Cute boutique hotel right at Orenco Station. Really liked it.

We’ve just checked in. Earlier we had received a call from our host to be sure we had sufficient check in procedures. So thoughtful! We were tired and very please when we entered our room, lovely feels European. Can’t wait to experience this oh so tempting bed. More later.

This place is awesome. Such a amazing area and fun place to stay. 3rd time and will be back for more.

Quaint, quiet, clean and cute! Love it. Comfy bed, well equipped room, well stocked lobby. Great experience. Much different than the large hotel experience. Parking was right outside the door. Easy check-in. Cute neighborhood with everything close within walking distance. Darling park across the street. Give this place 5 stars and will most definitely return when we come back to the area.

My favorite place to stay in Hillsboro. It's clean, quiet and extremely comfortable.

Great location and great amenities for a botique hotel. However, there was no air conditioning and the room temperature was difficult to regulate.

Very nice! Rooms are beautiful and well furnished, staff is courteous (though not usually visible! ), and they even did the dishes for us!

The room was very nice. We threw a baby shower in the room which I believe was set up for meetings and social gatherings. It had a charming atmosphere and very good light.

Very interesting and unique hotel. Felt a bit like a b&b but it was clean and pleasant!

What a prime example of locals do it better. Nothing but excellence during our stay. We were not in contact with any other guest, and it felt like we were coming home not staying at a hotel. The atmosphere is gorgeous and feels like your own home. The room was impeccable, very well put together and made to look like they couldn't wait for our arrival. The Jacuzzi tub was very relaxing and the oversized shower was also very nice. When traveling to portland, this is where we will be staying.

Very very comfortable bed and friendly staff. The breakfast snacks aren't amazing But there are plenty of food options around and a nice market right next door on Sundays. The rooms are so cute you get the presidential but local feel.

Not your standard hotel, feels more like staying with a friend. A truely lovely place. There is a flight of stairs before the front door to be aware of.

Great location, enjoyed the quality of the room and the Keurig coffee machine in the room. Best of all it was quiet and I had a great nights sleep, something that is spotty when I stay in hotels.

We recently needed a place to stay for a few weeks and The Orenco was perfect. The loft was very spacious with a fully stocked kitchen. Many extras such as bottled water and pods for the Keurig at no charge. Breakfast was included. There are multiple restaurants of many genres within easy walking distance. The staff was attentive and made sure that we had what we needed. The internet was also incredibly fast which we found helpful. We would highly recommend a stay at this hotel.

Reviewing for fellow light sleepers. All of the reviews do a good job of describing The Orenco — it's very nice and comfortable. ** My room was on the first floor, so it's possible that the problems I experienced aren't the case higher up, but the blinds on the windows are white and don't fully close, so a fair amount of street light came in at night. My second night, there was a person in the room above me and while I couldn't hear thudding or anything from their steps, the floor squeaked quite a bit. Between those two things I didn't sleep very well, but the bed was SO comfortable and there are two types of pillows, one not as big as most hotel pillows and I really appreciated that. Only other complaint was that the floor plan of my room made it look like there would be a tub (not a jacuzzi) and there was only a shower. Overall this was a lovely place to stay and I would likely stay again in a room that definitely had a tub :-) Fresh pastries from La Provence! Yes! Also I accidentally left some work papers in my room and they're very kindly mailing them back to me!

What a nice surprise, a hotel with the feel of a private B&B in the heart of Orenco Station, surrounded by cafes, restaurants and shops. I will definitely return to The Orenco on my next trip to Portland. The room was large with sitting area, desk, large comfortable bed and nice bathroom with a vintage feel to it.

Nice place, good staff, but otherwise a complete waste of money. Go elsewhere and save yourselves the trouble of a ruined time. No hot water when we tried to shower and take a bath. Now I'm dealing with my pregnant wife having a bad night because we couldn't spend a romantic evening to ourselves doing what we wanted. Only giving a one star because of the staff and that I can't rate it lower. Definitely won't be coming back here again. I've had better nights in a holiday inn and motel 6.

We had a great stay at The Orenco Hotel. Comfortable bed, great jacuzzi tub. Would definitely stay here again.

Hidden Gem. We have stayed at the Orenco multiple times. Without question… when in the area, that's the go to place for us! Recently… we booked three rooms. My husband and I, my adult son, and my parents. … and my mom is picky! ;) AMENITIES: Tastefully decorated. Clean. Quiet. Very comfortable mattresses and bedding. Keyless entry. PRICING: Is right! We still think… This place is a serious deal! LOCATION: GREAT location. Great restaurants, a brewery, and train depot all in walking distance. Nice safe area. A beautiful neighborhood to run or walk. Farmer's Market on Sunday mornings just out the back door. Nice city park is a stone's throw. LOBBY and SERVICE: Never ending supply of York Peppermint Patties. :) Snacks / Coffee / Continental breakfast always available. Keurig's in the rooms and lobby. Mark, Jeff and staff make sure you are HAPPY! They went out of there way to get a my parents a room in Portland as they needed to be close to the airport the last night in town. Service with a smile. Above and beyond! Really a fantastic place.

Elegant, warm, and peaceful. The room was immaculate — cleaner than any I've seen before. The bed was ridiculously comfortable. Check them out!

We had a plumbing issue at our house and needed a place to stay on quick notice. Found this place and while it was a little tricky figuring out how to get in… once we did we quickly enjoyed our stay. It kind of felt like having our own place. Lots of privacy. Nice cleaning staff. Walk to food / coffee. Would definitely stay there again.

Interesting little converted townhouse hotel. Has a very house like feel but very luxe at the same time. Automated check in process is bizarre but works flawlessly. Orenco is a great neighborhood. If it's convenient, stay here.

Highly recommend staying for a night or an extended stay, if you do not enjoy the experience of a large hotel. It has the feel of staying in someone's home, conveniently located within walking distance to the Max, a neighborhood with an adorable park, and several restaurants/bars/grocery store. The hotel rooms with accessible private courtyards below sidewalk level are particularly appealing, as is the loft apartment across the street. How nice to have bagels/muffins/snacks/fruit/juice and yummy coffees/tea always available in the lobby, which feels like a living room. The beds are super comfortable, washers and dryers are free, parking is easy on the street or the lot behind the building, combination door locks are great for people like me who always misplace keys, its fun to train into Portland without having to worry about parking or finding a DD, guests are quiet and the staff is beyond accommodating, yet invisible! I recommend The Orenco to everyone!

I am from the UK and love the stay here it is better than the ones in the UK.

Unique hotel, saw no one else during my week stay and it was very quiet. Really enjoyed the location, close to wine country, walking distance to market, coffee, indian food, sushi, wine tasting. However, there is no individual AC unit and 3 of the nights were uncomfortably warm with no way to change it. The shower was cheaply made and small. The lights over the sink did not work.

Stayed one night. The location was what we needed. Housekeeping should step it up a bit. Light bulbs missing, sticky handset on the entry phone, torn fabric on the fainting sofa. Mini bar food not stocked. Not a bad place, just seems like they don't pay attention to detail.

My husband and I have had the great pleasure of staying at The Orenco a couple of times. We can't say enough about the comfort level of the beautifully appointed rooms. Everything you need is there, so cozy and romantic we didn't want to leave. Lovely outdoor patio, just right for sitting and relaxing. The Orenco is right down the street within easy strolling distance from a coffee shop and some really great restaurants too. We took the train in to Portland as there is a stop close to The Orenco and avoided all of the stress of driving around the town! So convenient. So perfect.

I would rate with 5 starts if just a few things had been different. I was attempting to book a room for after my wedding and it took me weeks to be able to do so. I almost gave up completely. Staff would not call me back with the answers they said they'd respond with and I would not get my emails returned. Their website was apparently malfunctioning at the precise time I needed to book, etc, etc. Also, I was not informed of the fact that the suites would be under construction during my stay! So we were unable to use our private courtyeard due to the fact that it was full of construction materials and the entire outside of the building was covered in black plastic and construction items. The rooms, however, were magnificent. Very private with comfortable and clean bedding. Love the whole idea of the place — privacy at it's best. You're provided with your own coffee maker, microwave, creamers, snacks, drinks (those for small fees), dishes and flatware, etc. Fantastic. We also very much appreciated the complementary $5 Starbucks giftcard and the very short (2 minute) stroll to the coffee house. Overall a great experience. Just seems their customer service needs to turn it up a notch. They were all very friendly, just not very timely.
