Might be an older hotel but we'll worth the price. Always clean. Comfortable beds. Only problem is non smoking rooms seem right next to smoking ones. Not against smoking but don't want to smell it.

Pretty good value for the inexpensive cost. The bathroom surfaces were clean but the floor was dirty, it looked honestly like it may have been forgotten during cleaning. The shower was hot with good water pressure. The A/C worked well. The fridge and microwave worked well but were not very clean. We had some flies in the room but no other bugs like some have mentioned. My key card lost its programming every single day which was a pain in the butt and why I'm giving 3 instead of 4 stars.

They have made recent upgrades to bring the interior newer and cleaner to make the experience comfortable and relaxing. I was happy with the facilities and the beds were comfortable.

Computers were down both upon check in and check out. Staff wrote down my credit card number and copied my driver's license, which was sketchy. No toiletries offered in room besides one shampoo. No wash cloths. Only a handful of channels. Room smelled pretty musky and stuffy. Luckily I carry febreeze everywhere. Brown comforter was very worn from too many uses and washes. Decent place to woend the night, but you can get a better room for a better price elsewhere I'd say.

Anything you read isn't true. This is the worst place I have ever stayed. To be honest, this night, I believe I would of prefered a tent. They are drilling and hammering above, I called the front desk 3 times. Each time they promised to resolve it. They didnt. Mind you it's 7pm. The only reason I'm giving it one star is because it would let me post without it.

Mold. Mold. Mold. And people in Virginia are a new kind of dumb. Unclean rooms, moldy AC, bathroom and dirty beds. BETTER OFF AT MOTEL 6! EDIT FOR THE OWNER: Not mistaken… At all… You guys are naaassssssty. And ignorance doesn't equal hospitality. Thanks :)

Terrible place to stay! Hair in the tub and sink, toilet was broken, dirt and hair all over the floor. Wi-Fi didn't work and no parking. Not worth $91/night. Not worth 5 bucks per night. Someone kept ringing our room phone.

Wish I had stayed at Motel 6. Bathroom not completely cleaned after last visitors. Refrigerator wouldn't work, $8.00 extra added to our bank account after we had checked out and had receipt in hand. Refused to take anything of for non-working refrigerator. Won't stay at this place again.

Nice, clean rooms. Good location. Nearby food spots, shopping and highway. Safe and pretty cool view.

RUN! Being from South Carolina, I learned the hard way what a Nor'easter was… Twice… But this hotel stay was by far the worst part of the entire trip! First I call because I'm looking for Wi-Fi. My kids have been on the road a while and just wanted to play their video games. Leaving fairly early so I wasn't too concerned about a budget type room. The desk clerk said there would be no problem. Hi-speed internet. Great! In the parking lot, there is a homeless man at the foot of the stairs with a dog. We have to carefully ease around him because he didn't move over and because the dog was acting nippy. (Small dog) Then he asks us to buy something. Get into the room and my kid's try to get online. The internet was so slow they couldn't even pull up the login page. I try and it says you CAN pay $3.00 for better internet. I send the boys to ask the desk clerk about it with the $3.00and he says no we can't and that they couldn't get online with their games. I would have stayed somewhere else! But we're tired so… Reading their in room book and it says if we're having trouble with internet to call this company. I call and after trouble shooting the tech says oh… We don't do service for them anymore. But he still tried to help me out. After a little while I notice I'm freezing. The AC unit is not blowing out any heat. Just cold air.

Good place to stay, reasonable rates nice staff and a good location.

I would not recommend staying here unless your about to die. I found four cockroaches in my room and had to throw away all my food I packed for work. Toilet was completely broken and didn't flush. Half the channels on the TV had no sound and the landline phone didn't work. They don't restock the coffee area so after making a cup to go I found there to be no sugar or lids. Wi-Fi was so slow I couldn't even connect. Only giving it 1 star because it's the lowest rating they allow.

Very comfortable & clean, check out is 11 but most of the time they will let you sleep in until noon or 1 if you check in late. Friendly staff.

I'm currently staying at this hotel for 2 weeks for work and I've seen NO BUGS and rooms are cozy, walls could use a little TLC but all in all good place to stay. Manager and his wife very nice and friendly, front desk staff very helpful too, Maids don't understand English and are not friendly at all. My opinion, Good hotel with good people. I would stay here again. Very Close to restaurants and shopping.

Very friendly Staff, very conveniently located, rooms are clean and comfortable. Needs an additional ice machine. Washer and dryer needs to be updated. Does not clean clothes. Made clothes look dirtier. Would come back to stay if I were to come back to Virginia.

I chose this lodge because my first choice was full. I was not going to write a review, because it was about what I expected. However, I needed to print something out to attend an open house at JMU. No where did I see a sign posted when the "business office" (a computer on a desk against a little wall) was available and when not available. I went in in the morning to print off a form and was told I could not print that or use the "business office" until breakfast was over at 9:30. What? If I had known that, I would have printed it the night before. When I explained that I needed a form for an event that morning, she simply told me I could come back at 9:30. Seriously? So, not only was that a thing, but we couldn't use the sink in our bathroom. My son washed his hands when we first got there and the water never went down. Needless to say we had to use the bathtub to wash our hands and brush our teeth. There also was no coffee in our room for morning coffee. I did not bother to ask for any because we were not staying long at the hotel. A little customer service could have gone a long way, but evidently that's not a thing at this motel.

Roach infested motel and staff is fully aware. On the. Busiest weekend of the year for them the manager was no where to be found. Nor would he call my cell. There were holes in ceiling where you see roaches go in and out. Coffee maker was fully infested. Brown tweed carpet was not by mistake. They blend in fairly well. There is visible black mold throughout. You'll sleep in your car. During a major school event drive the 5 miles and get a cleaner place. Honestly by far my worst experience. I don't post anything on line but this is one of those instances where I would hate to see another family go through what I had to go through. "you'll see management "disagrees". This is factual its nothing to agree or disagree to. Too bad I cant post more than 2 pictures.

Stayed here for family weekend because every other hotel was booked. We were very disappointed to say the least. The hotel looks as though it opens twice a year, family weekend and graduation to charge astronomical rates for a dump. Although the rooms were semi updated i. E carpeting replaced with wood laminate there was an odor as if closed up for a long period of time. The hallway carpet looks like it was 30 years old, worn completely through in spots.

This econolodge was dirty and not well-maintained. Chips in the paint on walls, stains on carpet and bedspread, as well as in the shower. The manager was polite.

This was a good place for an overnight stay, but it needs some updating. When plugging my charger into the outlet next to the bed I could hear it crackling like it had a short. The tub was not grouted between the enclosure and the tub. It was neat though and they offer a nice breakfast in the lobby.

Polite front desk associate, was able to accommodate our special requests. The room was really clean and tidy. The carpet was also pretty clean, unlike the other motels whose carpet is untidy. Save $$$ and stay here!

The Econo Lodge is clean and comfortable. I was impressed by how good the Wi-Fi coverage was. It is a good value for the money.

The service my friends and I received was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and odor free. The room is a bit aged but not too much and you get a refrigerator and microwave oven. It is a tourist attraction area and that being considered, the price is not bad.

Overpriced, dirty, ugly and made mistery charges to my credit card and didnt explain for what. Bad service in the front desk (the old guy its no friendly with the kids), bugs bit me on bed, they tell you a price for a week and charge other amount, Ive been on this hotel for 3 weeks because my husband is working in a project in Elkton, but we had to move to other hotel because of all of this especially for the additional unexplainable charges to the credit card, we feel like they stole our money.

We checked in late and got a room at a price higher than what the internet had listed the room. The room was clean, but smelled very strongly of marijuana. Not a great start. All in all the room was adequate, just not a very good value in my opinion. The hotel manager was plesent the following morning. We probably will avoid staying here if there is vacancy nearby next time we travel though here.

This place is horrid! I will NEVER stay here again in my life or afterlife!

For the couple of times I have stayed here I really enjoy my visit. I am and will be a returning guest. The staff was great, pleasant and respectful. Thank you.

After reporting several issues, why continue? I'm sure it's very apparent what the issues are. What I am most frustrated with is even though it's a high demand weekend with graduation how you can with good conscience charge $220+ per room? I even had to pay a $10 charge for the extra person in the room yet we didn't get any extra towels and when we asked for additional towels, there were none clean. My husband had to use my towel for his shower. So we paid extra for…? Filthy hotel with mold, dirty carpet that isn't even level, stained sheets, pillows so old they were hard and flat, Wi-Fi that kept kicking you out just checking emails, odor in room, lack of service, no elevator, and concerns that the smoke detector isn't even functioning (no light) to name some of our experience. This stay has really impacted my consideration for even staying with a Choice hotel in the future especially if this is the standard, price and product you think is the value of what we paid.

We stayed there for 2 nights and thinking back would totally spend $40 more and stay at the higher end of choice hotels. The room was ok. Very minimal breakfast. Some of the towels in the bathroom were dirty. If the conditioner was not working, there was very unpleasant smell of old room in there.

The front desk was incredibly helpful and provided excellent service. I believe her name was Abi. The rooms were decent and the price was really reasonable.

Don't use Pepsi machine. Coke is honest though.

Customer service was great, rooms were clean but need some updates/remodeling.

Dirty, Rude, Hazardous, Uncomfortable, Worst experience I have ever had with a motel. After booking our room and spending the night in Harrisonburg, we arrive back at the motel where two men are using the bushes as personal toilets. The men stumble in front of the car and starts yelling & cussing at our car. We continue a search for a nonexistent parking spot in a poorly paved parking lot when the employee on duty approaches the car. He comes to the window and rudely tells us we need to stop yelling & cussing "it's disturbing guests". To top it off the room looks like it hasn't been cleaned since before I was born. All in all was a horrible experience. The beds were not even comfy. Motel 6 is such a better deal and just across the street!

Can't beat the price, but you get what you pay for. Decent for a quick and easy place to stay Good: Fridge, microwave, coffee maker and hairdryer in room (don't usually get that for so cheap). Easy to get to and close to everything. Free and ample parking. Friendly staff. Bathroom was nicely cleaned. Water and heat warmed up quickly. Pet-friendly. Free and fast Wi-Fi. Bad: Mattress and pillow are so cheap, I couldn't get a good night's sleep and my back/neck are sore. The bed actually almost flipped off the frame when sat on one side — had to wedge the trash can underneath to stabilize it. The blankets were pretty scuzzy and gross, I only trusted the sheet. When I arrived, only 1 of 2 beds had pillowcases and the pillows looked pretty gross.
