Absolutely gorgeous hotel. The lobby and bar area are decorated beautifully and the pine scent they have going is a very nice touch. Our stay was perfect, the room was gorgeous. We got a corner suite with a cute nook with a couch and floor to ceiling windows from edge to edge of the room and most of the wall in the bathroom. Heated floors, rugs, pillows, jacuzzi tub and stand-up shower with lights nightstands connected to the bed made for a wonderful stay.

Great hotel! Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was very clean and modern. Restaurant for breakfast was good too. If you are a platinum member you get $10 off any item or a free meal which was limited to two choices. Better Marriott hotel to stay in downtown Portland besides the Marriott City Center hotel.

The staff was very nice. We called in asking for specific accommodations and they identified a few rooms that matched our requirements and let us choose from them. We also had to stop multiple times to unload our vehicle, and the staff was very helpful and nice. They held doors for us and assisted in loading or unloading. The room was extremely beautiful. The interior design and color palette were on point. The Murphy bed was an interesting, but nice choice. It allowed us to use the space as a living room while still having a bed in the evening. The bathroom area was very luxurious. They had a normal shower head as well as an overhead shower. There was, however, no bathtub. All in all, a very good stay in an Instagram worthy hotel.

This hotel was fantastic. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. The prices were completely reasonable and the styling of the place was excellent. It was in a great location with walking distance to many of the parts of the city that you’d want to see on a trip to Portland. Highly recommended and we will certainly repeat if we have the opportunity to make it back.

Location was convenient but the neighborhood was not what we expected. It's a bit sketchy surprisingly. Rooms are smaller than expected. Staff was helpful but didn't go above and beyond in terms of recommendations. Wouldn't stay here again.

Good downtown location. (S. W. 3rd and Stark Street) Close to food carts and coffee shops, a mall and a movie theater. Cute rooms. Mexican restaurant and bar in the hotel. Gym and conference rooms in the lower level. Many rooms include sofas.

Friendly and down to Earth staff! Very modern, clean, and stylish rooms. Owned by Marriott, but not at all stuffy. Parking in a public lot across the street for $25 for every 24hrs. Great location in a very walkable downtown.

I love an Autograph Collection Hotel, but not this one. Luxury is not my first thought here. The rooms are small. The bathroom amenities are equal to a gym shower boosting communal shampoo, conditioner and soap. Yes, the bathroom has three large bottles of products used my the guests who came before you. The mattress has been placed on a box on the floor. I rolled over in the middle of the night and dropped my arm off the side of the bed & hit the floor. That wouldn't be too bad if the mattress wasn't so hard and the room wasn't so hot! The airflow vent is located above the top of an iKea style closet. The cool air must flow over the top and drop straight down to the attached desk. Just above the desk is the thermostat. This design creates a nice cool space above the desk resulting in the thermostat shutting off prior to cooling the room, especially the lower part of the room (remember the bed on the floor). I am not sure what the Hi Low theme is here. Maybe pay a Hi price to stay in a sample of a Low rent style hotel?

I recently stayed at The Hi Lo hotel and was super disappointed. I was looking forward to a Portland get away and staying at a highly reviewed hotel. We checked in and were told our room wouldn’t be ready for a few more hours. So we dropped off our bags and went to explore the city. After a few hours, we received a call that our room was ready. We decided to head back to freshen up before our dinner reservation. As soon as I received the keys to the room and opened the doors. I saw that my room had no view or bathtub. I was staring at concrete wall. When I booked the room it said it would come with a view and a bath would depend on availability. My stay wasn’t long but for two nights at $700. I could of upgraded and stayed somewhere else for a better deal. I went downstairs to complain and the concierge told me that you guys were fully booked and he could only move us to a few floors up. We waited and got moved up only to be disappointed once again. The room was handicap and the shower head was a tiny hand held shower. So we called and was told that nothing was available until tomorrow afternoon. The following morning, I decided to order room service. About 45 minutes later, our food arrived cold and we were missing bacon that came with the omelette, no coffee cups for our coffee, the coffee was cold and we had no condiments or utensils. After one thing and another with no apologies or compensations.

Excellent place and even more your personal service. Truly recommend it, very cozy.

A Marriott that is getting on with the times. The rooms are on the smaller side like in most of the newer business hotels. But very comfortable. They have heated floors and ceiling mounted rain shower. The room comes with a smart TV that can play Netflix, etc. But you have to use your own account and remember to log out. The location of the TV in the standard room was a little awkward. The building is a great mix of old and new. Very retro-chic with details like exposed concrete beams and the old letter box from the original building.

I love Hi-Lo Hotel. Has good service and The rooms are decorated to represent Portland. A lot of madiera and cement to accent the room. The location of the hotel is close to places like Pine Street Market and several restaurants.

Ice machines are terrible and small. At least they look good. Hotel was nice, and the decor is very modern. The beds we're comfortable and the bathroom is very nice. Staff did great.

Great Hotel. Rooms were nice, clean and cozy. Housekeeping did a great job, too and provided banks for my huge suitcases. Staff at the reception was very polite and helpful and you could always have a nice chat with the guys of the valet parking service. Top recommendation!

Stunning hotel! Extremely modern and clean. Bathrooms are absolutely phenomenal. The only gripe I have is that their walls are unbelievably thin. You can have a full blown conversation with the guests next door. They are in the process of sound proofing their rooms though so it shouldn't be a problem in the future. Will definitely be back!

The service has been great. I love the design of this hotel. Very modern and industrial design. I'll definitely stay here again. We did have issues with the bathroom cleanliness, but it got quickly resolved. Won't stop me from coming back.

Great location but away from the main thoroughfare of Pearl district. Easily walkable to different locations and a few blocks away from a few MAX stations if you still coming from the airport. This boutique Marriot is spacious and modern. The rooms are beautifully decorated with the added bonus of heated floors (a perk on the cold months! ). Staff was friendly and helpful with suggestions on food spots and places to trek. Only issue was housekeeping didn't come by a few days due to short staffing.

Brand new boutique hotel. Good location for walking. Got a great deal on a room for four of us. Spare and modern and clean but lacks charm. While the room was a good price, the food and the drinks served by the hotel's restaurant and bar were too expensive. Especially its restaurant. In a city that offers many options for delicious, moderately priced food and drink, it's hard to want to pay those prices. Especially for the very plain and small portioned food that we recieved. The service in the restaurant was also not polished, we had to flag down about 4 different waitstaff for our needs. However the front desk and the bartenders service was very good. The shower had something going on with the equipment and the water was hard to turn off all of the way. All in all I would return but probably only if I got a good deal on the room price and I wouldn't eat and drink there. I'd go elsewhere. Great pillows!

Very nice boutique hotel by Marriott. Modern style and not the standard business hotel vibe. More stylish and cool. My only issue duing my stay was lack of housekeeping services on day two. I ran into the housekeeper at about 5pm and she wasn't too happy with the staffing situation. I think we should have been given some kind of notice that they were short on housekeeping staff, rather than coming back to the hotel late afternoon to a dirty room. Other than that it was a great place. Walking distance to Pearl District which is where we spent most of our time.

Before driving a "rock and roll tour bus", I spent 22 years in the hospitality industry. (With 2 culinary/ Hospitality degrees under my belt) Now I spend approximately 340 nights a year in hotels. From the best to the worst. If something is good I will let you know, and if it sucks, I will definitely let you know. I cannot express how much I have been impressed by the entire staff from the Hi-Lo Hotel in Portland. From The Fabulous bartenders, to the concierge, and front desk. I can definitely say two things, 1) if I was still in the biz they would all be working for me. 2) they are all the poster-child of absolute Superior customer service. A lot of times in my business going into a city on a chewer accommodations Maybe open the end. (not secured) And a tour manager will ask me for recommendations of where to stay. I am really looking forward to that situation when Portland is the city because the hi-lo will definitely be my firm answer for accommodations. And the enchiladas in guacamole were amazing. Thanks again Hi-Lo.

We spent our wedding day and night at the new Hi-Lo Hotel and had the best experience we could have had. The hotel itself stunning and modern, located right downtown with convenience to transportation, shops, restaurants, and more. The rooms have every convenience and are well appointed with anything you could need, plus the beds are super comfortable. While the hotel itself was lovely, what really made our day was the service. Staff at the hotel knew it was our wedding day and pulled out all of the available stops. We were upgraded to a stunning corner room with views and ample space to get ready. We were greeted by a small tray of chocolates written out with "Congratulations" and complimentary wine at the mini-bar. The staff was super flexible and answered any questions we had right away. They were nice enough to do things like allow us to store my flowers in their walk-in fridge so they wouldn't wilt as well. Eric, the manager at the hotel, truly know how to provide an amazing experience. We will be back on our anniversary and will be suggesting others to stay at this hotel if they have the chance!

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay and highly recommend it to other Portland visitors. Friendly and helpful staff, comfortable rooms and nice place for a small business conference in the walking district of downtown Portland. Conference rooms on lower level rather dark… maybe some light color paint to brighten it up since there are no windows. The weird fun house mirrors in bathrooms on lower level are a bad design choice.

Hi-Lo was only okay. Highlights were the excellent staff team and the miracle pillows. It felt a bit like three different interior designers all worked on this project but never talked to each other. A mini fridge hidden in a cupboard seems like such a given, alas not here though! Great location though for sure!

The lobby is literally amazing, super chic. Great area, really nice bars and restaurants near by. The rooms are nice, but in such a great area, hopefully you don't spend too much time in it. Awesome place.

Really nice, modern hotel. Tasty brunch at Alto Bajo as well! Only negative was that our room wasn't ready when we arrived at 3:30pm (check in starts at 3pm). Waited another 20 min or so to get access. Everyone was very friendly, but no one seemed to make much effort to apologize for being an hour late on having the room ready. Other than that, enjoyed our stay, room was very nice.

Amazing service. Great interior design for Instagram and clean rooms. Can tell that staff is thorough and thoughtful. Also you are close to the river and the Saturday market.

I only stayed here one night but I absolutely loved this hotel. The people at the front desk were extremely friendly and kind. The room was beautiful. My husband and I got a standard King room that I wanted to live in. Everything was very modern, complimentary water bottles, beautiful bathroom with gold faucets and shower heads. Great TV setup mounted on a wall by the side of the bed so my husband and I could cuddle and watch TV. Great location downtown within walking distance of a lot of nice restaurants and bars. Highly recommend and would definitely visit again.

Very nice hotel that is brand new. Currently there is a lot of construction going on around the area so I have been awake since 3 am listening to trucks and other equipment. An abundance of homeless people are present which can make things challenging. I'm sure as time goes on and new buildings are finished this will be the place to be.

I loved this place! The decor was delightful, mid century modern paired with a minimalist feel. Great food, great service and the signature Marriott cozy bed. This is Portland's best kept secret.

The property is beautiful and very well thought from the history of the building g to the textures. What really is impressive is the staff. From the very first interaction at the front door from the personable bellmen to dinner at Alto Bajo, every staff member was in a great mood and ready to service. Our room was gorgeous and the bed was extremely comfortable. It was the gorgeous and spacious bath that won us over. I would certainly stay again and also put my family up there for a wonderful Portland experience.

Hotel is pretty nice. Hotel just opened and is pretty modern. The staff is really nice. The biggest negative with this hotel is the number of homeless in the immediate area. I didn't really feel safe walking around at night.

The experience at this hotel was amazing. From the friendly staff to the modern decor. We just stayed for one night, but enjoyed every minute at the hotel. If we come back to Portland, we will be staying there.

For a Marriott hotel I was not pleased with this hotel. Website is very miss leading with rooms, outside and area located. Was booked with a city view but ended up looking at the backs of building enclosure. Room was very small, no refrigerator or closet. Bathroom was decent for size of the room. Area surrounding hotel had excessive amounts of homeless people and even watched one walk into the hotel acting like they needed to speak to a manager. The sitting area close to the bar did have a large swing that guest could sit on that was nice I must admit, but overall I wouldn't recommend this location.

Outstanding! From the Valets to the Front desk agents to the Housekeepers! Everyone was so nice. The room was comfortable. The heated floors in the bathroom were a great touch. The bed was very comfortable. I would stay here again.

By far the best customer service I've experienced in any hotel. I was also very impressed with the cleanliness. I highly recommend Hi-London Hotel in Portland. I also recommend meeting Autumn in the lounge, very kind and takes the time to make sure your needs are met.

Clean, Slick, Very appealing modern-rustic design. View of the city is great! Being right in the middle of all the chaos ties the whole experience together! P. S. Try the food stands outside!
