Love stopping at the Mayfair use the coffee shop a lot all very friendly staff and gym and swimming pool very good like the staff
And all value for money.

Clearly experienced serving large groups quickly, meals are delivered very rapidly in the evening. The food was still tasty though and there’s lots of choices at breakfast.
Bedroom furniture is old fashioned but the bed was comfortable and clean. Lots of noise from other rooms and corridor though.

Absolutely excellent for a three star hotel.

Lovely hotel, friendly waiters especially nicholas and Baracka I think its spelt, clean room although rather hot, the facilities are brilliant and the free Wi-Fi is a bonus, will definitely be staying here next year, please pass on my compliments to the waiters named above and to all the others but then especially.

A really nice place to stay the food and staff are highly recommended rooms are spacious especially the bathrooms the swimming pool jacuzzi and steam room are ideal not used much but very clean no problems at all highly recommended.

Large Hectic hotel. Dining room experience stressful people sit packed together like sardines. Waiter service at table is rushed to say least. All food pre prepared a lot of it just frozen stuff. The courses are shipped in front of you no time to digest a course. Rooms not very clean and very very hot. No air-conditioning but small fan provided. Beach for swimming is a good 20 minutes bus ride away. The quay and town centre about 15 — 20 minutes walk. Public transport by bus is accessed from town bus station.

This would be a great hotel if you are without children but even their welcome card that you receive at check in says we welcome children but please keep them calm and quiet and off of the dance floor after 9.30. Since the entertainment doesn't start until 9.00 that gives little time to play. There is no air con and the rooms are very hot.

Very pleasant stay for a week on what was our first trip to Jersey. Made good use of gym and pool and the staff were very attentive, particularly Nicholas and Leticia who served us in the dining room. Rooms were rather warm and could have benefited from aircon — but it was unseasonably warm. The staff were excellent in dealing with some very challenging guests — one wonders how they survive when left to their own devices. Well situated to walk into town for attractions, bus station etc.

Lovely stay at the Mayfair in Jersey. Good choice of food. Staff very pleasant and helpful especially our waiter at mealtimes Manuel, really lovely gentleman with a wonderful sense of humour. Would go back there but St Helier is so busy now I.

Just had a small meeting in this hotel they have a room where you can hold meetings with seating to about a hundred people. They also have a small bar in the same room. There are also other function food available all at a good price.

Just arrived home from a week at this hotel. This hotel is super. The staff were really friendly and helpful at all times. The entertainment was great. Food was good and plentiful. I can't wait to return. Thanks to all at the Mayfair. ☺

Absolute joke. Paid £125 per night for a family room (room 135) on the 1st floor which was directly above the 1960s tribute band in the function room below us! The band played until 23:12 I asked to see the manager but he refused to come to my room to hear it or even talk about and said I must see Mr S Webb in the morning. Are they nuts putting a family room (with bunk beds) above a full on band! Shocking absolutely shocking. Won't be here again and couldn't recommend.

Clean and pleasant in that way that the 1980's brought on. Very hot rooms. Good facilities.

Lovely hotel. Very clean. Staff were most helpfull. Breakfast menu is very good. Some evening meals were a bit of a let down.

Arrive Sat. Now mon. One complaint beds very hard. Can't complain about any thing eles food good staff lovely. Pool and gym all nice and clean my room large clean lovely walk in shower. Plenty of car park spaces. In brilliant location. Few min from shopping area. Great designer shops. Going round island today in car X write more end of holiday.

This is a three-star hotel in St. Helier. Great amenities and very comfortable. Parking lot is a bit difficult to negotiate in some areas, but overall, a good place to stay if that's what you're looking for.

Good rooms, upgraded, but restaurant is like a giant dining hall, and not exactly haute cuisine. Good for a 3 star hotel.

The rooms are not very large. Food is good. Huge fitness room, decent sized pool conveniently located to the city.

Good quality budget hotel, only had breakfast there, “not so good” on first day but the staff where friendly and would adjust to suit your taste.

Good value for money on a music weekend in February. Excellent service at dinner by our waiter. Stayed here before would highly recommend for value for money.

Very clean and tidy, good service, breakfast really nice (but toast was sometimes cold)

Unfortunately it is now 21:30hrs and my rooms is directly above where a band are playing what must be hits from the 70’s. If I was here alone it would be bad! However worse is that we have booked a family room due to having two young children ages 9 and 12. Now this room was not a last minute booking where they had to squeeze us in it was booked and paid for last October. So 6 months ago they could see from the booking that we had a family room with young children and it never occurred to them not to put us over what can only be described as a mediocre 70’s tribute band.
To be honest I could not suggest this as a family hotel at all in anyway shape or form.

A lovely example of a British resort hotel. Nice room and facilities, friendly staff, good breakfast, music bar, coffee shop. The well equipped health centre and pool are a special treat. All at a reasonable price. Menu and a la carte dining available. Parking available. 5mins walking to shops, bars, and restaurants. Some buses pass by. Parking available but not used by us.

A hotel of this 3-star standing has to communicate with people with a language close enough to them as France is only 1 hour boat roughly. I find that a bit haughty. An E. U adapter to recharge PC, phone, tablet, etc… would be a big plus because not everyone is English. If not just communicate when the breakfast time is passed, allows people to understand that in fact it may be because of the time difference that they are late…
If not to go on the Internet, once exiting the site of the hotel, almost all sites like ebay, Amazon, PayPal, are censored! It's a pity that you can lose your phone and anticipate on the return, in order to buy a phone, you have to get out of the hotel site logically. I mean, I think. Otherwise an unpleasant noise in the bathroom a few seconds after turning on the bathroom light. Otherwise everything is fine. Very constructively.

Very well located in the center of Saint Helle, close to Bath Street and King Street. The rooms are very nice and the room is great. The pool is very nice and well heated (30 °). The person is courteous and helpful.

Staff very rude in restaurant. Removing plates before your finished. Leaning across you to serve others. A smile is an easy expression, try it. Had no tea /coffee in room since first day, been here 4 so far. Very noisy during the night with doors banging. Can't leave windows open if your staying at the front due to noise level from cars. Still have 3 more days, can't wait to get home.

Enjoyed our stay, regardless of the weather. Found the room comfortable, conveniently located within the town centre. Needed soundproofing! Breakfast service was excellent …

This was our first visit to Jersey and the hotel made it for us, situated within easy walking distance to the sea and the shopping centre. The hotel was very cosy and rooms were clean and had all the little extras. Both breakfast and evening meals were of a good quality well prepared and adequate. We have booked up again for 2018.

I stayed here, when I first came to Jersey to work. I ended up staying for 16 months!. Love this hotel. Met lots of people who have ended living here, like myself. Staff. Management 1st class. Rooms n service couldn't fault. Home from home. We have a Northern Soul weekend every year in February. Which I lock up my own place every year and book in to the hotel. Love the place. Short 3 day break in Jersey 2c friends stopped at the Mayfair hotel excellent lovely twin room very clean good food friendly staff and competitive prices 5min walk from centre of St helier.

Great function rooms. Drinks are a little pricey but pretty standard for hotel bars. Host some excellent events and very modern lobby and features.

Very central hotel. Lots going on at night. Good bar and coffee shop. Decor is a bit tired and breakfast service is a bit slow. Not a buffet breakfast. No toiletries or safe in the room.

Great hotel We spent 3 days relaxing the staff very helpful a superb swimming pool and especially a good breakfast English in the morning that happiness.

Considering this hotel is rated 3-Star, was mightily impressed by the high standards. Hotel is well sited (5 mins from town centre) is very clean, spacious and well equipped. Bedroom and bathroom especially, immaculate. Staff (receptionists, waiters, cleaners, bar staff) friendly, courteous and helpful. Only slight criticism of bedroom is that it overlooked a busy road — a bit noisy when windows were open (often needed as room was very warm) Other than that, a first class establishment!

Just back from a week here. Totally enjoyed it. We went b and b and evening meal. Food was fabulous and lots of it. Only downside was we had to ask for toilet roll and tea bags for the room. Waiting staff were fantastic especially Rui xx.

I could not believe the comments Maynard smith said about the Mayfair running it down to the lowest if she wanted 5 star she could always pay MORE this hotel the (Mayfair) is rated 3 star as it is my wife and myself throughly enjoyed our week here spacious bathroom having space to put toiletries something other hotels could do even in 4star hotels we have stayed have not had the standard of the Mayfair all in all spotlessly clean as was everywhere in the hotel we are seasoned travellers regards food could not fault it varied menu all week cooked to a High standard staff were very helpful and friendly to anyone reading Maynard smiths review please ignore them we have had a most enjoyable week here with the hotel hospitality lastly my wife and l would like give very special praise and a BIG THANK YOU to our waiter FERNANDO who was brilliant and a throughly nice man.

Lovely hotel, good food & very friendly staff. All in all a nice hotel & would definitely come back here again, only drawback was we requested adjoining roomson a low floor as my wife cannot use lifts, so we were put on the 3rd floor & my sister in law was on the 1st floor. This was requested when we booked with the travel agents (Thomsons) some 3 months ago.

Couldn't fault the cleanliness of the hotel. Rooms too hot! Room lovely size and bright, would've been nice to have had fridge and safe in room. The waiter we had at meal times was absolutely brilliant Orlando (elvis). Entertainment was poor and felt hotel was mainly oap's. Would not recommend to families. Would not visit this hotel again.

It really depends what you're after with your hotel. After having a mix up with the hotels and rooms and having to move here for 3 days, I found that this 3 star hotel is not up to the same standard as others in the area… Firstly, I will say the rooms are nice and the bathroom is big. The overall look of the hotel is pleasant. However the dinning room and the food isn't at a high standard. It's not freshly cooked and the atmosphere of the dinning room isn't very nice — it feels rushed and unwelcoming. This is partly to do with the overall look of the room — it looks cheap and things are just covered over and the soup is kept out in the open. In addition the food isn't very nice, and this is made worse by the staff who deal things carelessly and don't listen to you. The way the dinner service is delivered isn't very friendly and is a rushed hassle. There was only one staff member who seems to care about how he spoke and how he placed things on plates. The pool facilities are something to be ashamed of. The pool, although the area looks nice, the pool was not heated as described and the jacuzzi was cold (but children under 12 aren't allowed in because of the high temperatures). Children aren't allowed in the pool after 6:30, which makes it not family friendly. The only positive thing I have to say is the steam room is enjoyable. I would suggest going to the monterey hotel up the road as this give you much better services.

Reasonable pricing structure a charming hotel clean cut interior. Entertaining acts in the evening large dining room. A swimming pool at the rear of the hotel. All in all good value.

Very nice hotel it's our second time we have been here the food is very good and the rooms are very comfortable with entertainment in the evening.

Upn arrival I could see this was a lovely hotel that prided itself on a clean and smart appearance. The staff were friendly and the rooms were spacious enough. Beds were comfy and I slept very well. Charging sockets above the bedside table were an absolute dream! Lift was a little slow but the stairs were easily accessible and not torture to use. The shower was an open area of the bathroom which meant my colleague did flood the bathroom with his shower but we made a towel Dam and my shower was a lot less messy! Overall a great stay, would highly recommend.

The hotel has a exercise room, a pool, a sauna, a pool, free Wi-Fi. The rooms were clean and tidy. There's a kettle and all the tea painting. Spacious room. Good breakfast.

Just had a lovely week at the mayfair hotel. Staff nice and friendly food good and weather great. First time for me and definitely want to go back.

Pool closes too early 7:15, but that's the only negative that I have found.

Great hotel and cheap to boot, right in the centre of the St Helier near the nice bars and shops.

Surprise break away for our wedding anniversary absolutely perfect in every way definitely come back.

I feel so sorry for people that think our older people should not go on holiday remember these people are the ones who worked for pennys and have had to wait until they wereolder to enjoy life not like some young ones who had it easier let them enjoy and maybe if u inteacted with them a little more youd enjoy there company.
