Hotel has great potential … just not quite there. Service slow and training required. Food not bad but overpriced.

Had a lovely time here for a hen party, rooms are lovely and food is beautiful although drink prices are ridiculous! (£28 for a bottle of wine! ) Spa package was nice, and staff were all great.

Rude receptionist on arrival. In general the bar area was untidy, empty’s not cleared etc. Room had cobwebs and spiders in bathroom. People in the room next door were noisy and woke us up at 4am arguing. Then at 6.30am we could hear staff arriving. Front of house staff at breakfast were rude, waited 20 minutes for tea and coffee. The cooked breakfast arrived beans and eggs were cold, bacon under cooked. Breakfast room had cobwebs all around windows and curtains. Told reception at check out issues and they didn’t care. But did try to charge us for drinks we never had! Definitely not 4 star, very disappointing.

The best best Western I've ever stay in and the staff are the best and friendly and all work well as a team.

We went as a party of 5 and ate dinner in the Wheelhouse restaurant. The atmosphere was great. The wheel was lit up an decorated with Xmas decorations. The staff were courteous and friendly. The food was superb. We had a great time and will definitely go back.

Incompetent staff, tired old fashioned rooms, awful breakfast and for £200 without breakfast it was a complete joke! I would never stay here again!

Had a two night stay. Pretty hotel set in stunning countryside with an abundance of friendly staff.

would be nice to see usb points in the rooms or around the bar areas.
better sign posting from the main road to the actual turning would be good.

Was a guest at a wedding and the food was awful. Drinks service was rubbish. Our hotel room didn’t have running water or a flushing toilet for over 24 hours. If there was less than 1 star I’d give it. Then bar staff took £100 for a tab that wasn’t ours. Joke of a venue. Avoid.

We headed here for a few nights after our wedding as a Mini Moon. It was a lovely hotel to stay in and the staff and service was brilliant. We ate in the bar on several occasions and couldn't fault the food, it was delicious. We really enjoyed using the pool and spa facilities, we also both had a lovely hot stone massage in the spa. We hired the bikes on one of the days and biked into Cambridge for the day, I would definitely recommend this as it was a great day out. We will definitely be back again!

4 of us went for Afternoon tea, 3 Gentleman's and 1 traditional tea were ordered. Staff were attentive but it was slow arriving considering it was booked in advance. Sandwiches on the traditional tea had been ordered, but came with the original menu selection… soon changed though. The Gentleman's tea had some lovely items, especially the quails scotch egg and black pudding slice, but although there was a selection of nice crackers, toast and breads there was one thin sliver of cheese… we had to eat them with just the chutney. The gentleman's relish was awful… incredibly salty and none of us ate it… we did ask the waitress to mention it to the chef for them to try it. A little pate and another cheese would have made it perfect (after losing the relish! ) The menu had apparently been recently changed… a few tweaks and it would be great. 1 week later… we were invited back for complimentary traditional teas. Everything went smoothly, superb service and the food and drinks were excellent… the glass of prosecco just added the sparkle… just wished the first one had been like this. Now thinking about going for the Festive tea at Christmas.

We held our annual family get-together of 16 of us, here for the first time, having been elsewhere for the previous 8 years. From the time of booking through to the actual event, we could not have received better service. Staff were friendly and helpful and ensured we had everything we needed to make the day a success. The food was excellent and with beautiful surroundings we had a wonderful day. My partner and I stayed the night in the hotel. The room was comfortable with a lovely view of the garden. Breakfast was again excellent and the service was friendly and efficient. We will definitely return.

Room perfectly acceptable and comfortable with nice bathroom including jacuzzi! Did not try the gym/pool. Good to have electric car parking but it was in use initially so they need more than one socket. Summer — in the absence of air conditioning the only option was a noisy ceiling fan. Hard to open the curtains without being seen from the courtyard! "Continental" buffet breakfast not fantastic. Some of the light bulbs were a bit dim and tired in the room. Would still go again though.

Quality hotel. Leisure facilities were clean and well maintained. Our room was clean and comfortable and the food was excellent. It wasn't a wide menu, but the quality more than made up for that. Much of the food is locally sourced and cooked to order so you don't experience shrivelled and dry left overs from a bain-marie. Ours was only a one night stay but we would have no problem in staying there again, or recommending it to others.

Reception stuff not too friendly Need to wait for invoice at least 10 mins at checkout and have to ask for invoicing everything not just bar drinks. You have to prepare book of you want to ear in the restaurant. Otherwise you have bar food only. Spa closes 8 pm which is a bit early. Room walls so thin. You can listen what people talking about even if the not loud… In our room there was a door to the next room. The draft was moving that door and making noise. So cannot sleep properly. Breakfast is up to 10.30 We arrived just after 10 am. Buffet was nearly empty. Hardly any cheese or meat. Or pastry. No plates at all. Only the tiny ones on your table. There were no orange juice left. Or any other We asked for more. They there is no more Not in the whole hotel. Which sounds funny in a 4 star hotel. After a bit of complaining we got one glass of orange juice. Only one. Very bad experience. The only helpful stuff member was at the bar at night. Otherwise stuff is not helpful and not too kind either. Very bad experience overall.

Lovely venue with superb food. The old part of the hotel is slightly old and to a certain extent, a little run down. Having said this, the spa facilities and the new rooms are wonderful, all in a beautiful setting. The food is delicious and the staff are incredibly helpful. I would definitely recommend staying in the newer rooms.

We just had afternoon tea at the Quy Hotel and it was lovely. Everything tasted fresh and delicious. The only thing that we found to be lacking was the staff! When we first arrived they were there to take our order but then they disappeared — they didn't come over to see if we were ok once our sandwiches/cakes had arrived. Once we had finished our tea we waited over half an hour and I had to go and find a member of staff. Noone came to see if we needed anything else, the bill or even if everything was to our liking. I don't want to be rushed when eating but I found the interaction with us and staff to be very lacking. I would recommend and go back as the food and hotel were fantastic. Plus I cant fault the staffs friendlyness just the lack of interaction.

Enjoyed the spa and hotel experience. Food a bit pricey for my taste but excellent quality. Had a spa treatment and got a coupon for my next time. Room was nice and grounds very beautiful.

Beautifully updated hotel on the outskirts of Cambridge. Quiet and serene. Perfect location for rest and relaxation but it's location outside town is not ideal if you wish to explore Cambridge by foot.

We went as a group for afternoon tea. There was a great selection of tea to choose from and a varied selection of sandwiches, scones and cakes. However some of the scones were not cooked through and some of the cakes/biscuits were so hard as to be inedible, in fact we weren't sure what they were. We did not feel our complaint was delt with adequately.

A single night stay with work. The room was great with a comfy bed and a nice decor. Also had a small patio area. We ate dinner in the bar and it was very good quality food. The breakfast was also great. Just one thing to note is that the rooms are seperated from the main building with the bar and restaurant by a short walk outside.

Boxing Day lunch, full marks to the whole team who provided an excellent well presented meal. We are always so well looked after whenever we eat at the hotel. Looking forward to further treats in 2018.

Went for Afternoon tea last Christmas enjoyed it so much we went back this year. They also did a brilliant job of my daughters wedding in 2014.

Loved this place and can't wait to go back. I got a voucher for my birthday and I have to say, spending the day with my sister, doing practically nothing but relaxing was bliss. I thought the prices were very reasonable and the staff are all very friendly and professional, the treatments I had were fantastic.

Stayed here for one night in November 2017. The standard double room was clean, very comfortable and quite spacious with a decent shower and a window overlooking the little river below. All of the staff I encountered were welcoming and helpful. The comfortable bar area was a very agreeable place to sit in the evening with a book and a couple of drinks. The cooked breakfast and buffet selection were good (though very pricey — about £18 — if you get a room-only rate). All in all, I would certainly stay again if in the area, and would recommend particularly for couples or those traveling for work.

We stayed the evening for a wedding which was wonderful, we were extremely well catered for, and had a fantastic stay. The room was spacious, clean, modern and comfortable, everything we could ask for. With the added view of the river! Dinner and breakfast was excellent, pool and spa also lovely.

We attended Quy Mill for a wedding fair and we were very impressed. We spoke to their staff with regards to weddings and they were very knowledgeable and friendly. The venue itself was very nice but we didn't look around the rooms or public areas extensively, just the public areas available to the wedding fair.

Went for afternoon tea. Decent service — a little slow but there was a wedding so understandable. Cheese scone a little dry but nothing a little butter wouldn't solve: better still have the fruit one which was great. Good cakes. Very good cakes.

We visited for afternoon tea with friends. Unfortunately the food was no great at all. The sandwich selection in my opinion were tasteless and cold. The scones were heavy and maybe little bit old. The cake/sweet selection was completely dry and cold (you can't service a chocolate lava/molten mini cake completely cold! ). The macaroon has too much rose infusion in it and only the ginger snap tuile was nice. The service was good but I wouldn't visit it again.

First we must mention Justin. He swept us up, took us to see all the important thinks like the amazing old water wheel, then settled us happily in the Celtic bar. Dinner that night in the bar was easily the best we have had on our trip so far. It was off to the pool first thing to swim it off! We will return.

Very nice hotel. Room was spacious and clean. The turn down service early evening was a Very nice touch. The dinner was not as great as I was expecting. No atmosphere in the restaurant and the food was quite bland. Breakfast was good. Lots of local produce in the full English.

Really lovely hotel in a great peaceful space. Easier to get in to town with your car which isn't great if you'd like a drink. We stayed here to go to Harry Potter studios which was a easy drive from here. Free parking and use of the swimming pool. We ate at the bar one night too which was lovely if a little expensive. Room was quirky and spacious with a lovely bathroom.

Met some friends and had a meal, was ok, nothing mind blowing but ok.

The Room was perfect. We also enjoyed the swimming pool, Jacuzzi, sauna and hammam.

Attended for a training course. Staff were very helpful and welcoming so would definitely use again.

Hired function room, drinks and cake.

Work Christmas party. Very cramped. Drinks were expensive. I got drunk all the same, so I won't complain.

Very nice hotel, beautiful and quiet place. Highly recommended.
