Don't stay at this Hampton Inn! The one on the North end of the beach is far nicer. This location is a second-rate franchise one. The carpets are filthy on the floor levels, the outside parking area and front of hotel is sketchy and creepy. Worst of all, the staff is rude and unresponsive to concerns. I stayed with my family and my kids wanted to swim in the indoor pool in between beach. (My son is 3 and scared of the ocean water still). 1st day we checked at breakfast time and stuff was floating in the dirty water. Front desk says it was cleaned every morning and that she'd call me when it was done. Hours go by, she says its clean but its still filthy. The maintenance man finally decided to clean it properly and it was so dirty it took hours more to clean — not done until 4:30pm. I think he literally had to drain the pool. We never got to swim that day. Next day we go to swim and it is almost 90 degrees in the pool area so I ask them to adjust the temp. Maintenance man said, "tell them to go get in the ocean! " The pool was still filthy — I told a manager and they offered to discount my total stay costs. Fine. But insult to injury, he didn't give me the whole promised discount and won't provide a receipt of charges. I called back to ask about it & request a receipt (2x) — they never sent it.
