Checked in on a Thursday, apparently was charged a "smoking in room" charge of $150 the very next day. Was not told about this charge until a slip of paper was slid under my door an hour prior to check out the following Monday. Went to talk to staff about charge and they proceeded to tell us that we were smoking marijuana in our room on that day. There were complaints about marijuana smoke coming thru the vents. They opened our door on that day after we left and a "wave of marijuana smoke" poured out of the room. We DID NOT smoke any marijuana in our room. We did HAVE marijuana in our room because my boyfriend has a medical marijuana license and is allowed to have it on him. He went outside to his truck to smoke. Even one of the staff said that she kept seeing him go outside all the time. But they did not want to listen to what we had to say. The staff flat out lied about it because we DID NOT smoke in the room. We NEVER smoke in the hotel rooms we stay in, out of courtesy of the other guests. When this occurred, it was our second day there, why didn't anyone come and talk to us about this? Why didn't they come in our room when we were there? NO, they did it the sneaky way. Just charge my credit card and don't say a word to me about it. Just slip the receipt under the door 3 DAYS LATER! It's just wrong! If they had come to us, we would have shown them right then and there that there was no smoke in that room! NONE AT ALL! Like I said, there was medical marijuana in that room and it does have an odor. I don't doubt that you may have smelled it in the hallway or even thru the vents. But someone should have come to us and talked to us. We would have gladly kept it out in the truck. Very upset with how this was handled and we will tell everyone we know about how we were treated here and we will never stay at another one these hotels again.
