Very nice environment with water, birds, green garden and bridge. Quiet and beautiful. Good outside area for team meetings.

It was beautiful. The service was second to none in my experience. The food was fantastic, and although it was a more expensive meal, the whole experience was more than well worth it.

Fantastic service, food and ambience. Definitely a place for that special occasion or when you want to treat yourself.

Situated on the river bank with lovely views of lush lawns, willow trees with the fast flowing river in the background. Felt as though we had gone back in time. Lovely service, good food and a wonderful wine selection. Highly recommend.

Stayed overnight on a business trip, accommodation was ok. Could do with a perhaps a refurb in the room, but view out to the River was lovely. Breakfast was a little slow to arrive but cooked very well and was hot. Staff are very friendly and helpful and the whiskey menu is incredible!

The French Horn has a family link to my family back to my grandfather who had his honeymoon there. My children took me there for lunch today, it was truly outstanding. You have to try it for yourself.

Stunning location, sensation service and amazing food. We have been going to The French Horn for over 10 years now and it never fails to impress us. It's become a very special place for our family to go to a few times every year for birthday celebrations and family occasions. The service is always superb and the food is fantastic, I can not recommend it enough.

Incredible restaurant. Everything perfect down to finest of detail. I ate spit roast duck and it was the best duck I have ever eaten. My partner had Dover sole and said the same. We stumbled across the place, but we will be making any effort to re visit.

Another warm welcome from the manager and staff when my wife and I arrived (by canoe! ) for a mid-week lunch. The ambience, service and food were a delightful accompaniment to a lovely early Autumn day paddling on the River Thames from Reading to Sonning. We look forward to visiting again soon.

I was there for a funeral wake, the French horn is top class and the weather was nice enough to be out on the lawn endless great finger food couldn't wait to try the next one staff were very nice and helpful.

Tradition and excellent food meet beautiful location. This is just the best restaurant experience you'll ever have, we visit regularly. I recommend the spit roasted duck.

We booked in here for one night following a day trip London. The French Horn had been recommend to us by friends, for both accommodation and cuisine. Can I just say that it lived up to it's reputation on both counts. The room was lovely, quaint but very comfortable with glorious view over the lawns and river. The food was brilliant both pleasing to the eye and taste buds. AS for the staff, charming, polite and attentive. Highly recommended.

A wonderful hideaway on the banks of a quiet backwater of the Thames. We have lunched there many times over the years. The wine list is something really special and the quality of the food is as one would expect from this well known establishment but this year it's even better.

I have visited the French Horn many times and always found the food to be excellent. The service is wonderful also. This restaurant is old-fashioned and all the better for it, no generic contemporary decor or square plates here. The food is better than in leading London hotels and portions are generous. Highly recommend for a date or a family occasion. Have only visited in evenings, Saturday is the best night.

Over rated and over priced.

Great surroundings, immaculate patio garden, and the food is on the higher end of the spectrum. Very classic in style for those who like this kind of ambience, and the service is quite formal: picture the person carving the meat on a trolly in front of your table. Good place to warm up after a long stroll along the thames.
