We attended a wedding at Crystal Mountain. It had spectacular views and was a lovely venue. The outdoor tent was private and the food was outstanding! Jody and Mary were very fun and responsible behind the bar. I would highly recommend this venue for a wedding.

My daughter and I enjoyed a fantastic getaway, staying two nights. We bought the family fun package and made good use of it. The grounds here are exceptionally beautiful and the grounds are kept very clean. We received great service, very pleasant and helpful staff.

Nice facility but beware of website reservations. Booked a golf package but golf not included. Then after telling housekeeping about pet, got scolded by phone and charged extra for not calling them about having a pet. We are not mind readers, it was a pet friendly area and there were no questions asked about it during online booking. It was a pricey weekend to be treated so poorly.

Resort includes very little as part of any package. Most services cost extra including having more than one person in a room even when registering for more than one bed. The water park was nice for the kids. Still would be hesitant to spend my money there again. Can get better value at other locations.

A true resort where everyone knows your name. Such a great family centered place that bends over backwards to make sure you're taken care of. Very accommodating. Greg, Justin and Matt are 3 people just to name a few that make sure you feel like family. The whole staff is wonderful! We became members 2 yrs ago and tell everyone we can about Crystal!

We booked a room for a wedding this weekend and while the whole facility is gorgeous, there were some things that were sub par. The service between the front desk and the restaurant was completely underwhelming. In our room, the Keurig didn’t work so they had to bring us a new one, not a big deal at all. The thermostat is broken so our room was extremely warm the whole time. They have stopped using fitted sheets on the bed so the sheet kept coming off and we basically slept on the bare mattress the two nights, which to me is entirely disgusting. Overall it was okay and the facility and amenities are beautiful.

Great place relax and unwind, but pricey! I've only gone there for a work events. But the staff are great and very hospitable. Their also very friendly and great at accommodating gluten free and dietary needs. The pools are a decent tempature and the hot tub is awesome. Unfortunately I haven't experienced any of the other activities on the resort but they look good.

All workers were super friendly! All but 1 desk attendant was very helpful! I had no idea the resort had so much to offer. I'm planning a trip back!

Crystal Mountain always provides a great place to stay. I've stayed in the hotel, the condos and the townhousea. All of them have been great. There's lots to do at the resort and restaurants less than 30 minutes away.

We stayed in the mountain ridge condo. The unit was all updated amenities and great sitting area both inside and on the porch which overlooked the 17th fairway. Plenty of space in each room and we had a great time. Golf courses here are in absolute great shape and both courses have some difficult holes but all the while still being very playable. Our group played both courses multiple times and we'll be back next year to enjoy them again. The staff was great for resolution of our issues and even finding a lost item for us. The bar didn't serve food after 8pm when we came in from golfing so that was a bummer, but we enjoyed our weekend at Crystal Mountain.

We come to play golf on the mountain ridge and betsie valley courses every memorial day and the courses are always in great condition — play is a little slower since there are a lot of families out here around this time. There have been a ton of new additions to the resort over the years, including a new outdoor water park and a market to buy food, drinks, and other needs. I would recommend coming to crystal mountain for the great service and views.

I enjoy skiing at Crystal. There is a diversity of slopes for all skill levels. Glade skiing is great when snow permits. The grooming is consistent and the staff friendly. Highly recommended.

I was young when I first visited Crystal Mountain. The drive up to entrance was magical as the sky was covered by snow covered bare tree branches. Like driving through a tunnel leading to wooden winter wonderland. Amazing ski slopes for all ranges of experience level. Definitely a must do in Michigan during the winter.

Reasonable prices for skiing. However the food prices are a bit ridiculous for the quality and quantity. Go for the fun, not the food. It's the best place to spend a day during the winter near Traverse City and well worth the drive.

The condo was nice, but our check in was horrible. First of all, their check in time is entirely too late, 5 pm. We arrived at approximately 3, hoping to check in earlier than 5. We didn't get checked in until 5:30. My daughter in law had a conference starting at 6, as well as we had our 2 yr. Old Grandson and 8 mo. Old Granddaughter. We wanted to be checked in and settled so she felt comfortable getting there on time. When you pay $700 or so for 2 nights, you should be able to check in before 5. Oh, we were offered free coffee, hot chocolate or tea while we waited. Not good enough.

Crystal Mountain offers nearly unlimited runs for skiing and snowboarding. Here is a good place for skiing with kids, there are a plethora of intermediate runs for skiers of all competency levels. There are 6 lifts going and dozens of runs. The skiing and snowboarding classes are fantastic and range from class learning to private lessons. In the summer the hill is open to hiking, disc golfing and all sorts of recreational uses.

We stayed in the new legacy suites, and the rooms are beautiful! Very spacious with lots of amenities, including heated floors in the bathroom. The location was great too, near the front desk and the new market area. The front desk workers were great to deal with, and quite pleasant and helpful. My only issues would be that the heated towel rack didn't seem to work, and there was a hair left on the wall of the shower from a previous occupant, but these are very minor issues that did not affect the quality of my stay. Dinner at The Thistle was delicious, as was the muffin I grabbed from the Bru Bar for breakfast.

Great skiing destination. 8 lifts in total and each lift takes you to a spot with easy, moderate, or advances trails. You won't be stuck. The staff are helpful and kind. Lots of parking available even on a busy Saturday. Rentals available.

I stayed at one of the Wintergreen rental homes with my husband and two other couples. It was a three bedroom, two bathroom unit, that had very comfortable beds, extremely clean bathrooms, a well stocked kitchen for prroaring your own meals, a wood burning fireplace and a small laundry stacked unit in a closet. We skied for two days and liked the variety of paths down the slopes. The fitness center locker rooms were clean and we enjoyed both the indoor and outdoor hot tubs. We will definitely go again. I thought it was affordable and s hood value.

Love love love this place. Firstly they are Dog Friendly! Accomodations are beautiful. Food is awesome. Have stayed twice there and will definitely return. Ski in and ski out on the mountain. The rosemary mint spa toiletries are fantastic. I even bought the dispenser and refills for my shower at home. Quality of snow and runs and chairlifts are top notch. We'll be back with our pooches, thanks!

Was there for New Years. That weekend was single digits cold. That didn't stop the area's cozy magic feel that radiated that weekend. Fresh powder fell all night each night for a fresh untouched frosty morning outside. Being from southern Michigan its been better than a decade since I have seen snowfall like I witnessed at Crystal Mountain. Almost as high as my knees and ever falling still. Felt as if I had left the Michigan I was used to and arrived in some far away place of frozen beauty.

I love this place! I come to the spa whenever I have a chance. They are very nice! Skiing is perfect here. Lots of natural snow and their snow making crew does an excellent job. I highly recommend coming here.

Amazing place. Beautiful views and plenty variety of hills. A cozy lodge to take a break in. It is overall a great place to go and Ski or Snowboard. Very pretty nice rooms and well cleaned. 10/10 recommend.

I love it. My first time there I was in a car accident at the entrance (my fault) but was there the next day skiing and have been a few times now. I have really only gone skiing but from what I have seen and done it is pretty cool. It is a huge resort. Kind of a small lodge which is mostly a cafeteria for there expensive food (My only complaint). With an as big as you can get here in MI ski hill. Great place to ski and a great array of hills and difficulty. If your looking for a place to ski this is it. Plus a bunch of other stuff but I have not done it.

I snowboard at Crystal, and I love it. I bought the season pass and it was definitely worth it. I came out to snowboard just about every day during the winter. The cafe inside has a lot of nice people working in there, and they make it even more enjoyable. The runs are nice and I love how they are constantly changing how the terrain park is, whether it's adding a new rail, or moving it around.

Shared a condo with friends. It was very nice, gas fireplace, 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, kitchen /bar and a nice restaurant below us on the main floor. Best part didn't have to drive to go play golf. They have shops, stores and an excellent massage place.

Best resort in Michigan hands down. If I remember right they are in top 100 in country or something like that… Highly recommend for couple's or families to visit… Golf, disc golf, Alpine slide, multiple swim and water areas. Even winter sports like skiing and snowboarding… If you are thinking of this place… Stop thinking and book a vacation with them…

We recently stayed at Crystal Mountain. Our first room was in crystal colony. Room was very dated. Kind of reminded me of an old dingy basement. Our room was right next to the walkway so we had to leave drapes closed otherwise people could see right in. Sheets had stains and room had an odd smell… almost like bug spray? First night our hot water went out and maintenance came to fix it at 1130 pm. Next morning hot water went out again so they said they were moving us to the main building. Huge inconvenience as we were traveling with a young child and a baby. Had to pack everything up, put it in car and then bring it all back into another room. We weren't offered any sort of "perks" for this besides and "upgraded" room at main hotel. I asked if we could get some $ off but was given breakfast vouchers instead. We noticed hardly anyone else was staying in crystal colony and now know why. New room was nice. Clean and no funky smells. Beds were comfortable. Our daughter got sick while on our trip and housekeeping was great about cleaning our room. They came immediately and were efficient and helpful. I offered to clean up if I could use some of the supplies but they insisted on doing it and were very professional and courteous. I am not sure what their wage is but it's not enough for the job they have to do! To sum up: Cons: Crystal colony dated rooms Smelled funky Non working hot water Basement vibe Huge inconvenience of having to switch rooms the day after we arrived.

Crystal Mountain is a great place for family’s. It is an inclusive resort meaning there is no need to go off the property, they have it all. The golf course is always well maintained. Some golfers can get a little rowdy but the rangers make sure to shut them up. There is so much to do there so I would recommend grabbing a brochure just to see all the activities. Crystal changes every year and is always expanding. Highly recommend if you are looking to stay around the area.

I would have LOVED to give this stay 5 stars. There were so many wonderful things about the resort. The condo we stayed in (mountain view) was clean and exceeded our expectations for space, bedrooms, and bathrooms. The amenities (shampoo etc) were really nice and I loved the dispensers they felt much more home like than the tiny bottles. The beds were really comfotable and bedding was nice. Overall, we were happy. Our minor disappointments included the paper products and living room furniture. For how nice and spa like everything else was, I did not expect such cheap and thin toilet paper ☹ Paper towel in the kitchen was similar quality although obviously less bothersome. The furniture in the living room was so uncomfortable. Such a bummer! We went away with my parents to spend some time together and none of us felt like we could sit comfortably in the living room. The last night we were there, we were all watching the same football game in our individual rooms in bed to avoid sitting on the couch and chairs. Time to invest in something more comfortable. We vacationed for a long weekend for the sake of relaxation so we honestly didn't spend much time exploring the resort or participating in activities. That being said, our young kids (2 and 4) enjoyed the alpine slide and scavenger hunt.

Our suite was furnished with all the creature comforts anyone would need. The jet tub was really appreciated at the end of a day of golfing. Everyone was so welcoming and friendly. So many things to do for every member of the family. It was our first time here. The only down side was we were only here for a weekend. Will come back and stay longer!

Crystal Mountain is like it's own little city. When you drive in to the resort there are buildings which look like tiny houses that you can rent. There is also different buildings that have a more traditional hotel setting. There is a spa/fitness area which is truly amazing! The location is beautiful!

Great location for any occasion! This spot in Michigan is wonderful any time of the year. The accommodations are clean and spacious. Enjoy a trip up north to Crystal Mountain and you won't regret the peace and tranquility that it offers.

This place might be a lot better at winter. The mountain slide is worth every dollar. I'd say get a day pass ($25/person) for the slide. If you're an adult stay away from all the other adventure stuff, they're pretty much targeted for kids. You'll have fun too, but not worth it in my honest opinion.

Great resort for families. Came for the day and purchased the $35 day activity pass. More than worth it. Lots of activities to keep both children and their parents happy. Outdoor pool was clean and well kept. Nice activities (ropes course and climbing wall not too hard for kids). Alpine slide was very fun! Ate lunch at the Thistle pub and grill. Service, food and drinks were excellent.

Great family vacation! Incredibly clean rooms and facilities. Great staff at the slides, pools, rock wall, disc golf, and front office. My kids range in age from 12 to 20 and we all had an amazing time. Will definitely return! Highly recommend!

I loved it even though I did tip my little toboggan thing going down the slid! I got scraped up pretty good but I still went down it six more times! It was Awesome! If you don't like getting scraped up then go kinda slow!

Good. Pleasant staff, clean, nice setting, and grounds were very well maintained. Very peaceful place to take a relaxing break. There is a lot of things for families to do. Kids would have a blast.

The staff here is absolutely amazing. We hsve done all the activities and every single person is so nice and encouraging. Max at the Alpine slide will make a long line go so quickly with his entertainment. Every place we have been have been so clean, food is great. Just plain great. We have been coming for 6 years and will continue to.

Poor customer service, not accommodating to the elderly and not responsive to items left in the room my mistake. No management available. We went over to the Thistle Pub & Grille to get a drink and relax after the long drive. Even though the place was almost empty, we were told we could not sit inside unless we ordered meals. We then decided to get appetizers along with our drinks so we could sit inside. They then s The next day some of the grandchildren were playing on the ropes course and there was not a place for their elderly grandparents to sit. We asked if they could sit in the pool area by going through a gate inside the ropes course and not having to walk all the way around the building. We were told they could not sit inside the pool area, even though they had wrist bands unless they walked by the office entrance. I advised I could walk over and tell the staff at the entrance my parents were sitting inside so my parents would not have to walk so far. They would not allow. It was misting rain and the place was not busy. There is no reason they could not have accommodated. Instead my parents went and sat inside their car and watched from handicapped parking. We checked out on Saturday morning and drove over an hour away to our next stop. I discovered that evening I had left very important papers and a large sum of cash, in the drawer of my hotel room, including my passport. I called the front desk and they advised me they could call security and get back to me.

We purchased an all day pass for the Alpine Slide. Great fun and well run. Though there were close to 30 peep in line the young men were moving riders through quickly. Especially amazing considering the need to w ait for an occasional small child riding very slow. My only gripe is children should be required to ride with an adult so they don't hold others up.

Went came for the alpine slide. The slide was great. Chair service is super slow. Beverages were cheap. The rock climbing wall was cool as well. The staff was wonderful!

Crystal is a great place to vacation. We've been coming here for decades. It's only gotten better over the years. Skiing in the winter and good in the summer. Accommodations are always nice and the resort is well maintained. Overall a lovely place to take the family for a get away.

We went to a friend's birthday party at a cottage. We enjoyed our time there. The kids loved the pool and art park. However the cottage we were at had not been cleaned well. I feel like they need to do a better job cleaning.

Nice Michigan ski resort, with 50+ trails and allegedly the fastest chair lift in Michigan. There are 7 different lifts, four on the main face and three covering different areas on the backside of the mountain: the Ridge, Backyard, & North Face. These three areas were some of my favorites and gave the mountain a lot more variety. Some nights, the lifts are open until 9pm, and a surprising number of runs are illuminated for night skiing. We stayed in two different lodgings, the Kinlochen lodge (at the bottom of the slopes), and a cottage further away, but closer to the pool. Both were excellent and being on premises made it very convenient to ski on/off through the day.

Awesome time! Our room was super cozy and had that ski lodge feel. Runs were well maintained and plentyful! Didn't go down the same run for a few hours! Ski lifts are quick. Not a great place for beginners, but lots of easy runs as well as hard runs. 5 places to get food and all of them are delicious. Outdoor and indoor hot tub available! We had a great time and the staff was so friendly! Memorable trip.

Great time! Even for March and warmer temps this year, the hills were great! Our friends rented equipment and it was all top notch, and all the staff was very welcoming! The amenities are very nice, and the food was delicious! Will definitely be coming back!

Stayed in a friend's cabin down the road a bit and came up to XC Ski and snowshoe. Very down year as far as snow, but we had a great time. My first time, so I'm no expert. My brother-in-law snowboarded the blue slopes and said it was really great. Staff was very nice and helpful. The bar was a nice place to warm up and had good appetizers. Overall, Crystal Mountain was really nice and I wouldn't mind coming back next winter.

We stayed at an off resort location, but wanted to spend a day at the pool. Pool was great for our kids, 4 and 6. Picnic tables outside allowed us a nice place to eat our packed lunch. Would definitely recommend.

A lot of family friendly activities. The resort is pricey. I would recommend the rainbow band that allows or includes different etc activities.

I was recently there for their annual Beer and Brat Festival. I've gone the last four years as my annual birthday celebration. This year was disappointing. Smaller glasses and some brewers charging more per pour than others. All that and the ticket price was the same. It definitely wasn't worth it this year.

My family and I stayed at the resort twice and then we purchased a place here! Reasons why my wife and 2 boys love it at crystal: 36 holes of beautiful golf, great skiing, good restaurants, first class spa, great biking and hiking trails, accommodations for any size group. The property is maintained to the highest standards. You will love your vacation at crystal mountain.

Great place. So much fun. Betsy course isnt great, Hills course is fun. Just drive to Arcadia for a real golf experience.

My wife and I had a couples massage for our anniversary. The facility was great and so was the staff. Massages were great too. My only complaint is the length of time for the massage. By the time they go over your paperwork and get you situated and they give you a couple minutes of relax time afterward, your "50" minute massage is only about 35 minutes of actual massage time. For $272 I expect 50 minutes of a massage. We would go back if we had no other option but I think we could get the same result elsewhere for way less.

Stayed here for spring break 2016 with our 4 year old and 6 year old sons. It was a warm year and snow was not the best. Still, we really enjoyed the resort and the staff. Kids skied almost every trail. We'll definitely come back in winter and/or summer. We have a cabin in JH (WY) and are very familiar with ski resorts. This place is great for kids and beginner skiers.

I went to Crystal Mountain for a day of skiing. It's overpriced for the quality of the trails. The snow was nice, as was the equipment and lodges. But the ski runs are just not challenging. They're not steep at all. For $52 you can get far better skiing. Schuss Mountain and Boyne Mountain are so much better that they're not even in the same league.

Stayed overnight at "The Colony" in room 256. It was well appointed and even though we shared the hotel with other families, it was quiet. My children both did the all day group lesson, my son, 4, was in the Adventure Cubs, and my daughter, 7, did the snowboard lesson. Both had great fun and success, my daugbter had a blast and learned how to balance and turn. My son made a few friends and the daycare layout gave us (the parents) a chance to enjoy other activities. I skied on a wonderfully groomed set of slopes and my wife enjoyed 6 hours at the spa… fully enjoying an 80 minute massage and a manicure, along with all of the other ammemities such as sauna, hot tub, pool, etc.

Stopped at crystal mountain for the opening day yesterday on the 5th. There were more people there than what you might think, but the staff had it all under controll and were pleasing every customer. Very nice place if you have not been here. Very nice resort.

My fiance and I are went there to plan our wedding for 2016. They are extremely helpful, fast with response times, and the food is great!

Beautiful setting and wonderful accommodations. The spa was especially enjoyable and the restaurant at Kinlochen had amazing food, which I wouldn't normally expect for a resort town.

Crystal Mountain is wonderful. Rooms are beautiful and clean, food is great (esp bistro) and it serves as a center of the community in both summer and winter.

Awesome place for kids and adults. Great hiking, biking or whatever. Was there in August but would be a great winter getaway. All staff was friendly and helpful. Don't miss the kids eat free breakfast. Outstanding.

I am a local and have watched Crystal Mountain develop, prosper and grow into the true world class property and resort that it is today, for 44 of my 54 years. Family and friends have made Crystal Mountain a part of our special moments and life events as well as a great recreation choice and have never had a regret nor a complaint. Out of town friends visiting often make the Mountain their first choice for both short term and long term accommodations, knowing that it is well run, world class resort property with activities and facilities to encourage enthusiasts of all four seasons in this beautiful area of NW Michigan. Not only is the Mountain a world class recreation, vacation and event destination and resort, it is also an incredible reflection on the community, an upstanding corporate community member and an outstanding neighbor. Always has been and I am confident always will be. If you are looking for a weekend away with friends or a longer family vacation destination or an all inclusive option for a company or corporate event, the fine staff family at Crystal Mountain will make lifetime memories possible and the community welcomes you to come see and enjoy our beautiful home, year around.
