests) but the standard was as good as always and a great night was had by all.

This was my second stay here. I love the location because its right next to the park and so there are lots of lovely trails along the river and lakes. The staff is always incredibly friendly. The rooms are comfortable (tiny bathrooms, however), and the food is decent. Good breakfast buffet and a good restaurant menu.

Hotel is looked after well and the rooms are nice. Swimming pool area needs a bit more attention, showers, sauna, steam room all need a deep clean. You get Sky in the room which surprised me, restaurant is nice and does good food. Menu is a little small, only had two veggie options. Staff are lovely! Big car park as well.

Spent a lovely afternoon at this location. Very good food exelent service. Would recommend the venue. Complimented the desk on leaving.

Nice pool. Rooms clean. Evening menus average and not very exciting. Breakfast very good. Heating was not working in our rooms so very cold. We were given portable electric heaters. Staff on reception excellent. Parking no problem.

Excellent place, friendly staff! We run events here quite often and we always leave happy! Special shout out to Lucy on our last visit! Very helpful and really made us feel welcome!

This is a fantastic Holiday Inn, despite being a little out of town this hotel has plenty of perks. It's located on a quiet campus just off the main road. The rooms and communal areas are very nice (including rather large TVs for this sort of hotel). Additionally there is a spar and pool! I've been here for a couple of business events too, the rooms are very nice and lunch service is excellent. The restaurant food is nice too, although the portions were very large (not necessarily a bad thing)! If you need a taxi into Peterborough, you can have reception call one, which typically arrives in 10 minutes and will cost £6 to the station.

There's nowhere else in Peterborough that does Christmas Party Night's like the Holiday Inn. Sure, the booze ain't cheap, but it's the best fun you'll ever have on a work do!

Good party night last night, only 4 stars due to poor service when holding a meeting but other than that it was great.

I recently attended a works Christmas party. The room we were given was large and clean. With plenty of room in order that we didn't feel cramped. The food was OK, I didn't rate the soup but the turkey main was nice. We were all moved on to the bar which was large and staff were pleasant. It did feel however, that around 7pm, that we were no longer welcome so we almost felt forced out of the bar. Pretty silly as there were a large number of people spending money there.

A typical Holiday Inn experience. Always good. Coffee expensive here though — franchise counter.

Their conference rooms are spacious, and their catering is good quality. The only slight annoyance is that they take the food away so quickly (which had been placed at the back of the conference room), rather than allowing people to finish at their leisure.

Very friendly and helpful staff, fantastic food which came out hot and quickly to around 300 guests, something that the other large local hotel struggles with. Bedrooms comfortable with decent beds and good if basic facilities. Reasonable room rates for a large function too. Although I'm speaking only as a paying guest (of a charity fundraiser), speaking to the event organisers they also speak favourably of this venue from their point of view which is good to know.

Good, clean location. Ample parking space. Nice reception and ample seating area.

Attended a course here and the reception staff were very helpful. Hotel looked clean and looked after. The hotel provided water and snacks for the course as well which was nice. If I didn't live so close I would definitely try as a overnight guest.

Been here before for a Company Christmas party, and for one night over, Excellent. The food, the service, the entertainment, the room, and to be able to stay until about 3am at the bar. This time I've come to a job interview, and again, even just having a coffee, the presentation and the were just fantastic. recommended!

We use Holiday Inn for our Monthly property Networking event and always find the staff to be helpful, over the last 18 months we have been holding the event here. Would highly recommend for any corporate events. Price is good for the facilities on offer.

Alright, quite a few cockups by the staff (half a dozen major problems over the weekend), but the atmosphere and quality made up for it.

I attended a private functions. However the food choices that were made available and served were without doubt everything I expected. Highly recommended by me.

Recognizes IHG Rewards members, free upgrade to an Executive Room. The room was a bit small and you can still smell the fresh paint as they were remodeling. The gym is nice enough and the food was average, had the Diablo Pizza, it seems they added Tabasco sauce on there.

Went to meet long distant family, welcoming environment with friendly staff. Did not view rooms or stay, just visited the bar and reception. 5/5

Held a meeting in one of the conference rooms. Lots of parking available for delegates. The room and facilities were good and all staff were very helpful. Would recommend.

Well run, helpful staff, splendid breakfast!

I have come here to use the conference facilities several times and once to eat. The hotel is presented to a high standard and the staff are friendly and efficient. Oh, and the meal was tasty. Friends and colleagues who work locally come here to use the gym. As franchise hotels go, the high quality of this one surprised me. The barriers to the car park irritate just a little but I'm sure they serve a useful purpose to the hotel. It is not hard to get around Peterborough by road at the busiest of times. But this one has particularly easy access.

Beautiful function room in the hotel, attended a function here recently and it was very impressive.

Stayed on Friday 23-24 Oct-15 (2 nights) as was working locally on that day and Saturday with two other colleagues. There was a terrible loud booming music/noise disturbance until after midnight keeping myself and my two other colleagues (on different floors! ) awake. We complained in the morning after the first night (at breakfast) and were offered a free drink at the bar when we got back in from work. We were told there had been a wedding reception the previous night. On the second (final) night of my stay — the same type of noise disturbance happened again. When I mentioned it in the morning — the receptionist just said 'Sorry, and hopefully see you again… or perhaps not as you might not want to use our services again! ' There was no offer of compensation at all. Very disappointed with the service and will definitely not recommend this hotel to anyone hoping to get a good night's sleep.

Wow what a wonderful stay was our honeymoon stay and the extra effort put in was amazing thank you all so much :) staff hotel and food was amazingxx we would love to come back but we have children are there any family rooms? x.

I have stayed here a number of times as it is close to the office. Rooms are a lottery, with the one I finally received this week was freezing as the window couldn't be shut properly until 11pm when the night porter after a struggle managed to get the window catch across. By this time I had two jumpers on and an additional free standing heater in a bid to warm up as there were no spare rooms, perhaps that was why initially the first room I was allocated was already occupied — but I don't do sharing of rooms with strangers. The windowsill this morning didn't just have condensation it had puddles of water and that was with three large bath towels that had soaked up some of the moisture on the windowsills as well, as the staff had placed them there in a bid to keep out the cold. You should also forget about paying for the Wi-Fi, it is very hit and miss and is always being moaned about, I can get a better signal by tethering to a Wi-Fi hotspot from my phone. That said the staff are great and very friendly and deserve some praise, it isn't there fault after all that some of the rooms are tired and in need of some urgent TLC.

I stay here about 80 nights / year as a business traveller and have done for some years. Having tried most of the mid/larger hotels in the area it's definitely the one I've stayed at the longest. Rooms / food and service are all good. Theres a good pub 5 minutes walk away but If you want to explore Or try some of the other pubs/restaurants the Hotel is about 10mins from the City Centre by car and Taxi fare about £10 each way.

So far have always stayed at this Holiday Inn when visiting Peterborough. The rooms are nice and if you book a few months in advance you get a good room rate. It is in a quiet part of Peterborough so no street noise and if you stay in the executive rooms you are away from the standard rooms so you won't be waken by noise guests.
