I just left my week-long stay at the Best Western and to say I am in shock would be an understatement. I spent very good money at this establishment, over $700 total for the week and was just forced to leave by the general manager Bria without any kind of explanation. The front desk clerk called me this morning and told me that I had to leave. Bria was not here and said that she would not be calling me to explain why. I am very ill and up here by myself for treatment for chronic Lyme disease. Anyone that knows anything about chronic lyme disease knows that it causes the level of debilitation that cancer does and is a very serious illness. I am legally disabled and to be treated this way is unfathomable. Last night at 10:30 my boyfriend Nick called me and told me that the front desk girl Wendy had spoken with him and said that she complained that he was calling in too much and that the management would be talking to me about this today. He manages the clinic that I go to for treatment and is helping to oversee my medical care. It's very important that I am in touch with him regularly. I have never had an issue about this at any other hotel that I stayed at. So I called down to speak with her about this and she was very rude and unprofessional saying to me the same thing she said to Nick. I told her that I did not appreciate her tone and attitude towards me. Then she said to me with an extremely condescending disrespectful attitude "oh and by the way from now on if you need something for your room you can come down and get it yourself Nobody will be bringing it up to you. " I was in absolute shock. Since the first day I had gotten there she gave me nothing but an attitude and was very unfriendly and unprofessional. Women are very catty with each other like this sometimes and ts obvious that it was her who caused the manager to force me to leave without any reason or explanation as I had no issues with anyone else there. She is a troublemaker and does not belong working with the public. I was a good guest I did not cause any problems there, I literally stayed in bed all week and only asked maybe three or four times the whole week for a couple of things such as toilet paper and plastic cups. I had asked for water and cups when Wendy was on her shift and she sent somebody up to me, a bald man about in in his early 40's with just cups. When I had asked him if he had the water he very rudely said to me no I don't and there's a vending machine right there if you want to get it yourself. So I said oh I had water brought to me The other night are you all out? And he said yes we have to get more. Later on that night when Wendy was no longer on her shift I asked the front desk man if they had water at the front and he said yes and brought me up a bottle. So the had lied to me about not having any water and this was obviously because of Wendy once again causing problems. It seems that she was speaking negatively about me for some reason which I have no idea why because I've been nothing but nice to her but anytime she was on there was nothing but issues and attitudes. It seems that there is always one of these types of people in a working environment, essentially a bad apple that spoils the bunch. Thankfully the other workers were very nice though other than that man that brought me the cups and the manager Bria. This is discrimination against a disabled person and it is beyond unforgivable the way that I was treated today. Very poor management and Wendy does not belong working there at all. If I ran that place she would be fired instantly.
