Nice country pub, good bar meals plenty of choice of drinks, eat in or out set in a pleasant location with in the village.

Location isn't everything and unfortunately The Crown has let standards slide. After being reluctantly given one ice cube to deal with a warm bottled cider by a surly barmaid and served pizza with raw dough my patience has run out. Going by the empty seats outside on a q.

Good food, reasonably priced. Good service. The Bread and butter, white chocolate pudding, is to die for.

Nice breakfast but the pub and kitchen were empty when we went in about 10am despite apparently being open from 830am. Had to wander around calling for someone to get a coffee! Food was very nice and reasonably priced but could do with a breakfast menu rather than being told to order what you want without really knowing how much it is going to cost.

Disappointing. Staff were great, timings were good, atmosphere was nice, but the pub was filthy, with sticky drink stains and dead flies all over the window sills. Our table was also really really sticky from years of use and could do with being re-varnished. There were a lot of staff on, which was great as it was clearly the reason service was efficient, but perhaps one of them could have run a cloth around. The food, although absolutely fine, did not warrant the price tag and was on the whole just “fine”. — I resent paying £11.50 for 6 slices of beef tomato and some mozzarella, but no point complaining as the staff don’t set the price. So all in all, friendly staff, but price point is way off. Perhaps better just to stop for a quick drink next time…?

Had a quick tea on a Saturday morning before a walk. Friendly staff, my friends enjoyed a good coffee.

Lovely pub, good hosts, all staff very ki d and friendly. Kirsty made us very welcome. Beautiful little coverted barn Rooms, very clean and roomy. Definitely will be returning. Thankyou all. Steve and Julie Aylott X.

Beautiful country pub very clean child and dog friendly great views set back from main rd. Accomodation out the back 6 ensuite rooms with tv's & Wi-Fi ect.

Nice little pub. Dog friendly as well. Great in summer as the outside park area is fantastic for families.

It's a decent boozer but overpriced, so wouldn't use regularly.

Dropped in for lunch and all was freshly made and delicious. Very welcoming staff and comfortable surroundings. Easy access to Heathrow less than 25 minutes.

Not sure why this place is almost empty every time I go there. Food was good and staff friendly. Will go there again.

Arrived without a booking somewhat damp and grubby from Legoland… received a warm welcome… unlike other local places. Food was fab, staff are helpful and accommodating to picky children… Fab.

Unfortunately misses the mark. The location is excellent and very temping on a warm, sunny day. On such a day, it's just fine to sit outside with a drink, but the food itself and service is below par and delivered completely without interest or passion. With so much excellent competition around (even within walking distance), it's hard to rate this highly at all. The opportunity is definitely there, so let's hope it improves.

Great family friendly pub in Cookham that allow for dogs also. Conveniently located on the Thames Path it is a stone's throw from the Thames and a lovely walk up to Bourne End and Marlow if you fancy going further. There is parking for a small number of cars to the side and there is a beer garden to the side for those summer days. Food is excellent whether it is a quick lunch or a sit down meal in the evening, the staff are helpful and there are good views to be had looking over Cookham moor.

Service was very poor and even though we'd booked a table they didnt really seemed interested in serving us. 5 menus for 13 people. Food is overpriced and poor quality. £13 for a chicken breast salad (lettuce, tomato and spring onion) that had so much balsamic Vinegar on it that it was inedible. A salmon salad with too much sweet chilli sauce that it was also inedible. Clearly a chickens egg and not a duck egg on the Ham. Forgot a childs dinner. Didn't even have a clean jug for some water for the table of 13 which included children. Menu lacks any sort of discription, And no Roast dinner on a Sunday. Toilets pretty grotty, one toilet had no light, one tap didn't work and the other had so much pressure you got soaked when you washed your hands. And the drinks are very expensive.
