Rooms need to be updated. Still have old tube TV's and big oversized entertainment centers that take up a ton of room. Carpets in hallways are all stretched out. Hot tub has always been nice and hot though!

My experience with the Red Lion in the context of this review is extremely limited, my wife and I attended a memorial service hosted in one of their conference rooms. The room was comfortable and clean, albeit somewhat noisy due to the swimming pool directly outside. Overall a decent place to host an event, not quite as nice as some other places in town, but fully serviceable. Edit: Review has been increased from 3 to 4 stars after response from the venue clarified that a minor issue with the food was catered in from outside and was not the responsibility of their staff or kitchen.

Update*** I was just contacted by a nice young lady representing the hotel. I appreciated that no excuses were made, just solutions. I understand that the rooms will not be up to modern standards until a renovation, but I stressed that this does need to occur. Maintenance has fixed the security door. Another agreement was made to address my overall dissatisfaction, and I feel they made it right. I've upgraded my review to a three star because even though I'm still not a fan of the room or amenities, customer service has been outstanding. I should have mentioned in my first review, but the staff were all very helpful and pleasant. There's something to be said for that. If the rooms are renovated and the breakfast is made free, I will choose the Red Lion as my second choice for hotels in Wenatchee. ***update complete*** Was forced to stay here when my usual hotel was booked up. Not gonna tell a story. I'll just outline the problems. 1. Room is very dated. There's still a tube TV. Not the kind of nostalgia I enjoy when I'm already forced to be away from my wife and children for extended periods. 2. Breakfast is pitiful… and not free. I don't like paying for stale cereal and warm, chopped fruit. So I didn't. 3. Curtains in the room were dirty. I don't know what that stain was, but I refuse to go near it. 4. Pillows were way too small. As another reviewer said, like couch pillows. 5. The iron gets way too hot. Burned a brand new shirt on contact.

The furniture in the rooms are dirty and stained. The TVs are small and outdated. TV channels and guide our dated. No coffee in your rooms anymore. You have to go to the front of the hotel to get some and half the time it's cold if any is made. I've been going to this hotel for over 20 years with my work. There are many other choices in Wenatchee that I would stay with my family. Not a fan for the last five six years…

Very clean. Front desk gals were very sweet and very accomodating. I loved that we had a balcony! But I wish there were chairs to sit on out there. We had our yearly conference here and had a wonderful experience. Marianne was the lady that helped us coordinate our whole weekend. She reserved us a block of rooms for our attendees and gave us a great rate. We used the conference room and then had a catered dinner in a different room that overlooked the river. Food was great and the view was beautiful! She made sure we were well taken care of. Our whole group had a great time! If we ever have our conference in Wenachee again, we will definitely be using the Red Lion.

Booked our room a month in advance. Requested a renovated room overlooking the pool and on the same level as our softball team. When we arrived, we were told we didn't get a renovated room but did get a room overlooking the pool and we were on the same level as our team. NONE of this is true! We stayed in room 360. There is NO view of a pool! (You can hear all the people at the pool area but no view) Our view was a BIG tree with garbage on the ground. We didn't stay on the same level as our team too! Our team was on level 2 and we were stuck on level 3, secluded from the rest of our team. I expressed my dissatisfaction with the front desk and was told "there is nothing we can do for you. You are already staying at low discounted rate, all of our renovated rooms are booked and the location you have is the only room we have available for you" I was so upset and so unhappy with the service. A $160.00 a night for a room with popcorn ceilings, cube TV with horrible picture, refrigerator didn't work and the microwave was filthy. The restroom was a complete nightmare! Floors felt as if they weren't mopped in years. Shower curtain had mold on the bottom and the toilet wasn't even flushed from the last time it was used. (which wasn't us) I was so upset about our stay that I literally begged my daughter's softball coach to never stay there again. He agreed and we won't be staying there again! That's 16 rooms that will not get our business for next year and the following years to come.

This is probably one of the nicest hotels in Wenatchee. We have stayed a weekend here every year for about the past 15 years as we volunteer with Washington special olympics. The accommodations are pretty good and the staff has a always been friendly. The breakfast is just so so. The bar is nice although it was closed for remodel last time we were here so that was a bummer. Overall I would recomment.

Not a bad Red Lion. It has recently changed hands and has been through some upgrades. Still has old televisions and they have removed the coffee pots from the rooms. And they often don't have fresh hot coffee available in the lobby. Beds however are super soft but the pillows need an upgrade.

Nice clean rooms, comfortable beds, staff and service is good. Cons: older TV in room, only chair is the desk chair, no vending machines but can buy drinks and limited snacks at front desk. Outdoor pool and hot tub.

Friendly staff and house keep does a great job. The curtain sheers are dirty but I know as a former hotel staff that is to be expected. As with all hospitality structures that offer affordable accomodations the update process is slow. I would say for the price it is a great stay. If one expects top of the line they need to shell out more cash. Please tip, they work harder tgan you can imagine.

I checked into my room and when I opened the door the previous guest hadn't checked out yet. I realized someone was still inside right away. If not if could have been very awkward. The room was clean, quite, and comfortable. They still have tube TV's in the rooms. They could use some updating.

Great exterior. Okay interior. Good service. Nice hot tub. Room was nice enough and would stay again.

The rooms are ok. They still have the old CRT TVs that hum when you turn them on. Also the cost of simple items such as candy bars and drinks are way over the top. A small bottle of Orange Juice $3.79 is way too high. The cost of a soda (unhealthy) is over 2 dollars for a 20 oz bottle. I am starting to think that Red Lion is trying to promote unhealthy habits. Or is because the owner of the hotel puts profits over guests experiences.

Free breakfast was great, pretty friendly staff. Disappointed to have outdated TV's in the room. I don't remember the last time I saw a box tv. Brought the room experience down sadly.

It's older hotel. Clean. Very spacious rooms with balcony. Little bit weird layout. Easy to get lost. Outdoor pool only (closed in cold weather). Has meeting rooms, fitness. Very old TV with bad signal (grainy). They said they are in process of getting new ones. Has fridge, microwave. No coffee maker in room. Comfortable bed. Plenty of lamps and artificial light. Stuff was nice.

Rooms were clean and spacious. All the staff was friendly. Good places to eat nearby. They do provide a continental breakfast.

Excellent cleanliness. The EVS team were friendly and helpful. The front desk attendant could have been more efficient with checking in — not so chatty. The only reason for not rating five stars.

Front desk staff was friendly and sweet. Outside of hotel is updated you drive in and think you’re staying at a nice place! You’re not. Carpet needs shampooed. White Drapery is filthy. Room is outdated, shower leaves much to be desired and there is a gap in our room where there should be a chair. There’s not. Good news I didn’t pay full price for the room or I’d be livid.

My experience at the Red Lion was acceptable. The room though dated was always clean. The breakfast could use a vegetarian selection for a meat substitute. Otherwise it's selection was okay.

The room was clean, spacious, and well-priced. A very popular shuttle to Leavenworth stops here on festival days before it becomes crowded, so you'll probably get a seat. The staff at the front desk we're friendly and helpful. They went above and beyond for my group.

The only reason I'm giving 2 stars is because their service was amazing, they are super friendly. Everything else was disappointing. We paid extra (almost $200 a night) for a balcony and a view of the mountains and got a sketchy, dirty balcony and the only thing we could see of mountains was the tops because the rest was covered by the hotel roof. Our shower drain was also clogged so every time we showered we were standing in water up to our ankles. There was also mildew or mold on the ceiling in the shower. The pictures of the rooms look great but in person are sub par. We paid almost $200 a night and couldn't even get a 32in flat screen, instead we got a bulky TV from the 90's with terrible quality and made horrid noises. Overall not satisfied and would never book again.

Rooms are rather dated and the bed was also stiff with the pillows not being much better. Bathroom is very nice and cleanly. Good views and heater/AC works fine. Overall just a bit old and could use remodeling.

The heat can't be adjusted wall paper coming off the walls. TV is a old 1990 type they use corner sheet's on top of the bed. The old style slider door didn't close. But it was a place to sleep.

I've stayed here 30 times in the last 6 months. The staff is usually friendly. The property is decent. They are still renovating. Weekends can be a bit annoying, with young kids (youth sports teams) running around the halls slamming doors and raising hell. The breakfast buffet in the morning is adequate and reasonably priced, but the breakfast at Buzz's across the street is better.

Reading through the reviews and hotel management responses, we can live with: 19" Phillips CRT TV that buzzed, one stained chair, an overpriced breakfast, bubble gum stuck to the bottom of the handicap pool chair, carpet stain where we guarantee someone was, if not murdered, undoubtedly sustained life-threatening injuries next to the bed. But, the deal-breaker for us was the lack of glasses in the hotel. Plastic cups reigned supreme everywhere and when asked was told management does not allow for glassware outside of the bar. All the items listed above are issues that can be fixed with time and a little bit of money, but the policy that glasses are not allowed in rooms is just a tiny bit crazy. Here is the fix. I walked next door, not the trailer park, the other next door neighbor, and Salvation Army had two nice glasses for. 69, buy one get one free. Please don't make it unnecessarily difficult to work around policies that don't make sense. We wish you luck with your hotel and the turnaround.

Great service. The rooms are huge and soundproof. All the lotions and soaps are all organic. All the staff are friendly and kind. Truly peaceful experience. Will be returning.

Benefits of hotel — Friendly staff. That is all. Advertised that there are laundry services — there are none, which was why we chose this hotel for business travel. The breakfast is one of those breakfast bars that is usually complimentary but charge $7.00 for microwaved Jimmy Dean sausages and terrible oatmeal. Rooms are very outdated and bed pillows are small, like a sofa pillow. There are better choices.

Never again, this place is a rip-off. Service is poor and very slow at front desk. Rooms are extremely dated. Breakfast was good, but nothing special, also not included with the room by default… which is nuts considering how much you pay. Avoid it, you can find a place just as good for half the price in town.

Reserved a room after midnight. Went to get breakfast in the morning and were denied. Were told the pool would open at 7am and it Still wasn't open when we checked out at 10 am. Crappy customer service. **I've stayed at other red lions in different cities and different states that were way more accommodating than this one. I expected a much better experience. Disappointed barely skims my feelings on our stay here. Absolutely will not ever stay at this red lion again and do not recommend to others.

Front desk and bar staff were incredibly friendly. Our room, however, may not have been completely checked. On the more minor side, we were missing a "Do Not Disturb" sign. When we tried to take a shower, we weren't sure if the tub wasn't draining or if it was a slow drain. We were told maintenance wasn't available until the next day. Granted, it was about 11pm. On the upside, our room was clean and I liked that there was a sink both in the bathroom and outside it. There was also a power strip by the bedside table for charging all those devices.

Horrible outdated rooms. TV is ancient. No dvd player. Rooms smell. Wifi slow. Paid 180+ non refundable for two beds. No indoor pool. It's raining kids have nothing to do … never again.

We satyed only for the night so did not enjoy all the facilities, but had a nice temperature controlled pool. The room was comfortable except for pillows and CRT television. It had fridge and microwave in our room so overall good experience.

This place sucks. Sheets have holes in them. A 20 in tube TV with no channels. The rooms and decor look like and smell like they are from the 50s. I had to switch rooms 3 times. Once because there was a dirty pair of some one else's underwear in my room and because they next room they have me smelled like smoke. Oh and the breakfast you get with it. Oh my gosh. The eggs were hard as rock and devoid of flavor. The sausage is frozen links microwaved and the pancakes are the same and come with only sugar free syrup. This place sucks. Avoid it at all costs.

Very nice people. Wonderful pool and grste hot tub. Nice bed. Grate bar. In all this was a wonderful hotel.

Same as all Red Lions nowadays = outdated, stuffy, rundown. Hate the fact that the most convenient way to get upstairs is using the stairs which is a pain when you have a bunch of bags. Rooms are overall clean and comfortable but again, outdated. Not a fan.

Nice staff, good rooms, the tv's aren't crazy fancy but they work, and it's in a good location that's pretty close to stuff.

Hotel is in a nice convenient location, however, the rooms are not in the best condition, and the TVs are horrible, they are old, and outdated with a bad picture. This hotel needs an overhaul badly.

Matt, Sarah, Sue, Rachel, and Tim, definitely know how to make vacation easy. I cannot commend them enough for their amazing customer service, dedication, patience (which they needed alot of with us, we were staying for Oktoberfest in Leavenworth, so naturally, there was a great deal of intoxicated shenanigans), and just down right impeccable service. Sarah was kind, knowledgeable, and prompt, and even shared her candy with me. Matt was also very prompt, and to the point, and was quick to tend to whatever we needed, hence, bringing me to Sue, whom kindly obliged in driving me to the grocery in the hotel shuttle. Rachel and Tim were our bar tenders, and oh so patient with us as well. Rachel even let me fold and toss paper airplanes in the bar. My father was up visiting from AZ, and just the whole experience with him, and the service from your staff made our stay so much more fun and memorable. The rooms and lobby were very clean, the beds comfortable, and the housekeeping was amazing too. TV was a little outdated, but really, who goes on vacation to watch TV? Overall, our experience was better than at any other hotel we've stayed in, and that's saying something, we travel quite a bit. I will definitely be staying again, should we be back that way, and highly recommend anyone to stay here. I stayed here 6 yrs ago. It was a legit Red Lion then, but now its showing wear, getting outdated. The tv's are still 'tube'. And the restaurant out front is gone. Breakfast is now your typical holiday inn Express type.

The place is Wonderful If you ask me, very clean and cool air when entering the room on a HOT day in Wenatchee. The only thing I didn't like is the 1st floor has NO GOOD SERVICE… and when I wanted to get moved up stairs it seemed like the front desk had a Attitude about. But overall experience Was perfecto!

Rooms were big and the courtyard was beautiful. Staff were nice. Didn't try out the pool/hottub area. There were ants in the bathroom and bedroom area, a lot of ants. I would not stay there again.

Needs some updating but it was clean. Air conditioned, breakfast was good amd fresh, staff was helpful. Quick to respond. Do wish breakfast was included in stay though.

Matt Brown at the front desk was rude and condiscending. The breakfast was just awful, and we will never stay there again. If you have a choice go somewhere else.

Horrible! Apparently, according to the bartender/waiter/room service/chef assistant, the motel was just recently purchased by new owners and they're in the process of fixing all the problems and improving the place however, we were told it is not a Red Lion Corporate Hotel any longer, so I pray they're going to improve and fix it up to Red Lion standards. Martini list was removed from my menu while attempting to order, as it's not "that kind of bar", shortage on liquor, due to convention the week before and the fact supplies take 1+ weeks to stock. Bartender, Mike, was gone quite frequently as he is also the chef's assistant and room service delivery person so if bar is busy, there is no room service. We ordered our food to go and with no salt and pepper in sight and having to saw my chicken florentine with my plastic knife and fork on my Styrofoam container, I was not very happy! It's a long way back to the bar and we knew we couldn't order room service as people had just arrived at bar when we were leaving. I am embarrassed and extremely disappointed as this was the first time in 4+years my fiance and I stayed at a motel. I told him " you can always count on Red Lion when you don't know an area"! I look like a big liar.

Stayed in the summer and in December. They need to replace very old tube tv. Old crapy TV would have been ok if the cable wasn't so fuzzy and had diagonal waves. Not cool watching a Seahawks game. Great place for kids and small dogs.

I don't know how people can rate this hotel as a 3 star. I think its because the see the size of it. The staff are not friendly and the TV's are from the 80's couldn't hardly watch mine. Also if you don't pay the premium price you have to pay for your breakfast. I have stayed in about 20 hotels in the past 3 months and this is the worst 3 star ever. I am here now.

A curious place reminiscent of a hotel of faded glory. We stayed one night. The room was comfortable enough, right next to the pool. Room was spacious and decent value. Location. Sited in an area of ugly malls but at least you don't need to go far for food and services. Recommended.

Good hotel! The pool and whirlpool are also very good. We liked our stay here.

The things that happen there. I stayed there on 1 occasion the room was dirty and my son found a used condom under the bed as he was putting his shoes on uhh just gross. Their staff was very rude especially the grave yard front desk woman was awful. We asked for a new room do to fact that we were in front of a party room, she said the only room left were jr. Suites and we would have to pay way more for them to change us rooms. I guess they have bnsf men that stay there and the man from across our room overdose on god knows what. He was carried out by ER and looked like he was dead smell like he was that for sure. Ps that was room 3101 by the noisy grizzly bar? I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to families with small kids it’s just not safe. Worked for BNSF and was issued a room that was bug infested as well as pubic and other body hair. Management took their sweet time to avoid me and to issue me a new room. Management’s solution was to move me but not offer any services to wash my clothes and belongings that were also infested. To add insult to injury, this same manger defamed me to protect the Red Lion contract with BNSF. This cost me my job as well as contaminating my home when I arrived there. Try explaining that to your wife and kids. This hotel is filthy and so is their Grizzly Bar (I don't think they have ever cleaned the counter under the blender and registers).
