When I first arrived, I noticed the AC made a horrible loud screechy, whiny noise. I asked the front desk when I went down for dinner if someone could look at it and I was told that is just what they sound like. When I got back I couldn’t find parking in their lot. I double parked to run inside to see what I should do… I was told to park 2 blocks away and walk back through a questionable neighborhood, homeless people sleeping on the sidewalk, and road construction to get to the hotel. As a woman alone late in the evening, I did not feel at all safe. When I got into my room and was getting ready for bed, I noticed the AC wouldn’t adjust off the bitter cold setting so I figured I’d just have to deal with it. I got into the bed and found the 2 pillows provided on the full bed were flat as a pancake. I had to fold them over and stack them with the questionably laundered decorative pillow in order to sleep on my side without my head tilting down uncomfortably. Thank goodness I did not have to share the flat as a pancake pillows. Also to my chagrin, there was no blanket to be found, only 2 flat sheets on the bed. I woke up at 3am freezing and had to put sweat pants and a sweatshirt on to be able to go back to sleep. I figured, while I was awake in the middle of the night, I’d try to get the AC to adjust again. I turned it off and turned it back on before I could finally get the buttons to kind of work and adjusted it up about 7 degrees.

Staying here now very clean very nice little hotel super comfortable beds nice people work here would definitely stay here again love the roof lounge area an ocean views close to everything.

I guess the night teller just called it a night, had a problem at my room and there was no one to help out, I stand at the front desk for about an hour and no one showed up. This place is garbage.

This place is HORRIBLE, it looks like an old apartment building with extremely small and cluttered rooms. The customer service regarding the refunds they promise is a JOKE and have ruined our entire trip!

Not Oceanfront but basically one street away from being so. Location was not a problem but the parking next to the building itself is a little tricky as the lot is small and crowded. 19 Atlantic has a remote overflow parking lot a couple blocks down, the walk is not bad. I'm not familiar with all of their room layouts but I had a very small room with a microwave, mini fridge, a good size TV, a chair and a mirror, a bed good enough for two people, and a nightstand with alarm clock, lamp, etc. It was all we needed. Bathroom connected to the small room with pretty standard features one would expect in a hotel bathroom. I wish it had some counter space around the sink. That was the only thing it lacked. Air conditioning cooled the room more than adequately. I would stay here again.

My husband and I stayed here for a short, little getaway weekend trip. The whole experience was pretty awful; but thumbs up to customer service for trying to accommodate us because none of the issues were their fault. However, the hotel has some MAJOR issues. First of all, I hate that they ripped the carpet out and put tile floor in the bedrooms because there is so much sand. Next, the air conditioning units have problems. The first room they put us in had a potent moldy smell coming from the AC unit and we asked to switch rooms; and the AC unit, in second room we were moved to, leaked all over the place if you turned it down below 75 degrees. Finally, the hotel had major water pipe issues! The second night we stayed there, the second floor ceiling had a water pipe break; several of the rooms were flooded, including ours, and they had trashcans lining the hallways. The staff put us in a third room, which we refused to stay in because of another moldy smell. Needless to say, we got a refund and had to stay the second night somewhere else. I won't be going back to this hotel. It certainly needs some work and upgrades! It would be better to pay the extra money and stay on the ocean.

The room service was really bad we had to ask for towels every day. They never even came to our room even when we put the sign on our door that said service please. The room wasn't really clean when we got there the floor was very sandy. Will not go back too this hotel. For the price should have been better service. There was no Exhaust fan in the bathroom and the a/c didn't hardly even cool the room down.

Cute room. No issues or complaints besides the bathroom being tiny & mold on the walls by the ceiling in the shower (there is no fan in the bathroom) Did have ants the last day bc of crumbs on a napkin. Great location too. Central to all kinds of stuff & very close to the beach. I will go back & recommend to others.

The room size was a little small, especially the bathroom, but the outside third-floor deck was a nice feature, the room was comfortable, the staff was nice, and the aesthetics were good too. Plus the location was absolutely perfect; centrally located within walking distance to great shops and restaurants. The parking situation was a little difficult too, but I still give them four stars compared to the hotel I spent the night at before for the same price. In VA Breach expect to pay a little more for hotel space, especially during the weekend.

We stayed here when we visited Virginia Beach for Memorial Day weekend. This place has some bad reviews but I'm not sure why. We didn't have any issues with it. The staff is pretty nice. The room is a decent size. Not huge but not super tiny either. The bathroom is a little on the small side but not too bad. There is a deck on the roof you can hang out on so that's pretty cool. It's not right on the beach but it's literally one street away so it's almost as good. You can walk to pretty much anything you need (the beach, restaurants, stores, etc. ). We were in room 208 which faces the street and it did get pretty loud at night but like I said, it was also Memorial Day weekend and there were tons of events out there, so that isn't the hotel's fault. Overall it's a pretty good place to stay. I'd happily stay there again. :)

This hotel was horrible! There were no windows, no blankets, the sheets had stains, the AC was so loud we were hardly able to sleep. The shower took 30 minutes for the hot water to come through. Lastly, the maid just barges right in our room while we were sleeping even though we yelled we were sleeping when she knocked. Best advice I can give ya is DONT STAY HERE!

Rooftop deck is sweet! Great customer service 2nd shift. Bring blanket for fullsize bed there are none available.

My 1st stay n I enjoyed the staff very helpful, polite n friendly, the room standard full size bed smaller than what I'm use of haven also a small close-in shower with mold on the ceiling. When checking out I mentioned about the shower ceiling again professional but everything else was good. I'd stay again in the near future but will upgrade 2 more space!

It's clean and cheap. For the price, clean is a good thing. The rooms are tiny. The heater/ac makes an awful sound and does not actually produce heat which we needed in April. The bar downstairs provides a dull roar of music until 2 am Friday and Saturday nights. I'm not sure of the hours during the week. We solved the problem by joining the party. It wasn't really our scene but the people watching was good and the drinks plentiful. I'd stay here again for the price and location for another girls weekend. It might not be the best for a. Quieter crowd. Oh! The tile hallways look beautiful, however, the tiles are slick and uneven making for a treacherous walk.

Staying for two nights, April 20-21. I am very disappointed with the room and the hotel. Room is tiny, 8X8 or so. The bathroom is tiny. The room has no curtains and the brown broken blinds are terrible. The cold coming from the window is very uncomfortable. The double bed is the smallest I’ve ever seen and the mattress is hard and the pillows are hard and bulky. The hallway is so narrow that it makes me uncomfortable, I don’t like small narrow spaces. If you are looking for a good place to stay near the beach for good value, this is not it! Being comfortable and getting a good night sleep is worth the extra cost. Trust me, you can do better. Only thing I can say is that it’s one block from the beach, but for me it’s not worth it. We paid $198.52 for two nights and it’s not peak season and it is a cold weekend. Will not be returning!

Convenient to beach… very small rooms… double beds with only a sheet for warmth, no queen so small… loud through windows… folks working desk were very nice but for the price honestly would not stay there again.

Clean room, clean hotel, very good price for the room but it is a small room. If parking is full behind hotel then you must park in alternate parking down the street but for the price you can beat it!

My boyfriend and I stayed here last minute because of issues with our previous hotel reservation at another location… But this was by far the worst hotel I have stayed in. I'm employed by Marriott, so I'm well aware of what a hotel should be like. First of all, the hotel is filthy. The AC sounded like a truck parked in our room, there was a blood stain on the sheets & some yellow gooey stuff like melted into our sheets… We just took them off the bed and managed to sleep through it. And the best part of our stay was the young girl who told me to park in the parking lot ONE behind the parking lot directly next to hotel. So I did, and after a terrible sleep in a gross bed I woke up to my car NOT in the parking lot I was told to park in. So not only did I stay in this dirty hotel, my car got towed & I had to pay 145 to get it out. And when I spoke to the man working the front desk the next morning about it, he was rude and basically told me "No she did not tell you to park there, you were supposed to park in 'x' parking lot" YES SIR CLEARLY I UNDERSTAND I WAS NOT SUPPOSED TO PARK THERE WHEN I WAKE UP TO MY CAR GONE. Rude, nasty, and terrible service. And for the record, I NEVER leave reviews. Especially not bad ones. So for me to leave this is a lot.

Racially profiled. Accused of being the basis for customer complaints. Refused entry to room, accused of damaging property and asked to leave premises premutarely. Told there was video proof for the accusation but couldn't produce any evidence. Unprofessional management will definitely never support this establishment again.

They charged my card wrong when I checked in. Despite many no smoking posters, room wreaked of smoke. There was mold growing on the wall and I'm pretty sure contributed to getting sick. Weird, I guess, pipe sounds? They matched the struggling air-conditioning noises of the broken HVAC. Opened window blinds to a sweet view of an outdoor staircase. Parking was a very small spot next to the building and when that filled you had to park two blocks away. I guess a piped burst because there was some kind of leak and puddle in the hallway. I almost gave it two stars only because the staff was friendly and there was a decent rooftop smoking area that you can look between the hotels on the beach and see some water.

The staff is great Everytime we left or came back we felt welcomed or like we would be missed. The room was great. And the outdoor sitting area is amazing between the view and the peacefulness who could ask for more. Too bad they close in a week or we would be here every week.

Great place for the cost. While we were there, there was some kind of street performers that performed every night during the week. They were entertaining but the ones that were performing right outside our window were drummers. Unfortunately we had to hear them perform every night that week till 10 p. M. It might not have been that bad but one of our windows was broken which let in a lot of more sound than it should have. Even still, it was a great place for the price. Small room, small bathroom but we didn't spend a whole lot of time there anyways. Friendly staff and clean.

Lovely hotel. Good area, the walk to the beach was quick. The staff gave us a slightly bigger room when they heard that we were bringing our bikes. No windows, but I was completely fine with it because it made the room pitch black for bedtime which helped my 5 year old sleep in a bit.

This is a horrible hotel. Noisy, rude staff, not enough linen in room, not enough parking, no pool. Will never stay here again.

Tonia and I really enjoyed our stay at 19 Atlantic. Very friendly staff treated us just like family. The rooms were very comfortable and clean, great view from the roof patio, very convenient location close to everything. Many thanks for a great stay.

Perfect location. In the center of everything. You go right across the street and through walkway and you are at the beach. The hotel was very nice and clean. Loved the rooftop view of the ocean. I will definitely make this the place to stay and it was very affordable considering the higher priced hotels in the same area.

The staff was great. The first room they sent us to was not good. The door brushed the bed, it was that close to the door and the security lock didnt work. Front desk was more than happy to give us anotjer room. Only 2 problems with the next room was the AC made a horrible noise and the window, which opened to a roof didn't lock. Even though the room had issues the staff was great and friendly.

Traveled here last week with my friends for a post-college graduation trip. Booked through AAA to get the 10% off (which you can also get by calling and booking directly with the hotel) and got a 1 bed and sofa bed room. Check-in was fast and easy. The staff here are AMAZING! When we went to set up the sofa bed in our room it was covered in sand, we told the young woman at the front desk and she immediately upgraded us to a 2 bed room which had views of the beach! We were expecting just to have the bed mattress changed out in the original room, but our expectations were surpassed! Every time we would walk by the staff we were greeted and usually had short conversations. They were all super nice and hospitable! The hotel is SO close to the beach, it is literally across the street! Will definitely be staying here again! Everything is clean and well-taken care of!

Hotel was ok, near the beach and in a great location to everything. Parking was poor, staff took spots closest to hotel, leaving customers to park a couple of blocks away in what seemed like an unsecured lot. The a/c made a funny noise and the Windows didn't have blackout panels so light poured in around the blinds. The bathroom was so small if you could barely turn around and had a small step up into it, just enough to stub your toe and trip. There was no coffee maker in the room and there was supposed to be some made in the lobby, I guess it was like the parking, first come first serve. Also the hall carpet was filthy and stained. For the price, I would have expected nicer.

Booking this hotel I was nervous because of the reviews, but my boyfriend and I had a pleasant stay. We got one room with two double beds and our view was facing the beach. You could hear stuff going on outside but the night life dies down around 10-11 so it didn't disturb our sleep. The room was clean and cozy, yes the bathroom was small but we didn't mind it. The beds were comfortable and the pillows were soft. We stayed from Friday to Sunday and we loved how we were able to walk everywhere instead of needing to drive. The front staff was friendly and the rooftop patio was pretty nice. Price wasn't too horrible either, I would recommend it and i'd definitely stay there again.

Nice rooms and service for the price. Very close to the beach. Front desk staff was helpful. Most parking is a few blocks away, which is typical for beach hotels but still a bit difficult. Overall would recommend.

This hotel did have a nice location and it was clean, that's about the end of positive things I can say about it. We payed extra to upgrade from a double bed to a queen bed, our room was a double bed but we just told the front desk guy we would like the difference back that we paid instead of dealing with moving rooms since we were only staying one night. In addition to the wrong size room the TV in our room didn't work which we also complained about at checkout. Was never refunded any money.

I visited this hotel with a couple of my friends and I was scared by all the bad reviews and pictures on the web but I went in with an open mind. So the location of the hotel is perfect it's located across the street from the beach and it's right there for all the late night action. The staff was great my favorite Front Desk workers was Sy and the famous guy name Trey. All my friends knew him by trey and if you couldn't find him all you had to find the magic red slippers lol. He's a cool guy with a great head on his shoulders and he has a smile that will steal your wife or girl friend. I enjoyed myself alot and I love how the guys play 2k in the lobby it shows there team is a family a gang full of brothers hope to see you guys Beach Week! — WhiteJesusOut.

Price and location are great. Friendly staff, and right across the street from the beach. Best 2-star hotel I've stayed at.

A convenient spot near the beach and clubs, but the cleanliness of this establishment was poor. They are not thorough in their cleaning at all! there was a dirty diaper behind my mattress. The bathroom is small. No pool or any other luxury like accommodations… service was negotiable. I was not satisfied at all. The pictures do match what the rooms look like but its smaller than it appears. The whole building was disgusting. I for one will not ever stay at that hotel again. The price and quality was not worth it. The only good thing about this hotel was the location for near the boardwalk. Oh and I almost forgot. It says that it was beach front… No… the beach is across the street. So not a bad walk at all but has the worst view ever… I did not want to look out my window and see a nasty stair case that is probably not even safe to use.

The hotel is listed as a 3 star but that rating is overblown. There is minimal parking on site and then you have to travel 2 blocks down to the alternate parking lot. In the brief interaction we had with the staff they seemed more concern with watching youtube videos than accommodating the guests. It was faster to walk up the 3 winding flights of stairs than to wait for the elevator. The room was cramped and claustrophobic and if you have any size ot you then you wouldnt fit in the cramped commode alcove. There was wiring visible in the corner of the bathroom and the bathroom door opened to block access to the dresser in the room. They offer free Wi-Fi but don't tell you that it is firealed so if you wanted to watch any streaming video sites, that won't happen. Over all experience is.

While on a road trip across the United States this is one of the places that we ALMOST had to stay at. My mom and I walked in the room and immediately walked right back out. It was that bad… On the way to the room there was a funky stench that was everywhere and getting to our room was like going through a maze. Then once we got into the room we saw the walls were clearly covered in nasty dirt from the many people that had been forced to stay here. The carpets had stains so bad that you couldn't even tell what color it was supposed to be. The bathroom door was inches away from hitting the bed and the door was mini to begin with, then once in the bathroom you could barely move around to use it. We left and found a different hotel across the street. Within 30 minutes we booked the new hotel for our stay and then returned to cancel our reservation for 19 Atlantic. The guy at the front desk didn't even seem surprised with our canceling or any of our reasons why, he said that we would have to return tomorrow to talk to the manager about a refund but that it shouldn't be a problem because we hadn't even had the room for a full 30 min. Next day the manager refused to give us any refund at all, then after arguing he finally said he would refund 2 of the 3 nights but that he wouldn't refund us for the night we got there. Maybe it wouldn't have been so bad if the going rate was $80 or less a night but it was $160 for the night that we didn't even stay there.

Nice place good for a short time and budget friendly. Close to the beach and right on the boardwalk. Staff are great. Would stay again but only a night or two and with out a kid. It's a bit small and kinda old looking.

Cheaper than most and clean. In the middle of the strip. If you like simple, then this is your ideal place.

It has cute little rooms and the people were really nice, I would definitely go back. The only thing not so great was the parking otherwise, ✅✅.

Nice hotel for the beach vicinity location and price. Read the room details very closely, some rooms have no window, one small bed (small full), actually across the street from the beach (no oceanfront view), and you are automatically charged for a room safe whether you use it or not. The manager and most of the staff are very nice, but there are two young guys that work the desk during the day that are total idiots. They tried to charge me a higher rate than what I confirmed, terrible at explaining hotel policies and charges, told me charges couldn't be removed for things I didn't use, parked in the middle of the lot blocking guest cars, and made it extremely difficult to get a UPS package sent to the hotel. It was obvious they were new but customer service skills were something they totally lacked. Other than them, my stay was good. Oh yeah, my room had a leak and my AC stopped working but the maintenance guy fixed them quickly and after the time he was supposed to leave for the day.

Very nice location. It is located right in the middle of all the action. About a 5 minute walk to the beach. Free but limited parking next to the hotel. They have a another free parking location about two blocks from the hotel. Very friendly staff. Rooms are small and no Wi-Fi. (wired connection available) Overall I feel like I got what I paid for. (Paid about $100 per night).

DO NOT STAY HERE! I had my credit card charged for two rooms when I only stayed one night. I could have stayed at the Hilton Ocean Front for the same price. I have been trying for a month to get my money back to no avail. My bank has even faxed twice the debit withdrawl and still no luck. And to beat it all they put a 1 dollar charge on my card for use of a safe I did not even use or see in the room. Ill repost if I ever get my money back but seriously over a month I doubt I will. Oh and only bring 1 car because you have to pay for parking otherwise. If the manager is reading this the reservation was for Jody Marion and I would appreciate my money back.
