Review of The Breakers Resort Inn 2*

Just returned from a wonderful trip to Virginia beach. I can not say enough good things about this hotel. I will say if your looking for the Hilton then head up the beach and pay double or triple. If your looking for a clean, friendly and quiet place to stay for a reasonable price. Then this is perfect. Its location couldn't be better, central to everything. The staff was great, (American) family owned, always a plus. Anything we asked for they did. My kids noticed the owners personal boogy boards and asked to use them all before I could correct them they handed them over, asking only that we made sure they found their way home. You don't find service like that anymore. The cleaning staff was great, fresh towels everyday first thing and filled any request right away. They have a nice restaurant in the hotel that is open for breakfast and lunch. Try to find a cheaper meal on the strip and the food was good. Yes, the elevator is slow. Your on vacation, relax it gets you there. The weather was not the best one of the days we were there and they posted rainy day vacation ideas in the elevator, nice touch. The building isn't the newest or the greatest but you can tell the family puts their heart and soul into making it nice. I stayed here because of other reviews that said this is the only place they and their family stay. Now I can agree, if my family is in Virginia beach, then breakers will be our home while we are there. Thank you to the staff for helping make my kids first trip to the ocean memorable.
