I will put aside my reservations to post fantastic reviews because when we have attempted to make a return there was no space “at the inn. ” However, I will make an exception this time because Marianne and her team were the warmest and most caring hosts we have experienced in our four decades in visiting the islands & our condo was sublime — just what the doctor wishes after over a year being in the trenches. Thank you so much!

Sick of being quarantined at home? Consider Whalers Cove. After receiving my negative results under the "safe travels" program, I completed a voluntary 5 day self-quarantine at Whalers Cove post flight. So easy and comfortable! Staff stocked the refrigerator and put me in a beautiful suite with an outdoor lanai. Great Wi-Fi access for work, and 5 peaceful days listening to the sweet sounds of the ocean. I took the voluntary re-test in Lihue on day 5. Also so quick and easy. Drove up, got a nasal swab, waited 15 minutes and received my 2nd negative results. Highly recommend Whalers Cove for their friendly staff, stellar service and beautiful accommodations. Worth every penny!

Stunning views. Private private private and quiet quiet quiet. Did I say it was private and quiet?! Seemed like having my own slice of paradise! Condo was immaculate and so well decorated! Only negative was no A/C. There was a wonderful breeze blowing most of the time, but because of the location of the condo and the way the wind was actually blowing, I never really felt the breeze when I was inside. All of the positives made the heat bearable. I would definitely go back. Sunrise and sunset were amazing too!

We have owned our beautiful 3 bedroom condo since 1991. Parents loved this place ❤️. Sad to sell now but I will be back. Aloha.

Great place for a sea front vacation, most units are privately owned, and are vacation rentals thru different rental companies. We stayed top floor before and on the ground floor level. The are all differently furnishings, owners person taste. The ground floor one it nice, just slide your doors and you step out on he grass and walk straight to the swimming pool.

Whalers cove is amazing. If you are looking for a serene escape this is definitely the place to be. The view from your room is nothing less than breathtaking and the sunsets are a must see.

My husband and I just returned from Whalers Cove in Poipu, and I can't thank Mariann & her staff enough for the best vacation! They definitely make sure you are comfortable & enjoy your time. Simply astounding, assuming you like waves, turtles and spectacular views.

My wife and I stayed in May of 2018 for our entire honeymoon trip. It was beyond our expectations, and we had the time of our lives in Kauai, and loved Whaler’s Cove! It was a very comfortable & clean place to stay, and the grounds were beautifully manicured. The pool and hot tub were fantastic places to catch the beautiful ocean views. Hopefully, we’ll be back again some day!

Just returned from staying 10 days here — unit 122 — loved it! Very convenient location. Beautiful complex. Staff very helpful and courteous. Condo itself very nice. Well equipped and spacious. Pool area very nice — although the water in the pool was a bit chilly! A lot of whale activity which we were able to view from our lanai.

It's wonderful being right on the ocean in beautiful Kauai and the space itself is wonderful. I can only give it 3 stars however because for the luxury pricing, the house keeping, maintenance, and management are not quite up to par with the scenery. We are pretty self sufficient, so we made do, but for the price there are a lot of options.

My favorite place to stay when on the island. Sparkling clean inside and out. Incredible ocean views.

Had a two week stay in Unit 120 and thoroughly enjoyed our time at Whalers Cove. The unit is on one floor, very easy to wander around in, good view of the ocean and lots of trees, and the whole setting is marvelous. Easy to walk to shops, with lots of good restaurants within a ten minute drive. Whalers Cove is very quiet with no traffic noise or bother. Nice swimming pool that sits right on the ocean's edge and was as civilized as one could hope a pool in Hawaii could be. We definitely will be back here some day, and will ask for Unit 120 again.

Our family stayed at Whaler's Cove for 5 days around July 4th. It was just wonderful! The property is beautiful — very well maintained with lovely gardens. Marianne and the Whaler's Cove Office staff were so welcoming and helpful. The views from the pool and the lawn are gorgeous — especially around sunset. Our condo unit was perfect for us. The kitchen was very well equipped and the furnishings were very comfortable and the rooms and lanai are very spacious. We look forward to returning to this lovely resort!

Whalers Cove is The. Best. Place. On. Kauai! Beautiful, serene and luxurious — this is our fourth trip to Whalers Cove and we are already planning our return. This vacation was a last minute, but much-needed, trip for us. Marianne Martin, who is the on-site property manager, is extraordinary — and she is the best at helping you manage your vacation in paradise. (A shoutout, too, to the staff who keep the units spotless! ) The property is expertly manicured and has a walk-through orchid garden. It has a gorgeous pool AND a hot tub — and sitting in the hot tub and looking up at the brilliant stars in the evening is a great way to eliminate any lingering stresses that may have made the trip with you. We have stayed in Units 110 and 111 before — but on this trip, we stayed in Unit 122. All are phenomenal but Unit 122 is, well, incomparable. It's 2, 000 square feet of luxury. The lanai overlooks the ocean. Breakfasts here can last hours. We'd go to either the market at Kukui'ula Shopping area (just a short walk from Whalers Cove and it has fabulous stores and restaurants) or the Big Save in Koloa Town for groceries and happily make our own breakfast so we could drink our coffee and eat on the lanai. The sound of the ocean promotes tranquility, and from our perch, we could see turtles navigating the surf and many beautiful birds flitting about the palm trees.

First time stay at Whalers Cove and it was amazing. I spent hours searching for condos on Kauai and found great reviews of Whalers Cove so booked a condo, and we totally loved it. We stayed in unit and it was amazing. Spacious, well decorated, and the views were amazing. I was a little apprehensive as the photos I saw on line were all the view to the left, which made me worry that the view straight and to the right weren't great but no, they are beautiful as well, it's just that the line of palm trees to the left make a great photo. The curved design of Whalers Cove is amazing and sitting out on the lanai we truly felt as if there was no one else beside us as the curve of the building makes you feel like you are in your own private oasis. The pool is beautiful and as others have written we had it almost all to ourselves most of the time. At most there might have been 4 to 6 other people at the pool and it was very chill and relaxing. On top of this the management and staff were over the top nice and helpful. A great place to stay and we will be back.

We just spent a fantastic week staying in Unit 125 at Whalers Cove. What a beautiful place! The grounds are immaculate and the unit itself was amazing. We were awestruck upon the first glance of the view from the living room. It feels like you are literally on the ocean. We'll be back!

Whalers Cove Resort certainly doesn't suck! My husband and I stayed in Condo for our week vacation in Kauai. The beautiful ocean views where you can watch spinner dolphins and sea turtles can be seen from the lanai as well as inside the condo. The clean atmosphere and fun decor made us feel part of the island and helped make a great way to start and end our days. The part that was even more special was the amazing staff at Whalers Cove Resort. They always had a smile and were so helpful. Marianne, who runs the property, is beyond amazing. She makes this resort shine with the island spirit. We cannot wait to come back again and again. A Hui Hou Whalers Cove Resort! (Until We Meet Again)

Living on Kauai, we learn which resorts have the best service, the best people. We love Whalers Cove Resort for our staycations. High end, but affordable. Luxurious, but feels like a home. And the view is unmatched. This time we stayed at Whalers Cove Resort for our Valentine's Day celebration. There is no more romantic atmosphere than here.
