Best hotel / resort in Poipu! We've tried them all! We don't have kids, well one in the oven, but rest assured this is where we'll bring them for decades to come. Even without kids, there is no view that compares to this. The staff is outstanding. The restaurants are all some of the best in Poipu. This is the best system of pools in the entire state! No hotel has more beauty or a higher quality of service. You'll have no regrets!

Stayed for our anniversary. Loved everything about this place. The grounds are gorgeous, with plenty of room in the pools and hot tubs. The spa is a great place to relax. The beach is one of the best in Poipu. Would recommend the place to anyone. We felt like VIPs with all of the wonderful amenities.

My wife and I did a Traditional Healing ritual at the spa. I don't usually love spas — they're overpriced and don't leave me with much of a lasting benefit. This was, without a doubt, the best spa experience I've ever had. The relaxation area outside was lovely (but it IS outside, and there are snacks, so watch out for bird poop on the chairs), and the massage, foot scrub, and scalp massage were absolutely delightful. While we waited for our flight back to the mainland we spent time in the saunas and read by the lap pool. We will almost definitely be back the next time we're on Kauai.

Absolutely love this hotel. Staff are so nice and the rooms are fantastic. I love all the restaurants here, there is not one bad one. Pool is amazing with Adult only, lazy river, salt water and regular pools. The even arranged for a dinner on the beach with live music for my anniversary (yes it cost $$ but that was ok). Love this place.

We were placed in a room over a wedding reception it's did not quiet down until 11 p. M. Hawaii time 2 a. M. California time. My Sony camera was stolen, a cotton embroidered dress was stolen, and ear plugs that we left in the room we're not reported missing. Would not stay there again. Although Insurance says they're working on it. It has been way too long to be looking at their security camera and not getting back to me. This happened 6 days ago. They did move us to a quieter room but our belongings were never retrieved.

Upon arrival, we were welcomed with leis. Our room was facing the ocean which was excellent. We can see the ocean, koi pond, some geese and ducks. Every hotel employee was so friendly and helpful. The rooms has water bottles you can refill with water stations all over the resort. The spa and fitness areas are nearby. We can see the luau from our Lanai. Self service laundry is also available in 3 areas. Overall, we love it here!

Com Booked a room on there and they had the best rates around… This was a great resort with more amenities than most I've been to on the Islands. All of the restaurants were great and the pools were extensive, which was nice. The Italian place had phenomenal food and a great dining experience, although every place was great. The saltwater tide pools added a nice option to the rough ocean. The location was nice as we could get to the Western side of the island easily with little towns and the airport wasn't too far away. This isn't a cheap resort but you definitely get what you pay for here. I would definitely stay here again!

We visited on our honeymoon and really loved it. The staff was so nice and really took care of us. The beach was rough but they have a large pool and a salt water lagoon which really made us forget about the beach. They helped make our honeymoon amazing.

Just left and already dreaming of when we get to go back. Very friendly staff. We had a minor issue in the room when we checked in and they had someone in to fix it within 5 mins of calling. The grounds are immaculate and pristine. The pools are the biggest I have ever seen and plenty of chairs to find a place to just relax. Best resort we have ever stayed in by far!

Grand Hyatt Kauai is an amazing resort! I've stayed twice now, once for honeymoon and once for vacation. The suite rooms are fantastic and come with every amenity. The standard ocean view room is also quite nice. My only complaint was how far away some of the rooms are from the parking and pool, but even that is minor. The pools are fantastic. There are several levels of pools plus hot tubs and even a salt water lagoon. There's plenty of room for kids and families to enjoy themselves while adults can lounge in their semi-private area. Alcohol is a bit expensive, but that's true for basically every resort. The luxurious spa is worth a trip as well. I wish there was more of a common area for my wife and I to relax together in the spa, but there is plenty to enjoy on your own with hot tub, sauna, lap pool, etc. The restaurants on-site are very nice. There's a decent variety of options. I prefer going off-site to experience more of the culture, but there's enough at the resort that you could never leave and still thoroughly enjoy yourself. Overall it's an amazing, lovely experience, and we can't wait to come back again sometime.

This place is AMAZING. The grounds are beautiful and there is so much to explore. It never felt crowded with plenty of chairs by the pool. We tried Stevenson's while we were there. The sushi was awesome! All of the hotel staff were extremely friendly as well. Will absolutely stay here next time we are in Kauai.

Grand says it all! This property is so large and many activities on property to keep you busy enough from ever having to leave the property. The terrace bar and lounge offers Starbucks coffee in the morning while overlooking the most beautiful tropical view. For those who love the water, the pool is a fantasy come true. The pool starts up on higher level with the Captain's Bar and cabanas for adults only. Great area to read, relax and enjoy some adult beverages. Next level has large deck areas that will accommodate families or larger groups. The lowest level is at sea level. This is a salt water lagoon with sandy beach setting and a guy that serves beverages of all kinds. There are cocktail/food servers that cover the entire pool and lagoon area. From the top to the bottom is a fun water slide. This resort is a village in its self. Take a walk and enjoy the beautifully landscaped grounds. Work up an appetite and choose from a large array of restaurants to dine at. Or enjoy room service. There's more… the Anra Spa is a tropical heavenly experience!

This was a top favorite beach of ours. It has a jump off point that many enjoy jumping into the ocean from that is about 30ft high. We were able to snorkel and see some sea turtles. It is also a good beach for boogie boarding. There are also some simple hiking trails for those that enjoy that. The onl6 downfall that I found was there is only one stall in the female bathroom but that's not really a big deal. I would highly recommend this spot for all around fun for the family.

Excellent hotel. It is big, but great for families. The grounds are gorgeous. The restaurants are mind-blowingly good. The sushi and Italian places are as good as I've had in New York in LA. But the service is what sets this place apart: Coreen at the front desk and Jessica in housekeeping went above and so beyond. We'll be back and we're telling everyone.

Beautiful Resort grounds are clean and manicured. Staff is very friendly. Evening entertainment excellent. The only reason I give it three stars instead of 5 is because they got my reservation wrong, it was with a group so I imagine it has to do with the folks doing the group reservations. We were told we would have direct ocean views. I did not. But the fronts staff were very gracious to try to find me a partial View. I had called a month or more to verify that I would have an ocean view. I was told that since I was staying longer than the conference there was no availability for my entire stay. But I had called in advance and given inaccurate information. By the time I arrived no direct ocean views were available. I was very disappointed but it was a beautiful Resort anyway. I will probably make my own reservations in the future. Go to Poipu Beach in the evening at sunset. We saw Turtles and monk seals what a treat.

The hotel is beautiful, lush, and clean. Rooms are fairly basic but tidy. Bathroom is nice, with large tub/shower. They provide reusable water bottles and have filtered water stations. Staff is friendly and helpful. Food and drinks are good, there's great beach access and a ton of pool space. They have an on site spa and gym, which I have not yet used. Great experience overall.

There is a massive sand bottom lagoon for water sports fully protected from the ocean, and a series of pools with water slides, hot tubs and more. The only negative of the pools was the lack of a true lazy river or tub slides such as properties like Disney have… the "lazy river" here is not a loop, but a one-way current and no tubes are provided, rather some are for sale. The spa was a real treat for our stay, and we didn't even do any spa treatments, as a Club (Globalist) member we had access to the spa for the Eucalyptus steam rooms, open-air lava rock showers (we actually went down there just to get our morning shower it was so special), sauna, quiet adult pool, and more complete with locker rooms, lounge chairs, cozy robes and slippers and even light snacks and infused water!

Nice resort, great amenities. Bathroom issues like shower drainage issues, that were promptly corrected. Complimentary bidets, awesome. Friendly staff, great pools, great dining. Highly recommend, just wish some of the little things were working better.

Truly gorgeous resort. Never felt over crowded. Everyone who worked there was incredibly kind and helpful. The lava rock showers in the spa were awesome! Would definitely recommend staying here.

If you are looking for a romantic getaway, the Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort should be on your list of choices. The grounds are beautiful, the views at Tidepools is breathtaking, the food is amazing morning and night, the service is top notch, and there's nothing not to love. The trails around the pool are a bit slippery so be careful, but a good pair of sandals solves that. The AC went out in our unit and they repaired it within an hour which is incredible. We loved it. A perfect place for a honeymoon or anniversary celebration.

An amazing resort! Starts with a warm welcome with a lei, everyone at reception and all the staff are super nice. The rooms are great and the view is amazing. I think the biggest attraction is how amazing the pools are. The resort is really beautiful and there are soooo many pools. Ones for kids, ones for adults, ones for fish. Ones that are hot. Ones with slides. Ones with a lazy river. And just on and on. Not to mention the beautiful beach and ocean front. The spa is also great. Really nice steam room and sauna which are really clean and beautiful and also amazingly relaxing. Overall, there is just so much to eat and dance and swim and relax there will definitely be something for everyone. And you can definitely spend days just at the resort and not get bored.

TL;DR Nice but overpriced. Has nice pools, you can spend plenty of time there. Very nice beach next to them, a little hike you can enjoy, and a huge property overall. Has a lot of included (free) activities on the property, fitness classes, ukulele lessons, etc. Food was average to bad, and about 2-3x higher than outside of the hotel. Don't go to their $35 breakfast buffet, it was bad. Make sure to rent a car, and get out for meals and other island activities. Their drinks at night were good. I was departing late in the evening, they let me use the pool all day long, and then through hospitality services gave me a room to shower and change. Very nice service! Ask at the reception for it.

Great honeymoon resort! We enjoyed staying at this resort for part of our honeymoon in Hawaii. The room was clean with upgraded featured in the bathroom. The resort pools were beautiful during the day (and open 24/7! ) but get there early to reserve your spot. There is a local hotel shuttle that can take you outside the resort to restaurants in the Poipu Bay area (highly recommend! ). Drinks and meals are pricey at the resort, although we enjoyed great sushi on property at Stevensons.

We had a ocean front suite that had amazing views. Check in was very easy, valet parking is fantastic the breakfast at Tidepools was very good (service is a little slow) but most importantly we really enjoyed housekeeping. Our room attendant Gina did an amazing job making us feel special and welcomed each night she would come into the room and do a fold down of our bed, place a fresh beautiful flower on the bed with cookies. Our room was sparkling clean. We could not have asked for better service. Thank you Gina you made our stay extra special.

This was hands down the best hotel/resort experience I've ever had (and no, they did not pay me to say that). Absolutely beautiful facility and grounds, and the pool area is fantastic. Definitely worth the money. My wife and I requested early check-in. When we initially showed up to check-in, our room was unfortunately not quite ready yet, but the staff were very apologetic and accommodating. They got the room cleaned and ready in a timely manner and even gave use two free appetizer certificates to the on-site restaurant. Other minor issue we had was that we requested a King size bed room, but ended up in a room with two queens. I called the front desk and they immediately got us into a different room with a king size bed and even upgraded us to a deluxe room with ocean view! My wife and I were ecstatic. The room was extremely clean and appeared well taken care of. Seriously, some of the nicest and most accommodating staff I've dealt with at a hotel. Only minor complaints: 1) the buildings are very long, so if you are in far room, plan to do a fair amount of walking. 2) the part of the ocean the resort is on is very rocky and is not good/safe for swimming. So that was a little disappointing. The beach itself was nice and sandy though, so it was definitely good for lounging and soaking up some sun. Other than that, we had a fantastic time! Highly recommend, and I hope to come back sometime.

One of the most beautiful hotels I've ever been! I work in hotels and love to travel. This place is great for all kind of people. Families welcome and often the pools are fun and never too crowded! I haven't been during the peak summer season, but it's a much visit if you're on Kauai.

Grand Hyatt Kauai is my favorite hotel of my vacation. The rooms are perfect, they are a good size, clean and beautiful. The hotel staff has been very helpful. They offer laundry (self) service making it much easier to pack light when you are away from home for a while. The location is beautiful and close to many sights. Their breakfast buffet is a little disappointing but other than that is is a perfect location!

Stayed here for 5 nights as part of a work incentive holiday. Naturally the place was fantastic though it does command a significant price tag for the rooms. Once in the hotel the restaurants and drinks are more modestly priced. The gardens and pool are are luxurious and the staff are fantastic and extremely friendly like almost everyone in Kauai.

You need a PhD to figure a way around a hotel that has minimal elevators — if you're not gonna have a elevators at least have open staircase is so you can see what the hell you're going. The ice machine is a quarter-mile walk from the room. Completely unnecessary at $300 plus per night. Activities look great on the calendar but don't occur at the right place at the right time 2/3 days Per week because the paper calendars and the paper calendars don't always match. McKenzie who takes care of the animals is on time and consistent though. Landscapers/grounds keepers do an amazing job. Housekeeping does an amazing job. The activity staff lack timeliness and consistency timeliness and consistency.

The Grand Hyatt at Poipu is gorgeous, to start. Walking inside the hotel feels more like walking through a lush tropical garden than a hotel. The hotel features breathtaking views of a picturesque ocean (which is in walking distance, by the way), along with beautiful terraced gardens. There are multiple restaurants serving incredible food (as you sit within perfectly manicured gardens with a view of the perfectly turquoise sea). The hotel's shops are plentiful and inclusive, and you can buy anything from small sundries to designer sunglasses. The hotel has everything — jewelry, clothing, swimwear, a gift shop with smaller trinkets. And even if you can't afford to buy a $9, 000 vase at the artwork sales shop, you can still marvel at and appreciate the stunning decorative items available for purchase. While the hotel is stunning, its restaurants serve fantastic food, and its staff are dedicated and sincere, there are some things that vacationers might like to keep in mind as they choose a place to stay. The hotel is steeply cost prohibitive and is largely only available to those within higher income brackets, and when you walk along the grounds, you can definitely feel it. While this isn't necessarily a negative thing, it is something that popped into my mind as I toured the grounds. That said, if you have the means and are looking to bask in luxury and live like royalty on your vacation, the Grand Hyatt is your best bet, hands down.

The Hyatt Resort is great!

The room was clean and spacious. The food at the pool restaurant was also good, my son loved the grilled cheese on sweet bread. The pools were an awesome experience. Pool was layed out like a river, with waterfalls, a mini slide and hidden caves, it was awesome. Pool had a large water slide, about a 15 to 20 feet high that snaked around and ended up in the main pool. It goes under bridges and around islands and peninsulas. A water basketball hoop, volleyball net and water polo goal is available for use! Pool is a salt water pool complete with a Sandy beach that also incorporates a few islands. They also have pool lifts available for handicap access. Two hot tubs were also available, one of them is located on the island in the second pool. The property was well kept and the workers were friendly and helpful.

The Grand Hyatt is absolutely beautiful in a inspiring location on the Island of Kauai! The service and rooms are beyond what you would expect. Families and young couples looking for a getaway with a touch of heaven should book-it!

We stayed here four nights as part of a two week honeymoon, the entire place is absolutely incredible, the property, staff, pools, beach is all great. We were greeted and checked in by very welcoming staff members, what I liked about check in was they answered the questions you knew you'd have before you even asked. We made our way to the room which was spacious and had an incredible ocean view. We went to sleep at night with the sound of the waves in the background. I do think that within the next 5 years or so the bathrooms may need some updating, but for now they are fine… double sinks and tons or room. The property is huge, so there was a lot of walking but it was no big deal and was not a bother at all. We used the pools, hot tubs, and beach… all were great. Careful because the beach is pretty rocky. We had drinks and dinner at Seaview Terrace and just drinks at the pool bar (tho food looked good). Seaview Terrace is a great spot to grab a light dinner and have some drinks overlooking the property and the water. The pool bar was great, I believe our bartender was Mark, he was helpful and we chatted with him for a bit too. Prices are high, however I did not think they were that unreasonable for hotel food and drinks. Now the breakfast buffet is fantastic, tho of any staff I encountered the check in people here were the least friendly and least helpful.

Mahalo the the Grand Hyatt Kauai for such an awesome vacation! When we arrived at the Front Desk Corrine was so helpful and very friendly. She made checking in to the hotel so easy and was such a pleasure to talk to. She assisted is with contacting Guest Services to hold our bags in storage until our room was ready. Guest Services was exceptional, especially Roger and Manu! Roger took great care of our car and made sure that it was there quickly when we came to pick it up. Manu was awesome, so friendly and helpful with information about the hotel and what to do on the island. The room was beautiful and very spacious. Our Room Attemdant Grace did an awesome job with keeping our room fresh and our amenities full. Paul, Josie and Tessie at Hale Nalu were the best! The food was delicious, such great service and friendly conversation! And I can't forget get Andy from Security, he was very friendly and helpful! Special thanks to Assistant Director of Rooms Joe Forbes and F&B Manager Michael Hutton for helping to make our visit memorable! The Carillo Ohana Dean, Johanna, Dean Jr and Donovan.

I've been at the resort for 1 day and so far it's been great. The pools are particularly impressive. The kids can't get enough. Breakfast buffet was also nice, with a nice ocean view and a koi pond that entertained the kids during most of the breakfast.

Came here for ten-year anniversary, and we also honeymooned here. I was afraid it wasn't going to live up to our memories, but the place is just as magical as before. Amazing breakfast buffet — spring for a package in which it is included. And it's pretty convenient to accessing all the great things Kauai has to offer.

The location was great, was very close to the beach. All the employees were very nice and provided good service. The rooms were well kept and had many nice touches like available easy to get to outlets for the many electronics we all have these days.

Pros: The pool and beach area is cool, and the entire property is lovely day and night. Cons: Much of the staff was unfriendly and seemed to not like the guests or their job. Found cockroaches in our bathroom. Food and drinks are laughably overpriced for what they are. All of the pool bars/food close at 6pm and the latest place inside closes by 11pm…? Why? They try to enforce the wearing of armbands while on the grounds to assure everyone is a registered guest. This became incredibly annoying; being constantly questioned (day and night) about my last name and room number, while being asked to wear an armband like I am at waterworld is not something I envision while on an island vacation. The buffet breakfast: tried to get an omelet from the omelet bar the first day, and the gentlemen strait up ignored me until I made a point of it. Sat down and by the time I turned around, birds had pecked it to pieces. On the second day, I tried again. Took my order, strait up forgot to make it and a new chef came in. I didn't try again after that. Bottom line is. This hotel is great, but nowhere near the quality the prices suggest and they act like it is. When your paying this much, you don't expect some of this subpar service. 60% of the staff are smug AF and by the 4th day I started being extremely rude in return.

Spent the last few days of our honeymoon at the Grand Hyatt in Kauai and wished we had spent more time here. The pools are incredible; we loved floating around in the lazy river. Tidepools restaurant made for a wonderfully romantic meal and we were able to see whales from the beach at the hotel! Would go back in a heartbeat!

The hotel is awesome. From the moment you drop your bags off at valet, you walk immediately into paradise. Everyone is super accommodating and the experience is super laid back luxury. Me and my wife went to Kauai and Maui for our honeymoon. We stayed here for 5 days and then at the four seasons for 5 nights. The four seasons is over and above luxurious but we both preferred the humbleness and relaxed atmosphere of Kauai and the grand Hyatt. The pool and beach areas are the best! The restaurants are decent but we certainly preferred Tidepools over everything else. Enjoy your trip if you decide to go!

We ate at Tidepools and had an awesome experience. The best part was probably swimming in the river pool and enjoying the Jacuzzi's afterwards. The hotel blends indoor & outdoor environments seamlessly which makes for a really relaxing time.

We went for a luau, or second time there, great as usual did not disappoint! Then my mom and I reformed for spa service. For a massage from Mark, he was incredible, magic hands! Then a pedicure. All in all excellent experience!

Such a fantastic place don't have enough good things to say about it! Beautiful all inclusive vacation. You can spend weeks here without the need or want to go anywhere off the resort. The restaurants are amazing, entertainment and music around the natural sea pools are Rockin. If that's not your speed, there's covered lounges on the beach perfect for romantic sun bathing. For families with kiss they've got you covered, with pools and slides all heavily supervised by trained and professional life guards. So parents can feel safe while enjoying themselves in any of their many nearby adult areas. The 1st time I visited was for a week, I didn't want to go back to "reality " and still hadn't experienced all they have to offer. My second trip I made sure to stay 2 weeks. This is my favorite island in the chain and will forever be.

Absolutely mindblowing, just like in the pictures. This place is gorgeous, with plenty of space to relax by the pool or beach, car rental available in the complex, plenty of options for food and great bars. The restaurants in the complex are a bit pricey, but it's just a short drive / ride to some cheaper places down the road.

Huge hotel. I went here to hopefully catch the sunset, but it was blocked by neighboring hotels. The resort looked like a giant water playground. Unfortunately there were tons of small flies down every walkway. It's unavoidable since the plants are what attracts them. Note: I went in Feb/March. Cannot comment on rooms or restaurant, but the Mai Tais are good. They have to be for the price.

Greeted by friendly staff upon arrival, the resort grounds are absolutely stunning with plenty of longe chairs and pools to choose from. The rooms are spacious and clean (with fancy toilets! ). Room service food wasn't quite worth ordering but as to be expected from room service. All in all, this beautiful resort definitely topped off the vacation.

I live on Kauai, and just got home from two days of "staycation" there. As always it was a great relaxing stay. The staff, from the bellman, front desk, housekeeping, pool attendants, and everyone else are top notch. Their aloha spirit and great service are an inspiration to me, as I also work in the hospitality industry. I have only one negative thing to say, and that's the amount of chlorine in both the salt water and regular pool. I last got out of the pool 3 hours ago, and am back home now, my eyes are still burning and watering, and everything I look at has that white filmy look. As long as they're back to normal in time for the game tomorrow… I'll live lol.

Extraordinary. A spectacular hotel in a spectacular setting. Exceeded all my greatest expectations. Great pools, beautiful landscaping. Great location on the beach. The beach is right next to a popular local surf beach and it's fun to just sit on the beach and watch them. The water is a little rough for swimming. The best swimming beach is just down the road at Poipu beach. I really feel like the Grand Hyatt simply cannot be beat. About 300 yards down the beach you can hike a very short trail that takes you up to a cliff over looking the ocean. Hike it in the morning and watch the sunrise, you won't regret it. This beach is where they filmed the movie 6 days 7 nights with Harrison Ford. If price is of no concern, and you're looking for a hotel, stay here.

The Grand Hyatt is a great resort with many amenities (golf, tennis, pools, beaches, hiking, dining, shopping) all within walking distance. But, those conveniences come with a price premium. However, if your not on honeymoon or a family vacationing with kids you will feel like a third wheel during your stay. Negatives: parking, hotel entry/exit points that are somewhat mind boggling, a mysterious lack of outside showers to wash off dirt and sand, and floors/room numbers that are unnecessarily confusing.

Amazing resort on Kauai! On the south side which gets less rain. The pool is never ending. The decorations bring you to a tropical forest. I would come back here again.

Grand experience! Hyatt made my stay in Kauai. It is a beautiful hotel with lush gardens, wonderful pools, beach access, many amenities for the whole family, and friendly staff. I will return to Hyatt if I make another trip to Kauai.

From the get go, staff was aways helpful and very pleasant. We spend our honeymoon at the Grand Hyatt Kauai and it was awesome. From the upgraded room, to the champagne found in our fridge, to the friendly recreation staff — our stay was fantastic. I would definitely recommend staying here for whatever occasion. Great resort on a great island.

Best hotel stay I've EVER had. Great beach access, lagoon, pool, adult pool, water slide. Grand club is a must! Fresh food and snacks. Really friendly staff. Truly paradise.

I recently live on kauai. Went here for a day off work just to relax by pool. Loved the place.

Absolutely an amazing restaurant! It’s very romantic! The service is spectacular and so is the food. My husband was in the front area talking about how our book in our room didn’t have the correct information in it for this restaurant and the manager walked up and introduced himself and said he had overheard the conversation and asked for our room number. Before we left he informed us he had our book updated and was very sorry for the inconvenience. Also our waiter named Dallas was wonderful. He took time to chat with us and explain everything we needed to know out very well. Wish we lived closer I would be back all the time! We travel all over the world and never really write reviews however our service and experience was first class and I wanted all to know.

Cons: Too grand for my style and felt quite uncomfortable and too pricy for what one gets. Pros: comfortable beds and nice staff.

This place is fantastic! I would happily book another trip here, but only one catch, It's rather expensive. But it is worth every penny to stay here, the gardens are breathtaking, the spa is wonderful, food and drink is very nice, the daily activities they have planned are a great. I really love this place.

My husband and I stayed here during our honeymoon. The hotel is beautify maintained with gorgeous landscaping, great rooms, pools, and beach access. Although the surf can get a little rough at this beach. If you have kids, or just want to avoid the waves they have a salt water lagoon you can hangout at. It's adjacent to the beach, with sand and all. All the staff were really friendly. They take care of everything for you and everything about the hotel just runs smoothly. Food at the restaurants on-site was great. Rooms are decent size and comfortable. The spa is a nice place to visit for a massage, treatment or just to relax in the hot tub.

I want to start this off with a warning that my wife of 1 week and I are only 23 so our perception is based off of very little traveling, especially at a venue of this caliber. Resort: Amazing. The pool area has pretty much every amenity you could ask for in a pool (volleyball net, B-Ball hoop, lazy river, alcoves and a slide) and the grounds and landscaping are immaculate. Restaurants: You essentially have the options of steak, pork and fish unless you visit Dondero's. Was not impressed with the selection, but what we did order was ok. I would definitely not say they were worth the inflated resort prices, however. You are lucky to escape any restaurant for under $60 if you plan on ordering a drink or 2. The drinks were also INSANE. $14 everywhere for a drink. The ~12oz mixed drinks MAYBE had a shot in them. If I were you I would venture out of the hotel for food and drink. The 5 minute drive west to the Whaler's general store will even save you money. Service: Room service was there anywhere from 25-50 minutes and generally had friendly staff. They were extremely friendly upon arrival but offered very little (keep in mind we didnt ask for anything, like a bellhop service or valet) in terms of making checkout easy. Attendants passing you anywhere on the grounds always flashed a smile and an "aloha! ". Value: I personally would recommend getting as cheap a room as possible.

Our family of 4 just returned from 7 days in paradise. We opted for the Grand Club pricing and did not regret it. The continental breakfast, snacks, happy hour hors d'oeuvres and later dessert was a hit with the whole family. It was fun to see what would be presented each time we visited the Club Room. The Club Room staff paid meticulous attention to the presentation of the the food and it was very tasty. The program actually saved us money and the room was awesome. One King and One Queen bed — both were comfortable. The work out facilities were great. Considering the numerous trips to the Club Room, we were thankful for the spa facilities. The entire staff was wonderful. When we left the grounds for off campus outings they supplied us with water bottles and towels. Victor, at the front entrance was exceptionally kind and shared info with us that made our discovery of Kauai even more wonderful. My husband and I were very impressed with the Hyatt's attention to detail. Everywhere we went we found water stations; fruit infused and very cold. The buildings and grounds were beautifully maintained and were exceptionally clean. We agreed they thought of just about everything. Our our teenage daughter and her cousin had a wonderful time; wonderful memories were record on film and in their hearts. The ocean was very active so we all enjoyed and appreciated the salt water lagoon and the pool. The lazy river and the water slide provided us with many laughs.

My husband and I stayed at the Grand Hyatt and loved it! The staff and management were so polite. We were treated like Royalty. My husband had a heart attack while staying there and they ran all the way to get to us. The view was spectacular and the sound of the different waterfalls along with the ocean were so calming. The entertainment each night was awesome! I truly felt I was in Paradise. There were hammocks and double person swings throughout the many acres of palm trees and lovely landscaping for your enjoyment. There are cabanas throughout. I spoke with some of the staff who have worked there for over 15 years which says something about the hotel. The grass made me think of Heaven, everything was immaculate and breath taking. Prices on food and drinks is a bit high but well worth it.
