Was busy but service was great.

I stay here a lot because of travel and this is the contracted lodging. Water pressure is terrible. No hbo. Newer beds are better but the evening ones they haven't replaced are terrible. I personally would not eat at the diner even if it was free due to past service and food quality issues. It's not surprising to find food scraps under bed, used wash clothes in the shower, or the occasional dead bug. But at least it's dead right? Very often there temp in the room and refrigerator are hard to control. Each room has a microwave and fridge but I've lost several salads to a fridge that freezes everything no matter what the setting. For ahotel their internet is horrible. Connection issues and poor download/streaming rates. I try to be friendly with the staff but most don't even offer a smile. I see and hear about the contracted guests being treated like 2nd class citizens. Overall I wouldn't stay here if I didn't have to.

Clean accommodations, has porch with rocking chairs to enjoy the view. Best part was Peggy's Dinner out front. It was spotlessly clean! Great retro diner, reasonable prices.

Quiet, unexciting, just what one would expect from a hotel that houses railroad workers and construction companies… the diner directly next to the hotel is a plus though.

Comfortable beds, clean rooms, can't ask for anything more.

I have had much better service. The water pressure is horrible. The mattresses are mostly worn out.

Everything was clean and looked nice. Beds were comfy and the diner across the parking lot (Penny's Diner) is exceptionally good. Despite its motel rating, this was a comfortable place to stay for a couple days.

More a motel for railroad but do offer free breakfast to travelers at Pennys Diner which is owned by the same company.

I was pleasantly surprised at just how clean and quiet this motel was. They give you a breakfast voucher for the diner out front. Really good value all around.

Our child is highly sensative to a number of things and we requested the room to be given a second look before we arrived to make sure it was properly cleaned. It was clean at a glance but nothing was properly washed or wiped down. I've included pictures to prove my point. Wish another hotel would have been available but considering it was busy and that was the last place available we really had no other options for our emergency trip out. The front desk staff was unprofessional and very short with guests. Laundry room stuff was not efficiently working. I have doubts about the smoke detectors working as well. Trying to be thankful for a place to stay considering our last minute circumstances but unfortunately due to the lack of detail and upkeep with this place our child became very ill and we had to find a local doctor then leave before the memorial of our late relative. Please practice friendly service and pay attention to your guests needs. The man working @ the diner was practically out of everything we requested but made our experience enjoyable with other options, a smile and sense of humor.

I have given this motel one star because we did get to stay overnight in a bed with a roof over our head. This is the best I can say about our stay. The air conditioning is loud and noisy. All of the three way lighting didn't have three way bulbs and the lights that had room for two bulbs, only had one. The bed was very uncomfortable as well. The door would not go shut on it's own leading to me almost leaving the premises without the door being shut and my husband did go out of the room leaving me alone with an open door because he didn't realize it didn't shut on it's own. The front desk person in the evening we checked in was not helpful. The TV remote did not operate correctly and when I asked her about it, she seemed put out a bit and said she would have to look around for another and wasn't sure she could find one and would call me back. About ten minutes later we decided to leave for dinner, I tried calling her to let her know we would be out, but after letting the phone ring for a very long time, no one answered. My husband had a cup of coffee when we arrived and I went to front desk to ask for more coffee for the morning since there was only enough in the room for the one he had, and I was swiftly told that she could ONLY give me two more and that was it. I failed to ask for another packet of cream and sugar and she failed to ask me or offer — again she seemed put out by the request. For the price I really did expect a better experience.
