Staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Great hotel for the price. Staff was extremely friendly making conversation with my 3 year old twins and making them laugh. Clean room, hot shower, couldn't ask for more.

It's ok. Good owners rooms have very old furniture. Good for a night sleep. Cheap price. My room had a leaky faucet and very noisy fridge.

Was clean and comfortable. It had good air conditioning (it's the kind that blows cold). Room looked a little dingy, but if all you need is a place to sleep for a night while traveling, it was acceptable.

Old, dirty and upcharged due to an event in the area. Almost all the hotels were booked so they robbed us by charging us Ramada or Hyatt prices. Carpets stained (probably by someones dog), shower looked nasty so we chose to skip the shower until our next destination. The beds & linens were clean, not the most comfortable but acceptable. Great, convenient location but old dirty motel. We'd probably go to 2 or 3 stars if we weren't charged twice what this place is worth. $50-$60/night for a room with two double beds would be acceptable, $112/night because there was an event nearby is not. Lesson learned. Book elsewhere early and we will NEVER stay at this Econolodge again when passing through.

I stopped here, just needing a place to sleep (almost midnight) for a few hours during a 12-hour drive. I was blown away by the place; the young man who checked me in was courteous and professional. I asked for a ground floor room and he gave me one. When I walked into the room, it smelled clean, not perfume-like. The bed was extremely comfortable. The shower was great, the room fridge was cold, the place was quiet, all-in-all I loved my inexpensive stay here. I originally picked this place because I had seen positive reviews on Google and as it turned out, I did the right thing by staying here. Pleased as I can be. I met the "owner"? the next morning checking out and told him how pleasantly surprised I was. Just FYI, I am a Platinum member of the Choice Hotels program so I spend my fair share of time in hotel rooms and this one rated a full five stars. I did not partake of any breakfast offerings.

I was traveling with a puppy to give to my daughter who lives in Miami. I did not need very much. Just a place to sleep and a bit of grass to walk the pup so she could do her business. My first pleasant surprise was when the lady at the desk refunded me $10. She had uncovered a minor discrepancy in my registration and I had over-paid. She could have very easily kept the money and I would have never known. My second surprise was the quality of the showers. The water pressure was generous, the hot water nearly instantaneous and the flow rate was like standing under Niagara Falls. Finally, the day manager was obviously "on deck" during the morning start-up. He was everywhere. I saw him pop into the breakfast room to check food levels. I saw him walking the second floor. I saw him cruising around the parking lot. He was pleasant and was asking the guests if there was anything he could do to make the last little bit of their stay more enjoyable. I also suspect that he was hoping to pick up information about any emerging issues so he could address them before the next day's guests arrived. This is not an expensive hotel. It does not have lots of amenities, but the beds are comfortable, the showers are Hollywood-special, the doors and locks are massive and the managers are honest and very accessible. That is more than I can ask for the price.

Good experience stayed one night with two lil ones. Clean room just old and smelled of it and a dog. But over all good and the price was good.

Clean basic and comfortable. Breakfast is a bit on the basic side as is common with a budget hotel. Decor is a bit shabby in places and Wi-Fi dropped out in the morning.

Me and the group I stayed with were treated so poorly it rattled us. The place is dirty, small, poorly lit, half the outlets didn't work, and we were charged for hanging wet clothes on our balcony to dry. The business proprietor refused to give me his name when I asked and told me he refused to speak to me regarding the charge. He then insulted one of our group members and ensured we will never stay at an econolodge again. Awful experience.

Super friendly staff and a nice clean bed for the night. Older, dated hotel; continental breakfast wasn't very much: oj, coffee, mini donuts, and mini bagels; but all of that was expected. For the price I am more than satisfied.

Please don't ever come here if you want to live comfortable life. This place gonna be first and last. There is many hotels around here go to some other places not here and don't even try… disgusting ever…

This was a perfect place for me to stay. The rates are very reasonable, the rooms were very clean and the people who run it are nice and friendly and helpful. It is a one mile drive from the motel to the little town of Wytheville where you can get a nice walk after a long drive-plus they have speakers all along the main street so you can walk or dance to music. It is close to several decent restaurants and right at the junction of I81 and I77-will remember to return.

I would rather not give this hotel any stars at all. I booked a room on Priceline last night (January 6th), not realizing that the Priceline date defaulted to January 14 on its website, instead of to the day it actually was, which was January 6th. When I called the hotel to see if they would cancel the 14th and book me for that night (the 6th) instead, the manager/owner I spoke with said I had to call Priceline instead, and that people shouldn't book with Priceline… they should book with the hotel directly. I tried to ask him another question and he proceeded to talk over me. Finally I was able to ask the question of whether, if he couldn't cancel my reservation himself, he could just allow my to stay there that night, knowing that he already had my money from booking January 14th. He refused and threatened to hang up on me. I got angry and hung up first. I called Priceline, who said they couldn't cancel without the hotel's permission. Not surprisingly, when they called the manager/owner, he refused to cancel the reservation, even after telling me I needed to call Priceline about it. Terrible customer service.

Terrible. Gross. Room was groady. Breakfast was a joke. Plenty of other motels to choose from. Do yourself a favor and choose another.

Clean, sleep well, quiet, the owners very nice and also cheap, compared to the rest.

Nice motel, but there was no coffee maker in the room. And none available upon request. Everything else was as expected.

Rooms walls were pealing, room looked super cheap. Was charged $80. Rugs were stained. Bathroom tiles were dirty, as well as the tub. Staff was very nice though.

Stayed here one night back in July after being involved in a late night 13 car accident. Thought we might need to stay an additional night due to a delay in getting a rental car. Went on line to book another night (Sat) and the cost was half of what we paid for Friday night. I went to the front desk inquiring about the price discrepancy and was told that was the going rate for last night. Hot water did not work in the shower, room smelled of smoke (supposedly a non-smoking room) and mold was visible. Great location but will never stay there again or recommend!

Perfectly fine for an Econo Lodge. Sad breakfast spread and the soap tray in the shower is poorly placed but everything was clean and working and totally as expected. When next I'm stranded and looking for cheap accommodations in central Virginia I'll stay here again.

Crooks! stay away. Gave me one price over the phone for 3 rooms, Got to the hotel within 1 hour, priced was raised by $20 for each room. Right next to this dump is a Motel 6 (1 min walk) Great prices, clean basic hotel. do not stay here, lying crooks.

Excellent price. Clean rooms. That was our main concern. This section of the highway seems very tailored to travelers. Pillows were ok. Pets are accepted here, for an additional fee. The continental breakfast was lacking: just powdered donuts, toast, bagels, coffee and orange juice.

So I'm here and the tub won't drain, they gave me the plunger to the shitter and told me to use that. I told them it feels like the drain latch is not catching. They won't move me to a different room because they are full, but the parking lot is empty. Wtf.

Easy on/off from 77. Rooms very out of date. Breakfast is minimal. It's not a great place, but you get what you pay for. We justed need a place to sleep. That's exactly what we got. Nothing more, nothing less.

Outdated and needed a better breakfast.

Due to traffic we didn't arrive until 4:15 AM but we were permitted to check out late. My only complaint was we only had 2 towels for 4 people.

It was fine for a stop and sleep while traveling, but the room was dirty and the place needs updated.

Convenient just off the highway and cheap.
