Booked a last minute Labor Day Weekend get away. Everything was wonderful and the staff were amazing. We got in super late and they called to check on us and leave our key for us. I called ahead of time to let them know we would be arriving late but the call to check on us was super nice. We will definitely book again!

Maybe have an exterminator come out to control the flies! you pay over 200$ a night and cant even sleep without 50 flies crawlimg all over you! there was sand in our tub from previous guests and make sure to pay cash if u have no choice but to come here because they will charge ur card for smokimg on the property or balcony even if youre a non smoker! the older lady at the front got drunk with guests and drove home (said she had gastric bypass and got drunk quick and sober quicker) spend ur 200+ dollars a night elsewhere if u can!

Great family friendly hotel with beautiful views of the sunset. Private fishing & crabbing pier as well as slips to doc your boat. Rooms are spacious and comfortable.

Just like home. The staff are so warm and welcoming. Our favorite place to stay on Chincoteague island. Family owned and operated I believe.

Quiet little spot on the Chincoteague Sound with a balcony. In the middle of town and easy to get in and out. Hotel staff were extremely nice and helpful.

Loved the area and very clean Inn. The view was just gorgeous along with the serenity. The grounds were very clean. We were on second floor had a very sweet/friendly/approachable housekeeper. I have to get back there! It was beautiful!

Cozy little place for a peaceful get-away, great staff, clean, comfortable room.
I have not been to the Eastern Shore in over 20 years but I fell in love with the area all over again.
The only downside was I did not have the beautiful water view I had requested. I was further down on the 2nd floor with trees blocking the view. Next time I will know which rooms have the best view so I can plan accordingly.
All in all it was definitely a pleasant and relaxing time.

I picked Waterside because of the fishing pier! My boys love to fish and crab and they could do both while I hung out in the pool and swam with my other son. Typical shore town hotel. Very clean, beds are super comfy. Everyone who worked there was so nice. The rates were very reasonable and only a short drive to the main downtown area. Would stay again when we come back. Even had some roses given to me by Don who cares for the over 300 rose bushes they have. Take time to smell the roses they all have different fragrances!

We had a wonderful stay at the waterside. The roses are just beautiful. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Great views and beautiful sunset viewing from out terrace. Rob P.

I searched for the best value and Waterside Inn didn't disappoint. Great views, great location and property is well maintained. Spacious rooms and having the vanity area with a sink separate from the toilet is a plus. It's obvious that our particular room needed an upgrade with the furniture and two of the chairs in the room were badly stained. Nice to have a small love seat to sit on besides your bed but the love seat had an odor. We enjoyed our coffee out on the balcony both mornings and the sunsets later in the evening. Pool was clean but we didn't utilize it. Will definitely stay here again but having an upgraded room would make my review next time a 5 star review.

Stayed here Thursday thru Sunday it was in a very good location. The rooms were adequate and the breakfast was good. The roses around the property were an added bonus. The staff were very helpful in recommending restaurants, activities, and directions. The trolley picked up right outside the hotel after 5 pm and you could ride all over the island for just a quarter. The pool and jacuzzi were the right temperature.

I loved the room! It was nice, clean and cool. The small deck overlooked the water and it was lovely in the morning. The breakfast area was a bit crowded for all the people, but I loved how close we were to Chincoteague! I would absolutely go back and stay again.

We booked a queen room with a view online and received a call from the Waterside Inn informing us they accidentally overbooked and asked us if we would like an upgrade. They upgraded us, at no extra charge, to the nicest room in the hotel, 1 king bed with a view called the Diplomat. The bed was extremely comfortable, the location was fantastic, and the views were amazing! A wonderful breakfast was included, a jacuzzi and a pool were available and a dock only for Waterside guests was available for your boat. I would recommend this hotel to anyone, I had a wonderful experience.

Just left here yesterday after a 4 night stay! Absolutely loved the view from our 2nd floor room! Room was comfortable and had a great private balcony. Breakfast included daily, consisted of waffles, eggs, sausage, biscuits, sausage gravy, toast, pastries and fruit! Small area in the office to dine, or trays to bring to your room. Small pool overlooking the water and grills near the private fishing pier! The only thing that was a bit different was that we could hear people walking either above us or on the stairs. There are signs though advising to walk softly on the stairs, and it's certainly not the hotels fault if people walk loud. The office staff was super friendly and very accomodating. From the get go, they provided us a map of the area, highlighting the main attractions, and were prepared with a rainy day activities sheet! Very thoughtful and helpful to us being new to the island! Trolley stop right in front of the hotel, and you can't beat 25 cents per person for the ride! We look forward to staying with them again!

The pool is heated to 80 degrees and is open until 1 am, which was nice. No lifeguard. Breakfast is good with a variety of options, though you need to find someone to make your waffle if you want one. Rooms are as clean as your average hotel room. Housekeepers should keep the doors closed when they clean because flies tend to get in. The ground floor doesn't have much of a view, but the upper levels do. I liked the little private porch on the outside of the far end of the room. Had a frig. Microwave, coffeemaker. The front desk seems a little understaffed. Check-in is at 2:30 according to staff, but our paperwork said 2 pm, and shift change was at 2:30, which didn't make sense.

My family and I stayed here for 3 nights. When we got their our room wasn’t finished being cleaned. But I’m ok as long as it’s done right. And it was worth the wait. The two ladies on the first floor housekeeping team are wonderful and kept our towels stocked and made sure whatever we needed we got. The office area where they serve breakfast was fantastic. Karen does a superb job at making your waffles and they are so good! They have an outdoor heated pool and this little gem sits right on the pier. You can go out in the evening and have the PERFECT view of the sunset. So beautiful. This was my first time visiting the island and I already can’t wait to come back and stay at the waterside inn again.

Wonderful stay here. Waterside view from our lanai was beautiful. Sunsets were awesome. Quaint, quiet with friendly staff who helped us with their suggestions of what to do in the area. Good breakfast food. Very nice rooms and beds were very comfy. Will definitely be back.

Really nice place the rooms are nice size. They serve a buffet breakfast also very good. The staff is helpful an very friendly. You can walk down the dock and look out over the water. Nice pool and Jacuzzi. I would recommend this establishment to everyone.

We stayed at the motel on memorial day weekend. Very nice room and nice soft beds. Big plus having there our fishing pier. Do not need a Va. Fishing license on the pier. Very nice staff. And great free breakfast.

One of the best hotels I have ever stayed at! Amazing views, friendly staff and most important CLEAN rooms. Location is fantastic only an hour from ocean city maryland. We will be back.

What a charming place to stay in this historic waterfront town! It's an older facility but neat, clean and the staff made us feel welcome. And we enjoyed the breakfast each morning as it offered us the opportunity to chat with other guests and share experiences. I much prefer staying here as opposed to one of the commercial hotels in the area. Highly recommended!

I rented a condo, which was nice and fully stocked for kitchen supplies. Hotel amenities are pretty good, having access to the tennis court as well as rackets and tennis balls is a great bonus. Fairly well situated, not far from downtown Chincoteague. Make sure to read the fine print about occupancy and extra fees. I missed this and got charged a fair amount more than I expected.

Went here off-season, mid-April 2018. All of the positive reviews were true. This place was really nice. My only gripe is that when they say breakfast is from 8-10am, they mean 10am sharp, on the dot, they're done AT 10AM! All the staff was friendly and welcoming, the rooms clean and spacious, plenty of lights and accessible outlets. A very nice place and the price was very reasonable booking through Groupon.

Nice clean, peaceful, place with amazing views! Great price (purchased Groupon) included breakfast, pool right on the water (in season), spacious rooms, comfortable beds, indoor hot tub, health room, Wi-Fi, cable, and parking!

Friendly staff, very clean rooms! Amazing view of the sound. Beautiful sunsets. Indoor hot tub/exercise room very clean. Private fishing pier, picnic tables, BBQs, outdoor pool. Close to everything. Average breakfast, and the beds were extremely soft and bouncy. That would be my only complaint. I hated to leave, and can't wait to return!

The location is just on the Chincoteague Bay, perfect for watching sunsets on their private dock. There is also a private gym/Jacuzzi room that is wonderful after a long stressful day. Donna Mason is a wonderful woman and only hires the best to work there, be it for cleaning or cooking one of the wonderful breakfasts.

Awesome hotel. Peaceful and quiet in the winter and you'll always have a waterside view here. My room was clean and well kept. I was pleasantly surprised to find the room had a microwave and refrigerator. My room even sported a sofa and cushiony rocking chair If you want to sit outside they have a patio you can rest or have a quiet smoke. The staff is also very sweet. The breakfast has every thing you need. Some food is a hit or miss but they have a good old fashioned waffles and hot coffee to get your day started. I look forward to coming back in the summer.

What a cute hotel. I went to get away from everything for a night and this was a great place to turn off and unwind. The front desk staff was so friendly and the breakfast was homemade and delicious! The place is very beachy so don't go if you are expecting bells and whistles. It is simple, homey, comfortable, quiet, and totally relaxing.

We enjoyed this place. It is hardly a fancy hotel compared to most standards, but we were pleasantly surprised and enjoyed the waterfront views.

I like it here! The rooms are nice and well-kept. Crabbing at the dock is especially fun. The view of the sunsets are nice as well. The owner seem like nice and pleasant. I’d recommend going before or after pony swim. Unless you like the traffic and crowds. Getting to know the locals makes it a little more special coming here.

I just love Waterside Inn. I’ve been here before a long time ago. Gorgeous room, very clean and comfortable. The views of the Chincoteague Bay. Breath taking. The complimentary breakfast was a lot more than what I was expecting. Very good. This is a family owned business and that’s what it feels like… family. I will be returning and will highly recommend it.

Loved it! Was only there for one night. I needed to just get away to get "refreshed. " What a perfect place just to do just that. Wish I stayed longer. Great view of the bay. It rained really hard early in the morning. Once it stopped I was able to sit on the sofa, listening to the wind and watching such a lovely morning view through the glass doors. The bed was extremely comfortable. Room was clean. The staff was very friendly and professional. This was my first time in Chincoteaque Island and it def will not be my last. Looking forward to coming back in the spring. I think I found a new place to escape to… ☺

We had a wonderful peacefuk five days. We rilled inti tiwn and my vehicle broke down. The friendly staff rode us wherever we needed to go. Always a smile and a great breakfast. We will be back! Hot tub was spectacular at sunset over the bay.

Great hotel with amazing views. Rooms are clean and the breakfast is good. Pool and dock/pier are great to spend the evening on. Pet owners should note that this hotel is strictly no pets, with no exceptions.

We stayed at the condos across the street. The staff at the hotel was friendly and professional. We took advantage of all of the Hotel amenities including the crabbing docks. Crabbing from the crabbing dock was mediocre at best. Everything else about our stay was great. We did a fishing trip with Captain Pete's was fantastic caught a shark went clamming. It was really great. We spend a couple of days at the beach it was crowded but really fun. Our favorite restaurant was called AJ's highly recommended.

This week marks our anniversary and it brought back painful memories of our experience at this hotel. My brother was dealing with health issues and we were afraid we would miss our trip but he improved and we were off to Chincoteague. I called ahead and lined up our rooms and even told them what we were dealing with. We got there and we're underwhelmed with the accommodations, but we were there. During the morning of our second day the had to rush my brother to the ER… I informed the staff who were well aware of what we were going through… no kind words, no understanding, no empathy whatsoever. They had my money so I try to appeal to their better nature to maybe get anything back I could on the second night because we had to leave. No kind words, no understanding, no empathy, no refund… not even a penny. We left without making a scene but any gesture would have been nice. They shot a cleaning person up to our room before we could even finish packing… I'm sure to try to get double paid for that room… I don't know that for sure, in fairness, but it sure seemed that way… it was a very busy weekend when the ponies we're there so I'm sure booking our room that night was not a problem. Would not recommend at all.

Wonderful experience! The staff is super friendly and welcoming. Breakfast felt like at mom's house. Rooms were very clean and well presented. The Jacuzzi is on the second floor near the first stair case.

Me, my husband, our daughter and family stayed at this beautiful hotel with private everything on the bay for a night on our way to a vacation destination and it was an amazing experience. It wasn't til I was 2 almost 3 hours away that I realised I left my beats headphones and my Tiffany and co wedding ring in the hotel as we were just checking out I literally left both in the room. I called right up and they confirmed my belongings and made sure to get them to me over night even at my expense the experience was priceless, these are such amazing honest people that do good business with an amazing hotel. If you plan on visiting I highly recommend waterside inn, AMAZING staff and a really wonderful stay. Thank you so much for an experience I will hold dearly and be thankful for forever! We will surely be back!

We were only here overnight, but had a great experience! The room was very clean, staff was extremely friendly, and breakfast was completely satisfying. Wish we could have stayed longer!

This Inn is family owned and you can tell they take pride in their business. The rooms are spacious, well cared for, and the beds are very comfortable. Grab a coffee and sit out on your balcony to enjoy the scenery and beautiful weather. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Will be the only place I stay while on Chincoteague Island.

Stayed at the condos, off peak season. Good value for money, clean an convenient for visiting Assateague Island. The reviews of the breakfast are way overrated. It could be defined as a "high fructose corn syrup feast".

Waterside Inn is located on Main St but towards the end, so it's very quiet yet still close enough to food and shops. All rooms have balconies that face the water and it's wonderful! I stayed in a second floor room with 2 Queen beds, double sinks, TV, microwave, mini fridge, Wi-Fi, complimentary breakfast and plenty of views. The staff here has been so friendly and helpful. Only reason I wouldn't give it a 5 is because the beds and pillows are slightly uncomfortable for my taste and my whole 2 night stay there's been a strong odor of bug spray or maybe a cleaning product. I'll definitely visit again though!

Located on main street where a lot of the main shops, restaurants and theater are on. The room was clean, the little amenities were a nice touch, and the balcony outside had a view of the water. Service was great for whatever I needed, easygoing and friendly staff you couldn't ask for more.

I spent three nights at Waterside Inn and I loved it. The room was nice. The bed was comfortable. The view was so beautiful. The location is great. The staff was friendly and helpful. What else can I say except that I can't wait to go back! :-)

Well that was the worst customer service I have ever had They cheap really cheap for the price being charged. The picture from your balcony never will be the same as on their website unless you are on way very right side of the building. We had bushes and swamp in front of our room. Stick was coming from it in the evening. When I asked them to switch us to the waterside view room that what they promised on the web and phone is not very true. They said " if you don't like it get out now" that wAs the owner and she raised her voice at me. I could not believe it. Than their admin office combine with dining area. Everything tiny and cheap. Paper plates no fresh fryers. Deluded juice horrible coffee and waffles are raw. No really place to seat and over crowded with 10 people being in room. They rude cheap charge a lot and have a horrible views from rooms and far down town. I would never go there and would never recommend it to anyone Chincotigue inn is cheap place to stay but much pleasant and closer to everything. Hampton Inn is very good may be even excellent for the same price like this waterslide Inn Sent from my iPhone.

We stayed 2 nights at Waterside Inn and were REALLY pleased with our stay. The staff was very friendly, suggesting great places to eat and sights to see. Breakfast was good with a nice variety of food. The rooms were comfortable and it was great having a small porch on the back of each room. It sat on the edge of the water — great for evening walks onto the pier. The best thing was that it was also within an easy walking distance of several restaurants and shops. We would definitely stay there again.

Couple years from being on hotel hell. The paint is chipping, the carpet is dingy, the room smells, and the bed is uncomfortable. However the view on the balcony was nice. I bet it was a really nice place years ago, but the upkeep is almost nonexistent.

The staff was absolutely amazing and friendly. Our stay was homey and the rooms and grounds are very clean and well kept. We will definitely go back! Dawn and William.

Everyone is so friendly here! Rooms were nice, bed was ok. Sort of lumpy. Nice and clean. Breakfast was good and free. View to the south from the decks of each room is great. Especially if they are launching rockets at Wallops island. We would definitely return.

Wife and I had a delightful overnight. Clean, great setting, nice pool, friendly staff. Can walk to restaurants, shops, enjoy the birds and water.

We arrived on the spur of the moment (off season Sept) and found a great hotel! The air conditioner was on full when we arrived (freezing! ) but after opening the slider to the porch it warmed up. The room was large and clean. Loved a late night swim in the heated pool. The staff were wonderful! The breakfast (included) looked good but we'd had our hearts set on the seafood omelet at Bills Restaurant a few blocks away.
