5* — We had a great night at the Griffin, great value food and drinks, also brilliant service from the lovely Hannah (Armstrong)

Was served by Hannah, she is lovely as are all the bar staff, always a great experience there.

We have been there today and have had a loving meal and the service was great thank you sally frommick will be back.

Wonderful pub, ran by a lovely couple who work very hard.

Absolutely recommend. Nice, homely hotel, spacious, clean room, crispy sheets. Amazing with pets, very pet friendly. Nice shower, room for everyone (if you take your dog for a wash after mucky run 😅). I wouldn’t allow my dog on the bed with mucky paws at home, neither in the hotel. PS: I had my own dog towel with me, I wouldn’t use hotel towels as they’re so crispy white and clean. I was allowed my dog to come with me for breakfast and staff is very friendly and welcoming, fantastic all around! Absolutely recommend this Olde Griffin as your first choice if you staying in March or surrounding area. Oh, the hotel also has good parking area behind the building. Brilliant! Thank you for making our stay so comfortable xx.

The food was good but was left disappointed with the lack of dairy based desserts, only serving vegan based custard and ice-cream. Things are hard enough for dairy farmers.

Went today for a meal staff was fantastic food was great had my daughter with us and they was so good with her requests for her dessert highly recommended.

Been in twice for meals, and cannot fault it, the service was amazing, food was excellent, social distancing and cleanliness all very good, wanted to go again, but shame it was closed.

Wonderful clean large family room. Slept so well. We all had a lovely time and would highly recommend this hotel. Very impressed with all the restrictions in place felt relaxed and spacious even with the FA cup final being played. Thank you.

Visited friends in March and came here yesterday really nice place, very clean, staff friendly and welcoming, lots of drink choices (especially love the cocktail menu). Food excellent and the carvery looked and smelt great but we didn’t have that. It’s dog friendly and they even have there own station with fresh water, dog bowls and treats which mine loved. Definitely recommend and will visit next time we are in the area.

Stop in the hotel as I woz working nover the rd. Lovely room with everything you need usb charging ports good TV nice bath and shower with plenty of free soap tea and coffee making facilities not bad for £60 a night.

Food was good for price paid, big place but a bit empty. Good night tonight England on big screen.

We called in lunchtime today, the food order that came first of all was wrong, then when the food arrived again, the chips, tomato, onion rings were all cold, (take it the same plates came back out) very dissapointed, did complain. We was hoping to stay over one night, but have now changed our minds.

Stayed at aye Olde Griffin Hotel. The hotel is ideally situated in the centre of March. The hotel and bar have a very good atmosphere. The rooms are very nice clean and comfortable. The staff are very pleasant and helpful nothing was too much trouble.
The breakfast was very good and the price of the rooms is very reasonable. Would definitely recommend.

Really nice pub and they also have rooms to rent if you need to stay because of a holiday, business trip or visiting, I have not stayed there but have seen lots of happy people going up and down the stairs they also have great food.

It's quite a nice place to have a meal and a drunk. The prices are reasonable and the staff are helpful. There are quite a few steps around the building and there are several little rooms to cosy up in. The food was great.

The Griffin is my local. We eat there regularly, breakfast and the Sunday Carvery mostly … The food is great and the staff too. My son stayed in one of their rooms last week and said it was a very nice room with a very comfortable bed.

Had the best meal here. Was great value and delicious. Lovely friendly staff. Definitely will be back again. Well worth 5 star's.

Great food and drink and seriously low prices! Staff were friendly and attentive, food was served well timed (and there was a few of a us). All round great place.

Not a bad pub, seems like one of the busiest in the town, turns into a bar at night, has a projector for football, has hotels rooms too. Not 5 star because its always tight and no space to do anything or sit, always end up sitting or standing in an awkward place.

Very welcoming ambience. My real ale was served promptly and was of good quality. The seating was very comforable and relaxing. I did not have food, but the menu looked impressive. Definitely worth another visit.

Welcoming start. Room very clean and tidy. however the morning I woke frozen serious draft due to the window and room very cold. bed was lush comfort however didn't keep me warm. breakfast was limited and seemed purchased the cheaper products. floor was disgustingly dirty from the night before. Seated next to another drafty window during breakfast. Wasn't asked how my visit was at all on leaving. Seriously disappointed.

Friendly welcome from staff. That smile goes a long way. Made me feel welcome and comfortable. The room was clean, warm and environment was clean The food was great. Served hot which I like.

Poor. Tried to have a reasonable conversation with the management after 3 months of not visiting this place. My friend had her drink spiked in December due to the no drinks on the dance floor rule but the management doesn’t even want to listen; let alone address the issue. I understand that broken glass can cause injury but spiked drinks can be a lot more serious. ‘Health and safety’ is not a good enough excuse to not take the issue seriously.

Parking nearby. Menu quite varied and nicely presented. Surprised by all the space inside. Pretty good.

Beautiful old building. Food tasty and reasonably priced. Staff excellent.

Surprisingly big pub inside. Nice beer garden made a bit cosier with fairy lights outside. Good menu with lots of deals for every day at a decent price, not too expensive, had specials of the day at the bar which looked yummy. Also a wide range of cheap drinks with deals on those too and iced water free of charge. The service was also nice and polite.

Really friendly place with a warm welcome. Dog friendly which was a huge plus for us. Great size room with fab breakfast. Owners were lovely.

Had lunch with friends, all had different vegetarian meals which were really nice, good value for money.

Ye Olde Griffin Hotel sits in the centre of March with private parking out the back which had a small charge. There is plenty of parking opposite in the Market Square which is free. The staff are friendly and helpful. The food is usually quickly served and the prices are very reasonable. This is perfect for a quick pub style meal. There is also a dance floor which provides some night life and many TV screens throughout usually showing sports.

The olde griffen hotel has a nice restaurant and bar. The staff was really nice and I would recommend family and friends to go visit here.

The Griffin is always fantastic. The staff are all cheerful and helpful, the food is always good at a very good price, especially if you go for their daily offers. You can reserve seating beforehand if you need to as well.
The place itself is a lovely place to be for a nice evening meal and a chat with friends/family or just as a couple. Worth baring in mind its a pub too, and some nights (like last night) it can get a bit noisy with 3 football matches on 3 different TV's.

Had a lovely lunch with a friend. Very nice food served by a friendly waiter. No waiting, superb service which is why I go to the Griffin.

Griffins is our favorite and the usual family choice when we all hungry and looking for great food for our money. We can have 4 meals for £ 20 including drinks. And food are very very good quality compare with any other places around us. Huge portions of very tasty dishes feed family well. Every day different theme. Very spacious and you can pick where you wanna sit. Atmosphere of old British pub and very friendly staff. Also, very friendly owners. Unfortunately, they are not appear to allow dogs thetlrefore we go to the nearby pub Gearge which is more 30 pensive to eat but they allow dogs.

Just called in for a drink but decided to eat as well, the food was lovely, I had lasagne and salad, very tasty and generous portion, the other half had the whale platter and struggled to finish it, nice atmosphere, busy but we didn't feel overwhelmed, would definitely eat there again.

Don't be fooled into thinking this is a weatherspoons. It isn't. Charge extra to swap 2 eggs, tomato and mushroom for a Rasher of bacon. Looks like spoons, feels like spoons, pricier than spoons. The staff were very friendly and polite, good service, similar to spoons but a bit different.

Good food and good ambiance. Good place to stop for lunch, but book it early because it is full for Sunday lunch in Summer.

Fantastic atmosphere for a foody pub. Staff are excellent and very helpful. Good sports on all day, fantastic real ale selection. Lee and Marina have done wonders in this pub/hotel, well recommended.

The pub was really close to a car park. The service from the staff was really good and came with a smile. The food was really quick and very good quality. Would definitely recommend this to other people!

Second time I've stayed at the pub now and it was just as good as before. They've recently redecorated all of the rooms and they look fantastic. The room I stayed in had what seemed to be a king size bed but, again just as last time I stayed, it was 2 smaller beds pushed together. The bathroom looked like I may have only been the first person to use it and the shower was so strong I thought I was going to fall over at first. As always the staff were friendly and chatty at all times. I didn't eat in the pub as I had prearranged to eat elsewhere; this isn't anything against the pub itself, the food that is offered is great pub food at a good price for a real portion of food. It can be a little noisy upstairs with the pub downstairs but it's a given when you stay above a pub and sports are on. I'm sure I'll stay here again next time I'm in March.

Came here yesterday to stay for the night as I was attending a party close by. Was welcomed straight away and went through the formalities of booking in etc. Our room was clean and a decent size for a nights stay however the mattress on the bed has clearly seen better days. Whilst we were there we decided to have something to eat. We went back to bar area which was showing the rugby and the football so was quite busy but not uncomfortable. Within 10 however there was an altercation after a begger was making a nuisance of himself and wouldn't leave (police had been called but wasn't in attendance), this led to a physical incident and from what I heard, a near stabbing. Obviously this is not down to the venue or the staff however I would like to commend the staff and how they dealt with the situation. They managed to diffuse the situation and separate the parties involved until the police arrived shortly after. Although it was clear that certain staff members were quite shaken, they remained professional and courteous to everyone and their professional manner helped to keep the other customers calm. With regards to the food, They have a very extensive menu and everything we ate was cooked to a very high standard, definitely recommend the brunch burger. The prices are reasonable too. On our return from the party (around 1am) there was again police outside as a fight had occurred just outside and the bouncers were just dragging another patron out.

The shower is like jet wash so hot it was brilliant, mugs in room not cups warm quite but it was monday to thusday ear plugs provided not needed , room clean and comfy no probs at all will stay again I need to feel safe women working away from home. Food good and service excellent Monday to.

We enjoyed the old fashioned hotel/inn our food was good as was the service the staff were friendly and helpful. Our room certainly did need improving and noise levels were high which did not lend itself to a good night's sleep definitely room for improvement.

4 meals 2 stone cold jacket potatoes. When we spoke to the manager at the bar about it he said "you got two more what more do you want, you ate it didn't you? ". Put this experience on facebook (at march Cambridgeshire) and we're not the only one by a long shot complaining about this place, waste your money if you want. There are other places much better than this in March.

Stayed in worse places, the bed is comfy and the room is clean The food is cheap and ok.

Since pub has been refurbished the standards have got better. Food is good, service is with a smile and the owners make you feel comfortable and very welcome.

This could not be described as a hotel, more of a hostel for acquaintances of the owners, with a fighting between them The dining room smelt so badly of old cooking fat that we did not eat there. The bedrooms although clean, were at best tired, with worn out carpets and pealing paint. Some of the corridors were blocked by rubbish, including a fire exit! and the staff didn't seem to care.
