Sandford House Hotel Wetherspoon Hotel

The hotel was excellent value, it was clean and the bed was comfortable. We stayed here the night before a hospital appointment at Hinchingbrooke and this was very conveniently located for the hospital and town centre. The pub was also very nice and the toilets are amazing, it has huge ornate mirrors, a beautiful giant sink and sofas. We only ate breakfast here but it was very nice and the service was quick.

Staff were helpful and friendly. Really not a bad place at all. Would recommend.

A really well rum pub, quick service for drinks and food, can use the app to get service at your table. Always clean, a huge area in an interesting building. Staff always friendly.

Great place to share a bite with friends and family alike. Can be busy in the evenings on Friday, Saturday and sometimes Sunday but that's to be expected. Good range of drinks, and a large menu to suit all, including some vegan options. The hotel part I cannot comment on as I've only been downstairs to eat and drink the bar. Overall good experience.

Food was ok service wasn't great. I got charged for an extra meal that I didn't order and it took over an hour and three times of asking to get my money back.

A comfortable hotel close to the centre of the town. No noise at all from the busy pub. Only downside is there is no parking on-site.

Superb little hotel in the middle of Huntingdon with excellent rooms and amenities. Unfortunately parking is a nightmare with no on site parking and the train station the cheapest option, although ridiculous charge timings. Witherspoon attached with decent food and a plethora of ales available. Would have been a 5* review if parking was available.

Fabulous room comfy big bed excellent value for money. Food and drinks well priced. Would definitely return and recommend to anyone. Staff helpful and friendly.

Good sized comfortable clean room. Attentive staff. Similar is layout to Travelodge or Premier inn, but a bit bigger. Bar/resteraunt busy some evenings but always had a table. No parking on site. Drop off area and public parking 5 minutes away was fine.

Clean modern and spacious, with friendly staff good food and fantastic value for money. Free Wi-Fi in both the hotel and bar. Only cons are a lack of parking on site. Local long term or short stay pay & display car parking is only a 2 min walk away.

Fantastic place it's clean and tidy with 22 bedrooms, staff are very welcoming and really do help if you need it definitely would recommend to others they only down side is they don't have there own car park but there's plenty of places to park one just across the road and there's another car park in walking distance.

We went for Sunday lunch. The food was lovely the server was polite and friendly. It's always welcoming when we go there. My favourite place to eat.

I have been to this pub a fair few times and in my opinion, it is pretty good. When me and my family go there I go for the soup, my husband goes for the chicken wings and my son also goes for the soup. Personally, I would recommend this pub to anyone since they have a good variety of food and its good value for money. Things I like about this pub includes a good range of food and drink choices, the tables and chairs are clean, toilets are clean too and you can get Wi-Fi that also offers table service (just a little note you have to sign in). The only problem I have with this pub is that the soup is cold sometimes so I end up asking the staff to reheat it for me. Still, the soup is delicious. In conclusion, I feel like this pub is truly incredible and I would highly recommend it.

Quirky Wetherspoons, two completely different styles of building with a link building between. A good range of well kept beers and the usual 'spoons fayre. Service was timely and the facilities very clean.

Very busy for Christmas eve but staff were excellent and atmosphere very good. We had drinks which were varied and well priced.

Stopped here for a quick lunch during the Christmas shopping. It was fairly busy at lunchtime, but the service was very quick. The food was OK, the usual Wetherspoon quality.

It's wetherspoons, decent beers and food at a great price, service is as good as you can expect given the popularity. Shame there isn't much parking immediately nearby, but you can't have everything!

One of the nicer weatherspoons that I have been in. Still great selection of beers and food. Has only been open for a couple of years. It is very popular.

My partner and I spent a couple of nights here. LGTB friendly. Was welcomed by very friendly staff. After issues with our car they order us taxis when ever we needed them. Gave us a fantastic stay. Room was dust free, clean and fresh. Tea and extra biscuits when ever we wanted them. Hightly recommended. Would stay again ☆☆☆☆☆

Its a Weathersponns so you know what you're getting. Good service at the bar. Food arrived quickly. Top tip: food arrives faster if you order through the Spoons app.

Great food, quick service and love being able to order items through the app. Only thing that lets this place down is the fact that there is no car park.

Our room was large, comfortable and very clean. Nice bed, very comfortable and we had a good night's sleep. Car parking is the only issue. The long stay car park we were recommended at reception was a good walk away, past the railway station, very dark, lots of broken glass around, wouldn't leave the car there. We used another long stay car park on Great Northern Street was much better in a residential area and well lit. There was also an issue with checking in a little early, was told we could but would be £20! This was only 45 minutes and we would have been happy to have been able to leave our bags somewhere having parked a bit away! Fortunately, another receptionist checked to see if our room was ready, which it was, problem solved! All in all, a good stay, but could do without a jobsworth after a 3 hour journey!

Order was messed up and nothing offerd for the hassle but a cup off coffe. It was a birthday meal and they messed up the person whos birthday it was meal. Customer service needs to improve. Food was good.

Excellent service, delicious food decent priced quality atmosphere.

Beautiful building but the bar staff were useless. There was no sense of urgency to serve people and the staff looked around as if lost and didn't know what to do. Edit: service here has improved immensely. For instance, I had a room in their hotel (which is pretty good btw with courteous staff) and I asked for a pint glass of ice for some drinks back in my room, and I was given a jug full!

Haven't yet started in the hotel but the pub/restaurant was light and spacious, clean and very good value. Varied food and drink offering — you're bound to find something for everyone! Will be visiting again.

Typical good value Wetherspoons in a nicely converted old building. Good food, friendly and helpful staff. Only let down for me by no parking. As another review mentioned lots of levels and steps, but nicely partitioned off in separate areas for a more intimate feeling with small groups.

Modern room, good size bathroom. Everything that you could need is supplied and the staff are really friendly and helpful. Would stay again.

Standard wetherspoons food. A building that has had a great conversion and had good character. It is busy especially at peak periods.

Well stocked supply of drinks, with plenty of choice for spirits as well as beers. Staff were friendly, the pub itself is kept in a good condition, great venue.

3 different breakfasts ordered two standard breakfasts and one quorn sausage bab on two different orders all cold or just warm. Also noticed orders waiting to be expedited under the heater lamps contains salad. Standards really beginning to drop.

Tastefully restored with all the old photos and details of its past. The food is good and cheap together with the array of real ales and plenty of other choices. Not as noisy as other spoons establishments and you can get away from the bar as this is a large building. Has hotel attached. No parking.

I went with my husband for lunch. We sat at high tables in two barstool type armchairs which were extremely comfortable (if a tad awkward to get into)! I ate off the gluten free menu — a significant factor in choosing the place. Service was at a reasonable pace, with a pleasant attitude, and the food fresh, hot and nicely presented. My husband was very pleased with the prices (though oddly they are not marked on the gluten free menu) and felt he had excellent value for money. The ladies toilets were an outing in themselves! Quite sumptuous, clean and well provided.

Atmosphere was great. Service was great too. Lovely interior. One of best Wetherspoons I have been in.

A great place to eat with a lot of charm and good quality food. The staff are friendly and very helpful. The menu is very affordable and the bar has a large selection of drinks.

Very good conversion from a furniture store! The place is massive though. Only went for coffee, which was OK, but didn't match places like Costa. Lively atmosphere, very busy. The ladies toilets are very large and nicely done, but are right at the top of the building — bit of a struggle for someone with arthritis in both knees! No on site parking. Good value for money.
