Didn't honor CONFIRMED reservation
I went to Hilton. Com and reserved a room for the night, got the confirmation email complete with confirmation number, so life is good right? Wrong. After a very long day on the road and arriving after midnight I was told the hotel was full and there were no rooms available. Huh? When I asked then how did I get a confirmation number I was told "they" should not have done that. Obviously I was less than thrilled. After spending more than a half hour (it was approaching 1 am) while the night auditor/front desk person talked to "they" I was told the poorly rated Quality Inn next door had a room, when I inquired that we needed two beds (there were three of us and not all family) the auditor told me they had one room and a roll away bed. They did not have a roll away. But that is a different issue.

I stayed here three nights and I was very pleased. The beds were very comfortable. I was glad they provided an extra blanket in the closet. Glad I did not have to go ask fir one when I needed it. The room darkening shades cut out all light but there is also an inner shade on the windows that us kept closed but it let's the light in during the day. Very nice. Breakfast was excellent — I especially liked the omelets. There us always coffee available in the lobby. The coffee in the room is tasteless so get the lobby coffee. All staff were pleasant and helpful. I especially appreciated the lady in charge if breakfast prep and service. She worked hard with a cheerful spirit and cared about others.

We stayed for 3 nights over the 4th of July holiday. We had an outstanding experience! The staff is second to none… responsive, knowledgeable, very nice, and very helpful. The room we stayed in was very nice (Comfy beds, very clean, fridge, all the necessities), as was the rest of the facility. The carpet still smelled new! We were told the hotel was recently remodeled, and it showed. This hotel definitely rates at least a 4 STAR rating. AND, this is a great option if you are looking for an alternative to an overpriced, crowded Williamsburg hotel. Enjoy!

Access from the north required a u-turn. The hotel was clean, pleasant, and well maintained. Nice showers and bathrooms, comfy beds, and a desk, microwave, and minifridge as well. The a/c thermostat kept resetting itself, so we woke up throughout the night either too hot or too cold. The pillows are down, or equivalent. While some people might like that, we found they kept flattening out or sliding away from us in the night. We missed breakfast, and didn't get a chance to use the pool. It was small, but looked warm and inviting. If you're in Gloucester, it's a very nice hotel to stay at. Just pack a pillow.

My family from GA and NC came for two days and stayed at the Hampton Inn. They left this morning singing the praises of their hospitality. Thank you for being so kind to them.

I stayed here one night in a single king room. The check-in process was quick and painless. My room was on the second floor. The foyer was clean and my walk to my room was good as well. I didn't notice anything that felt unclean or poorly taken care of. My room was adequate in size and functionality. Nice desk and plenty of USB charging ports. The room was clean as was the bathroom and shower. The water was hot and there was excellent water pressure. Toiletry products by Neutrogena. Television is provided by Direct TV. There is also a business center, fitness center and indoor pool. Free continental breakfast from 6 to 10. If back in this area for work, I would stay here again.

Excellent service and good breakfast. I particularly liked you being open for breakfast a little earlier than 6AM, which was very helpful before my bike ride in nearby Mathews. The only minus was that the thermostat was hard to use, and the room was either too cold or too hot and the fan was very loud when cooling it from being too hot. I did eventually figure it out, but it made for a rough first night. Other that that one thing, it was a great stay and would definitely recommend your hotel in the future.

The staff gets 5 stars but the hotel needs a major update, our King Suite did not have a fridge, did not have a microwave or a safe. We had to run the hot water for over 10 minutes just to get luke warm water…

Quick check in. Southern hospitality. Even helped repair a broken shoe for a wedding. Great time.

Hotel was great for what we needed. Overnight stay. Didn't utilize the pool but beds were soft and they gave you a plethera of pillows. Rooms are HUGE. Breakfast was average but it's hard to do a lot with a buffet style breakfast.

Good hotel to stay at. However I was billed for a reservation that was cancelled during the proper cancellation time. Every time I call the hotel I have to keep leaving messages for the Manager. I don't think I will deal with hotel ever again.

For $117.00 a night, this is a great hotel. We got a queen sized bed, a nice sized room, a two part bathroom, desk, free Wi-Fi and free breakfast. The room and hotel were clean and comfortable. My wife and I like road trips, and will definitelly use the Hampton Inn again.

Nice room quiet area. Desk personnel should not promise 6 year old they will have cookies in the morning when it is not the truth.

I had a hard time getting hot water for the shower, took over ten minutes, then it never really got hot, ended up having to take my first (2) two showers in barely warm water. The pool was closed, could not use it. I was charged more than I was told I would be, and then was charged an additional $50 for a so called damage security deposit, I have still yet be reimbursed for this fee. Will never stay there again nor will I ever recommend that place.

Terrible experience. Not only is the hotel loud, but the walls are thin. I could hear everyone above, below, and next door all at once. Not a good place to go if you are looking to sleep well. I also was billed twice for the one night stay! My company paid online with a third party and they also charged my credit card for incidentals the same amount. After 4 days of calling and complaining, leaving the GM voicemails, I have yet to hear back from anyone! Not an "award winning Hampton inn" I would ever want to stay in again. They must vote themselves that award because there was nothing professional about this place. Not to mention, the call director, Diane, hung up on me numerous times and was beyond unprofessional.

I had stayed in a Hampton Inn before so I assumed that there would be a refrigerator in the room but that option is strictly "first come, first served" at this location. If we all pay the same rate, there should a $100 fridge in EVERY room. I got very little sleep because of the hippopotami in the room above me. I think they were just walking around but it was so loud! A little soundproofing goes a long way for a good night's sleep. I had quite a bit of luggage to take upstairs but there were only two bellman carts for the whole hotel. One large group had one cart monopolized in the reception area (standing around talking, not moving the luggage) and the other cart just happened to be left in the hall on the second floor. Using a bellman cart for a few minutes would have saved me multiple trips. There are three floors in the hotel so providing one cart per floor seems reasonable. Otherwise, everything was nice. The room was very clean and everything was in order. It's too bad that the other issues dampened my stay. I don't run a hotel but to me, the costs for these few changes would go a long way toward customer satisfaction. I'm trying the Comfort Inn next door the next time I'm in town.
