DON’T expect them to get you to/from the airport!

In late June, We reserved SeaTac airport parking via Way. Com at the South Tukwila, Washington, Days Inn. We arrived there on June 29th approximately two and a half hours before a 6:55pm international flight on which we were booked.

We parked and were assured by the Days Inn desk clerk that the airport shuttle would return within 20 minutes at most. I wasn’t happy with this delay, but, at that point, enough time remained before our flight that we had leeway.

Once that time had passed, I asked again when the shuttle would arrive. The answer was vague, and I asked the desk clerk to call the driver to find out his location. The desk clerk did so and assured us that the shuttle was “fifteen minutes away. ”

That time also passed, at which point we began to be concerned about missing our flight. This time the desk clerk supposedly again radioed the driver (he went into a back room to do so, so I don’t know whether he actually called) and was told that he was at the Sea-Tac Airport South Motel 6 and would arrive within 8 minutes. (In fact, according to Google Maps, the travel time between the Sea-Tac Airport South Motel 6 and the South Tukwila Days Inn is exactly 8 minutes. )
When the shuttle still did not arrive, I asked again, and this time the clerk said there had been an accident outside the airport, which had delayed the driver. I knew this was a lie because, if the driver had been at the Sea-Tac Airport South Motel 6 as reported, he was already more than three miles beyond the airport.

At that point I asked the clerk whether he could provide a taxi voucher so we could call a taxi. No, he could not. I asked whether Days Inn would cover the cost of a Lyft. No, it would not. He had no other solutions and became very snotty. “We share the shuttle with Motel 6, and I can’t do anything about it. ”

We called a Lyft, which managed to get us to the airport at 5:49pm, one hour and six minutes before—I repeat—an international flight.

When we returned from our trip on 10 July 2023, I called the shuttle via the Ways. Com app (which actually directs the user to the phone of the Days Inn in South Tukwila) and was told that no shuttles would be available between the airport and the Days Inn that evening. We were once again forced to call a Lyft.

When we booked with Way. Com, we paid for parking and GUARANTEED AIRPORT SHUTTLE to and from SeaTac Airport. We did not receive that service and, in fact, suffered stress and aggravation, on both ends of our trip, because of Days Inn’s and Way. Com’s failure to honor its contract with us. And of course we had to pay for our own Lyfts.

These people are serious lowlifes.
