Booked in here with other family members from across the country for a family wedding, good prices, clean, large, comfortable and quiet room, very pleasant staff.

Helpful staff, nice meals and good prices.

Had a lovely stay here, very clean & tidy, well kept & staff very welcoming & helpful, can't fault this hotel.

I've just arrived home after a lovely stay at the Oliver Cromwell over the weekend.
I was a little anxious venturing out after restrictions lifted but there really was no need. Staff were so pleasant and welcoming.
The rooms are lovely, fresh and clean and all public areas are well kept and clean — so reassuring.
We had a fab meal while there, well priced, so tasty and in a lovely atmosphere.
Would not hesitate to recommend as a place to stay, we will most definitely book again. Thank you 🙂

I would recommend this hotel as the facilities are good and the staff are pleasant, however during my week long stay my breakfast order was wrong 3 days out of 4 and no breakfast was delivered by the time I had to leave for work on the fifth day.

Fantastic nights sleep. Quiet comfortable clean spacious rooms with a great shower.
A little dated but for the price couldn’t have asked for more 10/10 we will use this hotel again and recommend to family and friends. Thank you for a very pleasant nights stay.

We have stayed two nights. Helpful from booking to leaving. Very friendly staff. Very nice clean room with very comfortable bed.
Food was a basic menu but everything we had was beautifully cooked. Easy walking into town if you chose to go. Would we come again, the answer is yes.

Great room with own balcony. Loads of space in the room and quality furnishings make it feel luxurious. Good bathroom with bath and shower. Food is really nice and the staff are very friendly. (room 29)

A lovely atmosphere every time I’ve been lovely staff happy, polite and work hard and great acts.

Better food, consistent bar pricing (same drinks cost different prices each time), better DJ.

Always good food and good atmosphere — staff always friendly helpful and looks after our family and friends well. Have held some great parties there as a great venue for celebrating and attended good musical tribute nights with great carvery meals. Cindy and team are great. Thanks everyone x.

Really nice hotel rooms top notch beds super comfy and breakfast was really nice will be back next year.

Friendly staff and very convenient for the town. Plenty of accessible parking, pool etc and comfy bed and room with balcony.

The Oliver Cromwell Hotel is a nice peaceful place to relax with a meal or a drink in the homely settings of a lounge bar and dining area with tables neatly presented and pleasant friendly staff. There is also a large room for private functions such as a wedding reception. There is also access and toilet facilities for wheelchair users. I enjoy various dishes from their wide range of large healthy meals such as fish with gourmet chips that has a special offer for two on Fridays and Chicken Jalfrezi curry with wild rice and naan from their special menu.

The whole experience was great the people were really friendly and very helpful and the place was spotless. The breakfast was fresh and a very good selection of cerials and fresh fruits I would recommend it to anyone.

Spent a great weekend at the Oliver Cromwell. Helpful attentive staff. Great spa facilities too! Had a lovely meal too at Petes restaurant! Simply perfect!

Better than it looks! Rooms modern and light. Food decent and very reasonably priced. Slightly strange arrangement of pre-made tea in the morning.

Stayed as overnight guest, ample parking, comfortable rooms. Nice leisure facilities, gym is a little cramped but making the best of the space available, could benefit from studio area. Nice sized pool with sauna, steam and jacuzzi all well presented. Locker room was okay sized but lockers could use an overhaul as frames showing rust. Breakfast is buffet with a good selection of items (fruits, cereals and cooked) produce could be better quality though. Overall very reasonably priced, friendly and helpful staff, would consider staying again.

Came to enquire about the gym. Was allowed a free trial day which was great. Excellent place. Helpful staff.

15 of us went there for a birthday celebration. The service was reasonably quick. The food tasted good. No complaints.

Very pleasant and helpful staff. I invariably go there for a friendly lunch sitting on the sofas. Nobody rushes you out. Thank you Ollie Cromwell.

Nice hotel. Gym and pool were shut early by 7.45pm. I was also put into one of the rooms not in hotel building which I did not know till I arrived. Comfy bed though.

Well run and friendly, coffee excellent and food looked good, but not eaten there or stayed in the hotel.

Had the lodge / room 70 and was excellent. Nice equipment in gym. Didn't use pool but very friendly staff behind bar. Breakfast could do with an improvement.

Staff extremely helpful for short time I was there. Top quality tea, coffee and buffet was provided. (Especially the hot home made sausage rolls! )

A pleasant hotel, which does what it says on the tin, but no more. Heating is by air conditioning which, for a light sleeper like me, means noisy.

Best burger in town, friendly staff, good Christmas meal and real ale.

We only stayed One night thank goodness we had a bad room perhaps the old part of the hotel who knows I'm an asthmatic the room smelt of old moth balls or old stale smoke I had trouble breathing. Receptionist apparently had trouble with working the computer which I really didn't want to know! The bed was awful in room 6, hard … we was up all night I was concerned the bed was dirty the room dirty etc! The meals were disgusting I'm so glad we only stayed one night and I will never return! Then on checking out we paid cash I was explaining to my daughter that I was extremely tired after being up ALL night when a gentlemen on reception said "so was I" yet again it's your job and I really didn't want to know that! The only nice staff was a young girl in the bar! From the outside the hotel looks nice and looks can be deceiving They are! I wish I booked somewhere else. I will not be returning!

This hotel was lovely. Staff are brilliant. Arrived late evening and was greeted by a lovely gentleman and another in the bar area as I went to get some ice for my room… staff are very helpful.
I was there for 2 nights 3 days. They have a lovely looking pool sauna etc… but the bed was soooooo comfortable I come to stay in bed and relax so I will be staying again and will do everything this time only thing I would say is to have more of a vegetarian options for breakfast like vegetarian sausages. Cause I don't eat pork so it was limited for me at breakfast when wanting a hot one…

We have just been for a carvery lunch (Easter Sunday) and have had probably the best carvery Ive ever eaten. The portions of meat were very generous and the beef was beautiful. All the sides were hot and delicious and there was a great variety. The staff were very friendly and referred to us by the name we booked under throughout, which was a nice touch. The tables were beautifully laid out with a chocolate egg each (when we arrived the lady took the egg away from my toddlers place setting and I thought oh no, poor child, … BUT it was because she was replacing it with a big Easter egg in mug which was very generous). Really pleased to have found somewhere good to eat when home visiting family.

Very efficient. Very friendly. Staff were helpful. Good range of whiskeys at a reasonably priced bar. Breakfast was good too. Paid extra for an executive sweet. Room was a pretty good size and we'll appointed.

Clean rooms, good food, friendly staff. What's not to like? The only thing is that it's starting to look a bit dated, but unless you have a fetish for interior decorating it's alright.

Very quiet and peaceful location, I often return here with work etc. Rooms are spacious and the pool and gym are useful too. Staff are helpful and the food is pretty good.
