This hotel has some of the nicest people. I really like the older black lady on 3rd shift I think her name is Evelyn. Not sure. But there was a real sweet girl named niki she is a wonderful person. And then last but not least Esther she was very nice and I’ll be back down there Monday night.

The hotel is “under renovation” which is actually mold removal. They didn’t tell me that at check in, then put me on the third floor with no elevators that work. They also didn’t tell me the elevators were out of service.

Upon checking in we were told the pool was closed. Major disappointment since pool was a major incentive for booking. That and a double queen suite which was infested with fleas. Was moved to a king suite since that was all they had to accommodate 5 people. After moving to room desk called to say they had a room with 2 double queens that could take a folding bed so we moved to that room. They did refund half of my bill so that made up for the problems. All in all it was a good stay and the staff was excellent.

This place used to be pretty clean and nice. The place seems to be neglected. Things are falling apart. There are holes in the blinds. The pool was not functional and half empty. There were stains all over the furniture and lampshades. Things are in dire need of a good cleaning, including the shower head. If you plan on traveling with an infant that needs a crib, be sure to call well in advance to request one. They have a very limited number of cribs on hand. Restaurants nearby are pretty limited. There are a couple fast food restaurants right next door. Better food options are located near Onley. Breakfast is your basic continental breakfast. If you go in with the expectation that this place is somewhat neglected, then I am sure you will have a more positive experience.

Pretty good, for limited choices on the Eastern Shore. Rooms were clean, though in need of some repairs. The fitness center was complimented by a cable machine, though 50% of the treadmills (1 of 2) didn't work. Breakfast is usually good at Hampton, and this one didn't disappoint.

This was our first time here. For the last few years we’ve stayed across the street at the Holiday Inn. I wouldn’t recommend this place. The whole place needs new carpeting and some serious updating. The wood furniture and bathroom vanity all had nicks in the wood. The pool was very dirty and green in color. Definitely not worth $189 a night.
Next year we’ll go back to the Holiday Inn.

Went last night to check in and they had computers down, had to manually add in credit card info. $120 total for the night OK fine. front desk was nice though. We get in our room and shower had hairs everywhere wasn't cleaned. Rest of room fine. Next morning I see a $277 dollar charge I did not authorize by the hotel! . I imagine this was a problem with the rest of the guests as well with the computers down. I had called the front desk 3 times to which issue has not been fixed The district manager promised to call back and has not! I still have not received my unorthirzed charges back as of yet. Terrible terrible! I am on a budget and now this could cause me NSF fees if this is not fixed now! For that I think a full refund is deserving.

We had a lovely clean room. The breakfast buffet was delicious. We got in too late to enjoy the pool, but hopefully next time as it looked gorgeous!

Great place to stay — only complaints are the floor are squeaky and carpets old. Staff was nice and accommodating. Facilities otherwise are nice.

Staff is courteous and friendly, but there's a serious bed bug problem on the second floor. Mother's day weekend, rooms 217 and 219, a one-night stay, and tons of bites on my lower legs by Sunday afternoon after checkout.

We stayed in the room next to the gym. The shades we're not big enough to stop light from the rising sun, nor light from the literal lamp shining directly into the room from outside. The fridge was unplugged, wall paper pealing, and the septic tank had overflowed outside. The bed was nice, service was great. Breakfast was what is to be expected.

Hot water limited, towels need replaced, no psi for the shower. For $110.09 Not justified. Very sad for a Hampton inn.

First of all, I want to compliment on the night front desk stuff. They were being very helpful. My mother-in-law has gotten sick after we checked in, and the staff helped us getting an ambulance by call 911 for us and escorted the EMT up to the room. On the other hand, I wasn’t very fond about the room. My daughter felt something biting on her when she was sleeping on the sofa bed. She felt something jumping around her. So she immediately got up and went to take a shower right away. We bagged up the cloths she wore on bed and her stuffed animal just in case, and we notified the front desk the next morning we when we checked out. There’s also a strong metal or rusty smell in the water. I could feel my skin getting really tight after washing.

Beds were comfy, rooms were clean. Staff wasn't the most friendly, asked to change from a non smoking to a smoking room, was accommodated very promptly. Get to the room to discover no fridge or microwave. Call to ask about it and was told that I originally had a room with both, but since I wanted a smoking room, I got a room without. Just wish I was told this I the desk instead of being surprised when I walked in.

Always clean room happy staff shout out to miss Sandra very nice stay. We often use this hotel.

Had a problem with bed bugs (room 208) they switched us rooms and gave us a $25 dollar gift card to Macy's. Management wasn't present when they had a person "in training. " I believe the guy in training was Ricky and he did an amazing job taking care of us and getting things done with the absence of the manager.

I received great accommodating service this morning. Great staff! Happy Holidays…

My wife and I have stayed several weeks this year on separate occasions at the Hampton Inn Exmore as I worked in the area. We found the staff to be friendly, the check in/out to be easy and the breakfast buffet to be sufficient. The hotel itself is not well maintained or as clean as it could be (broken furniture, leaking sink pipes, some rooms with damp odors, hair in tub and bathroom, dirty rugs). During our visit in September, my wife had a good watch taken from the room. She informed the desk staff during our stay. I have had subsequent conversations with the manager of the hotel and several communications with representatives of Hilton Guest Assistance that have not provided any satisfaction about our loss. We have discussed our experience concerning this particular hotel and the Hilton organization with our friends and acquaintances. And I am writing this review to forewarn other travelers as in room safes are not provided.

Great people that work there nice rooms very comfortable I need a better television system and if you're going to the oyster and clam bake Festival that they have their great place to stay very close and convenient.

Exceptional room. Staff very pleasant. Hot food @ breakfast buffet.

Dated room. Scuffs on walls. Worn fixtures. Closet door went off track trapping my 5 year old daughter in the closet for more than 10 minutes. The staff that responded to my call for help were friendly and helpful. Door removed and left in closet for duration of our stay. Breakfast was fantastic.

Our room was amazing. Very large and very attentive staff. Clean and good view overlooking the saltwater pool, which our daughter and friend enjoyed. We met Miss Anna, a staff member who greeted everyone each morning at breakfast. She was a hard worker and a very social person. She provided a friendly face to the Hampton Inn team and we are anxious to go back again to visit our daughter in Exmore, and to see Miss Anna each morning. She has a very positive attitude and is very helpful and knows how to make the guests smile and feel welcome. Thanks, Miss Anna. We look forward to our next stay at the Hampton Inn in Exmore, VA.

Friendly people! Room were very clean and nice. The pool was salt water and fun for all! However, internet was not working and the septic tank was leaking causing a horrendous smell.

Our trip to Exmore, Va was because we wanted to stay in-between Cape Charles, Va where we like the beach & also driving to Chincoteague Island. We've stayed here before & never had much of a problem, but this time was a different experience. Our room had to be vacuumed when we first got there, was not ready, the breakfast was awful, same eggs almost everyday, little variety in baked goods. Thurs. We went down to pool & it was green, we were told it had to be shocked & would be fine next day, it wasn't. When we got back Th. Evening, our toilet was clogged & their was no Maintenance man on duty, we were told we'd have to wait til morning, unacceptable, so we were moved to another room all the way at the other end, and then were notified we would have to move again the next morning due to other people checking in. I would think you would take care of the present guests before booking more guests. Needless to say we checked out the next morning, will not be coming back. I would not recommend this hotel!

Location was very convenient. Staff was friendly and breakfast was good. Excellent air conditioning.

Location was good. Right off the road. Easy on and off. Continental breakfast was good. Many choices.

No fridge no microwave. Would have paid more but was not told. Wanted a bath tub and got a handicapped room. 3 stars is my best for exmore.

Room was ok. No fridge or microwave. Pool was closed. Breakfast is pretty standard for hotel breakfast. Hotel staff are exceptional. They make this hotel worth coming back to.

This is the worst hotel I have ever been too. The breakfast is cold, you have people stopping by to hang out where you eat breakfast throughout the night, family members of the employees come in to eat breakfast, staff just sitting around not working. I will never come back or recommend this hotel.

Large rooms but not all rooms have a microwave and fridge which is pretty standard for most basic hotels.

Expensive room my TV didn't work the room smelled like smoke even the pillow smells like smoke I definitely ask for a non-smoking room the carpet and draperies were old the shower really didn't work that well thank goodness I was only an overnight guest.

Pros: Nice, well appointed rooms, comfortabe bed, very friendly staff. Cons: floors not really clean, no straws at breakfast bar, cramped shower area.

Went here due to traveling back from CT online the rate was 88.00 needing sleep we stopped. Then the lady said the rate for military was 139.00 we went to pay and was told they can't make change for 200.00 cash. The lady was nice but really should of worked with us instead losing a customer.

Clean and comfy. Friendly staff. Exmore area kind of sucks, but if you HAVE to be there, this is a good spot to stay.

When we made our reservation, I specifically asked if our room would have a refrigerator because we were traveling from PA to FL and needed refrigeration. I was assured that we did have a frig. We arrived after traveling quite a few hours at 9:30 PM. When we got to our room, no refrigerator. A call to the front desk resulted in being told that only suites had refrigerators. Not what I was told when reserving the room. Desk clerk told us we could store our items in the public refrigerator where drinks were sold. So, I stuffed our items into the very back hoping that no one decided to help themselves overnight. So annoying. Then, when I returned to our room, my husband informed me that during my absence, the noise from the elevator right next door was horrible and that he wouldn't be able to sleep through that noise. We called again to the front desk, and they moved us upstairs to a third floor room (again, with no frig) at 10:30 PM. After traveling all day and hoping for a good night's sleep to continue on our travels the next day, we were very disappointed in our very first stay at a Hampton Inn. I think it's back to the Marriott for us!

Always greeted with a smiling face at the front desk and remembered from previous stays. Breakfast is great and the people that provide the meal are so nice. Room is always clean and duvet is washed. We are always comfortable at the Hampton Inn in Exmore.

Everything was OK, but the room was a little musty (definitely a smoking room previously). Bedding was clean, comfortable. Facilities were nice. Breakfast was as expected.

Very clean, new hotel. Best beds ever. Nice breakfast and pool. However on my way in a side door late in the evening I noticed SEVERAL house roaches immidiately outside the entrance. I also noticed 2 just inside the building. Over all, its a beautiful hotel and service is great but I coulda done without seeing the roaches. After all it is a Hampton Inn.
