Hotel was accommodating with parking and a slightly early check in. The room was clean with hardwood floors and had all the amenities you would expect. The shower did not drain quickly and caused a backup each time, and the bed was not the most comfortable. Area seemed safe and we had a quiet evening because of it. Would definitely stay here again.

Very clean. I would stay here again and I recommend it to anyone looking for somewhere nice to stay.

I Stayed at this hotel for one night I really enjoyed my stay, my room was comfortable my bed was soft. The staff was very nice to us they help us find an easy route to our destination. The location of this hotel is perfect because they have plenty of places to eat. This hotel had a great showers too. The next time i'm in that area I will stay there again.

After driving to Richmond, VA from NC and staying overnight I was planning to stay another night and get up early to drive the last two hours the morning of the event I was attending in Washington D. C. Last minute I changed my mind and decided to drive those two hours the night before and needed to book a hotel. I chose this hotel randomly due to a deal I found on the internet and was not expecting what I got for the deal. I ended up staying 3 miles from my childhood neighborhood, which I was able to drive through and take a trip down memory lane. The accommodation was good, the staff was friendly at check in/check out and I even had some complimentary snacks prepared for me by the staff in the refrigerator when I got in my room. The next morning, I was able to sleep longer than I would have, take my time getting dressed and beat D. C traffic to arrive at my event by 7:30am. That isn't counting finding parking and walking 6 blocks. This hotel was the perfect place for an overnight stay!

It's like as if it had most of the home comforts. The staff that works there, are ALWAYS going are of their ways to help me, without asking. My wife and I, have been going to the one off Eisenhower ave, in Alexandria for several years now, since we both lived in Alexandria, Virginia for many. and many years, unfortunately, now, we have to commute every weekend, rain or snow, since we now live in New Jersey for family reason. My wife' mother has been extremely sick we'd thought by now, that HEAVEN with the. BIG MAN, by now would have been her new beautiful residence. But my wife stubborn as a Mt mules needless to say loves her mom very much. I don't blame her. Years and many MOONS ago I was there myself, and it hurt so, so bad. At the time, I was commuting from Dulles airport to Southern Italy, every month so that I would make a few dollars to to be able travel back and forth. My brother in law. Was so insanely jealous that she came to say my father her last few words. By the way. Last time. I was in Italy. It lasted more a year. I'm sorry. If I wrote so much. The point of my story is to respect and volunteer especially if it shows they need help. Do it as if it's a close relative. Believe you me that unexpected positive and wonderfull.

Room was perfect for one night. Booked room through trip advisor. Called front desk and room was $20.00 dollars more. Check in clerk had no explanation for price difference. Also, told a continental breakfast was offered. Next morning no breakfast. Told trip adviser made the mistake. The morning clerk said trip advisor had confused continental breakfast with a premium room gift box. Premium room guest box! A box found in the refrigerator with water one bottle one bottle orange juice 2 maybe 3 candy bars and a unpopped bag of popcorn. In a cardboard box with the label premium room upgrade box. We were given a $50.00 reduction in room price. $25.00 off because of the breakfast mix up. Also, a $25.00 reduction because my wife found a very big spider in the bathtub. All that being said, room was clean and neat. Bed was comfortable, air conditioning worked. All we needed for an overnight stop, on a working trip. Would rate 5 stars, but some folks might be expecting the breakfast and price point for room.

The staff was friendly when we checked in. Unfortunately we didn’t feel comfortable staying since some men were outside our room high and reeking of weed. They saw us go into our room and we just didn’t feel that safe. We don’t usually stay at motels so this may just be us being paranoid. In addition, the room wasn’t the cleanest. We had to ask to get new bed sheets and after checking out some other things such as the towels and bathroom and such, we noticed more things and just couldn’t stay. They say no refunds but the lady at the front desk understood our concerns and gave us a refund so we could cancel and find another place to stay. Overall, while the room wasn’t the best and the environment was a little sketchy, the front desk was very helpful and nice. We felt bad to ask for a refund but just had to try. So we’re glad everything worked out and that the staff was nice about it.

It was pleasantly surprised. It looks a but shady on the outside, but the rooms are nice. They were clean, quiet and I felt safe. Check in and out was easy and it was convenient to the metro and the highway.

We stayed 2 nights in Room 117 and we thought maybe it would be a little noisy being on the first floor, that close to the parking lot — but it wasn't. The room was small but had a king sized bed. The bed was very firm and the pillows we're flat but it was a good experience for the price. 20 minute cab ride during traffic to DC.

I stayed here as part of a mini get away from Pittsburgh. Staff was nice, room was perfect. If you stay there or close by you MUST order from Jerry's. Food was excellent. I ordered pizza and wing dings. Neither was greasy tasting like most places.

Convenient location, decent price, dog-friendly, clean.

The front desk staff is always welcoming, rooms are very spacious and accommodating and, outlets! Lots of outlets! Wi-Fi is decent and TV selection is limited but hits a little bit of something for everyone and is always crystal clear.

I've never been there. Although I drive past it almost every day. I live 5 minutes away. Get it together Google.

First room was extremely small. Upgraded to new room. Second room — shower would not drain (ew! ). Cigarette burns and other stains on blankets as well as sheets. Stains on floor. Rug + floor were incredibly dirty so we put socks on, which turned them black. Disappointed is not even the word for the $100+ we spent. Great location, though.

The only reason it got so low rating was because there three cockroaches in our room. We did notify the manager and they were appreciative that we let them know this. They said that they have no way of fixing the problem if people don't let them know. So hopefully they can take care of the situation room rates were not bad at all for DC. Very good central location.

This motel was booked because of the overall positive reviews, price, and proximity to the DC Metro. When my wife and arrived, we were greeted by a friendly front desk person (more on him later). We got are keys to our first room and went in. Now it is important to note that this motel is right on a freeway. We went into the room, although renovated, still smelled like cigarette smoke (all rooms are non-smoking) and you could hear the highway clearly from the room. I called the front desk to see if we could be moved to the other side of the motel, hoping for it to be a quieter. It was, but, the bedding had numerous stains and substances on it. We had seen a Holiday Inn right up the road, and I was able to get a room there. I took pictures of the bedding and went to the front desk. I showed the person behind the desk what we saw and he too was appalled and had no problem refunding my money. He is the only reason I gave this two stars. — You can hear road noise — Although non-smoking, at one time it wasn't and you can still smell it — The 2nd room was disgusting — No transport to DC Metro Station (Huntington). Although it says close, its a hilly 1.5 mile walk. — No continental breakfast — No direct way to get there if you are going South (you have to go up the highway and turnaround. + Front desk worker was very understanding and good to work with. + No parking charge.

Great customer service… and housekeepers are very nice… enjoying my stay very comfortable beds… Room service is great to.

Room was pretty small, only single bathroomed, clean though. One of our lamp bulbs was seemingly broken, however… Not sure how that happened. Overall though it was a decent place to stay, roomsize might be a bit small for some people though.

It's clean but the rooms are over 82F in the Winter. It was impossible to cool the room. We ran the A. C. In 30 degree weather to cool the room to 72F. We also asked that housekeeping not come in our room but they did anyway. I guess the best part is the room was clean and bug free.

The overnight staff have horrible customer service. The guy last night told me if I wanted to speak to a manager about my issues call tomorrow and walked away back into his little room. I couldn't believe the disrespect. He's lucky I didn't care enough to get his name! The rooms could be a lot cleaner and actually have working heat. To top it off, the rooms are ridiculously overpriced for what you get. I won't be going back. ZERO stars if I could.

Firealaram just went off in every room. They tripped. Also, the whole unit smells like cigeratte smoke in the non smoking area. It is hard to breath in general with the filtration.

I have to say that my experience at the hotel with Sarah as the hostage was great… she was very kind and very helpful… the service was good…

He did not want to respect the 30% discount as I had received by email a few days earlier. It gave me only 15%.

Wow this is a great motel! Remodeling is nice! Clean, easy to find, good area of town, VERY Helpful staff! It was a great value. We will return in spring!

Efficient and convenient. Clean room, good air conditioning, easy reservations and check in / check out. Nicer room than expected for a place with rooms opening to outside. Not a luxury hotel, but a good place to spend the night if you just need a decent place to get a shower and sleep.

Pretty sure Days Inn and Motel 6 and Super 8 are better than the Red Roof Inn "Plus"! I'd hate to see the non plus version. Bathrooms are so small, towel had a gross stain, and there was a hair on the toilet seat when I got there. I guess it could have been worse. They did have cable, a little refrigerator, and a microwave. I'm just used to staying at various Marriott properties like Courtyards, and Holiday Inn properties.

Get rid of the bullet proof glass. This is not a bad part of town, but the lobby closes at night and you check in at a bullet proof window like it's some kind of low budget brothel. Our room smelled horrible like someone had just smoked pot. Our kids started coughing when we entered the room. We walked away from a three day, non refundable reservation without spending the night. Priceline sold us a room here claiming it's a 2.5 star hotel. Nope.

Best bed I've ever slept in. I was really sad we had to leave. I loved the complementary snack box that came with a premium room. The TV was very good quality. I loved that the bathroom had a night light so I didn't have to turn the bright light on during the night. We requested a room on the 1st floor and got our choice. I don't have any complaints. It was very quiet and clean.

This place was great. The woman at the desk, I believe her name was Sarah, was a total sweetheart and helped us figure out how to get around the DC and avoid the traffic. The rooms were clean and nice. The only thing I would change is that our room didn't have a coffee pot, but honestly it didn't matter. The location is good, you're right next to the interstate. There's an abundance of resturants within a mile of the hotel and a couple of places deliver to the hotel. For the price you pay for a basic room, this place is amazing.

We were looking for somewhere cheap just to be a place to lay our heads for a night for a trip to DC. I was really pleasantly surprised. Our room wasn't quite ready for us when we got there, but we also got there right at the start of check-in time, so the young lady at the desk upgraded our room at no cost without us asking so that we could drop our stuff in our room immediately. Everything was clean, no sign of bugs, bed was comfortable, room was spacious. My only complaint is that the sound proofing in the bathroom could have been better. I went to take a nice, long bath after a day of wandering the national mall and after about five minutes someone in a neighboring room decided to shower and the noise was almost deafening, not to mention it was loud enough to make the tub vibrate. This happened any time any one in the surrounding rooms ran water of any kind. But seriously a minor complaint, and not one that I imagine will greatly impact the average traveler. This place is an excellent value, and I would definitely stay again if I was in the area.

I was at the Red Roof Inn as part of a school trip with my school class. Beds small, underground 15 minutes away, rooms clean, mostly good hotel.

Staff was nice but the room reeked of cigarette smoke. Even though it was supposedly a non smoking hotel. I guess that's expected from the cheapest hotel in the area.

Trucker motel. Found hairs in my bed that apparently came from multiple people. I mean it is cheap but it doesn't need to be trashy too.

Location is fine. Floor is filthy, the sink doesn't drain, and the shower makes a horrible grinding noise. Bed is clean, and that's what was important at the time. Overall, meh experience.

The room was good and nice furniture but it was 90 degrees outside and the "A/C" that they so call have does it not work and after walking around all day you expect to have a nice ac room to go to when it actually is worse and is not inside specially trying to sleep at night was going to ask for another room but it seemed like every room was the same so I had to deal with it for 3 nights which sucked.

Right around corner from bus stop. 1 mile from Metro rail. Very friendly service. Comfortable beds, plenty of pillows. Unfortunately, rooms show wear from disrespectful, abusive former guests.

Horrible service and rude staff. Checked in floor was dirty. Cigarette burns in bed cover. Within three hours of check in my family was asked to leave. Made up lies by the staff saying my kids were making too much noise and my dogs were barking. That's not true. I was there and nothing of that sort was true! My house was burnt down and I think I had friends helping me move my belongings in and staff made up their own minds. Smh so sad.

Don't do it. This location is extremely over priced, along with this entire area. Honestly I would avoid this entire area if possible. I paid nearly 90$ with my company discount to stay here, and the room I got smelled like marijuana. I didn't complain or say anything, but I won't ever stay here or this area again. The only reason I didn't stay somewhere else is because this hotel was so close to my job site the next day.

A month ago we visited Washington and picked this hotel through Expedia. We checked in to this hotel and immediately saw a white male in his mid 40-50 in a blue Tacoma pick up staring at us walking into the room we thought it was weird so we looked through the window for 5 minutes to see if he left. He did not and he passed by again in his car and waved at us. At this point we got all our belongings and went to the front desk to file the complaint and told the person what was happening. The car passed by again looking through the front desk window. The guy at the front desk. He didn't seem concerned at all like he didn't even call anyone to check up on it. His name was Cecil and he saw the man looking at us and did nothing. So we left and got a hotel in DC but we noticed we left our ID back there so we went back the next day. I stayed in the taxi and my sister went out to get it. When we were pulling out of the parking there he was again coming towards our car and driving towards the back of the hotel. So this guy might be looking for young girls. Disgusting and the area is pretty bad area around Washington please do not book save yourself the time and stress.

Check in was easy enough, but we immediately got asked for money the second we got to the check in counter. When we got to the room it was very hot and the heat would not stop running, even when the thermostat was turned off. Around 12 A. M. We went down to the front desk to ask about how to fix this. On the way down we saw 3 cop cars who were arresting a woman for prostituiton. Anyways we ask the night manager how to fix our heat and he said that there was nothing that could (or would) be done about it, and that we should just open the door or turn on the window AC unit. Now for the major complaint. When we were looking for a place to plug our phones in for the night we pulled back the night stand, and of all the things to find behind there we found a USED CONDOM WRAPPER! A further inspection of the showed that the tops of the pictures and lights had not been dusted in several months. We went to the night manager again to complain, but he barely seemed to care. All he did was give us a new room, not even an upgraded room (and there were several available) or credit off of our bill. In our new room the area outside of it constantly smelt like weed, the wall fixture for our shower was broken off, and of course this room had not been dusted very well either. The next morning when we checked out there was yet another used condom wrapper, this one was beside our vehicle in the parking lot.

The new look of our room was amazing but after staying the first nite and waking up there was roaches and very large spiders in our room.

You get for what you pay for simple as that. I took my family on vacation to see D. C. And New York. The room was fairly well maintained, aside for some dust here and there. There were no roaches or anything like that. Location was very ideal for Visiting D. C. And seeing all the sites. Expect to be looking for parking for about 15 to 20 mins when you get downtown. Hotel parking lot felt safe and secure. Overall, great place to stay if you are looking for something less expensive compared to staying in downtown D. C.

While staying, the staff seemed friendly enough. The room was fine. Checking in and out was simple and quick. After leaving however, I received a credit card statement a couple weeks later saying that they had charged the credit card I had showed for incidentals after I was already initially charged when I booked the hotel before I stayed. I called the hotel to sort it out and talked to a friendly employee; I explained the situation and reaffirmed that I was told at check-in that my room was already paid for. He said that he saw on my account that I was double charged and he would look into it and call me back. Over a week later, I heard nothing and called back. The associate I spoke to had no clue of the incident (showing that the employees don't tell each other about issues) and she took down my information again and promised I would be contacted by the end of the week with a solution. Once again, nobody contacted me so I called back over a week later and got another employee and was also unaware of the situation. I explained it again and asked for a manager, but the associate (named Debbie) was extremely rude and told me that I couldn't speak to a manager. She also said that there was no such double charge on my account and that I must've been lying about being asked for a credit card for incidentals because apparently that hotel doesn't (which is a lie seeing as every hotel asks for a credit card for incidentals).

Stayed in the room with bedbugs. Reported it to the manager and she gave me a raid bug spray, saying that there is no way we have bedbugs. After the second night, I went back to the manager about this issue. The manager offered to switch rooms, but when I asked her what guarantee is that this problem won't persist in a different room, she had no response. Upon checkout, I asked for refund for the first two nights spent in the bedbugs infested room, and she refused. avoid this place because shirley jordan, the general manager, is a greedy, cunning woman. Absolutely no sense of customer service, and no honor in doing business. AVOID this place at all costs. Avoid transferring bedbugs through your personal belongings and bringing them to your homes.

Roaches! And they never mop the floors in the rooms. We have a small pet and we had to take her to the emergency room next day after we checked in. She was poisoned by cigar leaves wchich I later found under the bed in our room. 100 % smoke free hotel! So we complained and asked them to clean the floor. We left our room and returned in about 5 hours. They didn't clean it. Had to complain again. They gave us another room wchich looked clean at first, but later we saw a couple of roaches running around. Never coming back at this location.

This hotel is THE WORST! They say the rooms are renovated and THEY ARE NOT! The Police come to different rooms every night, and the manager at the front desk her name is Shirley, she is RUDE and not welcoming at all. There was someone next door to us banging on the walls and they told the entire floor everyone had to leave! Seriously?!?! We had nothing to do with it and they told us we had to leave with no refund. I would advise you to NOT come to this hotel, there is a Mariott and Quality Inn right down the street and I would advise you to go here. This was the worst hotel experience we have ever had. When you pull up to the hotel you'll see by the looks of it. Stay away.

I didn't have a problem with the hotel much until I got home with bumps all over. Yup me and my 22 months old got bit while we were away and the only place we'v gone to is the hotel. I am 100% positive it was from the hotel because we stayed for 1 week. They didn't clean much, just a few times while we were there. Staff was pretty friendly, I thought and the location was good. Hmm, only if I didn't get bedbug bite, I thought this place was good.

OMG — BEYOND TERRIBLE, NEVER STAY AT THIS PROPERTY unless you want your stay to be miserable, only then go this property. We stayed at this property from March 26, 2014 for 3 nights. On second day noticed that our food was thrown away by the house keeping. When we reported that to the front desk we were being ignored as if nothing happened. Misery comes the following day when we returned bone tired to the room we found that housekeeping did not even enter the room to clean it. Reported this to front desk that the room was not cleaned and had to wait outside for more than an hour while they cleaned. After that incident, Ms. Mills at the front desk told that we will be given a gift certificate for one night free stay at any one of the Red Roof Inn which NEVER happened. After returning from the trip, called the hotel several times for the gift certificate that we were promised and the manager informed us that they had already sent the certificate from their end and if we did not receive it that is our fault. The manager (Ms. Shirley Jordan) told us that she would personally mail the certificate and will give us the tracking number which also NEVER actually happened. To sum it up it was BUNCH OF LIES. Horrible unprofessional front desk staff and manager who didnt keep her word. Strongly urge the OWNERS of this establishment to take a serious look over the security video recording on what goes on at the front desk, and it might open their eyes in order to make improvements.

We were looking for an affordable hotel for a 5 night stay outside of DC. I chose the hotel because of all of the excellent reviews and the news that they recently renovated. I had hoped that the hotel lived up to the reviews and it DID! I was very impressed with the newly renovated rooms, the cleanliness and the overall experience. Our room was cleaned every day and I felt safe in the hotel. The parking lot was well lit. The Wi-Fi was a great amenity and helped me and my boyfriend to do work while away on vacation. :-) Great hotel for a great price.

Not bad, but can improve on some things. I really think they need carts or trolleys. I know most hotels with balconies don't have them, but it is inconvenient when you are on the third floor. I asked a cleaning lady if she could lend me her cart, but she said no, lol. The over bed lamps were cool. Room was decent. I don't like automatic restroom vents though. No breakfast, just coffee.
