I love it here! Love my balcony and view. And the people working there were incredible! Totally recommend!

Light dinner, Very clean and comfortable beds and pillows, good breakfast.

Just wonderful. It's located in Gladstone next to the scenic Clackamas River. Inside pool and jacuzzi. Breakfast has great variety, including eggs, bacon, turkey sausage, pancakes, fruit, cinnamon rolls, and the usual cereals, muffins, and breads. They have 2%, 1%, and skim milk, plus coffee, hot water for tea, and juices. Rooms are spacious and Comfortable. We liked the place so much we decided to extend our stay from 2 days to 3.

We booked this hotel for 2 nights and enjoyed it so much we booked a 3rd night. Spacious, Comfortable rooms. Terrific breakfast with lots of variety, including really good cinnamon rolls. Pool and jacuzzi.

Decent Holiday Inn. The location is better than the pictures on here show. Right next to a Safeway and a few gas stations. About a 20 minute drive into Portland. I didn't notice any freeway noise like others have mentioned unless you open the slider door. A few issues though the rooms are awkwardly laid out for some reason, the bathroom door is about a foot from the bed and had about a one inch gap at the bottom. Also the girl at check in seemed bored and didn't give us directions to the elevator or anything we had to wander around looking for it. The rest of the staff was fine. Breakfast was good. I would stay here again.

This was my third stay (July 18 — 24)   at this property and last!   The first being in January 2018 and the second in March 2018.   as for the positives, the hotel is very conveniently located next to a Safeway (Starbucks) and the 205 freeway.   The view of the river is also quite nice.   It is relatively clean but there is definitely a lack of attention to detail. My biggest concern with this hotel is why they fail to consistently clean guest rooms.    This happened twice in January and again twice in March at which time I brought it to the attention of the property manager.   In March she stated that it was her fault for whatever reason.  During my last stay in July 2018, my room was not serviced 3 out of the first 4 nights.   The last two nights it was serviced after again bringing it to the attention of the front desk staff.   Overall it is obvious that current management/ownership is neglecting this property.   The exterior of the backside of the hotel is filthy.   The balconies are not apparently ever cleaned and not usable (see photos).   The key reader on the exterior door near room 200 is not working.   The printer in the lobby was not working due to "the wrong cartridge being delivered" — go to Best Buy? In short, I did not even waste my time speaking to the manager during this stay, but I will not be returning. There are better options in Clackamas and Oregon City.

The room keys are a little old and often need a few tries, and the doors sag on their hinges and need a push, but all that is outweighed by the wonderful easy access to the Clackamas river — and at a spot with rocks to jump from and a slow current and lifeguards on hand. The rooms were really spacious and comfortable, and the Matrix was on TV, so cookie points for that. Breakfast with hot sausage and cinnamon buns. Thank you for a great stay!

Rooms could use some maintenance. Minor things like door edges peeling, bath sink had a large crack which had been glued. But for the price that is paid for the room I feel maintenance should be kept up. Breakfast that is provided is good.

We booked a room 2 weeks in advance, and when we arrived at 4:30 p. M. They didn't have a room ready. We had to wait for 30 minutes for a room to be cleaned, and once we went to the room that they had us waiting for, it was one king bed. We had reserved 2 queens. So after commuinating with the check-in lady that the room was not what we had reserved, she gave us a different room with a hide-a-bed and king bed which was a nice room. Rather that making us wait, I don't understand why she didn't give us the second room in the first place if it was ready. They are just understaffed. Can't beat the cinnamon rolls!

Great hotel with fantastic view of the river. Coffee all day, hot breakfast with a lot of options. Clean room and soft beds.

It's alright. It's older for sure. Compared to other Holiday Inn's I've been to this one can use an upgrade. The staff however is five stars, they are some cool dudes and dudettes. Some of the best features are that it's right on the Clackamas river. So during the warmer months you can skip the pool and head straight to the river. It's right next to a supermarket and a five minute walk to McDonald's. It's got two washing machines on the first floor as well as a little dining area to hangout in. They sell snacks but food-wise for a late night snack the most they have is pudding and a cup of noodles. It's not a bad place, and like I said earlier the staff is fantastic so it makes it worth being here.

Nice friendly staff. Clean. The floors are thin though, you can easily hear when people are walking around in the room above you.

Had a great experience at this Holiday Inn Express. The rooms were well-kept, the bathroom was clean, and the hotel overall was in good shape. We got a room right by the river, which was a great view, but opening the sliding door let in all the noise from the adjoining freeway. The pool looked an odd green-ish color, but we didn't get the chance to go down to investigate. Also, the free buffet breakfast was great, including the AMAZING biscuits and gravy. Finally, the location is nice, in the same parking lot as a Safeway, and is about 20 minutes from PDX/downtown, depending on traffic.

It's the best place to travel a great pool fitness area and big bedrooms fun to go to breakfast it has nice size breakfast meals my family loves it so much.

Always a pleasure to stay in a Holiday inn Express. Have never had a bad experience with them anywhere. Always clean, pool always in service, customer service always courteous, Continental breakfast always top notch.

Everywhere I looked I saw something dirty. The bathtub had hair in it. The stairs were dirty. The pool had hair, bottle cap, bandaids, gauze, hair ties, bobby pins, and gum in it. I have pictures so I will post them if I can figure out how. We drove 2 hours to stay here so we could have a pool to swim in. The pool was freezing cold and stinky on Saturday. On Sunday they closed it because they were having "issues with the chemicals". The hot tub wasn't very warm (which was actually nice because ours kids were able to at least swim in there). Such a bummer. Oh I should say that the staff was very nice.

Great hotel. The breakfast is awesome. Better than most higher priced hotels. Clean room and bathroom.

The beds are comfortable, the continental breakfast is amazing (not just a stale donut and coffee here! But a full on breakfast! ) And the view from our patio is amazing! The freeway is right there but you can't even hear it! I recommend this place!

As a fan of Holiday Inn, I have to say this is low on my list of places I've stayed in the chain. The location and price were ok… but the service at the desk was lackluster as were the rooms, which seem in need of refurbishing. Parking was easy and free.

Nice clean rooms. The indoor pool is heated and open year round. There is also a good size hot tub. Views of the river from the pool area are great. The hotel is close to the freeway, gas, groceries. And sometimes there's a plate of cookies to greet you when you come in!

Wonderful rooms, good parking space. The environment is very cool. I will come back here.

Pretty decent hotel. It has been well-maintained and it is clean. The staff is nice and the cookies are good.

Room was very nice. Comfy bed. Hot shower. Balcony that overlooked the river (And interstate unfortunately). Pretty quiet even with the busy road outside. Lobby was clean and staff was very pleasant. Social hour offered.

Staying here for a week. Excellent facilities very friendly staff. Clean rooms definitely recommend.

The room quality is fine. Bathroom fixtures seem a bit outdated. It's convenient that there's a Safeway basically in the parking lot.

Very nice property with spacious rooms. Pool and hot tub are fine. Friendly and courteous staff. Free breakfast in the morning is well rounded and will keep you happy. I liked the location near the freeway. I didn't find the noise to be an issue at all.

The staff there is so nice. We were going to a wedding and we got there early. They let us store our bags so we didn't have to keep in car and hang up our wedding clothing. It got wrinkled and I asked if they had a steamer. They even offered to do that for us. Truly 10 star treatment. Thank you.

Decent room with a good view of the Clackamas River. The first attempt at checking in resulted in us entering a room that was already occupied. We had to switch rooms to get the suite we had originally reserved. Continental breakfast was average. I have only stayed here once, and I think it is worth another try.

Nice spotless clean room. Beautiful view of the river. Nice trails around. Right next to the Safeway was awesome. Pool. Kuerig coffee maker. And the most comfortable bed. A firm and soft pillow. Loved it here. Will definitely stay again.

Fastest check in process I've ever encountered. Breakfast was typical but appropriate. Our room was good and the bed felt great. I haven't sent a night in a Holiday Inn in many years, but I enjoyed myself.

Loved the view of the river with the little balcony! Didnt check out the pool, just staying over night, but it looked clean and inviting. The toiletries we're a nice clean scent and the bath was warm and lovely. Had a super hard time locating the elevators in that building (not well marked) and the bed was way too soft. Also, I loved that the pillows were labeled "soft" or "firm, " but the firm pillow definitely wasn't and I had a hard time sleeping.

Stayed here for 4 nights the rooms are clean and spacious the employees are amazing super friendly and helpful the indoor pool is nice the continental breakfast is unbelievable so much to choose from and different food each day oh and not to mention it's easy to get to right off the interstate… there are restaurant or fast-food close by… it pretty much meet all your needs.

My wife and I always look forward to staying here and is our most favorite Holiday Inn Express. We love sitting on the balcony and watching river. The employees and service is top notch making us feel like family. One of the desk clerks, Sandy H. Has been taking care of us since 2004; she is the best. She should be a manager of her own Holiday Inn Express with the knowledge and hospitality she provides.

Very good location. Next to a Safeway and also has a floating river behind it… Gonna take advantage of that.

Good fast service, and comfortable room. Checking in and out was easy and painless. I also appreciated pillows that differ in firmness and we're labeled as such. Would recon to others.

Staff was locked out of pool when we wanted to use it. Disappointed in that but goof experience otherwise.

The room was clean and comfortable. The lack of accessible outlets was a little disappointing. The layout had the heater in a section that could be closed off, so either it would be cold or noisy due to the highway near by. The river view was pretty admirable. Everything felt a little dated. Safeway nearby was convenient. Free breakfast was a little less than satisfactory.

Nice clean room, we have a child that HAS to eat gluten free. The hotel website said the hotel breakfast had gluten free options. There were none. We were disappointed. Every else was fine.

Mix up with preparing for room. Boss reserved the room with his card and specifically asked to have the room billed to the card he reserved it with. Was told that I would need to provide a CC to hold for incidentals. To my surprise, I was asked to pay for the room myself with my card. Seems silly that a huge company like Holiday Inn would have this ability as I'm sure I'm not the only one that uses their hotels for work. Need to get this ironed out, otherwise was a pleasant stay. Nice room, river view, comp breakfast.

A simple hotel stay that could have been a nice experience has turned into a huge hassle and a financial nightmare. I wish there was an option to not choose any stars at all, because I would choose none! Hotel was nice and I enjoyed the atmosphere. Rooms were clean and cozy. STAFF IS HORRIBLE! AMAZING HOW BAD, UNKNOWLEDGABLE STAFFING CAN MAKE A NICE HOTEL HORRIBLE! When we called the hotel directly to make a reservation we were told we could not pay with cash and that we had to pay with a card. Then when we got there we were told we could pay with cash but we needed to have a credit card on file, but it WOULD NOT BE CHARGED. When we checked out we paid cash in full, but they were having computer issues so they needed to email us the receipt. Not only was the card charged the hotel stay but it was also charged an additional night that we never reserved or stayed! At check in we were also told that the hotel did not offer a late check out time, but then at check out we were told that they did! So not only did we have to pay for an additional night that we would not have had to stay had we known we could do a late check out, but we were charged an additional night that we did not stay! WHAT KIND OF A MONEY RACKATEERING SCHEME IS THIS PLACE RUNNING! I tried to call the hotel on several occasions to speak with management but was always told the manager was not there. I left several messages and management never returned my phone call.

The worst stay I have ever had! I worked for Marriott for several years in college and maybe I hold hotels to a higher standard, but this was awful. It started at 8am when we were frantically trying to get ready for a wedding later that afternoon. They stated they had a room available for early check in so of course we were going to need a place to put our things after traveling all morning. To our suprise we went to open the door and there was a grown man jumping out of his bed coming toward the door at us bridesmaids. After the wedding was over I was exhausted and went to bed early but my roommate went out. As she didn't have a second key I called down to thr front desk and requested one be left for her so she didn't need to wake me when she got in. Well, at 3 am when she returned, I heard her attempt to use the key several times, unsuccessful. So I got out of bed awoken from the door handle to let her in. The next morning we checked the key and it was a blank card. At this point we were ready to just get out of there. So the roomate and I requested to split the bill as many of the other bridesmaids did. By tuesday I checked my account and to my suprise I had been charged for both halves in two separate transactions. After calling twice to speak with someone I received a call from a manager who did not apologize for us walking in on a grown man, and blamed the blank key on the other bridesmaids cell phone for it not working.

Located in Gladstone and close to West Linn and Oregon City, this hotel is a pleasant addition to the Southeast Portland area off I-205. The Holiday Inn Gladstone is a very nice Holiday Inn Express hotel located right on the Clackamas River and all rooms have a river view which is a wonderful setting. Staff were more than outgoing and friendly and they certainly made my stay and experience a positive one. Hotel rooms are updated and modern with HDTV High Definition Televisions and a refrigerator and microwave as well. If your needing to be in the south I-205 area this is certainly a hotel worth checking into.
