Had a family birthday meal for my husband for 13 of us ranging from a toddler upwards. The staff were very friendly and attentive, the food was excellent and there was a relaxed atmosphere. After the meal, when the rain stopped, some were able to go in the swimming pool which completed the afternoon. Will definitely return, thank you 😊

We stayed in Room 41 with a sun deck overlooking the gardens, with patio doors allowing the sunshine to flood in to our room. The food and drink were excellent and the staff gave 5 star service. This hotel is a jewel waiting to be discovered by more islanders! Our staycation was so relaxing we’ll be booking again.

Takeaway food was fabulous. Would highly recommend. Staff go out of their way to help. 10/10

I met here for a meeting and afternoon tea. On arrival I was met by two lovely male staff members who were very polite and showed me to a quiet area which we had pre booked. Staff were very helpful and service was excellent. Afternoon tea was beautiful and enough for four people (only two of us)
I was late getting there due to a delayed flight but this wasn’t a problem for them. Highly recommended!

Stayed for two nights the hotel is just amazing the rooms were lovely and spacious, breakfast was great and we ate both nights in the bar area food was all good and hot. All the staff was very friendly will definitely be coming back.

Good selection at breakfast, very attentive waiting staff.
We had a meal one evening in the restaurant and was well presented and tasty, again very attentive waiting staff.
The restaurant and bar area has been refurbished to a high standard with great attention to detail, with matching decor and modern bright colours.
We were in Room 11 and was well equipped with new furnishings, fittings, very modern
We dealt with Uly on reception and he was a very welcoming and knowledgeable young chap.
In my opinion, he is a great asset to the business.
We will definitely be back.
We would like to see the hotel upgraded to 4 star

Such a fantastic place to stay staff were so attentive without being overbearing. The food in their restaurant was outstanding and very good value for money, the swimming pool was also very warm to swim in even though the weather wasn't particular warm for the middle
of August. We would definitely stay again if we were to return to Guernsey.

Stayed here in November 2018 after a very bad start to our arrival in Guernsey. The manager was amazing he so looked after us. The staff were all helpful and couldn’t do enough for us. Hotel was beautifully decorated, very chic and clean and food in restaurant was amazing. We will be back for the Pool party.

We have stayed for two nights. Rooms are beautifully clean. The menu is fairly basic but the food was excellent. My only criticism would be the outside area where the gardens could do with a bit of a tidy.

We’ve just come back after a 4 night stay with our dog. The hotel and rooms a clean. Good amenities in room. Tea and coffee making facilities, WIFi and air conditioning. The staff are really friendly and helpful. We didn’t eat at the restaurant, but will next time we visit. Our breakfast was faultless every day. Was very pleasantly surprised.

1st Experience since they have revamped. Felt very welcome as soon as we arrived. Food and service was Excellent, Relaxing atmosphere, great choice of wine and food, Not rushed for our orders. Will certainly go back and maybe even do an overnight stay. Thank you for a great service

My family and I came here for a birthday celebration for myself and my older sister as we have birthdays very close together, as well as celebrating my parents wedding anniversary as they stayed there on their honeymoon so we thought we would go back. However the starters were terrible oysters that in had were cold and rubbery and I tried my sister's scotch egg which was horrible. Not only that but the food came before the drinks. We decided to stay and give the mains a chance however for the prices they were for basic pub grub is outrageous. The only reason I am giving this 2 stars is because of the fun waiters who tried to make the evening as pleasant as possible even with the bad food. The menu was very basic and didn't have much variety. The waiters were also very generous enough to give me and. My sister a card and some free cake because of how bad it was. My sister also praised them as they gave us a free bottle of Proseco (I don't drink alcohol so it didn't change my view. I expected more from this place. My family and I were also killing ourselves laughing after the waitress who originally greeted us said it was very busy and that's why the drinks were so slow. We were the only people in the restaurant.

Clean, comfortable, decent food, decent bar, friendly staff. Three star hotel. No complaints.

Redecorated at the start of the summer and the changes not only look great but have given the hotel a lovely character. Dip and dine is great for the family.

Loved the whole renovation and well updated in all areas, fantastic food. Place needed an update, rooms in high standard friendly staff.

Excellent hotel. Friendly and professional and only opened for business one week ago. They were very accommodating regards our dietary needs and we will definitely be back either later this year, or next.

They don't do staff training which spoilt our stay, mattress felt like sack of rocks.

Comfortable enough, if a little dated, with a noticeably older clientele.

Poor food quality, poor decor to room, bathroom needs improvement/updating. On a plus side, ALL staff are helpfull & understanding, grounds & facilities are OK. Edited review to original… they offered me a different updated room, fantastic decor throughout.

Super friendly, an old fashioned hotel, so not a travel inn and all the better for it!

Over night stay in this hotel The staff were very friendly and helpful and the hotel is set in beautiful grounds It is an old building so although the rooms were not modern they had everything we needed and ere clean. Lovely atmosphere in the restaurant, good food and prices. Breakfast was outstanding. They are currently building a barbecue area next to the swimming pool so the four of us that stayed there are planning to return when this is complete Excellent hotel.

I stayed here for 2 months, the staff have been absolutely fabulous, friendly, helpful and very accommodating. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the food is wonderful. I highly recommend this hotel.

This is a lovely comfortable hotel with superb cuisine.

We stayed here in early June this year. We found the staff friendly and helpful. The rooms were nicely appointed, very clean. Food was excellent. Bus stop near by takes you to St Peter Port from where you can access the whole island — no need to hire a car.

I stayed there last year with my family. Lovely hotel, fantastic friendly and helpful staff. So good we are going back again this year. Nice rooms, great food and a lovely pool.
