We reserved in July for 4 nights starting in early September When we arrived on a Thursday in September we were put in the BASEMENT. Then on Saturday there was a wedding reception booked next to to our room. Lots of screaming kids. Reception goes to at least 11. Great service Hampton Inn. Stay classy.

Typical Hampton Inn. It seemed the best choice in the area. NOT easy on/ easy off to I-66, but worth it. Nice breakfast.

The staff is great, friendly and courteous. Rooms were clean and nice. Breakfast was good and they had bag lunches if you needed them. Overall we were impressed.

Outstanding Staff! I stayed at holiday inn not to far from here and this place is way better. Holiday inn rooms are not as nice as these are, plus they have fridge and microwave. Will come back to this place. Staff are so kind! My room was clean stayed on top floor!

Had a very nice stay here. Rooms were clean and generally in good shape. The only thing me and my wife didn't enjoy about the room was that they didn't have any way to play discs for movies. The breakfast was nice, with a good variety. Staff was professional and helpful. Would stay again at this location.

We had such a great stay at the Hampton Inn in Front Royal, VA. The staff was so kind to us and our children. They went above and beyond for us. Their rooms were nice, updated, and CLEAN! The shared amenities were so nice too. If you're in the area, we highly suggest this hotel! Thanks Hampton Inn!

Helpful and friendly staff. The rooms are clean, bathrooms are clean and bright. The indoor pool was a plus for the kids. The free continental breakfast was fresh and tasty.

Disappointing. My room is a "100% smoke free" room and it stinks like cigarettes. I have a used bar of hand soap for soap. That's a first for me after over 25 years of constant business travel…

Hampton inn was great. Employees were kind and helpful. I was alarmed at the clientele at breakfast. Barefoot people. People (adults) walking around with large blankets as capes. A large, not calm dog, walking through the lobby right past my young child. All a little off putting…

Very nice. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent. Room was pretty and spacious.

Decent hotel. Clock & remote didn't work but were immediately fixed. Clean, except for the elevator. Smoking area is outside, directly beside the entrance; the lobby smells like cigarettes.

Got the Jacuzzi suite king size! Comfortable bed and great friendly staff. Stayed there 2 nights while working 15hr days out of town and couldn't find a complaint. Nice indoor pool and work out area. Everything kept clean and tidy.

Although the hotel was conveniently located, clean, and had friendly staff, it was very noisy. I kept hearing what sounded like furniture being moved around all night. I also heard some one talking very loud to the point I was concerned about what was going on. The woman at the front desk knew exactly what I was talking about and said it was machinery on the roof. All the woman could do was offer another room but there was no point since I was checking out today.

Got the smoking room with Jacuzzi hot tub. Loved it, rooms were clean, private and quiet, no ashtrays kinda odd for a smoking room but other then that was a nice getaway night.

Clean, convenient, helpful staff. Our room had an HVAC system that blew powerfully directly on the bed. Not healthy. Also, breakfast was listed as going till 10am — we went down at about 9:15 to find supplies (oatmeal, cut fruit) depleted. But the kitchen helper was accommodating. Also, I called the day before to check in and the front desk clerk was extremely helpful in assigning us a quiet, non-smoking room (choose a higher odd-numbered room to be away from the highway and from the smoking rooms on the 4th floor).

Easily the nicest hotel in the Front Royal area. New, clean, TERRIFIC breakfast. Worth choosing when you visit the area.

I've came by this location so many times and have wanted to stay here but didn't for some reason or another. Stayed last week, I loved it. Great breakfast, quiet rooms, everything was just like I would expect a Hampton Inn to be except for the price, it wasn't bad at all.

Great hotel, staff was awesome. Very friendly, clean rooms. Good thick walls. Couldn't complain. They even had a pool to swim in. Recommend coming here if you come to Front Royal and need to get a room somewhere. This is the place to do it! Worth a few extra bucks to stay at this hotel vs motel.

I put my Mom there for a couple of nights for her visit to see her first granddaughter. The breakfasts were good and there were a lot of varieties to choose from. They even have travel snack bags for visitors on the run. Great customer service!

First night was great. I ended up in a very smoky room. When I requested help I was immediately moved to a non smoking room. After I unpacked & changed I realized I left something in the old room. Without hesitation, the front desk person ran up to the old room, retrieved it & brought it to me. Awesome service! The breakfast selection was a good one & very fresh. Will try to stay here every time I visit the area.

Not bad at all. Just wish they had allowed us to park our 3 motorcycles under the canopy before the rain hit. Other then that extremely friendly.

The location is convenient as there is a Wal-Mart and target not too far from the hotel. The staff was very pleasant. One issue was that the air conditioner was in our room was a bit loud, but not loud enough to keep us awake.

The staff was very courteous and friendly. The proximity to a variety of restaurants and shopping is good. The indoor pool was nice and the temperature was very comfortable for me. It was not too hot, but not too cold. There is also a nice fitness center. It got chilly the last night we were there and when I entered the lobby and stopped to get a cup of tea I saw they had hot chocolate, as well. Yummy!

Great place to stay! The king size bed was beyond comfortable! The lady who checked us in was such a sweet lady. I could tell that she really loved her job. I can't remember her name, but she had a four leaf clover necklace on. It's definitely a place I would stay again.

Breakfast was great, our room was huge and clean. It is an older Hampton but still nice and only minutes away from Skyline Drive and Skyline Caverns. Would stay there again. The location is perfect. Right next to Target and plenty of restaurants and multiple gas stations.

I stayed at the Hampton Inn Front Royal for a wedding. We called the day before to ask for early check-in so we could get dressed for the wedding before a shuttle arrived at 3:30 to take us to the venue. We were told that early check-in was first-come-first-served. We arrived at 1:30p and had to wait until 2:30 for our "early-checkin" (normal check-in time is 3p). I think there were a couple of events going on where people were staying at the Hampton Inn and were checking in early. We ended up being able to check-in early enough to get ready in time to take the shuttle. Leslie was very accommodating at the front desk and kept us updated on the availability of our room while we waited in the lobby. Overall the stay was nice. The room was cozy the staff friendly, and the pantry was even stocked with some libations for an extra good time. I'd recommend this hotel to friends who would be visiting the area.

I have stayed at this property many times& will continue to choose it every time I stay in the Front Royal area. The rooms are clean, beds comfortable, easy to access from I-66, breakfast is fresh, the staff is welcoming& very helpful. Always a pleasant retreat.

The only reason this isn't 5 stars is the bed was a bit hard. Clean room, awesome giant whirlpool bathtub in the room itself, super friendly staff, excellent waffles. Would stay there again.

Hotel was very easy to find and check-in to the room was a breeze. The rooms feel very industrial. Not very cozy. Not much thought was given when setting up the bathroom. The toilet toilet paper isn't reachable from the toilet, and the water pressure in the shower was pretty pitiful. The breakfast was pretty good, and consisted of sausage gravy and biscuits, fresh fruits, cereals, waffle maker, and a pre made omelet thingy. The room was clean and it served it's purpose as a halfway point on our journey south.

Our house is under construction and we needed a place close-by to stay for the night. The Hampton has always been a good experience-this time was no different. We were greeted by a very up-beat and professional young man named "Kevin". He answered our questions and checked us into our room. The room very clean and we had a restful stay. Thank you.

Looks like it's probably an older hotel that recently underwent renovations. Has meeting rooms in the basement.

Rooms are well maintained, and service is excellent.

The hotel staff were great and very accommodating. The rooms were comfortable and free, hot breakfast was perfect. The least favorite feature was the tub/shower. It looked old and out of date.

Overall, we were disappointed with this Hampton Inn on our recent stay and we usually have great experiences with Hilton and Hampton, so this was surprising. The beds were rock hard and awful, pillows were paper thin, and there were bugs of some kind crawling around on the ceiling. Heater was slow, old and our room was freezing on arrival — — clearly the room was not checked before hand. The only time we called the desk was to find out if we could get an extra pillow or two. "No, we don't have anymore sorry". Um, how is the entire hotel out of pillows? The hotel obviously wasn't full, so why not take some from an empty room? Won't be back.

Excellent place to stop great breakfast we have pet's and they are welcome very clean pet room.

Everything is clean and well maintained. Will stay here again next time were through.

They have remodeled this place since July of 2010. It is much nicer now. I recommend this place.

I booked a room there for my son and daughter in law, and the room was incredible. Very comfortable and new. The breakfast bar was yummy, too. Front Royal is a great town.
