The food and the service were very nice.

Just had a couple of days at The Richmond & we thoroughly enjoyed it. The spacious room was clean & the bed was comfortable. View from the bay window was fabulous. The staff were helpful & friendly & the food was delicious. We wanted a couple of days of rest & relaxation watching the waves & that’s exactly what we got. Wouldn’t hesitate to return or recommend.

If you are looking for a warm and friendly place to stay, this is it. From the warm welcome when we arrived, until checking out, it was a pleasurable experience. From the staff that bent over backwards to cater for anything that you needed, to our room which was spacious, clean and tidy, and a very comfortable bed.
Table service was top class and every need catered for, plus the food was excellent. It had been a last minute booking, but we hope to visit again very soon.

What a fabulous find! Comfortable rooms, delicious breakfasts and the most welcoming staff. Thank you for taking a genuine interest in our stay. Would wholeheartedly recommend 👍

Excellent location, great staff always friendly and courteous. Full breakfast is superb cooked to perfection by the owner Richard. We have been using the Richmond Hotel for over 12 years. On occasion 3 times per year.

Wonderful overnight stay here for work the next day. Spotlessly clean room with fantastic views, very comfy bed. Staff were so lovely, polite and kind, couldn’t do enough for me. The real gem here is the food, the most delicious sea bass freshly cooked with the most perfectly prepared vegetables. Not soaked in oil or butter, the cooking really stood up for itself. I shall be returning for work and pleasure. A delightful little find.

Such a nice place to stay when visiting Aberystwyth. Food /breakfast excellent.

Right on the Promenade, facing the sea. Really short walk to Constitution Hill rail station and centre of town. Spacious rooms and ample parking at the back.

I've spent many happy family holidays in Aberystwyth as a child and I'm so pleased we decided to stay at The Richmond by chance, a lovely "family run" feel to the place, lovely breakfast and a warm Welsh welcome. Had three visits so far and looking forward to the next.

Nice hotel with great view to the sea. If possible ask for room with seaview. People are friendly, they offer english breakfast and others. Rooms are clean.

What a wonderful room. The hotel has an old style of decor, but unlike some I have seen it is very well kept. The carpet was so thick I felt I should take my shoes off as I went to find my room. Nice toiletries and absolutely amazing food. I was too full in the morning to try a cooked breakfast. It was lovely to fall asleep to the sound of the waves after sitting by the window reading. I was here for business but would happily come back.

Very warm comfortable. Polite and friendly staff you could not be any closer to the sea all good the wife and I loved it also saw the starlings mermeration on the pier spectacular. 10 out 10.

Our second stay at The Richmond didn't disappoint, lovely room with sea view, very comfortable bed, really good choice at breakfast, highly recommend and looking forward to our next visit…

Wonderful location on the sea front. Great staff who were friendly, knowledgeable and welcoming. Easy access from the town and main roads. Wonderful views. Room was clean, tidy and the bed was comfy with a large bathroom and shower that you can move around in. Only 1 small downside is that it isn't suitable for disabled people as no level access and no lift.
Would recommend this hotel to anyone and will definitely be back.

A lovely hotel on the promenade, I stayed B & B, great breakfast, lovely friendly staff and a nice room with a really comfortable bed. The main reason I stayed here was that it provided secure covered storage for my motorcycle during my stay. I'll be back.

My room was pretty small but for only one night it would have been fine if it wasn't so hot. Even with the window wide open and sleeping on top of the covers I still woke up with a migraine, wich wasn't the best when I had an exam at 9am that morning :/ Location is great, only a few minutes walk into the centre of aber, they do have a car park but it's very small.

Very friendly hotel. Ask for a 2nd floor room facing the sea — amazing view. Bandstand is a hundred yards to the left, castle remains, cliff railway etc easy walks along the front. Room and ensuite recently decorated and clean. Shower works well but the water is quite soft so allow time to rinse the soap off! No lift, so stairs to upper floors might be an issue.

Comfortable hotel. Room 15 fantastic sea view. Rooms clean and bed comfy. Superb location with carpark to rear. Lots of choice for breakfast and tasted delicious. Friendly, helpful staff. Would recommend.

Lovely hotel on the seafront. Had fabulous room overlooking the sea on 3rd floor, absolutely loved it. There were even 2 chairs & a small table in the window to be able to sit and enjoy the view. It was worth climbing the flight of stairs & we had some much needed excercise! Breakfast delicious, loads of choice and all the staff we met were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely return :-)

This was a last minute booking for a weekend away, I trawled through other accommodation in the area on the internet for a Sea view hotel, but kept comming back to this one.
So glad I decided on it. Great from, easy parking, friendly reception, clean and tidy, lovely room, and one of the best breakfasts in a long time. So much choice of fruit!

Just spent 2 evenings at this hotel and couldn't fault anything. The rooms were spotless and spacious. Staff were so friendly. I will definitely be returning.

Rooms were clean if not a little out dated. Beds very comfy and views from the front are breathtaking. The staff are so friendly and nice. Breakfast was very good indeed. Prices were very reasonable indeed considering the quality of our stay.

Fantastic! Very impressed with the location, staff, and the excellent breakfast. The room was lovely, very clean, and plenty of towels, tea and coffee etc. Very good value.

Beer was good. Staff were friendly. We had a buffet which was great but the quiche was still frozen.

A clean and comfortable hotel in a seafront location. Excellent food and friendly staff make it an ideal place to stay.

Four night stay, 29th/3rd October. Nice Owners. Staff were courteous and pleasant. Breakfast food is well cooked, tasted good and well presented. Wish that there had been greater choice for Dinner, although not complaining about the quality We made a mistake when we booked, and thought, via the Hotel web site, that it is/was a 4* Hotel. Never stayed at a "Guest House" before now, However, we've no complaints, and have no problems with endorsing this place to anyone wanting a short break. If we were to visit Aberystwyth again, wouldn't hesitate to stay at the Richmond.
