Filthy, Soiled sheets dust all over filthy microwave and refrigerator carpeting with stains all over. When the sheets were removed from the bed it was all urine stained.

Pulled in to stay@ 2 am worker was sleeping under the counter! He was dirty not dressed proper for a front desk employee. Was very very rude! Wouldn't look up our members points, said we would have to keep our receipt and call. Rooms we're so nasty. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone! We're definitely calling corporate! this place gives super 8 a bad name.

Not at all impressed. It cost more for the one night than a one stay stay 2-weeks earlier at a Microtel Inn and Hotel. I'm not expecting 5-star accommodations at this price but would like something that doesn't look so run down and would have really liked it if the light in the bathroom actually worked so we could see enough to shower and shave. I don't think I'll be stopping here ever again or at a Super 8 in general. So far it is 0 for 2.

I would rate it a 0 if I could. First thing when we came in the front desk gentlemen had a cut off shirt on. He looked like he was going to work for a construction site. The first thing he said to us was that my 16 year old was beautiful. When we arrived at the room I noticed the door wouldn't lock. I had to lift up the door and have my daughter turn the lock so it would lock. My daughter noticed the bill was $124 for a night, online it was $51. Everyone looked questionable. The hallways smelled like smoke and the bedsheets had cigarettes burns in a non-smoking room. The wall had a suspicious substance could be blood I wasn't sure.

Extremely dirty, hotel doors broken. And they never got fixed. Stains on curtains, mold all over shower curtain, massive amounts of dirt and filth on floor in bathroom. I felt like I couldn't touch the floor because of how dirty everything was. They were decent enough to reduce the cost of the room, but really the only thing that is 100% necessary for a hotel is to be clean… All that being said the staff over all were nice. And when we called asking for extra sheets to cover the bed they came up right away. This place has potential, just needs a good amount of maintenance and a lot more thorough cleaning.

Our room was filthy and didn't include many of the amenities it should have had. The hair dryer was broken, there was blood all throughout the room, on the comforters, on the walls, on the drapes, and covering the bathroom door and in the crevices of the floor, and the carpet was soaked. Our room was not ready at 2:30 when we checked in, check in time is 2pm. There were prostitutes coming in and out. There was a strange man walking the hall going door to door trying to open rooms and peep through the peephole in the door. I rented two rooms for one night for my family. The housekeeping staff are extremely rude and unfriendly. The front desk staff were actually very nice. The continental breakfast was pretty good. I do not plan to ever stay at this Motel ever again.

A toenail on chair. Pizza on chair. Carpet dirty. Got non smoking room but it smells like smoke. Got into room there was air freshner on the air conditioner to cover smell.

Not bad. It said free breakfast but they closed it before the times stated. Otherwise it was a normal motel and pretty standard.

OK place to stay. Sets right beside the interstate and center of Harper road so getting to shopping places is very convenient.

This is an older motel. But for the price it's nice. The furniture is a little outdated but over all it is nice. This place IS NOT nasty and the staff is nice. It's not a 5 star motel but it is clean and my fiancee and I was content for the price we payed. Also the breakfast is great waffels, ceral, toast, fruit, yogurt. It's very nice.

Great place to stay. However they need to start updating bed clothes as the hotel needs shampoo carpets. Otherwise the staff were knowledgeable, respectful and accommodating.

Very comfortable room. Clean but had a bad smell. Since I always carry a travel sized Lysol spray I sprayed it around and it was fine. Breakfast was adequate. Decent stay for the price.

The Cons… When we first walked into our room the first thing I seen was a huge spot on the quilt along with several cigarette burns. The floors where dirty and the refrigerator wasn't plugged in so it was hot and dirty. All the light bulbs were unscrewed so it took us a few minutes to find light. The Pros… The bathroom was clean and the attendant was very nice. It was very quit and located within walking distance of several restaurants.

I slept well at this place. Good hot water, nice clean shower. Desk service person was very nice and very good phone service.

DISGUSTING! We got a king, smoking room and it STUNK and it was filthy. The only good thing was, it didn't have bedbugs. This room was about $70. If we were NOT so exhausted? I would have DEMANDED my money back and go somewhere else. A smoking room doesn't need to be this HORRIBLE. If housekeeping makes $1.00/hr, they are over paid.

Needs updated and a very good cleaning as with most hotel/motels in the USA they are foreign owned and operated and only in it to get your money not spend it.

I gave them a one star because it was the lowest I could rate them. FIRST off the no smoking hallway smelled like cigarette smoke. SECOND Our first room was infested with stink bugs. They were on the ceiling, telephone, curtains and bed. Staff very friendly said they are only stink bugs what you want to do move to another room our response was yes. THIRD Our second room the air conditioner would not stay turn on. The clerk said he thought they all would not run right the first room the ac was great so that was not so. This room was infested with the stink bugs also. My husband requested our money back so we moved from room to room and wasted around 4 hours trying to get some rest after a long trip. We went to the Super 8 in another town it was very clean with very helpful clerks and we will not be staying in Super 8 in Berkeley, WV ever again. We was very disappointed and dissatisfied with this motel. Don't waste your time staying in Super 8 in Berkeley, WV go on to Summersville, WV the Super 8 there is nice and clean. The clerks are always friendly and very helpful. This is where we will be staying for now own. Thank you.

Room was cheap, and that's about the best part. Bed was hard and kind of small. Breakfast was rather sad. Coffee was fresh but juice machine wasn't working. Apart from making my own waffle the othwr choices were cereal or a Danish. It was conveniently off of interstate and like I said it was a cheap stay. I've had worse experiences at nicer hotels. Staff was friendly enough.

It was ok. Our refrigerator didn't work. And it wasn't nasty but could have been cleaner but for the price it was good.

Very good customer service, decently priced room, and very comfortable bed.

Stayed on a Friday night. Desk guy was unfriendly and seemed bothered by guests. Although clean, the room was worn as were the bed linens. Not much noise barrier from other guest rooms. Layout of room was easy to use for a quick overnight stay.

Kind of a run down building with shotty doors. Bathroom was very clean though and had decent beds. Good A. C. Unit. It works for my needs.

Service was fast especially for the late hour and reasonably priced for our accommodations. They were one of the few hotels in the area that accepted pets. The rooms were clean if a little outdated. But the toiletries provided were salon quality and breakfast was good. Overall, a perfect place to crash for a few hours before continuing on the road.

I am so glad I wasn't there today or my ass would have went to Jail, what hotel allows a employee to talk down to someone, my sister literally called me crying today, she got stranded in Charleston yesterday and a friend of mine who lives in Beckley went and picked her up and he recommended putting her up in super 8 last night till I could have her a ride today, well check out is at 11 am and her ride was going to be a few minutes late, I stay at many hotels due to my work and I told her to ask for a late check-out, he would be getting there twenty minutes later, the lady at the desk down talked her and followed her to her room and treated her so bad that my little sister was literally crying, she doesn't drink or do drugs and she is not use to be treated like this at all. I am reporting this employee to the head incorporation and even another worker there told my sister they were ashamed that she was treated so badly, Super 8, hotels are supposed to be a home away from home, treated with respect and this hotel has enough bad reviews already one would think that you all are slacking and simply don't care.

The first room we were assigned had a broken door lock, went back to the desk and was told the handle was on backwards and to try again, still didn't work. Went back down and they gave us a different room. It was a smoking room, which was fine as both my husband and I smoke. However, there were burn holes in the bedding, chairs, and carpet. The smoke detector was ripped out and the sprinkles were rusty, grimey, and very doubtful they would even work. On top of that, the towels were filthy and the shower was dirty.

After staying in room 311 next day broke out with severe BUG BED BITES BEWARE 7/9/16 Ask for non smoking room, didn't get that. Bed sheets had some green glow on them. Should have went to another motel but all was full. This motel in my opinion should be shut down… very sorry we stayed there… we paid the price with bed bugs, … BEWARE.

Breakfast was good. Not so happy with room facilities. AC's were not working while the bathrooms were not cleaned since it was getting clogged.

I give this facility 3 stars on quality and an overall 2.1 stars. Read my review on the Knights Inn at Corbin, KY to see an explanation of what two stars really means-simply put two star facilities are places that would rate a return visit. The rooms a touch small but I guess if there are several people in your party you would need a second room. The room size is purposefully set to discourage a group of say six from trying to rent one room and ask for a fold-a bed. Everything worked fine except for the bathroom sink drain which was totally just missing. Clean sheets, clean towels and tons of hot water and fast Wi-Fi so all is good there. I could have expected a better ambience to the room as the decor is a bit bland. Just a hotel room, I know. Two stars, a recommendation to friends and I would return.

Have to agree with the last person. Room was not the cleanest, and coffee pot was nasty. Still had old coffee pack in it and burnt coffee in the pot.!

Not the best but not the worst. Bathroom was clean. Need to update their bedspreads as one had numerous cigarette holes. The a/c unit was filthy. Definitely needs a good overall cleaning!

I refused to stay there! Woman at front desk screaming at me because of the way someone else parked only because I parked near them. Rude rude rude so I went to the Econolodge. Must nicer.

The location was good, and the hotel was clean and recently remodeled. The staff was less than hospitable however. Overall a good place to spend the night on a road trip but nothing more.

Pourly cleaned there was trash under the bed… one if the beds had a flat sheet for a fitted sheet and the room stinks… staff are very rude… I wouldn't advise anyone to stay here.

This was the most awful smelly room we ever stayed in. There were stains on the bedskirt, the chairs were worn and filthy. The carpet was dirty. Never again.

This motel is super nice, the location is great, the breakfast was decent, but I thought it was a bit over-priced considering that they don't have a pool.

NASTY, FILTHY, PLACE! We had booked a suite there for one night. At first glance, our room was nice. The bed was large and there was a whirlpool in the room. We received a lovely surprise when we were getting in the bed. Upon turning the sheets and comforter down, the flat sheet was COVERED in white rice and curly black pubic hairs. The bed had been made neatly with all of that mess within it. Disgusted, we walked down to the front desk and informed them of the problem. We requested another room but was denied. Instead, they retrieved some clean sheets, handed them to me and told ME to change the sheets. With no other option, we changed the sheets before getting in the whirlpool. That experience was no better. As soon as the jets turned on, more hairs shot out of them and into the water. It was disgusting. We laid down in the bed, sucked it up and went to sleep. That morning while checking out, I was informed that I must wait until Monday to complain to a manager. Monday morning, I called and did just that. I requested that all money be refunded for the terrible experience. The rude female manager snapped at me and said that I will not be refunded anything because I had still stayed there. This place needs to be SHUT DOWN. I wouldn't wish it upon anybody. Nasty, nasty nasty!

Clean room firm beds, tvs are on the wall and had great signal. Free wi fi, the breakfast wasnt alot. Close to eateries. The staff isnt professional in mannerisms or looks. Very reasonable. Check online pricing it maybe much lower. Dark hallways. Good parking. Few spots for oversized vehicles. Its at its price point. Anything above 60 bucks it wouldnt be a good value. I would give this place a B.
