Visited as part of an event. Had poor food service and the food was poor also. Spoke to the on duty manager who stated they would get the general manager to follow it up. Have heard nothing. Hide under the fact that Accor themselves rarely answer the phone. Very very poor customer service. Has gone from poor hotel facilities to a conduct of staff issue as they do not value polite feedback from customers.

My sister Katie got married here to Steve on 29th November. It was truly a perfect day. Simon and his team were so attentive and went the extra mile to make their day special. The food was tasty and the service was flawless. The hotel is decorated to a high standard and the bed was very comfortable. The Christmas decorations are very elegant. It was a wonderful wedding venue and we would definitely recommend. Thank you to all involved.

My husband and I got married here a week ago on 06/10/19 we literally had the best day of our lives.
The Venue was completely perfect in every way.
We would like to personally thank Charlie for everything she had done leading up to the wedding day. Nothing was an issue, she always got back to me very quickly and so very helpful. We are truly grateful to of had her help throughout the process.
We would also like to thank Simon and his team for all their help on the day.
They were absolutely amazing! Their attention to detail was very much appreciated. Simon was very thoughtful and attentive, especially to myself and the groom. I would most definitely recommend anyone getting married here. All our family and friends speak very highly of this Venue and say they couldn’t have done more and we completely agree.
Also I can’t stress enough how amazing the food was!
I heard after the big day the only 1 issue we had was that there wasn’t enough chairs with chair covers and sashes which were provided by another company, yet I wasn’t aware of this at all! It was sorted and rectified by the Venue without me the bride knowing on the day, that’s how amazing they really were.

We got married here on 01/09/19. Best day of my life but best experience of my life too. From start to finish Woughton house staff were amazing. We got married at Woughton House on Saturday 27th July 2019. We couldn't have asked for a better experience throught the whole process. Everything we wanted and asked for was not a issue and was done for us. Staff where so friendly and amazing on the day. We loved everything about our wedding and we where overwhelmed by how much effort they all put in for us! Lovely hotel, would definitely recommend! For me, I cannot overstate how friendly, welcoming and efficient the whole team were, from the moment we arrived through to our departure the following day. Good humoured and good natured, the team create a relaxing atmosphere with their wonderful hospitality. The bedroom was fabulous, I have to mention the particularly comfortable bed and pillows, and a nice touch to have complimentary hot and cold refreshments. I chose from the bar menu for our evening meal, delicious food and the breakfast was superb. Location is perfect, we arrived mid afternoon following a visit to Bletchley Park nearby. Thank you so much for making our stay so thoroughly enjoyable!

We attended a Freemasons Ladies festival and had a brilliant time, the food was excellent and the staff were very pleasent and professional. If anyone is looking for a venue to hold an event, wedding etc, this is the place to be.

Avoid at all costs stayed here one night never again, room was not ready on arrival, and to top it all not on the breakfast list which had been paid for in advance, never in my life have we felt so embarrassed, and when went to query with the reception they said we were not on there system funny because the receptionist we were dealing with was the one we received our room key from the day before.

We took a 9 month old with us and they kindly gave him his own little plate of treats. Very polite staff and lovely selection.

Really lovely stay here, really lovely rooms, clean, comfy, chic and of good quality furnishings! We slept well in a very comfortable bed after attending a wedding reception

Lovely good quality breakfast in the morning, only small issue I'd say wld be the layout of where's the buffet is set up, due to people squeezing past your table to get to it.

A wonderful place to stay! Breakfasts are amazing, rooms are so welcoming and comfortable. This is not the first time we have stayed and if we come to the area again we would contu ue to book into here.

This hotel is a lovely place to stay, the room was lovely, the staff really friendly and helpful. We had a great meal in the restaurant which was fantastic and very good value for money. I would recommend this place many times over and will be returning.

Very nice place for afternoon tea. We booked the afternoon tea just one day before arrival. The quality is very good and the taste is also brilliant. Especially there is a garden with beautiful county side view. The child can play I the garden and watch farm animals next to the hotel. The hotel is well decorated with premium sofa and chairs. The car parking area is not very large but there are extended car parking area near the entrance. In all, it definitely worths another visit.

Beautiful four stars hotel. I often visit with friends. The hotel does host amazing wedding events and some of the week night classic piano can be enjoyed at reception.

We chose this place because it was in country surroundings and we weren't disappointed, lovely hotel, very friendly staff, very comfy bed, spotless bathroom and the food was good too.

My husband and I spent 2 nights in the privilege room. What an amazing 2 nights away from the kids great food and staff. Lovely.

Lovely tasting meal for a great price since we managed to get a Groupon deal. The staff were very helpful and I would definitely look forward to coming here again in the near future.

Fantastic, had my wedding here 3yrs ago, couldn’t say a bad word everything was perfect. The manager Gareth couldn’t do enough and make sure everything runs smoothly. Then 2 years ago I returned for my best friends baby shower, we had our own room of front bar which was lovely and we had a beautiful afternoon tea, which was lovely. Staff help with decorating and made sure we all had everything we needed. Then February my mother in law turned 70 and we had one of the new function rooms, which are all newly decorated and look fab with bar and afternoon tea, The food was lovely, beautiful cakes and sandwiches, great selection of teas. We also decorated tables and Gareth helped us to make everything perfect they also made sure we had plain sandwiches for the children, which went down lovely with crisps they loved it. We were able to bring our own music and there was no rush for us to be out of room so we all had drinks from bar and had a really nice afternoon. The best prices to great value for money. Gareth also arranged for a red carpet to be put out the front when my mother in law arrived which was lovely. Thanks to Gareth and staff u are all brillant look forward to returning.

Having just returned from my brothers 60th birthday afternoon tea at £22.50 per person and there being 7 of us we were very disappointed with the overall experience. Offered 1 drink per person, afternoon tea consisted of 8 small finger sandwiches per couple, scone and selection of small cakes and pastries, not one member of staff checked if we required more drink refills, more sandwiches in fact no one visited our table. At a total of £157.50 surely they could have done better. We are regulars to having afternoon teas in many different establishments but this was not value for money especially for any special occasion.

I had a delightful afternoon tea here and I can't argue with the service. They were polite, efficient but not overly attentive which made for a lovely evening.

We stayed at Woughton House Hotel just before Christmas and it was a fantastic night away. Our room was immaculate and we found the staff to be friendly and attentive. We had a meal in the on site Willows restaurant and this too was first class, lovely food and great atmosphere. Can't recommend this hotel enough and we'll certainly be back.

Stay at your own peril. My room was dirty, the area around the windows was covered in cobwebs, the controls around the radiator were covered in cobwebs. The bathroom floor and bath panel were covered in a dry white powder — l assume it was talcum powder but perhaps it was not. One of my dogs went under the bed and came out with bread sticks. L also found a credit card voucher on the carpet dated 13.12 17 l stayed 7.01.18 — when was the room last cleaned. On the table was a notice "we hope you enjoy this water on the hotel" l am still looking for the water. I complained to management and was told we do not have a manager, she walked out 3 weeks ago, we can not get house keeping to do anything. My view awful hotel and the staff do not care, l have tried to speak with the management company who own the hotel and l was told the management are off sick — strange comment.

I feel that I must comment on how helpful and friendly the staff are at this hotel. It was a pleasure to have been served by them. A nice hotel with plenty of parking and just a few minutes taxi from the Milton Keynes centre.

Was curious to see what the hotel was like now as we married there in 2003. We weren't disappointed. We didn't stay over but had a lovely 3 course meal in the Seasons restaurant. I will leave a very honest review. The two girls in the restaurant are a credit — were really attentive. The last time we had such good service was at a Michelin star restaurant and this level of service is rare thesedays! Yes the food takes a little while to prepare but we enjoyed the relaxing and comfortable surroundings and we weren't made to feel like we were on a conveyor belt. Some people were whingeing about the wait on food but seriously people this is fine dining which does take time to prepare… it's not a hungry horse microwave meal! The complimentary bread and oil was a nice touch although the bread wasn't to my taste. The food was really lovely. We had a tasty soup for starter served by the waiter. Hubby's main was duck. This looked amazing. I chose the game pie but was a bit taken aback by the Desperate Dan portion! It wasn't really fine dining — I'd say better suited to the bar menu. Other people's mains looked amazing. The desserts are absolutely to die for. Hubby had passion fruit cheesecake (deconstructed) and I had the apple dessert. Absolutely scrummy! Despite my dodgy main I would definitely return for another meal. I love the small comfortable and intimate restaurant, the staff make you feel special and the food is top notch.

We attended a wedding at this venue and stayed for two nights. The venue itself is lovely and the rooms are comfortable and modern. The staff were welcoming and accommodating, one lady even went out of her way to help us when we requested a room change to be on the ground floor.

Delicious afternoon tea and plenty of food for 2 people. We booked through Groupon so paid half price for 2 people to have afternoon tea and a glass of champagne. The setting is gorgeous, you almost can't believe you are sat in Milton Keynes in a quaint hotel surrounded by country side. The sandwiches and cakes were tasty and the tea selection is fantastic (try the Nutty Chocolate it's delicious! ). The only criticism I would have is that the staff are not too attentive. We weren't checked up on to see if we needed extra milk or water (which we did) and it's always courteous to ask how the food is at least. Perhaps the staff are too busy or it's just not part of the service here and you are left to get on with it (which some people like I'm sure). Either way I would definitely go again and recommend others to try it.

Excellent facilities, the best nights sleep I have had for a long while as the bed was so comfy. The staff were excellent, very attentive and professional, especially Becca who helped me with the wine menu. Will definitely come again.

Had afternoon tea with my mum. She had the most wonderful smile from start to finish. The garden Room is lovely, with views across the lawn and fields. The afternoon tea itself was beautifully presented and delicious. A fabulous time making fantastic memories.

Having come here for a wedding I have to say the staff are very polite but that's about as good as it gets. £14 for a run of the mill Brandy £10.95 for a large white wine £4.95 for a bottle of beer it's ridiculous. There were two people behind a bar for 140 wedding guests so service was very slow and the food was appalling. I didn't complain about the food but the pie was overcooked and I received 5 Chips on my plate. It's difficult to complain at a wedding and offend the happy couple so I felt I had to put a review on here. Do yourself a favour and avoid this place it's ridiculously expensive for a very poor experience.

Bar is expensive. Nice looking hotel. Slightly strange internal decor. Nice, pleasant staff. Sunday lunch was good. I'd give it 7 out of 10. Worth a visit but don't have too high expectations…

This is the first time we have visited since becoming a Sofitel. We saw a Groupon offer for a two course meal. Staff were very friendly and attentive, the dining room was quiet and tastefully decorated and the food was good but not great. My Son had sliced lamb but potatoes had to be added as a £3.95 extra, the rest of us had fish and chips which were tasty. It was a pleasant evening but over priced if you had paid the full price.

Went for afternoon tea with friends Plenty of food and excellent polite and friendly service. No shortage of top ups of tea and coffee. Clean and pleasant restaurant Clean toilets Set in pretty parkland with plenty of parking.

It's a beautiful place. Staff are friendly and helpful! Rooms are spacious clean and tidy, and the beds are comfortable I had a peaceful sleep. The surroundings are clean, nice and rural but there isn't enough outside seatings areas! It would be nice if there was at least some extra facilities like a pool/jacuzzi or gym. But overall it's a beautiful place to stay.

A lovely Place, staff helpful & friendly however poor afternoon tea. Sandwiches poor, one had a thick slice of beef.! White bread very thin so with soft cheese very sticky. Small cakes looked old. Scones lovely and home made jam really tasty which made up for small cakes. Would have liked a couple of crisps.

Stayed in a privileged room as my company arranged it for me, very happy with the room couldn't fault it other than in places the carpet was worn through, this I can forgive because the rest of the room was great. On suite was also very nice with a fairly powerful shower. Only grip was that the bar food was expensive for what you got, curry last night at £14.95, which I think was not worth a penny more than £7.00, the night before was beer battered fish that didn't taste of beer at all. Overall I like the place and service received.

Considering that this is only 5 minutes from the centre of Milton Keynes, the hotel is beautifully rural. A former country house with a lovely garden and very tastefully decorated (although we only go for afternoon tea, so I can't comment on the bedrooms). Stunning afternoon tea and impeccable service every time. Recommend without hesitation.

Attended a very well organised social event here, where staff were friendly and helpful. The event with 100+ attendees went off without a hitch thanks to excellent coordination and attention to detail by the hotel staff. The hotel is in a lovely setting with good parking.

I was a guest at an afternoon tea, sandwiches were dry, tasteless and not well filled. No choice of teas. Just given pots of tea. Where I have had afternoon tea elsewhere I was given a selection to choose from. No decaf available. Cakes were just all sponge. Scones with cream and jam were nice.

Wonderful decor, though room used as wedding venue could use updating. Efficient staff, and wonderful food.

Comfortable rooms but terribly expensive to eat or drink with very poor customer services. The bar man did not have Sherry and did not even know what Sherry was for example.

I went for a work Christmas party event. It was well decorated and the food was nice. The bar was on the pricy side and I didn't have much contact with members of staff, however they were generally helpful. The overall level of standard was possibly let down by the fact that the hotel was full of different groups of people at a work function. I can't comment on the rooms are any other features, however at the end of the evening I found it pleasantly easy to book a taxi through the reception.

Mainly good customer service. Clean and relaxed. Weddings during our stay were managed well — no disruption for other guests.

On 29th June 2013, My wife & I got married at Parkside Hotel. Our wedding Planners were fantastic. The Staff all worked together to make our day extra special. We had amazing fantastic day. The parkside is a lovely venue for planning a wedding, All our guest & family fully enjoyed the day. The location is beautiful & our wedding photos are fabulous, Thank you all at parkside hotel for amazing day.

On the 2nd December we booked an afternoon tea at your hotel for a friend’s birthday. I have to say I was looking forward to it as I’ve been for tea at this hotel before. So I was bitterly disappointed and felt rather embarrassed for my friend who’s birthday it was at the lack of service we received. Considering this tea had been booked well in advance it was utterly disorganised from start to finish and not worth the money that we all paid for. To wait over half an hour for tea to be served after placing our order is unacceptable. To have to wait for cups and saucers to be brought to the table after the pots of tea had been served is just disgraceful. Most of us sat there drinking cold tea while still waiting for the champagne that was ordered to arrive at the table. The waitress was clearly out of her depth with a clear language barrier causing a lot of confusion. The hostess kept apologising but clearly didn’t seem to be too bothered by the lack of service we were getting either. All in all a very disappointing experience and one that I’ll be sure to mention to the Citizen newspaper. In this day and age when companies all over the UK are struggling to stay in business, you would have thought that service would be of a high standard so as to keep the customers happy and coming back for more. Clearly this is a principle that is not adopted at this hotel.
