Just called in for a drink civilised, lovely staff, sea views.

This is our 1st visit to the Marine hotel and will defernately return. Great location, lovely spacious rooms, lovely food and especially lovely Management and staff.

Such a beautiful hotel. We had a wonderful experience and throughly enjoyed our nye stay. Food was great and the family room with the most wonderful view was thank you all.

We had a deluxe double room (not what we'd booked, but that's a different saga). Room was a very small room, very shabby, dated with coordinated decor. Spa bath wedged in a very small bathroom. Curtains around bay window a foot off the ground making the room very light at night. The only saving grace and the reason we still stayed was the sea view. Very disappointed for a special occasion. Didnt have breakfast as couldn't part with more money.

I so wish you can see what your room is like before booking, It was nothing like the pictures on line. Very dated, I would never have stayed here, the room for 3 people was awful, they had a double and a single crammed into this tiny room, it was awful, old windows, even the curtains was blowing, it was really cold, the radiator didn't work,. Hard beds. The worst nights sleep all of us have ever had. Even after complaining to staff, they didn't care,. Totally unhelpful. Breakfast was ok.

Spa is lovely and really nice. Standard of bedroom could be better.

New Spa is beautiful Sauna, Steam Room, Heated Loungers, Jacuzzi & Foot Spa. Great value for money — we had a lovely time relaxing.

The apartment we had was very overpriced for the fact that the exit emergency lighting was on night and day making sleep difficult. Also the breakfast was variable day to day sometimes really good other days ok. This can also can be said for the service as room service didn't happen unless you asked for it.

Boutique Hotel really nice. Food excellent if you can grab a seat outside sipping a glass of wine even better. Lovely coastal views.

Nice enough room with sea view. Luckily noticed that legs on window arm chair were broken before sitting on it! When we moved it one leg just dropped off! Reported to reception and it was replaced asap. Bed was comfy. Room was clean and nicely decorated. One-ply toilet tissue… didn't think that they even made that anymore! Great breakfast. Love Aberystwyth.

It could be so much better. Locked fire exits and fire doors propped open. The newly refurbished bedroom was not painted inside the en-suite plus occasional disorganized breakfasts after a large coach party were present. Having said that the breakfast food was great but alternative choices to the cerial and cooked breakfast was limited. Location is of course brilliant and the rear area much better once the builders work is complete.

It was okay a few years back. Got booked for two rooms somehow, and staff were incredibly rude and don't want to help. Don't go there, just book the Premier Inn.

Breakfast was really tasty and view was amazing. Rooms ok, bathrooms need attention (loose fittings). Located next to student accommodation, so we were woken at 6 am by them partying.

Conference food not great, staff were helpful to the limits of what was available but organisation want great.

Old fashioned, excellent breakfast but minimal staff. Parking is limited. If there is a function on the bar fills up very quickly.

We visited the Marine Hotel for one night on Tuesday 10/4/18. We booked the room the day before, requested a sea view room for four people, two adults and two children. There was no mention on the phone that we wouldn't be able to see the sea due to scaffolding, nor did the person on the other end of the call explain that the hotel is actually several houses and they are not linked internally so a walk up the street to get breakfast was both a surprise and frustrating. The pictures posted in this review are of the scaffolding, the very dirty windows (internally) not outside! There is a picture of a single pillow on a sofa bed, there were no other spare pillows so my eldest son used his coat. The picture of a purple bed throw has orange stains on it, don't know what they are nor do I want to know! The bathroom in the room was super clean and so were the communal areas leading to the room. At the cost of £125 for one night I was not impressed! I didn't lodge a complaint to the hotel as I didn't want to confront the woman on the front desk who hadn't even asked if we had enjoyed our stay! We only had two days off with our children and did not want to ruin them with an argument on the second day.

Great place well kept. Did not inform us about the scaffolding. Bit did not disappoint.

Yeah it's a hotel, there are better and cheaper near by. Rooms are comfortable and clean. Avoid the breakfast it's supprisngly bad. The bar is very expensive but the staff are friendly.

Comfortable rooms, food and service very good, friendly helpful staff. Prime position on the seafront, not too far to walk into town. Would stop again when in the area.

Really enjoyed my short stay here room was lovely with sea view and a wonderful Jacuzzi bath.

Very small rooms dirty spiders on the walls, pay 90£ for duble bed and actualy they give us a rubbish room with 2beds and 2metrres. Cheep electric hitting poor conditio n.

We had our wedding reception here in August, all the staff were fab, nothing was too much hassle they were so easy going, we also come here for food regularly as the food is outstanding!

Really nice staff and food. The hotel itself is clean but a bit old. A few drafts and it took the shower a while to warm up. Once it did it was fine.

Beautiful meal, great choice of food with five different meats to choose from with in the carvery. Along with probably about ten different types of puddings. Oh and can't forget you could have as many servings as you wanted.

Stayed here several times. Wonderful staff. Great breakfast. Large rooms with spa bath. Incredible views. Great disabled ♿ access. Parking. Perfect location close to everything but not too noisy.

Lived in aber 32years and this was the 1st time going for food here, I have to say it was lush! Great staff and a lovely welcome.

Easy checkin, clean super friendly can't complain. Only thing is the Rooms are just a little small and not enough to move around in.

The food was very nice and tasty, but not for the price paid. The staff was very helpful but did forget to do some of the simple tasks.

We use this Hotel quite a lot because the Staff are Friendly the Rooms are neat and tidy and always a fantastic Breakfast, would recommend to anyone and a Friend has been and really enjoyed it thanks very much all at The Marine.

Fabulous Sunday lunch. The deserts you can have as many as you can eat though I could manage only one sadly. It is a "pigs paradise". Lots of choices for the starters and carvery. The staff are always very helpful and so friendly nothing is too much trouble.

The location is really great, the rooms very small, nonetheless for a love getaway It is the perfect place! I recommend the little bigger suite, with hot tub and spectacular bay window on the sea.

The second time we have visited this Hotel for a meal. Excellent service and fabulous food! Very friendly staff, especially the restaurant manager. Very nice manner with the children. X.

Excellent Hotel — high standard of service and bedrooms.

I have stayed at this hotel a couple of times and found it to be pretty outdated and poor value for money. The shower is a dribble and cold unless you get up at the crack of dawn and the Wi-Fi is VERY patchy (I think it only works if you happen to have the room above reception). Last time I stayed there it was really cold so I went to ask for an extra blanket at reception. I was given a grubby duvet with no cover. The cleanliness is passable although you do find the odd random hair here and there. One thing to be aware of — this hotel has ALOT of functions. When I stayed there was a party going on until 3am. I had to get up for work at 7am and I was absolutely driven to distraction — when I got up to complain I found there was no-one overseeing the party and the lobby was full of drunken party-goers. Not good. Oh and make sure you take all your belongings with you when you leave because even if it is not of any value you can be assured that it won't be there later.

Staff are very helpful and friendly. Its a big hotel, that said its clean and well maintained. Food was generally good, but it does depend which chef is on as to the quality. Breakfasts are faultless. The views from the rooms are great. Prices are good too. Definitely going again.

Dirty, poor service, lost bookings, dirty (previous guests towels, sheets, hairs and faecal matter) and no functioning internet connections. Only the location is good.

I never stayed at the hotel … but I worked there as a DJ back in the late nineties… great atmosphere even on weekdays… and open til one should go to bed anyway… weird things happen here…
