Delicious evening buffet fabulous restaurant lovely staff.

Stayed at the Hilton Hotel Reading for 4 days. Upon checkout was told a receipt for my stay would be emailed to me… It wasn’t. Followed up 4 times and requested the receipt be emailed through (providing my email address each time and even sending an email to enable a response). Still received nothing. This was after (a male) staff member at the hotel opened our hotel door without knocking — when my wife was alone in the room. Terrible experience with unhelpful and unprofessional staff.

The hotel room was lovely! But that was it! I got food poisoning while at this branch we was left at our table for 40 Minutes before we was was even spoken to… One main meal come out and then my partner had to wait 20 minutes for hers so mine was cold by the time hers was out I was very ill from the food so I couldn’t make the breakfast then asked for a refund which still hasn’t gone into my bank and that was three weeks ago overall I am never going to stay at Hilton again The staff was so rude and kept walking past us despite we was sat waiting for someone to get us drinks and food. The steak I Got (sirloin) was very very fatty couldn’t even eat half of it. There lucky to get a 1 star review from me and the fact they haven’t refunded me £25 for the breckfast I didn’t even eat is ridiculous. Shocking.

Very good hotel. Alas telly in the bar has no sound! Not very good when people want to watch the FA Cup!

We can fully recommend this hotel. From the moment we arrived, reception staff were attentive friendly and welcoming. Hotel clean and room super. Fantastic choice in breakfast and thankyou to Sylvia who attended to us at breakfast. Every member of staff at the hotel from reception to cleaners all said hello. Well done Hilton reading we will definitely be back. We didn’t have time to use the health club facilities but will do o next time.

Easy booking, check-in & check-out. Easy parking. Staff friendly and helpful. Food excellent & dietary requirements no problem at all. Breakfast was included in the price and had everything we could possibly want, including gluten free bread. Did not ask for it to be toasted though I'm sure that wouldn't have been a problem. Good supplies in our room and a fridge too. Delighted to find a bath and the shower was excellent. Only downside, which we reported on check-out was a nasty stain on the arm chair in our room and a few stains on the carpet.

Impressive hotel with good 🥘 food.

Really disappointing meal at the restaurant tonight. Food was fine but the drinks were ridiculously overpriced and the service was lacking co-ordination to the amount of customers there. Sadly value for money just not there. Gym facilities are great though and staff at that part of the hotel are excellent. Didn’t stay there so can’t comment on the rooms.

Rooms very nice and happily there was a Nespresso Coffee machine!

Incompetent staff, over charged by £90… overpriced rubbish food and just to complete my one night misery… am covered with bed bug bites!

Very disappointed arrived around 7pm to be given our key to our room. Went into the room to find the room hadn't been cleaned from previous occupants. Unfortunately then had to downgrade our room as no clean ones available in our choice. Went to eat in restaurant and after waiting ages decided to leave as they were so busy and only 2 staff members on. All the other rooms has covid stickers on apart from the new one we were allocated but at this point we had lost the will after a long journey to get there. The overall standard of room was no better than budget hotel. We had broken thermostat, nails sticking out of wall and dreadful mattress.

It is very wheelchair friendly very helpful staff.

The Hotel Spa area needs cleaning. It was quite disgusting whilst we were there at the weekend. Our key fobs did not work for our room despite several attempts by the managers to resolve the issue. We had to ask staff to let us in each time with the master key. Our kettle did not work and had to be replaced. My single mattress was very uncomfortable and the pillows were too soft. The buffet selection both in the evening and at breakfast was very limited. I would give this hotel a 2 out of 5 rating based on my recent experience.

Great Hotel — great staff!

Very nice hotel with comfortable rooms, good bathroom products and very good breakfast. The hotel is well placed for easy access to Reading and the foyer is very tastefully decorated. All the staff were helpful and courteous. I would recommend staying here.

Lovely 4 star hotel in great situation for short drive to food and shopping or canal walks. Great staff, comfy rooms. Very impressive foyer. Would definitely return.

Fantastic spa treatment with Annie today, the all over exfoliating treatment and the Indian head massage were amazing, would highly recommend.

I had a very enjoyable stay the hotel was spotless, the staff were friendly, helpful and polite. There was plenty of parking and the breakfast was excellent. My room was spacious and the bed very comfortable. I shall use this hotel again.

The staff throughout were so polite and friendly. Thank you. Spoke up at breakfast as the tea was far too strong … along came my own personal pot of tea. Got shown around the health centre as a little nervous to go in alone. Bed so comfortable and room temperature perfect. As a disabled traveller, I would have appreciated an offer of help at breakfast, because negotiating a buffet whilst using crutches is near on impossible. However, asking for help was met with a smile and the much needed extra pair of hands. A thoroughly enjoyable stay.

I would just like to thank all the staff who made my afternoon tea birthday experience absolutely amazing. You accommodated all 12 of us brilliantly, considering we had a mix of normal, kids and gluten free to make. Thank you so much. The staff were all friendly and welcoming. The table was set up beautifully. I would highly recommend and will be back again. Many thanks.

Came here with my partner a few months ago for a romantic weekend away! Lovely and clean room and also nice view from the window. The service was a high standard very impressed would stay here again.

Rooms are lovely, staff were helpful, food was good and the spa facilities were amazing.

Great reception and checking out staff, always friendly. Breakfast was amazing and top notch service.

Held a conference here today, staff were on hand throughout the day to help assist attendees, set up a hearing loop etc. The lunch provided was lovely and guests commented positively on the venue.

The Food area is not at all clean because I saw flies sitting on the bread which is left open and the salads. The staff should be more trained to serve guests than only just welcoming Tables are not cleaned after use and table mats are not displayed with clean spoons so totally no etiquette shown.

Very nice place. Quite good gym and sauna. Very good food at the restaurant. Good selection of wines and beers. Employy really available to help.

We stayed two weeks ago for nights. Great Hotel. Close to football (soccer) stadium. Breakfast was great.

Pretty good experience. Comfortable and mostly quiet, even on the main road side. Only marking down because small details like the TV being unplugged and awkward to plug back in again, fridge being switched off. However the speaker in the bathroom was a nice touch. Never sat on a loo and listened to Carol Kirkwood's weather forecast with such clarity before!

Staff require training. They have not been taught how to serve, or customer service in hospitality. Also tried the afternoon tea offering but I was not impressed. Whipped cream instead of clotted cream, staff unaware of the booking (internal communications issue), tea offering not to the standard expected from Hilton, and general staff training was obviously missing. Overall a very disappointing experience.

Good for business trips. Rooms are simple but clean and spacious. A good number of staff members struggle to have basic conversations in English which at times can be really frustrating. Meals are good and there is a wide variety of dishes and drinks available.

Spacious underground parking, spacious lobby, good quality bedroom and bathroom. Breakfast is excellent with hot foods and lots of fresh fruits. Highly recommended.

Best Hilton we've stayed at for a while. Staff friendly and helpful. Very busy, food was good and reasonably priced. Bar could do with more staff. Room was very comfortable and clean.

Beautiful experience. Had the pleasure to have snow falling. Beautiful sceneries amazing stuff. The rooms are just clean as it can be. Impeccable. Breakfast is to dies for. Location is just perfect as its close to town centre and shopping malls (loved by my wife too) Would love to visit again…

This is one of the nicer Hilton’s I have stayed at. The rooms are modern and clean. The front desk staff was always helpful to get a taxi or point you in the right direction to things. There aren’t many restaurants nearby but you are only about 15 minutes from the city center and in good weather you can walk the distance. There is a Costco nearby and the food at the restaurant is good. My rate also included a full breakfast buffet which was quite good as well. I’d stay here again.

Only stayed over for one night as had a early appointment the following day. Hotel was fantastic from the moment you walked in greeted by the reception staff and helped with all my needs. We didn't stay for dinner as we had reservations in town but we did have drinks in the bar on return. All the staff were happy and polite.

Absolutely perfect! Stayed here over the long weekend! The staff were very accomodating, very polite, very helpful. 10/10! They have this service where they text you asking how everything is, and you can order via text. It felt like I was staying at a 7 star hotel! They also gave us a free upgrade! The room was very clean and tidy. The bed was really comfortable. All in all, it was a lovely stay! Perfect. Thank you and keep it up!

Just before Christmas I purchased £150 worth of vouchers for my friends and family to use the Ocean room spa in your hotel, I have recently found out this company has gone into liquidation. Why allow me to purchase vouchers for a service that is no longer available.
I’ve tried contacting you guys on numerous occasions with no joy! Awful customer service! I won’t let this lie and will be going to the small claims court if I don’t receive a refund!

This was definitely one of the best stays me and my family had in UK. Although we stayed only one night, we had a great time and staff was exceptionally good and helpful. We needed to check-in early and check-out late, they said yes. They let us use the pool all day, after the check-out. They let us use the car park after the check-out. Restaurant and food was great. Room was great. We're asked several times to make sure everything is good. And here I would like to take this opportunity to thanks everyone — you guys do a great job.

Stopped here to meet travelling colleagues before a work conference. Good location for our meeting. Only really used and visited the bar, it was clean and tidy. Service was welcoming and attentive but the decor and ambiance is a little bland and sterile. Too many loud talking suits getting excited and very animated by the end of the afternoon though.

The room was very clean and spacious. The bed was very comfortable. The only minor issue was a lack of plug sockets near the bed. I use a cpap machine at night so had to stretch the cable across the length of the room to use it which was not ideal. The service at the bar was a little slow but it was very busy. The food for our function was ok. It could have been seasoned a little more though.

Very nice and friendly staff. Took my Grandchildren here for lunch. They loved it. Very clean and food delicious. Will go back. Would be a nice place to have lunch with a friend. 2 hours free carpark.

I have used this location for business meetings. Clean and good phone/internet reception. Not the most private of places but good location.

My second home when working away. Spent 30+ nights here in the last 12months and all have been problem free. Rooms are all contemporary, clean and spacious. As hotels go the food is good, if a little pricey when delivered to your room. Gym and parking also available on-site. Short drive from the centre of Reading.

The hotel is fine and everything In this and several other hilton hotels worldwide. Like, they haven't yet upgraded their hotels, the decor is fine but they need new showers here. Its very old school and basic. They had an elephant shower and it's just on that one setting. They should upgrade their showers and give people like 3 different types of shower heads minimum.

Nice accommodations. Service was very good. Very helpful. Not a lot of restaurants or shops close by. Its in a residential area.

We stayed two nights at the Hilton Reading in a family room. The hotel messaged us asking whether we require additional bed before we arrived. Somehow when we checked in it was not there. Once we enquired at the hotel reception they straight away sorted this. The rooms are cleaned daily. We found the staff attentive and courteous. There is a spa, gym and a pool here as well. The hotel is very close to the Reading Oracle Center.

I was at the Hilton Reading for a conference. The conference room was great, the lunch was lovely and access once in the hotel was fine. However, as a wheelchair user, the carpark was difficult to negotiate and the first signs I followed to reception led me to a dead end (fine if you could walk between cars! ) so I had to backtrack and go a different way. Then I was fortunate that another visitor was there to open the door to the lift/stairway entrance as I would have struggled alone. The door to the stairs is not marked as such but thankfully I realised before I struggled with that door too. The lift is tiny and it would have been a squeeze if anyone else had got in the lift with me in my chair.

Room was fine, breakfast was good, pancake making machine was excellent, swimming pool was fine, but the changing room was a bit neglected — not all showers working, soap dispensers empty, floor needed cleaning (gaily and gross). You need £1 for the locker and it's small communal changing room. Staff in all areas polite and friendly.

Rooms are clean and comfortable. Restaurant serves good food, although a bit slow. Health club is nice and staff are friendly and helpful.

Was here yesterday evening for a charity event. I was impressed from start to finish. Decor, staff and food were fantastic. The evening was well hosted and well organised. Highly recommend this hotel if requiring a place to stay in Reading!

Decent hotel. Room was comfortable, if a bit dated. Restaurant served standard hotel fare. Again, solid accommodations, not spectacular.

Went here for baby swimming lessons so only used the pool. Staff were friendly and courteous, we forgot a second towel and the hotel happily provided one, parking was free for anyone using the gym as well as for guests so that was good. The lockers only accept old style pound coins at the mo but they will exchange a new one for a token that works which you can them swap back before you leave so no problems there. Pool was clean and the water was comfortably warm. Will be happy to go back to use the pool again even after the lessons have all been finished.

3 bed family stay for one night. The room and hotel were very nice. The beds were especial comfortable. We didn't get to utilise much of the facilities but two complimentary free drinks at the bar were provided.

Happy to have stayed here. Very short drive to green park (business park). Hotel is quite lovely at night (mid-week). Breakfast had a nice selection and food was fresh. Parking ticket was paid. Also a nice gym on the premises. Will book here moving forward for any business trips.

The hotel is very beautiful, pet friendly and serve one of the best high tea around here. The spa is really nice, especially the sauna and the steam room. When they got to know that today is my Birthday they offer me a slice of cake. The staff is really nice! And the restaurant serve very delicious dishes.

Hubby and I stayed this weekend. We had an excellent stay. Gym and swimming pool were a bonus. Breakfast delicious. Room clean and comfortable. Staff welcoming, cheerful and helpful. Highly recommended. Thank you.

Due to a slight Admin error our room was on booked correctly. So we were upgraded to a suite which was really really nice. Large room plenty of seating, 2 fridges, 2 bathrooms and the breakfast was lovely with plenty of selection and as much as you wanted. Would definitely recommend this place for a stay even if you don't get an upgrade it was lovely all round.

Great customer service. Buffet breakfast is very good quality though queues can be long. Rooms spacious, Wi-Fi works well. No septate walk in shower but disabled rooms are available. Ample secure Parking is free for patrons. Easy use Air-conditioning in rooms.

Visited for a monthly meeting we hold at the hotel. Staff always friendly, food is excellent, especially the cheese cake. Never stayed over so no idea what the rooms are like but for business meetings it's perfect.

Worst stay at this or any Hilton ever. They had a wedding celebration there and put me in a room right above it. I had just flown in from Seattle so was extremely tired. I had to wear earplugs, noise cancelling headphones and put a pillow over my head just to sleep. The room service sucked too! I ordered it at 4:30pm so you would have thought that they would get it right. I am a diamond member and also SPG gold so I stay in a lot of hotels… I won't be rushing back to this one.

My local Hilton Living Well health club is closed for renovation and they recommended Reading as an alternative. It's a smart hotel in a nice (although very urban) area and I was impressed with the convenience of their underground car park. Unfortunately the actual health club is only average with quite small gym compared to Wokingham or Bracknell. There's also no jacuzzi which is a pity. The hotel looks like a great place to stay on business.

I guess in general our stay at the Hilton Reading was well worth the money. We ordered food from the restaurant which was really nice, came served with a decent amount of chips. The room was nice for the price we paid (£50) the only criticism is the plug socket on our desk/sideboard was really loose so if a child got his or her fingers in their, it could have some extremely nasty consequences. Other than that our stay was quite pleasant.

Came here with wife and son absolutely loved it, staff were very friendly, comfortable stay, can't really beat hilton to be honest, good Wi-Fi, good restaurants nearby, retail parks, oracle shopping centre. The area is really safe and quiet. Highly recommended! … Try the hilton at South Quays docklands.

We stayed at the Hilton for a Spa weekend getaway. The check in experience was fast and efficient with lovely service. The rooms were clean, large and well equipped with hairdryer, iron and board, and T. V. The package we had included breakfast and dinner. Breakfast was a buffet style, though you can order eggs how you like them. It has a large selection of hot and cold items and juice. Dinner had a buffet option or al la carte. There was quite a few functions on including a ball, but we didn't feel crowded or that it was overly busy. The pool and sauna were clean and well managed. Don't forget your pound for the locker. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely look to return!

We have swimming lessons at the hotel for our little child. The pool facilities vare good. Occasionally can be very cold but that seems to have been resolved now. Staff always seem very friendly in the bar after when we grab coffee.

Our second visit to Hilton Reading. We have to say that this is the best Hilton we have stayed at in all our visits we always use a Hilton Hotel. The benchmark on our personal ratings is set by Hilton Reading. We will be back again in the new year but in the meantime thanks to you all another great weekend. DR &J R Kent.

My second time coming here for a spa break. Staff are helpful and friendly, hotel is comfortable and clean! only thing missing is a Jacuzzi.

Wonderful and very comfortable hotel.

Stayed here during a week long work trip to Reading. The location is not the greatest as it sits in a quiet residential area, however the hotel itself was very new and nice. Room accommodations were in line with any newer Hilton and the gym facility was impressive for a European hotel. 24 hour exercise room with machines and weights. Also an impeccably clean massive indoor heated pool along with a steam room and sauna. Would stay here again for future Reading trips.

Conveniently located just on the outskirts of town with ample parking. The reception staff were friendly and helpful. The room was small but comfortable. Nice leisure facilities.

Excellent leisure facilities. No noise at all, so I could enjoy a perfect night sleep. The breakfast was rich with plenty of good selection. The staff was friendly and efficient. I will definitely come back again.
