The Wi-Fi connection was NOT possible except reception area. They must not say "free Wi-Fi". Furthermore hot water in shower room was not hot at all. I would not stay hear in the future.

Had to check in at another hotel, not clear and very annoying. The Wi-Fi is what I decided on the hotel for and had to go to a conmon area to use as it wouldnt work in the room, very annoying! Bed as hard as a rock as well along with being very dated. Only positive was friendly staff and full english breakfast included was great.

To check in you have to go to another hotel, L Arandal, a good 10 min walk. Ashley doesn't have a front desk for everything you need to call the Arandal reception. The staff was very helpful Clean rooms but old fashioned. Discreet location not far from the centre but excessively expensive in relation to the quality of service offered.

I had my doubt at first but once inside it was very comfortable, check in can be awkward as it’s not attended until 3pm, earlier check ins will have to go to the sister hotel 10 mins away. Beds are very comfortable, plenty of parking with no height restriction and breakfast is very good. The downside is early check ins and the dated appearance, and also noise through the hotel quite a lot. Hotel is due for a refurb soon also.

Lovely hotel, very friendly helpful staff, fantastic location, nice clean rooms and bed were very comfortable, will definitely be staying there again, thank you.

It's in a good location with free parking. In a quite area. Local shop and retro pubs near by. Not a long walk from the town centre say 10 to 15 mins, you can cut thorough the park. The staff were really happy and helpful. The rooms were clean and good size. Breakfast was pleasant and a good selection. Again staff were brilliant. I would stay again.

Great night stay although neighbour was fairly noisy. Service was good. Great breakfast. Overall definitely value for the money.

Old style accommodation, you have to check-in in another hotel, Wi-Fi didn't work, clean rooms and staff is friendly.

Really nice B and B its very comfortable and the staff are very helpful.

Reasonable price rooms. Pleasant staff. Steep stairs may be a problem for some.

The staff were all very friendly and helpful, one made a 10-minute trip to fix the Wi-Fi router for a single guest. The rooms and halls were very hot though, and had no openable windows.

Good, fast breakfast service and nice rooms. The building appears a little worn on the inside, but they say they are working on it. There is a system for letting them know whether you need your towel washed or not depending on where you leave it, to prevent them from wasting water unnecessarily, which is a nice touch. Right next to a pub/restaurant and a mini supermarket which is a bonus.

It was a little bit too dated for the cost, however the staff at breakfast were exceptional and their cooking too.

An easy walk to the city center. Located in a quiet residential area. The brekkie was fantastic every day. The staff went out of their way to assist us during our stay, even accommodating us in extremely unusual ways. The building seems quite old, but the fixtures and furniture seem very new. And a tea set in our room! I was very reluctant to leave, my stay was so wonderful! Remember to check in at the Arundel, though.

Arrived Sunday after the reception was closed and called to arrange to pickup the keys but the staff hung up on me 3 times until I got necessary info to find their sister hotel down the road. Whilst checking in the staff were polite but clueless, and I had to push hard to get the time of breakfast. I eventually got in the room about 30 mins after first arriving. OK place otherwise but a bit worn and disorganised.

Despite its almost Hitchcock-grade exterior, the Ashley Hotel is very comfortable and warm inside, with nice and well equipped rooms and great breakfasts. Definitely a good place for a very good price.

We stayed at the Ashley House Hotel for two nights. The hotel was clean, breakfast lovely. We had a very comfortable mattress and a fabulous shower. Really good value.
