We went there for Labor Day weekend. The landscaping was nice, and the building looked beautiful; however, it is a different story with the management and staffs there. When we were checking in, the lady at the front desk gave us a room with queen sized bed. We asked if there is a room that has king-sized bed available, and if so, we would like to have that one. She told us yes there is a room available, but because we booked our room from a wholesaler, we need to pay additional fee if we want to switch. So for people who book online from Obitz, pricelilne or any other website, it does not matter what preference you have, you will not get what you preferred for the price you paid. I have to say the hall way decor was nice and clean, but our room smelled like an old library. There was random yellow stains on the blanket, and there was no hand soap in the bathroom. I called the front desk and asked them to change the blanket and bring some hand soap over, that never happened. The two nights we were there we had no clean blanket. We had to use the bed sheet and went got hand soap from a store. If you come here a family vacation, the Founders Inn is a nice place. There is a lot of outside space for your kids and family to hang out. However, if you come here for a nice quiet gateway, this is not a place. During the time we were there, there were unsupervised children screaming and chasing each in the hallway from early in the morning to almost midnight. We called the front desk to ask if they could ask the parents to take their kids outside, that never happen. I will not return to the Founders Inn or recommend this place to anyone.
