I had the steak and ale pie which was excellent. The staff were very friendly and the prices very reasonable. I would thoroughly recommend this place.

Have stayed at the overlander as a key worker over lock down. Rooms are great, food is also good and at the moment delivered to your room. Had a great stay and would have no problem recommending or staying with karren again.

Just returned from another fantastic 3 night stay at The New Overlander Inn where Karen and her staff cannot do enough to please you. Everyone so friendly and helpful. Fabulous food as always and great selection of gins. Room comfortable with great shower. Have been visiting this establishment since 2009 and it never ceases to fail. Can’t wait for our next visit. Social distancing guidelines in place and were always adhered to. Great work by all. See you next year!

Really delicious home cooked Sunday roast. Best bit was that the veg wasn’t overcooked like some places. Lovely!
Just beware that the contactless payment doesn’t work due to poor signal.
Since COVID we’ve only used our phones to pay contactless so we didn’t have a bank card with us and had to pay through PayPal but all was good in the end!

Absolutely amazing breakfast excepting clean, lovely and comfortable furnishings and very friendly service we only discovered this place on passing and took the opportunity in giving it a try and WOW we’d definitely be visiting it again when in wales.

Super friendly staff — very helpful. Despite a road out the front & the rail line out the back a surprisingly quiet spot only 5 minutes drive from Tenby & a 10 minute stroll to the beach.
Comfy well appointed room & new ensuite and the BEST included breakfast.
Dinner was also excellent — fresh tasty food cooked to chef standards by the owner.

Lovely meal with my 94yr old Grandmother on Wednesday. Got carried away talking to the owner, that I'm really sorry we forgot to leave a tip. Only realised when we were nearly back in Tdnby! The meal was absolutely gorgeous and all homemade. Thank you. We will be back.

Found this place by accident nearly 10 years ago and have returned every year since. Incredible food and brilliant staff. Can’t wait for our next visit in 2 weeks.

Excellent, friendly service. Spotless, comfortable rooms. The owners took huge trouble to accommodate our vegan diets, creating entirely new meals especially for us. Very good value for money, would heartily recommend them, and would gladly return in the future. Liz.

I can't praise this place enough. A lovely welcome and gorgeous food. I've been coming here for many years and the service is always fantastic. Nothing is too much trouble. This year I enquired about a dish that had been taken off the menu afew years ago. To my delight chef remembered it and offered to cook it specially on a return visit. It was just as I remembered it. Thank you so much!

My wife and I have had a fantastic week here. The staff are very friendly and helpful couldn't do enough for you. The room was clean and tidy and you had a good choice for breakfast in the evening the restaurant food was very tasty. Thanks Karen Rob and staff for all your hard work in making our stay memorable.

Only 3 stars but let me explain… The hotel staff were fantastic… friendly, chatty and couldn't do enough for us. The food they made was amazing, tastiest burger I've tasted in a very long time. Not too far from tenby either The problem was the hotel is situated RIGHT NEXT to a train track one side and the main road on the other… I mean they are literally yards apart so trying to sleep past 4.30 in the morning is impossible due to the noise from the traffic (its a main road) and the trains run until about 11pm and when I say the train passing makes the room vibrate im not even joking… its that close Also this may be a personal preference thing but the mattress was incredibly uncomfortable as were the pillows. The room and en suite was extremely clean and tidy but we couldn't honestly get any sleep due to the noise and how uncomfortable we were. It was a real shame as I say but the noise interference is nothing that can change and it might not bother some people but not ideal if you're away from home for a break.

Kids eat free, grownups pay twice what their dinner's worth. Staff were polite and courteous though. Edit: Sorry £1 for kids' food, not free. Definitely haven't got the wrong place. I guess things may have improved by now though. It's been a while.

We had a lovely meal at the New Overlander last night. The Cajun chicken (curry) was delicious and my partner was also impressed with his Steak & Ale pie. Neither of us could resist a dessert after such a lovely meal and the sticky toffee pudding didn't disappoint, though we did ask for an extra dollop of ice cream which made it to die for. Lovely lady owner serving us. Good home cooking at its best and liked the way the pub/restaurant was furnished too. We will return!

What a great place, really clean and the rooms are excellent. The staff are friendly, attentive and very hardworking. Food is excellent.

Worst place I have ever eaten! with poor service to boot, on holiday? dont waste your breath or money here, looking for good food head to the kookoo bar nearby saundersfoot (from a local), this place is with out doubt the worst place in Pembrokeshire you will ever eat the food is cooked poorly possibly microwaved and if you complain about your dish because its either cold or not what you ordered you will receive a hasty and nasty response from the head of house probably the lady owner who blatantly doesn't give two hoots about the Establishment as long as the moneys rolling in.

Clean rooms at a great price. Nice location for a stroll into Tenby. Only downside is that it's on a busy road. Friendly owners offer a great service and tasty breakfast.

Just had a lovely meal here. We had over lander mushrooms starter & lamb Sunday roast. The meal was excellent and the staff were polite & friendly.

Food was brill with a nice view.

Just returned back from a weekend break with the family. Had 4 out of the 5 rooms available. The rooms were lovely and clean and well laid out. The rooms are all on one level which is great for my elderly, less mobile mum. Andy the owner was very attentive and helpful, and nothing was too much trouble. The food was excellent, and when mum asked if she could could only have a small portion this was not a problem — have been to restaurants in the past where this wouldn't have been entertained. Both Andy and his daughter Nicola couldn't have made us feel more welcome. A fantastic place to stay and we would definitely recommend it. Thanks Andy and Nicola for a brilliant birthday weekend.

We had a very nice family meal here. The service was a little slow but the food was delicious. My wife had a very nice salmon steak and I had a large Cajun chicken breast. The children had kids meals for £1 during the deal evening period. The staff worked hard but were welcoming. We'd definitely go again if we were staying in the area.

My husband and I have just spent 4 nights at the New Overlander and thoroughly enjoyed it, the staff (all family) were lovely and helpful, a very nice room pleasantly decorated and the food was excellent, we will definitely stay there again next time we are in West Wales. Thankyou all for a most pleasant holiday.
